Listening to her put him at ease slightly, though that
frown didn't lift. "Mages and Trenvays don't get along because
us Trenvays like to cause troubles for humans for amusement.
That's where the push came from. The pull on the other hand, is
because I'm not just a Trenvay. I'm a Trenvay that is a guardian
of the land and the ocean. Taking on both parts of land and sea.
There are six worlds that you probably don't know about. They
were birthed by an Ozali.. Ozali's are possessors of a ton of
Jiknap, a magical substance that sustains the ability to do more
than just the power they were granted. Including overriding
someone else's will. This Ozali created the five worlds instead
of six. The six being a Trenvay born from the Ozali's stomach.
In the stomach of this Trenvay were the seeds of the land that
he was suppose to create. The Ozali soon died and the Trenvay
was left to create the sixth world. Instead of creating it with
the same jiknap he possessed and perishing just as the Ozali
did, he did something different.." Pausing, Iayzu looked to her
with a small smile.
"He went to the wind and asked to ride upon his back. The wind
only granted this request but warned him that if he fell off,
then the wind would not turn back to get him. So the Trenvay
held on for dear life as he took his knife and cut a corner from
each of the five worlds. Soon as he ended up in the blank space
once more, he dropped from the wind. The Trenvay ate the corners
of the world and soon coughed up a single seed that was the
combination of them and the seeds. Placing it on the ground, he
washed it with Jiknap and this world was born. It is called the
Changing lands. For it is never the same and change is
inevitable. While as the other five worlds, always remain the
same. I tend to the Changing Land, the changing tide as well.
That is why you feel that pull towards me. Because I am not
simply a Trenvay.. I am closer to an Ozali, but without the
power hungry part that chooses to devour all others who posses
Jiknap."
Iayzu sighed and leaned back against the large amounts of
pillows, folding his hands behind his head. Closing red orbs, he
continued to speak. "Mages were born from the jiknap of the
seed. So Trenvays, though they don't normally possess any
jiknap, and Mages, who are full of it to continue their magic
over long years, don't get along. Mages and Trenvays that are
guardians on the other hand, do get along. Because of the simple
fact that they hold respect for the one who guards the land that
they were born from. As well as the fact that we are capable of
keeping everything so well in tact. I am no normal Trenvay, but
I don't see myself as anything more than an albino human.
Because that's technically all I am by species." Smiling a bit,
he looked at her. "The land went through great lengths to
protect you, Lilian.. Because you are this land's child. Well,
the part of you that is Mage anyways. I'll protect you either
way.. I did say I wanted to know more about you, didn't I?"

Listening to his whole story did make her feel slightly
confused. She had never known so much about it to begin with,
but then again, she didn't always want to know either. She knew
she could use harmful magic. She's done so before and never
again anymore. No, healing was more her thing. Looking at Iayzu,
she smiled faintly and nodded. She still didn't get much of the
entire story, and it surely was confusing with all the mixes. It
did make sense, however, why she felt the push and the pull.
Shrugging lightly, she yawned lightly once again. Her mind
wasn't even fully processing things. "I just.. like to see
everyone as human b-beings. T-that way, I d-don't feel hi-higher
than others." She whispered and leaned a bit against him,
closing her eyes once more as he leaned back against the
pillows. "There's just not much, to know about me. Except for
that stupid past.. there isn't much m-more that h-has changed."
She whispered quietly. She gripped at the blanket a bit tighter
and sighed once more. "Lucas.. H-he wanted to have my p-powers..
that c-child.. so h-h-he could kill it later.. to ab-absorb the
powers.." She spoke in a choked whisper. She wasn't sure if
Lucas was dead now, but still, she had a feeling he would haunt
her either way. "A-also.. I haven't seen many o-other Mages or
Trenveys.." She spoke and curled up a bit, cradling a bit
tighter against him.

She looked so terrified, it caused pain to strike his
heart and the land started to become a worried child again. His
arm wrapped around her and he pulled her close against his
chest. "He sounds like an Ozali.. Ozali's are humans that have
surpassed their limit of jiknap they were born with. There are
three ways to get jiknap.. Be born with it, being offered it and
taking it, or stealing it. Ozali's are the ones who steal the
jiknap. Though most of the time, Ozali's heads literally burst
when they have too much jiknap. There are a few that still
live.. And only one that I've known of to revert and keep his
kind wits about him. That would be the Ozali of flame.. You know
him, actually.. His name is Kokurouti. Koku for short. He was
possessed by the want to protect his daughter thus he sunk to
the level of an Ozali and started to kill other Ozali and
Trenvays. That came to a stop when he nearly harmed his daughter
and scared her. Now he's simply an Ozali of Flame. Being
naturally born a flame Trenvay."
Shrugging a bit, he looked out of the window as he held her.
"Lucas, if he is an Ozali, will notice the shift of the land and
take note of it.. If he's just another mage.. Then he'll most
likely not even notice that the land has a guardian, nor will he
notice the sea has one as well. Either way, You have the land,
the sea, the fire Ozali, and myself protecting you.." He paused
and smiled, looking at her. "The reason you've never seen any
other Trenvay around is because all of them are Roses. They like
to cause mischief for humans, remember? What better way than to
tease and taunt them with desires? Though they all have other
reasons as well.. The Roses are a large band of Trenvays, One
Ozali, and two Mages.. And all of them are on your side as well,
willing to protect you." Leaning down, he planted a light kiss
on the top of her head, sighing as he just stayed there while he
held her.
"Koku doesn't want you in the line of work we do.. I think I
know why he pressed it so hard earlier.. He knew at some point
that you'd figure out every rose wasn't just a human and then...
Maybe you'd feel like you should be doing the same thing or
something.. I don't want you to ever sink into our work.. You're
a mage, you're higher than a Trenvay, you have more respect for
yourself. Remember that and never, ever, try to do anything we
do. Else Koku will have my hide and well." He paused and looked
at her with a goofy grin and chuckle. "Knowing him, he'd
probably just put you in time out for an hour. Such a weak
hearted guy against shy women.. Hell you could just pout and
he'd probably melt into a puddle of submitting goop." Gently
hugging her, he smiled and looked up at the ceiling. "Thing is..
You are higher than most.. Even if you don't want to think it,
you are.. And you gotta remember.. As a mage, you do have your
limitations on your jiknap.. So please be wary and don't worry
of healing me, I can heal pretty fast on my own and I don't want
you to waste your energy."

The stories didn't really make much sense to her, but she was
glad she knew the reasons now and that she would be protected.
She really didn't want to go through hell again. The story about
Koku was interesting too. Though, it was strange that desires
could turn people in 'monsters'. It was a shame really. The good
thing was that Koku realized what he was doing, and it made her
smile a bit more. The Ozali's started to creep her out a bit
more. So power hungry. It was ridiculous. Yet surprising that
she was still alive. If Lucas was really an Ozali, why had he
been with her so long without harming her? She didn't really get
it, but that was okay. Something to be glad about, that she was
still alive. Looking over at Iayzu, she tilted her head lightly
and smiled a bit. Though, her smile slowly changed to a bit of
an uncomfortable look. "I'm a bit hungry though..." She
whispered in a soft, sweet voice. And with that, she meant
really hungry. That's when she remembered her cat. "Oh no! My
poor mister Jingles is still at my home. My cat's still
there..." She said sadly, looking at him with a slight saddened
expression. "He must be hungry too. I need to get to him.." She
said slowly and got out of bed. She winced lightly, but ignored
the pain further.
Though, as she stood now, she felt an awkward pain on her back.
Something she had missed due to the numbing agents. She slowly
touched her back and it did feel quite wet, but a warm wet
sensation. She moved her hand back and noticed the red color
staining her hands. Frowning lightly, she looked back at Iayzu,
quickly skipping to the bathroom and instantly locking it. Her
heartbeat went like crazy, and she stared into the mirror. Her
skin started to look paler as her back started to burn more and
more. She quickly pulled the nightgown off, turning to look in
the mirror with her back showing. The rising dragon, that was
even painted orange, seemed to be glowing like fire. The lines
of the burnmark was bleeding, the blood leaking down slowly.
"Please stop.." She whispered to herself, knowing this had
happened before. She just never could lay a connection as why it
happened randomly. As her own green glow moved over her back,
she started to feel drained, as if something, or the dragon was
taking her energy. The pain got through the numbing, which made
her scream in absolute agony. She cried out in pain, her hands
on her hair, as if she was going crazy from the pain at the same
time. The energy indeed got drained, her healing powers being
abused to heal all the members of the Orange Dragon Gang, who
had been hurt earlier by the land. She realized that now as
well, that each time they got hurt, she felt this agonizing
pain.

When she expressed such worry over her cat, he quirked a
brow and chuckled a bit. "I'll have Eva go and pick your cat up
in an unmarked car." It was when she was suddenly started and he
saw the blood, his eyes widened. Jolting up as soon as she
rushed to the bathroom, his hands pressed against the door. The
land started to quiver and shake with a fear unknown to Iayzu, a
growl lunging from his lips. "Lilian!" He said, he could feel
it, he knew what was going on. Quickly, he shifted around his
dresser for a silver flask. Once he found it, he snatched up the
key to the bathroom and unlocked the door, barging in. Uncaring
of if she was half dressed or not, he knelt down and gently
pressed his hands to her back. If there was one thing he could
do, it was stop the effects of an Ozali. Only because he had to
do the same when it came to Koku. A Word rose to the back of his
tongue, this word being like a spell but much more absolute and
backed up by a lot of jiknap.
When he Spoke this word, a scripture began to wind through his
fingertips and spread across her flesh. It was in a tongue that
couldn't be deciphered by any other than a Trenvay or Ozali.
This word stifled the effects and started to pull an opposite
effect. Thus, injuring the people who were pulling her energy
that much more. Stopping the drain, he quickly opened the flask
and handed it to her. "Drink this, right now. It's hair of the
dog." It was a lie, he wouldn't tell her it was Jiknap he stored
and drew from himself. Well, it wasn't a lie entirely, just a
different name for it. Hair of the dog was an especially sweet
whiskey that was infused with Jiknap. But, she had to accept it
in order to drink it. "Lilian! Please! This will help.." He was
practically begging, the scripture winding around her back and
completely ceasing the drain. Shaking his head, he quickly
pulled together another Word. A mark, he knew Ozali's used marks
on their victims to pull their energy when ever they pleased.
Though what Ozali's didn't know, is that even normal Trenvays
could release this mark, if they knew the right Word. Though
because it was such a draining Word, not many ever dared to do
this and they knew it would either push their demise, or cause
an effect that would slash them up all to hell. Yet he was ready
to undergo anything to keep her safe. He Spoke and the
scriptures changed, becoming a light blue with a some how silken
touch, absorbing the dragon marking into the lettering. She'd
feel a slight pull upon her flesh, an even deeper pressure, but
nothing that would cause severe pain. Splits, he could feel
them. The jiknap slicing through his flesh to form the
scriptures that removed the mark, but he didn't even flinch,
simply concentrating on the scriptures and keeping them in place
until the mark was completely gone. Frowning, he looked to the
side, uncaring that he had a deep gash on his cheek, above his
eyebrow, all up his arms and over his chest.
"That fucking bastard.." Reaching up, he grabbed his cell phone
from the sink and flipped it open, calling Eza first.
Iayzuuuuuu! Came the excited voice, overwhelmed with joy that
she had even gotten a call. "Eza. I need you to go to Lilian's
address and pick up her cat and some cat food. Take the unmarked
car. Hurry up, the cat's probably hungry as hell right now." He
spoke briskly. A kitty!? Okay! I'll be there asap! With that,
she hung up. He then dialed up Koku who answered on the first
ring. Hey. A pause,"Koku. That bastards an Ozali. He marked
Lilian but I---" Before he could even finish, there was a
yelling on the other line that made him hold the phone away from
his ear. You bumbling idiot!!! Don't tell me! Well it's apparent
you're still alive but how bad?! Koku was just as dandy as
usual. He sighed and shook his head, putting the phone back up
to his ear. "Not bad, I'm fine. Listen, we're going to take care
of this tomorrow. For good. Eza, Tomoi, you, and I. We're going
to eradicate this bastard before he can fuck up anyone else's
life."
There was a long pause before Koku answered. Did you give her
hair of the dog yet? If so, make sure she drinks at least a good
full flask. I'll get everything ready for tomorrow. You just
take care of her right now. I know how fucked up those marks can
be. He hung up and Iayzu sighed a bit, looking at Lilian with a
soft smile. "Don't worry.. We're going to take care of this..
I'm going to get you a new nightgown and then get myself cleaned
up.." Pausing, he looked to the flask. "Drink a bit of that and
you'll feel a lot better. It never gets empty, so drink what you
feel is a full flask." Standing up, he held back a wince before
he trailed off into the room. Getting a simple black gown out of
the bag, he brought it into the bathroom with a gentle smile.
"Eza will be here soon with your cat.."

How much she wanted to, she couldn't stop screaming. The pain
was driving her insane, tears streaming down her face. Her
entire mind was filling with a dark blue color, taking much more
than they ever had before. How much healing did they need? Her
body started collapsing, her skin growing even paler now. Dark
rings formed underneath her eyes rapidly as she fell to her
knees. The grip of her hands tightened in her hair, her
heartbeat going faster to keep up with the changes. That's when
she heard her name in a distance. She could barely even hear it
through her own screaming. When Iayzu barged in, she flinched
badly, bending forwards to lean her head against the floor. When
she felt that touch on her back, she moved out of the way. It
burned even worse by the touch, making her sob more. She pressed
herself in the corner as tight as possible, her mind just being
driven to insanity from the pain. She couldn't comprehend
anymore that Iayzu was there to help. Her mind was clouded, just
seeing a blue color. She just reacted to touches and sounds,
which made her confused and just looked at the ground. Her hands
slowly lowered from her head to her knees, her screams dying out
slowly. Something was relieving the pain, but she didn't know
what. Nor had she any idea what Iayzu had said. Was it
important? She just couldn't recall what he said, or even
understand it.
The draining went too rapidly for healing more than one person
and she stared at Iayzu now as he offered the flask. Her hands
took the flask, shivering a bit. At least the ear deafening
screams had stopped. Listening to his explanation, she couldn't
even think what it was. She just stared at the flask, as if no
information went through her mind at all. Looking back up at
Iayzu, she just looked like a porcelain doll, so white and
fragile looking. Her blue to white long hair even made it look
whiter. Her eyes focused back on the flask and heard her name
being said again. A word 'please' afterwards. What was she
supposed to do? She moved the flask lightly, hearing liquid in
it. Was she supposed to drink this? Her heartbeat was going
crazy, and all she was really focusing on now was the dark blue
color in her mind. She had no idea what was going on anymore,
until she felt a slight pull at her back. Flinching lightly, she
just kept staring at the flask now. Her arms dropped as she held
the flask in her hands and just seemed to stare at the tiles
now. It was as if her body slowly went into shock. She could
still hear Iayzu talking to Koku and Eza on the phone. He was
hurt. So much was apparent and what she could see. Though, that
was all she could. See it. Her body slowly went into a state of
shock, her hands dropping the flask as it just rested in her
lap, having no grip on it anymore. As he got up and got her
nightgown, she just kept looking at the ground, no processes
going through her mind. All her energy was gone, her heart
hurting quite a bit. "Jingles..." She whispered.

When he got back, he freaked out a bit at seeing her in
such a state. Picking up the flask, he leaned himself back
enough so that her head would lean back against his shoulder.
She was so unresponsive it was scaring the hell out of him.
Knowing that half of what that bastard took was healing and the
other half he had reversed to cause more and more damage to
internal organs and cause death quicker but in an even more
painful way than could ever be imagined. Gently slipping his
thumb and middle finger to the corner of her lips to open her
mouth, he poured some of the sweet 'whiskey' into her lips and
did it so slowly to make sure that she wouldn't cough and choke.
"You'll start to feel better in a few seconds." He whispered,
how could he have let them get to her so much? Damnit! He wanted
to throw something, break something, no.. Someone. He wanted to
destroy that despicable fucker.
Continuing to make her drink, he made sure she drank at least a
good flask full before he set the flask aside and gently held
her against him. She'd need to get cleaned up yet again because
of his poor decisions of holding her against him even though he
was bleeding all over the place. Soon enough, she'd start to
feel every bit of lost energy and then some return to her. The
feeling of rushing warmth and tingling from the alcohol in the
drink. Though even as he paled, the Land started to push up
against his mind to keep him awake. Shaking it off, he leveled
out his breathing and picked her up. Laying her onto the bed, he
kept his expression soft to keep her from noticing any pain he
was going through. He didn't want her to know that it hurt. He
didn't want her to see him in pain. He didn't want her to see
him weak. Grabbing a washcloth, he got it wet with hot water and
went back to her.
Knowing it had cooled off, he gently sat her up and cleaned the
blood off her flesh before laying her back down and pulling the
covers over her since he hadn't had the time to put her gown on
her. Hearing the voice come over the intercom, he let a small
smile envelope his lips. "That's Eza with your cat.." He
muttered, going out of the room and to the front door. Though
the moment he answered it, Eza's eyes grew wide and she started
to freak out even worse than he had. "IAYZU! What the fuck
happened to you!?" He shook his head and pulled her inside,
holding his hand firmly over her mouth. "Shut up, Eza.. I don't
want Lilian to get upset.." He panted out, frowning a bit until
she nodded. The cat securely in her arms with a large bag in one
of her hands. Releasing her, he sighed and pointed towards his
room. "Please go put Mister Jingles on the bed with her and put
some food and water out for him."
Paling even further than his usual stark white flesh, Eza
silently nodded and worrifully did what she was told. Even if
she wanted to help him, she knew he'd never accept help. Not
unless he was caught off guard or sleeping. Going up to the
room, she smiled at Lilian. Blond hair, cut short on the right
side to her ear and long past her shoulder on the left side.
Wearing make up and a tight blue dress, she was the image any
woman would want. Setting the cat down on the bed, she went back
down stairs and got him some food and water before returning.
"Here you go, Mister Jingles." Looking to Lilian, she sat down
on the side of the bed and gave a saddened smile. "Hey... I
didn't get a chance to meet you, but I'm Eza.. I'm sorry I can't
stay for long.. But here.." She pulled a small cell phone from
her bra and set it beside her. "All of the Roses numbers are
programmed into it.. It's a present from all of us.. If you need
anyone, you simply call or text.. Don't use your own phone, it
might be tapped.. So just use that one and you can call who ever
you like as long as it's a safe line."
Standing up when Iayzu returned into the room, Eza looked at him
with a concerned gaze as he leaned against the door and breathed
shallowly. "I-Iay-Iayzu?" She mumbled, looking at him with tear
filled eyes before he suddenly collapsed. Rushing over to him,
she frowned and hands rolled him over. Pressing her ear against
his chest over his heart, she checked everything before she held
her hands against his chest. A soft golden light washed over his
wounds. She knew she couldn't heal them all the way, but she
could restore the lost blood and close the wounds partially.
Once she did that, she grabbed his wrists and hoisted him up
with a bit of trouble, dragging him to the bed and pushing him
onto it. Frowning, she soon dressed his wounds and then started
to clean up the blood. Her mind was so distracted that she
didn't know what else to do but clean it all up right now.
Knowing that it would be of help, that's all she cared about.
"Roses help other Roses and friends who they care about." She
whispered once she was done, smiling a little bit before she
looked to Lilian. "He'll wake up in a few minutes.. When he
does, just tell him that I already left and all I did was
dressed his wounds. It'll be our little secret about the healing
part." She said, pressing her index finger against her lips
before she darted out the door and left. Just as she said, Iayzu
started to wake up, groaning a bit. He winced as he sat up and
he looked over at Lilian with a concerned gaze. "Are you okay
now?" He asked, his voice slightly raspy.

At first, the liquid just seeped out of the corners of her
mouth, her eyes slowly slipping shut. Her entire body grew
colder as the tired feeling washed over her entire body. She
just laid against him like dead weight. She did manage to
swallow a bit of it. Apparently, she was able to get enough of
it and then being held against Iayzu. Still, there were no
thought processes at all as she just sat on the bed, letting him
clean her again with a washcloth. She opened her eyes again, no
expression showing at all. It wasn't just the energy that they
took. It was blocking her entire mind. That was what she needed
her cat for. It was as if she was under some mind control, yet
nothing happened. They couldn't reach her completely this time
so the connection was broken off. Now that the dragon was gone
as well, she was just left in a haze state. Though the moment he
laid her down and covered her up, she went back to sit up again.
Her eyes went to the door as he heard a loud screaming. She got
up and went to the bathroom, putting the nightgown on. Somehow,
a few sentences did slip in her mind from the other group.
Feeling that guilt started to be used against her. It would be
better to kill them instead so there would be no worries. Her
eyes were glowing a deep dark blue, instead of the usual light
blue.
As she had her nightgown on now, she walked back to the bedroom
as she heard Eza. Watching the woman in that dress, she just
tilted her head. Her hands were glowing a dark green though,
enough energy in it to severely hurt someone. She kept staring
at Eza as she walked closer. The moment she heard Mister Jingles
mouw, she blinked a few times. Hearing her cat mouw again and
jumping out of Eza's arms, Lilian looked down. The deep dark
green glow in her hands disappeared as she picked up her cat.
Her eyes slowly turned back to the light blue color, holding her
cat real close. "Thank you." She said, although her voice was
cold. She sat down on the bed, just staring at her cat. As she
heard Eza again yelling Iayzu's name, she cringed and curled up
on the bed. This was her fault. All her fault. The words kept
repeating in her mind. This wasn't right anymore. As Eza left
after healing him up, she remembered she said he'd wake up in a
few minutes. She went to sit on the ground, petting Mister
Jingles lightly. Tears just kept going down her eyes, over her
cheeks, saying nothing. As he woke up, she didn't even dare to
look or say anything. She just nodded lightly, although she knew
she had a dangerously high fever from the stress and slight
damaged organs. She just kept crying silently, the tears hitting
Mister Jingles, as she petted the wetness of the tears off
again.

There was one way.. He shook his head a bit and sat up,
wincing slightly before he wrapped his arms around her. Pulling
her against his bandaged chest, he sighed. "Hey.. What did I
tell you? You can't be upset.. I only like to see your smile.."
He muttered, looking her over for a moment before he slowly got
up and made his way into the bathroom. Picking up the flask, he
brought it back into the bedroom and took a few swigs. It was
that over load of jiknap that he needed to get rid of
immediately. Only having done it so he could speak the Word he
needed to. Once that Word was spoken, the scriptures left the
walls and slipped onto the bed, wrapping and lightly laying on
her flesh like a feather. He didn't say anything for the moment
as that word was extremely hard for him, but the land leaped to
his aid. The land pushing the word and making it stable, healing
her from head to toe. He wasn't any good at healing, but the
land aided him and he used a Word, so it made it easier on him.
It also made it easier to take away her fever and wounds,
internally or not.
Sustaining minor bruising on his neck, shoulder, and rib; he
didn't even notice the dark blotches as he looked at her with a
smile. Settling the flask in her lap beside the cat, he leaned
forward and planted a light kiss on the top of her head. "Don't
cry.. I don't want to see those tears of your's unless they're
from laughing so hard that they just show up.. I want to see
your smile, Lilian.. I want to hear you laugh.." He whispered,
resting his head on her shoulder. Those familiar ocean colored
tears pooled in red orbs. "Please.. I want to fight for your
smile, not for your tears.. I want to fight for you, not for
your wounds.. Don't be upset because I get hurt.. There's no
reason.. I'm a big guy, and I'm also filth.. Don't you know
that? I'm worse than dirt.. So please.. Please don't cry.."

She couldn't help it but let the tears go down her cheeks, even
as he put his arms around her. She sniffed lightly, rubbing her
eyes lightly. "But... you get hurt s-so many t-t-times because
of m-me in j-just two d-d-days. I.. I just bring p-pain w-with
m-m-me.." She stuttered badly, barely even able to speak through
the tears. She was glad her body felt better after he used the
healing. Hearing him speak and seeing him cry as well just made
her heart ache more. She never meant to pull someone into all
this. She wanted to smile and laugh for him, she just couldn't
get that up right now. She stroke Mister Jingles' fur lightly as
a distraction, the tears still going down as she moved her other
hand over his chest. She couldn't even pull her energy out right
now, as if it was on a block. No matter how much she wanted to
heal him, her body didn't allow it. Sniffing still, she rested
her head against his chest, shaking a bit from the crying.
"I-I'm s-s-soo sorry..." She mumbled, not caring if he said he
was filth. In her eyes, he surely wasn't. She closed her eyes,
her body leaning against him a bit more. "P-please... Y-You
shouldn't g-g-get hurt s-so much be-because of m-me." She
whispered through her tears, her voice rather soft and quiet,
the shyness still there.
