Kathleen had laid in bed attempting to sleep away some of the
physical exhaustion from the day, but she just found herself up
in bed, the shawl soft against her cheeks as she held the files
close to her eyes to see through the faint dimness her bedside
candle managed to give. All the papers had seemed the same so
far, until she dug deep enough into the files to find one
interesting article that their mole had dug up. Apparently,
Donovan had stumbled across some...interesting cash. In all
honesty, Kathleen had never seen such digits! Now, how he'd come
across this money, she couldn't figure out from the text, but
still, that was quite a lot...She was rereading through the
print as she dug through her bedside table, producing the small
flask containing a thick, strong whiskey. She unscrewed the top
and pressed the opening to her lips, gulping back the liquid
fire until her veins burned from the very existence of the
fluid. Gosh...that much money...you'd never have to work another
day in your life. Kathleen sighed happily at the prospect before
sliding the paper back in its file, throwing it haphazardly and
clumsily to the floor where the papers slid out and spread like
snow, all the while she tipped the flask to her lips once more
to engorge herself in its fiery grip. It felt nice to let go
like that, to just drink and drink until everything just didn't
matter anymore. That's how she'd even managed so far in this
life. It wasn't fun, nor was it liberating to basically be the
whore for your company, but in a time where things were becoming
tough and there was nothing but violence on the streets, wasn't
it necessary to do what you could to survive? It wasn't like she
was living too bad... If you called selling out your body okay.
"Whatever...it doesn't matter..." She mumbled in a more slurred
tone to herself as she attempted to screw the cap back on the
flask, only to simply drop it on the floor with a thunk,
shrugging as the world turned into a hot, spinning vortex around
her, mumbling off incomprehensibly before she settled back into
her pillows, her eyes closing almost immediately as she drifted
a world better than this one. She just knew she'd regret this
decision in the morning.

It was a new day, and a new job. Hazama remembered the files,
one containing money. He remember the seven digits... now a days
that would be in the nine digits. He fantasised about the things
he could do with that money. He could settle down, do the things
he loved, and have enough money for a proper burial for his aunt
and brother. He thought about how most men would blow it on
whores and booze. He would buy booze, but not waste all of his
money. He wasn't a serious alchohalic at all. He drank
occasionally, and rarely more than five shots. He polished off
his boots, and cleaned off his suit. He decided to threw on the
newly clean suit, but he left his fedora on the dresser. He
walked quietly down the stairs, and went into the kitchen and
pulled out a thing of rice and started boiling it. While waitng
he went to his room, opened up a drawer and pulled out a glass
of whiskey and downed a few gulps. He put a clog back on and put
it in the drawer. He then walked back down and his rice was
ready. He pulled out a bowl, poured the rice in it and ate it
(what else was he going to do with it?). He threw the bowl in
the sink and walked near Kathleen's door, unaware of her
hangover and knocked on her door, waiting for her answer.

"Ugh...shit..." The female groaned out from beneath her sheets,
only the tip of her flaming red hair able to be seen as she
scuffled inside the mess of sheets. She pulled herself up only
to immediately regret the decision, hissing and groaning at the
pain throbbing inside of her head, the sound of the knocking
upon the door only ringing like a jackhammer inside of her
brain. Wincing, the female slowly sat up, very gently, and she
carefully made her way to the door with a slow opening, wincing
as light struck her eyes and only magnified the pain inside of
her head, sighing loudly and almost pathetically as she stood
there, disheveled and mused from her night's heavy slumber.
"What do you want, Hazama, it's too early..." She sighed but
opened her door anyways, trudging towards the table they'd
previously sat at where she set her elbows upon the table,
laying her head in her hands before peeking up slightly. "Did
you look through those files last night? I found some really
interesting stuff...seems big cheese Donovan's got quite the
load of jack..."

"You should know not to use 'jack' and 'load' in the same
sentence." Hazama laughed and went back to here question, "Yeah,
I seen the file... I could finally give my brother and aunt a
proper funeral. I was thinking something... Why not get the
money for ourself... this may sound insane, us facing an entire
mafia, but I need my family to be honored. You could buy an
honest life, and not have to sell you body, unless you wish."
Hazama looked at Kathleen. "You are such a hypocrite. You
complain that I am a drunk, and here you are with a hangover!
This is to good to be true!" He laughed like a hyena. "Anyways,
Antonio said we have a mission there. We have to guard the
money... There's an armored car there. We can stuff all the
money in it and go! Ride on out into the sunset. However, two
others will be there. I guess I can take them out. What do you
think?" Hazama lifted his arms placing them on the doorway
awaiting for what Kathleen had to say.

"You're awful..." She sighed loudly into her hands before
dragging them across her tired looking face, brushing her hair
back with her hands as she turned in her chair towards the
doorway to barely look over her shoulder, her emerald irises
glancing at him intensely despite the time of morning and her
hangover. It just seemed to be a natural habit of hers. But the
gaze softened slightly at the mention of his family, and she
turned her back to him and sighed again as she leaned into her
hands with a groan of the chair beneath her. "It's ironic to
call it an honest life with dirty money..." But...the
opportunity seemed nice. She could live that little happy life
she wanted. Settle down in a nice place, find an actual
man...maybe even have kids of her own. But...that was stupid.
All she needed was a place to herself and nothing more, men
never liked her for "her", and that was okay. It wasn't like she
liked them in return either, she only did anything so that she
could get the cash to survive. So, survive she would. It was too
hard to survive if you had to worry about something precious to
you.
At his drunk comment, Kathleen simply let out a sound of
distaste. "Unlike you, I rarely drink. Smoking's more my thing,
stud. And what I think is that you're off your horse, bub..."
Kathleen began to stand though, tilting her head back to look
towards her ceiling as she placed one hand on her hip, laughing
quietly as she shook her head before lowering it back enough to
look up towards him, quirking a brow above her visible eye.
"But, it's not like I have anythin' to lose."

Hazama flipped his hair into it's natural shaggy style. "I think
we could do things more than Mr. Senior over there. I could try
to live a somewhat normal life, so can you! We can work
together, we pull off this heist and I guess we can go our
seperate ways." Hazama had talked to Kathleen about things they
each could do with the money but he thought it when in one ear
and out the other. He told Kathleen that he had gotten an old
weapon from Vinnie, the asshole they killed earlier. A black
revolver with golden markings flowing throughout the weapon
evenly. He walked out of the building and showed told Kathleen
that they both were on a path to hell, so they might as well
live life the best we can. He took out the weapon and threw it
in the back of the car. He ran to the car, and gave Kathleen a
weapon. "You're going to have to learn to use this, you won't
have others to do your dirty work forever." He started up the
car and drove to the Antonio's warehouse where the money was
stored. He took the gun from the back and shot them both in the
face. He asked Kathleen to hide the bodies in the office near
the back. He took the bags of money throwing it into the back of
the armored car. He repeated the process for a while until some
of Antonio's men drove up. "Kathleen! We have to go!" Hazama
sprinted into the car waiting for Kathleen. They were to late
Antonio's men opened the warehouse door. Hazama backed up the
car full force running over the goons car, and their body with
it. He looked at Kathleen and talked to her saying "That's what
ya' call roadkill!" He put the car into full drive and asked
Kathleen where they should go.

It was certainly...hectic. Doing the job they just did. Her
heart pounded so hard she thought it'd burst from her chest and
straight onto the floor, it didn't help that her head had the
same blasting effects of an explosion within the inside. Sweat
dripped across her skin out of sheer fright as their car sped
off, her hands gripping tightly into the seat, the very hands
that had to touch yet another set of dead men. Was this honestly
how her life was gonna go on? Running, killing, and then running
some more?... Kathleen was a panting mess as she attempted to
settle her nerves. He was asking her a question...but Kathleen
couldn't quite focus. She hadn't told Hazama something... There
were a few items she'd retrieved from the office she'd stashed
the dead bodies in, and as it was a secret to him, it was a
blasting fear deep inside of her head. But, this was how she
had to survive, right?...
"Just...keep going. When you think we're safe, park somewhere
out of the way, we don't need to be spotted..."

"When were safe? Are you fucking crazy?! This city is full of
mobsters, cops, and people out to get me for gambling debts!"
Hazama was yelling at Kathleen when he noticed how much of an
asshole he sounded. "Look, I'm sorry. I have a place, run down,
yeah, but I got it for free." Hazama took a sharp left turn,
accidently hitting Kathleen's shoulder lightly. "Sorry. Oh, did
you hide the bodies well? We don't need Corleone on our asses."
Hazama drove to the wrecked old building. The place looked a
junkyard. "Well, here we are." He parked the van in the garage.
"Sorry about how crappy the outside is." He walked into the
building with Kathleen and the inside was immaculate. Perfectly
clean, polished and beautiful. "The outside is a distraction.
Why not make yourself at home?" Hazama hopped onto the couch and
pulled a whiskey bottle out of his suitcase. He downed a few
gulps. "Oh, and Kathleen," Hazama threw her a silver lighter
with serpents and dragons carved into it. "Here's the lighter I
told you about the night of the little mishap at your room." He
went into the kitchen and put his whiskey bottle away. "You
looked troubled. Anything you want to get off your mind? I won't
judge you." Hazama had put on a sincere and concerning look.

"You don't think I know that!" Kathleen's nerves were split
between the whole adrenaline situation, the fear over what
they'd just done, and the complete lack of smokes she'd had this
day. She was jittery and her fingers practically clawed into the
fabric of the seat, the frantic turning and the unexpected bump
of his shoulder practically throwing her off the edge of her
momentary sanity. "I hid them well enough, it doesn't matter
let's just...get somewhere..." Kathleen held her head in her
hands before dragging both her hands through her hair, and by
the time she was beginning to come down from her anxiety, they'd
pulled up in the rundown junkyard. Of course her face betrayed
her distaste, but she honestly couldn't complain considering
that they didn't have much of a choice...so she followed Hazama
into his abode, pleasantly taken aback by the pleasing interior.
Already, Kathleen began to feel better, and as she slid down
into a chair, crossing her legs while searching for her smokes,
Kathleen's hand flashed up immediately to catch the lighter he
threw. Exhaling in relief, Kathleen produced her small, silver
case from within the confines of her dress and she pulled out
yet another cigarette, almost shoving it between her lips as she
lit it, inhaling greedily. "Nothing's wrong, just this whole
thing is insane..."

"It certainly is insane. That and we're in Donovan's territory.
Luckily, this is the only area they don't have control of,
mainly because it's in the middle of a junkyard." Hazama looked
at Kathleen, inhaling and exhaling the dangerous stick as if she
needed it to survive. "You really like those things, do you?"
Kathkeen looked at Hazama almost expressionless, so he dropped
the entire question. "We may have gotten away, but Corleone
knows of this safehouse. He was the one who gave it to me.
However, as mentioned this is Donovan's territory. We're safe
from Corleone, but Donovan payed a visit to that old bar, cut up
the bartender real good, found his limbs all over the place. So,
yeah, Donovan is a worry." He went to the kitchen, pulled out
the whiskey bottle again, and drank another few gulps. We
flipped the half full bottle in the air after putting the clog
back on, catching it barely. He passed Kathleen the bottle and
asked her if she wanted a sip. The bottle appeared to be an
expensive brand, having a gold looking emblem on it. "I'd drink
up, some alcohol like that isn't cheap!." Hazama failed horribly
at trying to hide it, but he was definately an alchoholic,
regardless of what he says.
