       Gais and Sakura.

As the night grew darker, so did Sakura's mood. She was in no
need to be within her house at this point in time, but would she
even survive out in the real world? Or was it gonna be like all
the other times she went out. Her dark emerald eyes sparkled, as
she looked out her window, placing her palms into the plane of
glass. She had shattered it once by slamming fist into the
surface with anger. Sighing, softly, she dropped her hands and
moved on to the door in her house. She looked at it, and gulped.
"James would want you to go out!" She closed her eyes and nodded
her head. Sakura knew she couldn't keep herself locked in here
forever, in this case, it was time to get out. Out of her memory
filled house. Her hand moved to the door knob, and she opened
the door, stepped out, and closing it once she took a step off
her front porch. Standing there, and letting the moon's bright
gleam shine over her, Sakura looked around. The world had
changed since she had left it, to stay in her house. Yeah she
could always look out her window, but it had really... Changed.

The night seemed to wrap Gais in perfect darkness as he strolled
the streets. To any normal person, the starless night was dark
enough to be oppressive in comparison to the daytime, but to a
man so attuned to the stars it was all too bright. With each
deep scuff of his feet against the concrete walk, he counted the
stars that he knew were there but could not see.
It made him lonely to be under this carpet of black with only
the false light of humankind to keep him company. He looked back
into past lives, and their vague memories of how the stars had
once taken their places in the sky. Oh, how the times changed!

Sakura glared into the night, and placed her hands on her hips.
She took a deep breath, and sighed. If only he was here with
her, she'd be able to smile, laugh, and actually care for once.
The normal tears flooded her eyes, she lifted her hand and wiped
the back of her hand against her eyes, collecting the tears.
Hearing someone walking forth, she turned her heard in their
direction. Seeing a male, or she thought it was a male walking
towards her, and her house. The memories of James doing the same
while holding flowers caused her to growl deeply in her throat.
She moved forward til she was in his path.
Looking at him, her eyes narrowed. "Sir." She spoke gently, yet
her voice was of a wise british folk.

His skyward eyes turned down at the soft accent that pierced the
air around Gais. His mind raced at the rush of new, earthly
beauty before him that was ablaze with the glitter of tear
streaks under the lamplight. He looked pale, unearthly while
bathed in the lack of nature in the world.
Only a mere shadow of his true self clung to the human form he
took, the kind of visage that would only be seen out of the
corner of one's eye. With the soft smile he gave the woman,
though, he had seemed almost normal, with a long pony tail of
dark violet hair pulled back behind his dead and normal attire.
       "Why, hello."

The woman really didn't know why she had con fronted the male,
but she did, placing her hands into her pockets, of her outfit,
she looked at him, and spoke softly. "I know you do not know me
but..." Looking down she grunted. "But, I was wondering, you
look like you are deep in thought, or something of the sort...
Would you like some company...?" Tilting her head, she let a
       soft smile grace her lips.
Sakura had a feeling that this might be a bad idea, she hadn't
had company in a long long while. Ever since her love had passed
away, and she had became distant with all of her sister's. She
hadn't been in a mood to talk to either of them, and so she
       waited.

The smile that slid across her face seemed only half-willed, and
shone weakly compared to the sadness in her eyes. However, it
was a pleasure indeed to be able to return such a thing, even if
the gentleness of Gais's dark lips was of little consolation.
"Oh... It is only a trivial thing," he told her through that
half-forced smile, "I am looking for the stars, and that could
       always use help."
He approached carefully, and the looseness of his garb bellowed
behind him as if the wind itself seemed to carry him towards the
woman. He was gentler in company than he was previously
traveling down the street, and seemed to make not a sound while
he turned the short drive and headed up towards the woman to
help guide her away from the home... "Of course, you have to
       want to see."

Sakura knew she could handle this, she took a step towards the
man and smiled. "Well, as long as I'm not being a burden, I just
need to get out of my house.." she took in a deep breath, and
gave him a once over. "The names Sakura. What is yours?"
Tilting her head at him, she kept letting her eyes scan him
over, not in a way of checking him out, but more of a way of
seeing what he was. She let him guide her from her house, with a
slight smile. Though, it was forced, it was still there. Sakura
would try to befriend this male, if she could. Or if he could
handle what she was. Her eyes flashed red.

"Gais, mam. The name is Gais," The man noted while he approached
slowly, before a sudden change in his movement overtook him. He
met the woman's pace after he took a soft twirl in the opposite
direction, and felt the ease of the silk glide upon his skin. It
was not but moments later their stroll took them down the lane
from whence Gais came, and a glimmer of his own true form, the
tall, proud beast of horn and sinewy muscle, appeared in the
eyes of the woman just as they seemed to flash that brightest
       crimson.
"I am sure... You will not be a burden."

It was like watching the man come out of the darkness when he
casually shifted to his real form. Something about it made
Sakura smile to herself. She herself was not much into hiding
her true form, maybe it was because her mother was a goddess,
and she had given Sakura a goddess look. Emerald orbs glanced
down to the road in which they were walking on slowly. She had a
feeling, that Gais was looking up at the night sky again. She
didn't speak though, it was very peaceful, unlike how she was in
her home, her mind filled with his voice.
"Sakura, I love you, and always will." The sudden voice rippled
through her mind like a bullet. The pain was extreme. Sakura's
eyes went wide, and she looked like she had just seen a ghost.
Her lips parted and she let out a scream. A tortured soul type
       of scream.

The dim gray of the sky seemed bright compared to the bleakness
that Gais heard pour from the woman's heart in a loud wail. The
pain of it fed his contempt for the earth and it's many pains
disguised in a veil of pleasure. At first he was unable to deal
with the almost howling cries, and he looked inward even as his
gaze fell from the sky towards the young woman.
He could see the fresh pain in her eye then, staring at her, and
it brought him back several lives to a time when his own agony
had racked him so. She was a star, Muirin, the guiding light of
the seaward travelers of the ancient homeland, and when she fell
from her grace in the sky Gais was the first one upon her... Her
face was much the same when he approached. He did not know until
after the young woman had thrown herself upon Gais' blade that
she had been betrayed, cast to earth by her lover and friend...
"Now, now," he reassured the beauty, "It will all be alright."
