Decent game. As bad a they were you can only beat what's put in
front of you. Burnsey was the only person who I think had a bad
game due to not getting a touch :p

yeah was a decent game, alot of good football at times and
people moving into space ready for the pass, now i dont know if
this was because it was an easy game that people seemed to be
wanting the ball more but people need to start doing it in big
games aswell if we are going to go anywhere this year, anyway
thats the bad point out of the way
if you look back we could have being about 10 - 0 up at half
time meaning we created loads of chances and like you say burnzy
was a statue at the back but when he was called on he done his
job.
well done lads - lets take this into our next game eh?

I thought there was a massive amount of positives to come out of
yesterdays game,the passing is the main thing for me.The passing
yesterday was the best ive ever seen us,people moving into
space,collecting the ball,holding it up and looking for movement
instead of just kicking it anywhere.As for the chances i will
take the blame for not putting them away and ive spoken to dan
about this and want some extra finishing practice for myself,but
i think i managed to get into those positions and make chances
in the first instance so thats a positive.I know also that i
wasnt the only one missing chances and people who did know who
they are and im sure they will want to improve that side of
their game aswell.
I felt personally more than last year that people are starting
to know each others games alot more now which is invaluable in
my opinion.For example il use paul mac,part of my game i like to
make runs and i need people to be able to spot those runs and
know im going to make them,9 time out of 10 yesterday paul mac
knew i was going to make those runs and played a few good balls
through into the space i was running into,which in the long run
if we are starting to know each others games its going to create
goals.
Overall great performance and im very optimistic for this season
for us :)

This is true that they made us look a lot better due to being
awful, but that shouldn't take away from the fact we played some
great stuff, especially in the first half. We created a lot of
chances, which is a huge positive. Think the only small
negative, which isn't even that much of a negative, is not
always playing the simple pass. Think everyone is guilty of it
from time to time, myself included. Overall it was a good
performance boys well done!

I agree loads of positives great movement, used the wings
really well the full backs supported going forward
On a personal note I had the first touch of a rapist and the
shooting ability of a gunner with parkinsons but I suppose pre
season is designed to smooth out the problems, hopefully once
the season starts it'll be better well at least my legs haven't
gone ;)
All in all though a good performance against a side who probably
thought they would have had an easier game
Really looking forward to the season starting now
Come on the Mallard :)
