       Yesterdays Game

       I've copied this from the leagues website. I think they are
       talking about our game
       Well 3 more instances of referees in trouble with players
       yesterday which has resulted in one of them packing in for this
       season initially. For the sake of £20 a ref yesterday was nose
       to nose with a player and feared for his safety. This is
       disgusting to say the least. I hope the player gets the book
       chucked at him.
       On top of this we have had fighting on the sidelines at another
       game, and another ref nearly abandoning a game cos of the
       constant abuse he was receiving.
       All this comes 5 days after it was discussed at the meeting
       about it. The timing is also poor as it comes on the back of
       some of our refs gaining promotion.
       When are people going to learn. We NEED refs or we've got no
       football.

       The behavior from the easington lads was out of order yesterday
       like.. threatening to beat a man up thats just there to do his
       job. specially when he's probably not got any defense about him
