When bunting, there are many scenarios to consider. How many
outs there are, where are there runners at, are the corner
infielders playing in, what is the score, how is the hitter,
etc. When the batter is average and the team's goal is to get as
many runs as possible, bunting hurts the team's chances of
scoring, potentially causing them to lose.

In baseball butting can be good in some situations and bad in
some. Bunting can make a team on average .18 runs worse.
Although in some cases it is better to have a poor hitter bunt
rather than have an unproductive out. If a batter gets out 85%
of the time it is a good idea to have him bunt, it can even
       increase predicted number of runs.

This week was a weird week for my fantasy team. Me and Joey
decided to start Kirk Cousins and Stefon Diggs because they were
playing one of the worst teams in the league, the Buffalo Bills.
But for some reason the Bills decided to be good and they
absolutely demolished the Vikings and made Kirk and Diggs have
       terrible games.

Having a designated hitter is beneficial to the American League.
The National League sacrificed bunt 653 times out of 92673 plate
appearances (.705). The American League sacrificed bunt 272
times out of 92622 plate appearances (.294). The lowest number
of sacrificed bunts by a pitcher in the National League is 15
while the highest is 42. The lowest number of sacrificed bunts
by a pitcher in the American League is 0 while the highest is 4.

I didn't expect bunting to decrease over time but I also never
looked at the pros and cons to bunting. Choosing to bunt lowers
a teams average runs and doesn't have as many benefits as not
       bunting.

Yesterday, we looked into baseball if it is a good idea to bunt.
After I looked into it and read Mathletics I decided it wasn't
a good idea to bunt. The only time it would be good is if you
had a bad hitter going up and they rarely get on base by a 5%.
That way at least they will advance a runner and not just get an
out. When analyzing the average bunts per year in American and
National league, Al makes less bunts. The difference overall
from the 80's to now was .80.

This week in fantasy was my closest game yet. Team Jimenez
started Fournette who didn't play and I didn't take advantage of
that like I thought I would and only had 2.7 points over him.
But a wins a win. Mclovin.

In baseball, bunting is good but there are many scenarios to
consider. They have to be smart when to bunt; they have to know
how many outs there are, the score, where are there runners at,
       etc.

To steal or not to steal depends on multiple factors. It depends
on how many outs are there, how many people are on base and
which base is considered being stolen. Stealing first can
increase projected runs if the probability of success is at
       least 75%.
