What Sereth seemed to witness was unbelievable to him. As he had
expected she would do her best to return them to themselves, and
save them from such wretched fate. In a more fair world it might
have worked just as she planned. Here however the damage was
done. As her light seemed to pass over each one of them, she
would be forced to realize that the creatures and the bodies
could not be saved. The human body seemed to melt away instantly
to dust and sand. Though what truly amazed him was the golden
chain that held them there snapped with a loud crack. That
tortured soul she had tried so hard to return mind body and
soul; had indeed been set free. The distorted wrecked face of
the creature disappeared in that instant returning to the face
of the once loved human as it drifted off to whatever plane of
godly bliss awaited them.
Sereth stood in shock and Seraluna spoke to him. "you have a
special one here Sereth." he couldn't help but smile; he had
already realized this, but what he had just seen; had never been
done before. He turned to her as she spoke to him about her care
and understanding of the people. He wasn't exactly sure how he
would attempt a response in that moment but he tried. "You did
better than I ever could have for them. " He turned slightly
from her as the light seemed to finally fade and the last of the
souls drifted of to " heaven" then returned his gaze to her.
"The souls of those tempted by the nine can not be returned
Makita. Never can they ever be returned A deal with a Demon God
is like signing yourself into an army. a permanent army where
you become just a pawn int heir games. I know this best because
I can do the same...What you did however is truly better than
any massacre I could have caused, you saved their soul and sent
it to a better place. Im sure you seen the way those souls
smiled and waved at you as they departed. Unfortunately there is
nothing we can do for them in this plane, but you my dear are
truly amazing. Sereth cast her a smile but still he couldn't
shake off the realization they had already started. The second
Great Flood... was soon to be upon them. "we have a long travel
ahead of us you ready dear?" he clasped his hand with hers in
that moment and looked off towards the trail he had come into
this town on. It was time to begin a long journey home.
+ Bit of a Compromise hope you don't mind. +

There were always issues with everything. She was simply
happy that things worked out as well as they did. Listening to
him speak, she didn't say anything for a while, simply holding
his hand as she got herself to her feet and looked ahead. "He
has absolutely no right doing such a thing.. I'm going to smack
him so hard his face throbs for months!" She muttered, huffing
her cheeks out in disapproval before she looked to him with a
determination rivaled by none. "I'm going to give those fate
makers and that moron a good swift kick in the ass for all of
this. They don't know the can of worms they just opened and
they'll wish they never went near it!" She scrunched her nose
and let out a deep sigh. That was, until she was shocked back to
her own soft and gentle nature by the sudden arrival of someone.
In that flash of an electrical storm congregated into a single
column.
Throwing her arm up over her eyes, she knew what was about to
happen and instantly shielded Sereth's as well. Letting a
disgruntled sound of annoyance slip her lips, she was instantly
scolded by an angelic voice that seemed to echo everywhere but
no where at once. "Now don't you start getting all huffy with
me, missy!" Rolling her eyes slightly, she waited for the light
to subside to show a woman that looked nearly identical to
herself wrapped in a silken blue dress that looked of old greek
design. With hands upon her hips, a single braid of white locks
fell over her shoulder loosely as she wore no shoes and had
striking golden orbs. She was aged more so than Makita but not
to the point of looking elderly at all. Makita sighed lightly
and straightened up, looking to the side as a red line streaked
across her face. "Hello.. Mother." She muttered quietly, earning
a flick to the nose.
"Speak up, Makita. You know there's no point in being
embarrassed by me." The woman then turned her vision to Sereth
and seemed to analyze him greatly for just a few moments."I am
Erato. Obviously, Makita's mother." A pause, a glance to the
embarrassed girl as she clung to his arm with a light grumble of
dissatisfaction. "This is certainly not the way I'd like to
visit my daughter nor the mate of her's. Either way, I've only
come to tell you a few things that she most likely would keep to
herself so she wouldn't trouble you. Firstly, she needs to eat.
Twice a day for a week then once a day for a week then simply
once every few days. As you can see, she's already strained from
doing that little task alone. If she had eaten before she
would've been able to do more. Another thing, fate makers
change.. They don't last for forever. They become corrupt and
then they are dealt with by a few people to say the least.
Everyone has golden threads.. Even the likes of me and Makita.
Snap them."
Erato had a strong stance and a proud elegance that screamed who
and what she was. Though that did not keep Makita from
scrunching her nose and narrowing her eyes at her mother. "You
just had to tell him how much I have to eat? Do you realize that
in this day in age I cannot manage such things? People generally
don't offer up what sustains their life y'know.." It was odd, to
see the two give each other glares of magnitudes no one would
want to step in between. "I'm well aware.. Makita.. You know you
have the ability to swoon people into such decisions. I also
know you're extremely careful not to harm the humans and
creatures. Do what you need to do else you'll end up dead and a
mother never wants to lose her child. Nor does a man want to
lose their lover either. Tread carefully you two. There's a
collision to come and I do not want either of you ending up
dead. So take note of this."
Sternly, she stared down the both of them, hands clutched
tightly at her waist. "If I see either of you in my home without
Makita or myself bringing either of you there.. I promise to
make you both suffer eternally." With that said, she smiled
sweetly before giving a light wave and vanishing all together.
Groaning a bit, Makita firmly placed her right hand on her face
and let out an annoyed sigh. Her face red as could be, she
muttered under her breath and kept to herself for a moment.
"Shall we go now?" She said quietly, looking to the
side.

Even knowing she was truly a force to be reckoned with he
couldn't help but find her angry face adorable. She was truly
angered by the way these peoples bodies had been so wasted as
this. Sereth also didn't agree with it but she should definitely
feel proud of the accomplishment she had done here for the souls
by sending them onto a better place indeed. he looked upon her
though and merely nodded for now. " Oh I know dear I don't plan
on taking it easy on them even if they are Family." he reassured
her had was also irritated by the recent predicament.
Just then the air caught his hair suddenly making the black
strands toss upon the wind and he couldn't turn fast enough.
though he was far too late by the time she had covered his eyes
as if hiding his vision from something. he did his best to
cooperate though the sudden exchange was much less than
reassuring for him. Then he heard a gentle yet powerful voice
however, one that somewhat resembled his loves but much more
mature even. Finally his eyes slipped under her protection and
he saw a shining orb of light but what came from it he was
surprised over which shocked him really. A young woman who
seemed to be dressed very formally stepped before them and began
to taunt upon Makita. Sereth put two and two together almost in
the same moment she announced herself as Makita's mother.
The conversation was oddly amusing; at least for him anyways.
very much like a real mother scolding her child to eat healthy
and live strong and all those wonderful motherly things. Though
for him seeing her usually as the wise one it was hard for
Sereth to directly place his feelings. His eyes merely remained
raised slightly and that amused smile stayed upon his face as he
listened to every word. Though one thing people usually worried
about had not become a problem Makita claimed Sereth just as
proudly, no possibly even more so than she always had in her
mothers
The directions were very strict but he understood slightly
aggravated that she had kept it to this level of a secret until
this point. He wasn't going to force her but there might be
other ways to get her to keep herself healthy he had already
developed but a few questions to ask now for when she finished
speaking. but she did like to point out painful facts to some
extent Sereth could understand; though only to some with him
being a true bastard child. that was the fate of the Original
Demon Gods they were bastards created out of divine existence. "
I understand fully Lady Erato." he said with a smile and
graceful bow as she finished up her part of this conversation. "
I have only one question for you at this point however is my
blood suitable?" he sighed and he was sure Makita was possibly
wishing to slap the total shit out of him but it was a definite
question that needed to be answered. Also will her drinking this
blood kill those that she chooses?" he had a somewhat straight
face on to show he wasn't going to back down to the nonchalant
proposal he'd suggested.
After these questions could be answer he would lead her on the
way and they would truly depart toward his home. He was already
planning the spell he needed to get them their transportation
but this came first.

Sighing just lightly, she was glad her mother was gone.
Or so she thought. The moment Sereth asked that question, she
knew there was no doubt her mother would come back to answer it
immediately. With orbs wide and her fingers tightly clutching
his arm. "Sereth what the hell are you thinking?!" She muttered,
trying not to seem upset. Though she couldn't hide the fact that
she was terribly startled. It only took seconds for her mother
too appear back into existence with her lips turned into a
victorious grin. Oh Makita knew that smile all too well. "Oh I
see then.. Hmm.. Well, it wouldn't be any issue. Then again, I
placed her on the realm of existence with humans for a reason..
She was originally suppose to be more so like a siren.. One that
would control the human population by the food chain. Though
we've already settled this predicament, so it doesn't matter who
she feeds on or how much. If she were to feed off of you, she
wouldn't have to eat as much.."
Giving up, Makita just sat down where she stood with her legs
crossed and her elbow propping her face up. "I knew a parental
meet was in order at some point, but I didn't imagine it'd be
this soon and about this." She said with a distasteful sigh,
looking to the side. "I feel like a child, mother. You mustn't
treat me in such a manner. I'm aware you're looking out for my
well being but I'm much older than you treat me. You act as
though I'm some rebellious teenager. I'm thousands of years
old.." She noted, though her mother simply smiled and tilted her
head. "Oh I'm well aware, Makita.. But with the hardships you
two are going to face, I'm well aware that you would have
hesitated to even eat off a human, even if there was a higher
chance of their survival. Considering you don't just feast off
blood.. I suppose a warning is in order for, Sereth." Turning
stern orbs to the male, she stepped a bit closer to him and
sighed.
"Not only is there blood but there is souls.. Not only is there
souls but there is energy. Makita is one that feeds off all
three. That is why she refused to eat up till this point,
because humans cannot tolerate such abuse to their souls very
long. She fears she would not be able to sustain control for the
first few times.. Another thing... When she feeds off of
non-humans.. A reaction, much like an allergic reaction, will
occur to the victim of this feeding. They will have to endure
what she endures until her canines are removed from flesh.
Simplified, you'll be going through the hell she lives through
daily for those short few moments, they will feel like hours.. I
understand why she does not want to do this to anyone, but there
is always consequence, else there would be no balance. Take note
of all of this, Sereth.. I'm going on my way now. Goodbye,
Makita, Sereth. Take care you two." Once more, she was gone and
Makita was left sitting there with a look of sorrow on her face.
For a moment she even seemed like a child compared to her
mother's proud stance and elegant way of carrying herself. Yet
that didn't bother her one bit, she was after all, a child
compared to her mother. She was younger than her mother by quite
a lot. In a way, they could be seen as she was in her twenties
and her mother was in her forties. Letting out a deep breath,
she looked to the sky once more but said nothing for the moment,
simply looking to catch her mind in the wind. Soon enough, she
stood but shoved her hands into the pockets of her slacks,
looking to the side. "Now do you understand why I refused to do
a thing that I was suppose to do from the beginning? I wasn't
intentionally made to be music, it was pretty much designed to
be a predator's tool. Music draws humans in and together.. Much
like an animal with patterns to mix them into nature, my natural
shroud is my entity outshell." Sighing, she raised her hand to
the back of her neck and simply looked at him with a frail
smile. "Just ignore it.. Okay? I'll be fine either
way.."

That was enough for him. he listened as she returned to explain
the situation. though she seemed almost pleasantly surprised by
the obvious proposal. Actually she seemed very excited as if she
had won him over. what this woman didn't realize however was she
had won no victory this day. " I see so she was meant to feed
from these humans. Well in truth we are already breaking all the
rules I see no harm in breaking another or even ten more. By the
laws bound in fate the road we have brought upon ourselves only
by loving each other is one that leads to ultimate destruction."
he casts the wise woman a wonderful smile; showing the
confidence and elegance that only he as a man could maintain
despite his origin.
he continued however not taking time to think too much upon
anything else as he explained himself. "A secret of my kind is
that we are truly immortals upon the earth. We can not die by
any means not eternally anyways the comatose we might be put
into may last a week long while on earth in that time one can
slash, stab, butcher us as much as they desire and we will not
be killed. even myself follows this the only time we may be
eternally killed is in the safety of our own realms the only
place where we are mortal." He sighed finishing up the story as
he looked to Makita and despite the obvious disagreement she
might have in this he said it.
"For my love to find comfort in those atrocious things I would
see it that it would have to be all her choice. I shall not
force her to do anything that she is against for it is not my
way. However in times when she shall feed and accept the truth
of the mysterious beauty she really is in physical intent I will
be there and my Blood, life, energy, and soul is hers to hold in
whatever way she pleases. I have no fear of pain and if I could
find myself to understand her more; be it of pain I will do so
for as I see it a separate destiny all together where we shall
love each other eternally." He cast her a gentle smile and
surely the woman would disappear saying her leaves; though it
wasn't said for her it was more so for Makita to understand how
he felt about all of this.
The Mother disappeared and they were left to merely stand there
with the tiny bits of carnival music playing and a solemn back
ground. Desolate filled with nothing but the linger shadow of
death. She finally took time to speak with him; to question him
if he understood now. " i understand perfectly and in time I
hope you can understand that for us to survive in whats to come
we will both be forced to give on similar consequences of
compromise." he sighed thinking of the shadow like past that he
had lived during what the christian bible called the first great
flood. " I would hope you can let yourself give into me and
sustain yourself from me, and in turn I will be forced to take
the form that i truly am to combat the dangers that lie ahead of
us my love." he took a seat next to her and rubbed her back
trying to give her that reassuring smile as they sat there in
this solemn scene.
It was only a few seconds after that that the forms he had been
focusing upon appeared. The sky seemed to glimmer in one part of
a large funnel cloud. an eerie violet light seemed to shimmer
and then out of it two black steeds rode a large chariot like
carriage to meet them. the steeds had odd spines sticking from
them and horns upon their head. the mane was made of violet fire
and their hooves had devils wings on either side. The carriage
was dark and upon the dark purple banner was a large nine in
pure silver. Sereth pulled up his sleeve to examine the brand of
a nine on his right fore arm and touched it as the Horses
stopped.
It wasn't long that Sereth was playing the gentleman's role and
bowing as he spoke. " your carriage awaits milady." he smiled at
her as he waited and held the door open for her. He was trying
to reclaim a good atmosphere for now by smiling and making silly
gestures. also this would be good to get them back home to the
safety of the true magic barriers he had placed around the
Manor. he knew however he would have need to meet with the
others in his realm very soon. He did not look forward to that
at all. So as they readied themselves and Sereth took his seat
next to her clasping his hand in hers the horses took off into
the sky and the journey to the Manor had finally begun.

Makita was not angry, she wasn't really upset either.
Though no words slipped her lips as she silently went along with
the gestures given. Sitting next to him but never saying a word.
Such a silence lingering upon the entity that was shrouded in
music, it was eerily horrifying and simple all at the same time.
When music was silent, there was no telling what could happen.
Keeping her eyes cast downwards, she did not falter nor hesitate
as she sat there. Seeming as though she wasn't even there at
all. As though she was else where for the moment. It didn't take
her but a moment to come back as she looked to the side once
more, orbs tracing beside her leg as she felt the warmth of his
hand upon her's. "Don't toy with me, Sereth.. You say it is my
choice but I have none. Do not think it is so simple." Clenched
teeth, she paused for a minute, collecting her thoughts. "You
say you understand, but that isn't the case at all.. If you
understood.. Then you wouldn't want any single part of what I do
internally."
Letting out a deep breath, she glanced at him out of the corner
of her eyes. "You speak as though I have a choice, but in all
actuality, I don't. If I had a choice, then you wouldn't have
even known what it is I truly eat. Nor would you have even the
faintest idea of the daily troubles. When you said, I understand
perfectly and in time, I hope you can understand that for us to
survive in what's to come we will both be forced to give on
similar consequences of compromise. You basically said it
yourself, I have no choice. There is nothing I can do about it.
Yet what you don't get.. Is it's a lose/lose situation... I eat
to protect you, but when I eat I'll hurt you. You'll be forced
to come into my world of hell and it's not something I ever want
to put you through.." Those words came out like a broken
symphony. Her sorrow laced orbs hidden beneath thick lashes as
she didn't dare look at him for the time being. "There are
things that work through out this world, Sereth.. Things that
even you might not be aware of.. My mother is one of those
things, as I am as well."
Camiath.
That name rang through her mind like a bullet but instead of
recoiling as she had before in the cacophony of sounds, she bit
the bullet and phalanges tightened on his hand for a moment
before releasing. "Makita.. Things will be alright.. You have my
assurance and I promise, things wont be as sorrowful as you
think. This experience might be good for him as well as for
yourself. You shoulder everything by yourself.. Maybe it's time
you let someone else understand." Those words ran through her
mind and features softened as she sighed in defeat. Even Camiath
was agreeing, hell even she was agreeing deep in her heart. Yet
she simply didn't want to hurt him, not in the slightest.
"Listen, Sereth.. I'll do as asked, but know this.. There is
more to the hell that you'll see... Much more.. The beauty that
lies in the flames of life are brilliant and brash.. They hold
secrets and wants, loves and hopes, they make that hell worth
walking through.. You wont experience that the first time, but
know it's there.."

This eerie feeling from her was not so inviting as he had hoped.
she was thinking upon something, something dire. Though when she
finally approached conversation it wasn't the tone he had
expected. Still all he did for this time was sit there and shut
his eyes and listen. his hand never moved from hers even though
she essentially underestimated and insulted him. he didn't care
Sereth knew all too well what he had said and that the truth of
the matter was for them to be together she would have need to do
such things. However that was just it there was still choice in
it choice that he would leave to her. he had thought to himself
in that time and gained his thoughts well enough to cope with
all of these realizations.
Still she grasped desperately to tell him she had no choice and
that he didn't understand. Sereth still listened to every word
and remained calm until she finally finished telling him of all
of these things. the ride was fairly smooth so they hadn't been
bounced around too often. "I realize if we are to remain happy
you have no choices in all of this as to whether you feed or
not. I still will not force you Makita. even if that would mean
you had chosen to give yourself up, to me it would be highly
unfair but I will never force you of anything all that I ask is
that you allow me to help you with it." He sighed knowing this
might not be the best answer for her but he was trying. He
wanted to approach this calm as he always had. He didn't care
about consequences of the idea of loving her or anything else so
long as they accepted each other he would deal with the rest as
it came.
Still he watched to see some change in her expression upon his
comments. "In an ideal world one might be able to live and love
as life is supposed to be. however despite the horrors we are
sure to face don't you think that the typical way of falling in
love is less than satisfying. perhaps all of the things we might
face are in turn only there to bring us even closer and prove to
us we can withstand the oncoming storm." He smiled gently at her
listening after she had seemed to somewhat space out. her tone
had changed slightly to much calmer and he wondered if she had
heard some of the things he was saying as she made her final
statement about doing as she was asked, she added a tragic
warning to it as well. Though Sereth only responded with " You
are worth it, and I shall not lose sight of the hidden beauty
that everything will posses even while drifting in the personal
hells that might await me." He assured her with a stern nod and
layed his head back again letting it all fall to silence. after
a minute he spoke once more they would soon arrive near the half
way point to their destination.
Makita. even with everything bound to happen we should enjoy
these few calm moments we might have right?" He moved closer to
her trying to comfort and hold her to him. Even if but for the
moment he had no intention of worrying on the future for now he
would only have her with him. No danger. No problems. quaint yet
beautiful solitude to surround the two.

obliged and curled into him. Though that changed when she
snuggled even closer to him and planted a light kiss to his
neck. "Listen to me, Sereth.. I understand you wont force me..
I'm glad of that, I truly am, but if I ever hurt you.. Tell me,

this moment of calamity and chaos, this little light of calmness
brought about a sense of warmth to her heart. Slowly she sat up

love you dearly, never forget that.. Even when things get
incredibly harsh on us.. In the end, we still have each other,

curving her lips as she allowed lashes to hide bright orbs.
