"Angele..." The word was a soft breath, cold as the lips that
released it; warmed, however, by the precious gravity of a
mother's love. Warm, as it traveled over Angele's skin and
reached for her ears, if only to express itself in a familiar
melody. A presence followed the breath invisibly. Filling the
Diarmaid Angel's shadow and wrapping delicately around her
flesh, Angel sat in the shade of her daughter, knowing full well
how impossible it would be for anyone but Angele to sense the
presence. For the time she lingered far away, her own body and
energy cloaked by the distance. It was only her spirit that made
the jump and now hid in the threads of Angele's very own Shade,
that which curled invisibly around her body like a protective
blanket. She knew her daughter would feel her. And because of
this, she focused as much of her warmth into the shell around
Angele possible without making her presence known to the other
beings; intent being to tell her daughter that she was, in fact,
there with her. That she would protect her if need be. And even
further, that she would be there in the flesh soon enough. For
the time she remained hidden in her daughter's shadows,
listening intently to the unfamiliar voice of a man she once
knew, and wondering all the while how things had turned out this
way. There were many questions that need be answered - answers
to questions she did not know who to ask about. But for the time
she would simply embrace Angele without allowing the others the
privilege to see or feel; waiting for them to depart, and allow
Angel time alone for the first in a long while with her precious
daughter.

The cat's tail sways hypnotically, absorbing the words spoken to
him, he lowered his feline head and a smirk replaced the blank
expression already there. "Traitor? Oh yes, but a loyal one..."
He said with a chuckle, but his words didn't come from his
mouth. "Sweet release..." He said as the feline body began to
bubble with intense heat, and in a sudden second it exploded in
vile gore, intense amounts of blood that defied that of a small
animal frame. From the explosion flew out a humanoid being,
darkness coating his entire body and his demon horn crowned his
head as his energy flowed out but in such high extremes it
belittled his old form, truly his energy reached his ultimate
goal, perpetual energy. His now sole wish, was to feel the sweet
release of death. "I return to my roots when the worlds begin to
change, Vladimire Crowe, I serve you for as long as I deem
fit..." He said telepathically to his old enemy. "But you will
find that I have a mind of my own... True chaos can take the
form of anything that unity can... A gift of which I give to the
family I betrayed long ago." He whispered, the only emotion that
betray his emotionless face was a thoughtful smirk, sadistic yet
portraying that his mind was abuzz with thoughts, and with
Urdroxa, his thoughts were the fears of many.

"But.. Angele will always have father in Vlad.."Angele whispered
out silently in response to the man who spoke to her; the man
who said he was no longer and never was her father. His words
cut her like hot knife through butter. Regardless of how or why
she ended up growing up alone and forced to survive, he was
still her father. That's one thing she learned from being in the
wild, family is key and is important. As she gazed at him and
saw that he was crying, Angele couldn't help but let out her own
tears. She simply listened to him, nodding at his words that was
directed toward her; no other words mattered to her, but the
last remaining words of her once father. She'll never forget
this moment, she's never forget how proud of her he was, and to
this respect, Angele would never let him down or the family to
revert back to ruin. She leaned into his hand as it brushed
against her cheek, nodding slowly as she took in a comprehended
his words to her. The blood was then sealed inside of a vile and
attached to a vine which the Amazonian placed around her neck.
Tears was streaming down her cheeks like a child and she
couldn't get any words out any longer. All was left was sobs as
the man's wings beat and he was off again.
She dropped to her knees and clutched at the dirt. Her wails
could be heard over the influx of power that the little cat had
created. She was splattered with blood, but didn't care; she was
wild anyway. Angele gulped back her breath, reaching out for the
last moment with her father before he was now gone; possibly
forever. This vile was the last gift she'll ever receive from
him and her most personal artifact. Save for the shirt of her
mother that she now wore. Her mother was always there for her,
no matter how little, so she knew her more than her father. But,
time with him was always special. As soon as Angele felt she was
breaking down, as soon as she felt like losing it all, as soon
as the jungle itself seemed to week along with her, Angele felt
something. She heard her mother's voice and felt her warm touch
embrace her; comfort her in her time of sadness. Her father was
dead, but her mother was a live and well, wrapping herself
around Angele like a blanket. Angele curled up into a ball and
just allowed her mother's embrace to enrapture her, though not
physical, it was still tangible Angele had never felt more at
home inside this little bubble of her mother's influence. "Mãe.
. ." Angele whispered out to the comforting envelopment. Her own
way of saying Mother..

The only sight more heart-wrenching to witness than her daughter
coated in blood, was the sight of her seemingly silent sobs and
screams as the man she could never truly call a father left her
behind. Angel could not hear; could not smell, feel, or taste
the sensations of the scene before her. All she could do for the
time was watch from her daughter's Shade, and embrace her
without knowing how it felt to hold her shaking frame. It was a
torture even the ghost of misery could not bare to withstand.
Angele seemed like such a small child, huddled in a mass of
loneliness with no hope for solace. It broke her heart.
"My love, I am here..." She murmured softly, this
time the words coming in more clearly as her stark-white image
began to shift into the space around Angele. From the darkened
pool of shadows cast behind her huddled mass bloomed a ghost of
pure ivory, which turned just as quickly into a body of flesh
and energy. Angel's arms found themselves instantly around her
daughter's body and she pulled her into a blanket of security,
lips moving to place an onslaught of kisses against the long
black hair that was so like her own. "I'm here, Angele, finally
here, and I will not let you go." As Angel spoke the words her
porcelain cheeks glimmered with a few stray tears - droplets
that found residence against her daughter's beautiful olive
skin.
Being here for the first time in so long... being able to hold
her daughter like this, it brought her an impossible amount of
happiness for what seemed to be the first time in ages. Yet the
very same happiness found her saddened and heartbroken. Why had
she waited so long to see her daughter again? Last they had
spoken, Angel promised the precious girl she would visit again
soon, and that had been a little over a year now. She was sick
to death with herself for waiting so long, for making Angele
feel alone for such a long time. And now that she was finally
here, Angel knew nothing else to do other than to pull her
daughter gently into her lap and guide her face into her neck,
white digits tracing pathways through the primitive princess'
hair. Such a long period of absence found her lost and in a
daze, but thankfully her lips found a tune both of them
undoubtedly knew well. Sitting amidst the blanket of the
forest's floor, the pale and darkened angel began to sing; her
voice weaving through the greenery and drifting like wind all
around the two huddled figures. This was the only solace she
could give to her daughter during this time, other than the
prism of her arms and the warmth of her normally cold skin.

After a short while of coaxing her daughter into a calm
composure, Angel sent the beautiful girl off in the direction of
the tree forts; ensuring she would join her soon. 'There is a
small matter of business I must tend to', become her excuse, and
as Angele disappeared into the thick forestry, she extended her
senses until she was sure her daughter was far out of hearing
distance. when she was finally far enough away she turned her
attention back to the empty area around her, calling out in a
rather empty, yet expecting voice, "Vladamire..."

Bringing himself back to what was once his home with no more
than a small drop from the sky, Vlad lands himself a short
distance from Angel trying his hardest not to allow himself to
regret his choices as he looks towards the small voice that
called upon him. "Hello Angel" he spoke voice breaking only
slightly as he bowed his head towards her his hands sliding into
his pockets to prevent him from reaching out to her. Vlad
continued to look down, struggling to maintain his composure and
to keep his eyes averted. He would not allow himself to fight
the coming change for the sake of his past, he would not allow a
slip into his old ways. "You called for me? here in what was
once my own home. Our old home. Ghosts of each others pasts now
ghosts to the world. Or worse." He smiled at the dirt at his own
joke at his ultimate fate, a walking corpse soon to be nothing
but another familiar face to everyone he once cared for. The
ultimate punishment to himself to know he is so close yet
incapable and maybe even unwilling to do anything for them.
Dead. Yet living.

She watched with the same old baby blue eyes as he
dropped from the sky, a mere ghost of the man she once knew;
already beginning to slip away. After such a long time Angel
hardly knew what to expect from the man she once loved, once
believed she would have for an eternity or longer... Seeing him
now, after having thought he was dead, crumpled her stomach in a
way words couldn't explain. And yet her face remained relatively
blank as she watched his obviously uneasy frame. Only her eyes,
the saddened blues he could not even meet now, betrayed the
amount of pain it caused her to see him again and be unable to
reach out and embrace him. 'He's not the man he used to be. Not
Vladamire. And I'm no longer his angel...' The words played
silently in her head, a background recording that served to
strengthen her composure, even as his faltered so faintly.
Exhaling a quiet breath she lifted her face, gaze shifting over
his face despite him looking away. "Last I heard you were
dead... it seems that information isn't too far off." She paused
briefly, arms lifting to wrap around her rib cage. For a brief
moment she wondered whether he might recognize the signature
movement she made that truly displayed her insecurity, but the
thought - the hope, was whisked away before she could pay it
much attention. "I heard what you said to Angele. I suppose...
we should make this our final goodbye." Those words tore at her
chest in a way she was hardly prepared for, and for a single
moment her composure faltered; mask cracking to show a splinter
of pain in the subtle curve of her lips. But just as quickly as
it appeared the expression flew away, containing itself in the
pools of her sky-blue eyes.

He winced inwardly as he felt the air shift around them saw
without looking the motions of hurt within her, as he cried out
inside his own mind to reach out for her and take her in his
arms like he had never left. How much he could truly feel scared
him, made him regret more than he had ever in his own living
life time. "Yes... I wa- Am dead. More so every minute. I am
sorry.. That I didn't keep my promise. That I went to war and
fought when that was all you ever asked me not to do. That I
finally bit of more to chew." he paused gripping at what was
once his heart through his skin. "But more. I am sorry I left.
Sorry I abandoned you and Angele, and sorry that I have to do it
again after all this time... That I cant stay. With you and
her." He looked up finally taking in all that he once loved in a
single heart breaking gaze. Vlad took a step closer pinching his
lip to tearing with his teeth behind the mask. "I... I want to
stay. Here in our home, with you and our daughter. I wish that
with all my power I could still the hand of death. For you. For
her. I can't give that.. I could maybe give you flesh again.
Bring you back. You could live again. Truly live. I can do that.
That much of me is left..."
He withdrew his hand from pocket and reached out to her "All you
have to do is give me your hand" he looked at her with longing,
love, and hope. He wanted to feel her once again even if just
for that moment to give her life and until his mind slipped
away. Maybe even the next Vlad would love her as he does. It was
to much to hope for he knew. For her to accept and for things to
fall so smoothly and happily into place. For things to go back
to that while still moving forward. He sighed a small jet of
flame not having even realized he had held his breath. "You can
live to love again even if I will not. I want that for you."
tears slid freely down his cheeks salty water stinging his eyes
and flavoring his tongue sweet and bitter in the same instant.
Vlad knew he should hold himself back. That he should not be
allowing himself this much life once again, but he could not
resist his own hearts temptation.

[i]The longer she stood in his presence, the harder it
was for her not to shake from the heartbreaking force of seeing
his face. She had her own emotions to bite back and swallow; her
own confusion, her own life even in his absence. It was hardly a
happy life. She felt just as alone now as she did the day he
disappeared, but the loneliness was bearable now... to an
extent... But the more he said, the more she came to question
whether the temperamental happiness she felt as of late was
worth it. "Vlad... stop." She couldn't bare to keep listening,
soon enough Angel wouldn't be able to stand. "Stop apologizing.
The past is the past, and if you're really going to disappear
soon, for the final time, I would rather not waste the small
amount of time left with you regretting what you did in this
life."
With a small, shaky sigh she fell silent again, allowing him the
chance to speak. And what he offered her in the out-stretch of
his hand choked her breath away. Life, a chance for love and
happiness... Flesh. At first she didn't understand the meaning
of his words, his offering. But as she stretched her mind into
the silence, a small thought came to mind. Since her father's
death Angel had lost all hope of living a life like the one he
spoke of. It became an unshakable truth that the moment she left
The Realm of Darkness, the realm her parents had created, she
would lose any scrap of life she had left. The only reason she
was allowed to stand here now in the flesh of her angelic form
was because Fallen had taken her place; holding up the threads
of her homeland in a desperate attempt to allow Angel even a
small amount of time outside. 'Could he really save me from this
sad reality...?'
In that moment, Angel wanted so badly to take his hand and allow
him to try. Even if he couldn't grant her what she had always
dreamed for, at least she would be able to feel the pressure of
his hand in hers again. And for a moment, she almost took it.
But just as her feet began to move toward him, a mental 'CRACK!'
resounded so deeply in the corners of her mind that she stumbled
back instead, losing balance with wide eyes. "No..." Her voice
came out in a breathless murmur, hand retracting to rest over
her chest; as if trying to seal the invisible hole in her chest.
"Life... I couldn't... I can't." Her words tumbled over each
other thoughtlessly as she stole a confused glance at her
once-lover's face. Slowly, her head began to shake, teeth
tearing heavily into her lower lip. "This is no longer my home,
despite Angele living here. Really... it never was my home,
never could be... My father's Realm, that is where I belong.
That is where I must stay, and keep his spirit from leaving this
world... leaving me..." [i]

Vlad nodded as he let his hand fall to his side the offer was
refused and so some of the temptation had fled from his mind.
Smiling softly at her he closed the distance in what felt like
an instant and embraced her his tears stopping as his eyes
closed and he let every sensation of his body flood him. It was
the last time Vlad Crowe would feel such pleasures, the last
time he would ever hold the woman he loved. "Angel. I have
expected you to say no when I made the offer, I just had to know
I made it." he held her for as long as she would allow it
knowing she would fade through his fingers the moment she could
bare no more. "Angel do what you see as right and remember
though I am not here in mind and body I am here with you in
spirit. Every aspect of Hasan crafted by Angele's will, will
always house my soul. for this is my home, and no matter how you
feel about it you home too. No spirit. No loved one. Ever truly
leaves. All of the ones you love and have loved are inside your
heart, just as all I ever loved is in my soul. I would say my
heart but come soon it wont be mine" he laughed trying his
hardest to lighten the mood.
"I love you Angel. I always will. Know that. Vladamire
Alexandrian Crowe the Domini de Maestitiae will Always love you.
This life, the next life, after all lives end. My love belongs
to you." He felt a pain in his mind and in his flesh making
known to him he had only a little free will left. Days or weeks
at most. "You are my Angel. I am your Vladdykins. We made the
most wonderful daughter we could. She is our mark on this world
and is more than I ever believed part of me possible of
achieving and I owe that to you." He stepped away taking her in
with his eyes feeding on her scent in the air. "This is our
goodbye in this life, but know in the next. If you want to you
can find me. Just call my name and I will be there with you.
Heaven nor hell could keep me away." He smiled letting his wings
take shape and the crimson feathers to rain down around them
both. "Take a few... Take them all for all I care. But take them
all the same. For I want a part of me no matter how
inconsequential to be with you always." He waited now. He needed
her to say goodbye one last time before he could force the words
out. To hear her voice once more before he could truly welcome
his coming demise.
(Kinda disappointed with this one.)
