“only the beginning...” I muttered to myself, repeating Zaraki's
words. Samonosuke wouldn't forget today. At least I'd have
something to occupy myself while I was here. As Zaraki began to
state it's “Separation Anxiety,” something within me triggered a
very...Crippling realization. To the others I left behind, I was
dead. How long was I dead there, though? Has everyone moved on?
The questions that began to pile made me more and more sick as
they continued to crash against the confines of my mind. It was
depressingly maddening how my mind worked. I hadn't taken note
of Zaraki leaving as my pace slowed, hands now raking through my
hair as the thoughts began to expand until they zeroed in on one
       thought.
Everyone that moved on would likely include her...The one woman
I gave my very soul to, and now I was without her. Now she'd be
going on with her life. Now someone else would take my place.
Someone else...Someone else....Someone else. It echoed in my
head and brought me to a stop, hands now meshed behind my head
before I paced into an alley and slowly slid my back down the
wall. This was no good...Hell of a way to break up, and even a
worse way to realize what happened. One would think that someone
who was in my situation would be thinking so many other things,
but only the thought of loneliness again began to scrape beneath
my flesh, causing my own fingers to rake back against where the
scratching began. My arms, legs, neck – it didn't matter. Red
marks claimed pale flesh as I slowly rocked back and forth, and
the only thing that played through my mind was “Someone
       else....”
It didn't matter if they were waiting...It didn't matter if
there was even a gang in the alley I sat in or not, either.
Three, four – hell, make it a group of eight. Win or die –
again, it didn't matter. All I wanted now was for it to
stop...But there was no music. There was no way to talk to
anyone – I didn't have the slightest clue who anyone was here
besides the two acquaintances I made here, and even they
probably wouldn't want to hear something like that from a
stranger. One was a girl who probably had a life to actually get
back to and the other was a fucking robot of all things.
“Great day to be anyone but me, huh...?” I muttered to myself,
shivering as the pain of the raking was finally masked by the
euphoria of the endorphines. “Someone else...”

After a bit, something in my mind made me wake up. More so of
the presence of someone else. As I opened my eyes. I just
noticed the little robot and frowned a bit. Did he leave the boy
behind? How strange. It wasn't something for Zaraki to do now
was it? I stood up and brushed my hands over my dress, watching
Zaraki with a sigh. "Where's Casey? I saw he won from the big
guy, but now he's gone. Did you do something to him?" I asked
with a snide tone, feeling quite suspicious of Zaraki for the
moment. Even if Zaraki hadn't, he still managed to not even
notice. Sighing again, I moved my hands through my hair. "We
have to find him. I doubt he knows what everything is and where
he is, just like me." I spoke in a serious tone. I didn't know
the boy, but leaving him like this wasn't right. I closed my
eyes for a moment, trying to sense some kind of energy. I could
always track down my magic that was around his body. Yes it had
worn off, but it wasn't hard to trace my own magic and where I
used it last. Which was on him. My eyes opened again as they
were a bit brighter blue at the moment. "Alright, I know where
he is. In some alley way not too far from here." I mumbled, my
       magic making me easily transport.
In a blink of an eye, I stood infront of him, watching him
sitting against a wall. I frowned a bit as I noticed how he was
clawing his own skin. Was this normal for people? She wasn't
sure, but apparently he had a lot of things on his mind. And not
so pleasant thoughts either. I kneeled down infront of him, my
hands just taking his to at least make him stop clawing at his
skin. "What are you doing? No need for selfharm. You can tell me
what's wrong though. I mean.. I know you don't know me, and I
don't know you either, but I can always listen." I spoke with a
calm, yet kind tone, a smile spreading over my lips. It wasn't a
mood to really smile, and I had no idea what was going through
his head, but I couldn't just watch him being this.. depressed.
Sighing lightly, I sat down on my knees, still holding his
hands. "Casey, it may sound strange to hear from a stranger,
but.. You're not alone." I spoke in a soft tone now. Looking
next to me, I did notice a few people. Rolling my eyes a little,
a soft light came from my body, making a barrier. Pretty much
making Casey and myself invisible to those people. Zaraki could
probably see through the barrier with sensors, but for now, I
had to make sure Casey and I were safe. My eyes slowly went back
to Casey, tilting my head lightly. "Things will be alright." I
       whispered, smiling and nodding lightly.

Sensors picking up on the strange girl as she transported
herself, the two Zaraki turn to face one another. Now, deciding
to communicate with one another, they began. "System analysis
indicates inefficiency with speed. Systems upgrades
recommended." With that, the two machines began to decompile and
recompile; the machine's body becoming thicker and more tightly
compiled. Though it's body would remain the same for the most
part, now the machine had a massive 'gunblade' katana.
Now, crouched down, the colossal being had to allow it's bios to
reboot; reconfiguring the mainframe to sustain the new form. The
H.U.D. would display in a red 'terminator' style view; only
auxillery artillery would be active at this point; auto-firing
on anything that dared to get close to the nearly defenseless
       monstrosity.

It hurt. Not in a physical manner, but it felt like my insides
were in a blender, and I could feel them being turned into a
puree. The figures that I had almost hoped for apparently were
there, and they were drawing closer. Maybe I should stay like
this? Let them knock the crap out of me. It'd add to the
endorphine rush I was having from the scraping....Or I could
imagine them as the potential new boyfriends of my ex...It was
possible. Very easy, too. I could smash them all to bits and
bloody my knuckles. Won't even care if they lived. Those who
pick fights should expect their death to be swift if they can't
handle what is thrown at them. The sudden appearance of a
familiar energy, though, pulled me from the thoughts as my head
snapped up. There was no way to cover the red marks that had
become welts, and for the first time in a while, I
felt...Pathetic. It was kind of her to put up the little bubble
and offer her hand, but there were more important things to get
to than my stupid little problems.
So with a huff and a shake of my head, I allowed my legs to push
myself up the wall, ignoring the slight scrape against my back
before dusting myself off and looking to her. Now that I thought
about it, I still felt like a jerk for denying the help. There
were still more important things to do, though...Maybe I'd tell
her later? With that thought, and a shrug, I clapped my hand
lightly upon her shoulder and squeezed a little, being mindful
to not get any of the blood from Samonosuke on her before
letting go. My eyes darted to my left to watch as the men who
had once been approaching seemed to leave, but two stayed
behind. Did they know the girl used Magick?
“I'll tell you when we're out of the Suck,” I said with a smile
before looking to the two. “but in the meantime, I think they
need to be dealt with. Don't you? Or do you want to sit back for
a little and see how far I can get?”

I silently watched him, not sure what he wanted to do. I didn't
exactly expect he would take my help, but that was okay. I
smiled lightly at him as he got up, tilting my head a bit. My
hands slowly let go of his, and as soon as he laid his hand on
my shoulder, I slowly got back up as well. My eyes moved to the
left as well, noticing two people ust looked through my magic.
"How strange.. People shouldn't be able to see through my magic
like that. Unless, they are magical beings themselves." I slowly
looked back to him, and shrugs a bit. First priority was to at
least get the redness on his skin away. My hand started to glow
up white, slowly trailing over his hand. The white glowing
started to move over Casey's body, taking away the redness and
pain, if there was any. Sighing a bit now, I nodded lightly
again. "I don't think it's wise to let you fight alone, again.
You just got out of a fight." I spoke softly, smiling a bit. I
maybe wasn't stronger than him physically, but I had some lovely
tricks up my sleeve. I was quite advanced in the art of magic. I
sighed a bit, dusting off my dress and smiled still. "Also, I
rather not let people know about my magic. I could erase their
memory, maybe?" I was more of speaking to myself, but I enjoyed
       the thought already.
As soon as the two men came closer, I just rolled my eyes a
little. I kept the magic shield up, so not more people would be
triggered to come and fight. "Since you fought against that big
guy not too long ago, let me get those. Your time to take a
break. I think that's fair." I spoke with a soft and sweet
voice. My left hand started to glow white as my right hand
became pitch black. Taking a deep breath, I brought my hands
together, the two colors mixing together quickly. In just a
second, it formed into a big ball, my hands moving away from
eachother to let the ball grow more and more. My eyes started to
shine more as well, energy spiraling around me greatly. The
energy was easily felt when standing nearby, somewhat making
gravity a bit stronger. The ground underneath me started to
crumble a bit, little rocks starting to hover above the ground
as the energy got bigger. A deep blue color started to appear in
the core, a smile appearing on my lips. "Sapphire chaos." I
simply whispered, the massive ball shot out of my palms. It
became beam like, shooting towards the two people. The sapphire
       colored core started to expand.
When it hit the two men, an explosion appeared. My magic shield
was still around Casey, and all he would feel was a comforting
warmth. I sighed lightly, dusting off my hands lightly, tilting
my head. "If that didn't make them vanish, then at least they
ran away now. Or.. Nothing's left of them. And if they did
manage to flee, the blue glow would erase their memory." I said
in a soft voice. I turned towards Casey, smiling still. "So..
you were saying? I can listen to what's on your mind. I know
people need to talk about things sometimes." I said sweetly, my
       hands on my back.

It was starting to sink in now. Cybernetic organisms. Magick
users. Holy shit was I underpowered in all this. The thought
stuck hard as Mimi started to take away the soreness that had
been anywhere she hovered. I was lucky that this “Samonosuke
Chikaku” guy wasn't very intelligent or I would've been screwed.
Was that what this was all about? Killed and then shoved into a
position where I could be knocked off at any second? My brows
furrowed as Mimi continued to talk, only half-understanding what
she was saying. She was muttering something about erasing
memories and about having fought Samonosuke. He was attacking
wildly and without real thought to his strategy. Why would it
have been difficult? I could take the two. My mouth was even
about to open in order to protest, but at the sudden light that
streaked through the air, it only fell open in silence.
What had she just done? When the light disappeared there was
nothing left of the two. Great. A magick user who can blow
people away in one hit. An android who was likely ten times my
strength and durability. Then you have little ol' human me. A
burden already. My right hand came up slowly to scratch at the
back of my head as the girl spoke, but I only shook my head. It
was probably a good time to get back to Zaraki before talking
about any of that. Samonosuke's little goons were probably
raring to gain some revenge for their boss getting the crap
knocked out of him. Even if just wiping them out seemed like a
good idea – and it likely could be done if he was the strongest,
why stick around? There was food, weapons, and a place to lay
down for a little where Zaraki was and it was much more tempting
than trying to prove to be useful.
“Let's just get to where Zaraki is,” I muttered before letting
out a slow breath. “I think taking the rooftops would be easier
than having to zig-zag through the streets. If you can use
Magick, you can levitate somehow, right? If you know the way,
then lead on. I'll be able to keep up on the roofs.”

I first just looked back at the spot where the two guys were, to
make sure they were really gone. My eyes went back to look at
Casey, tilting my head lightly. It was apparent he didn't really
want to talk about what was bothering him. That was alright. I
left the option open for him, if he ever wanted to talk. "Sorry
about that. Didn't want to waste a lot of time. Plus, I still
need to find a way home and my magic isn't able to do such it
seems." I sighed a bit at that thought, tapping my chin lightly
with my index finger. I wasn't too worried about Samonosuke, but
that was mainly because that man was beaten before already.
Looking at the sky, I smiled a bit. This was going to be
interesting. It was possible she drew attention with the massive
light, but that didn't matter. Slowly looking back at Casey as
he spoke, I just nodded at first. "I can levitate, and it's just
three blocks from here. So, we'll be there in no time. I'm sure
Zaraki is waiting for us already. Can you get up the rooftops
yourself? Or need some help?" She could imagine that he didn't
want help to get on the rooftops. Looking up, I just sighed and
tilted my head. Walking wasn't so bad either. It were just three
       blocks anyway.
I just jumped up, the light surrounding me as I stayed up in the
air, not too high yet. "Well, if there's anything, just ask me.
I can support you if you like. Or if there is any danger, or you
feel worn out, just tell me." I gave him a kind smile, just
making sure he got on the rooftops safely. Going a bit higher
now, so I stood on the rooftop myself, I just looked around and
crossed my arms for a moment. I knew I had to go north, to get
back to the place. I left my mirror there, so I could transport
him there, but, since he was human, I'd better let him run. I
wondered what Zaraki was doing though. Did he maybe go inside
already? My thoughts kept going as I waited for Casey to get on
the rooftops. Slowly walking along the sides of the rooftops and
looking around, I smiled lightly. Was I ever going to get back
home? Hopefully. Looking back, and then in front of me again, I
was glad to see the big building already. "Come on, Casey. It's
not that far. Then you can rest and eat if you like, like Zaraki
said." I said with a soft giggle.

Having returned to the base, the machine known as Zaraki had
become decommissioned; giving way for the true man behind him to
appear. Walking forth, from the base, standing atop the stairs,
the unstoppable creature who'd brought about the end of so many
tyrants; Lord Maru Bloodrose. As he looked on, the moon hanging
eternally overhead, the lord of demons closed his eyes; simply
waiting. With a sigh, the former True Family member looked up to
the various statues; the only surviving remnants of old, each
one representing a victory of his and a death of an opponent.
Among his favorites, of course, were those showing him hoisting
       Ace Legend by the throat mere seconds before taking his life;
him standing above a downed Auron with his sword aimed at the
man's throat; and of course.. the statue of him standing
victorious with tattered clothes as the sole survivor of a less
than epic struggle with a less than worthy opponent. It was
destined to happen, after having spent part of his early life
being pushed around by these unworthy creatures, that he would
stand victorious and eternal in the annals of time; sure to
forever be remembered as one of the single greatest warriors to
       have ever lived.
Standing under the statues, looking out across Zion, Lord Maru
could tell there was a disturbance; he'd debriefed the Zaraki
squad robot before decommissioning it after all. With a shrug,
just waiting, the lord of demons began to muse about the past.
It would be short lived, however, as he began to wonder what the
interlopers to his planet would desire. "Hmm.. I wonder what the
       guests seek.."

I waited and waited on the top of the building, still seeing no
sign of Casey coming up. I didn't even hear any sounds. It made
me slightly worried, yet also frustrated. Did he need help to
get up here? Slowly walking to the edge of the building, I
looked down, seeing him standing there. What was he doing?
Waiting? Thinking about his past? Pondering some strategy to do
something if danger came around again? I just sighed and shook
my head, huffing a bit. Crossing my arms, I looked over the area
and wondered if Zaraki even worried. Why wasn't he looking for
us? We were away for quite a bit now. Looking back down I just
frowned. "Hey Casey, what are you doing? You're taking quite a
bit, don't you think?" I said and giggled a bit. "Come on. I bet
you can rest at where Zaraki is. I don't think resting here is
quite a smart idea." My voice was loud enough so he could hear
me. Looking back up, I just tilted my head, placing my hands on
my back. This was becoming a bit tiring. I wanted to go home.
What were my people doing without my presence there? Maybe they
got a new Queen or King assigned? I frowned a bit at those
thoughts and shook them off quickly. I felt pretty useless right
       now.
Getting rid of my negative thoughts, I looked back down at
Casey, just smiling. It was kind of sad to see him struggle so
much. Was it because he was human? I didn't understand human
behaviour too well, but I wanted to learn. He seemed like a
complex person, which made me curious as to why. Hopping down
the building, I landed in front of him. "You know, I'll just
bring us there in an instance. It'll save you energy too. You
just may feel a bit dizzy from the transportation." She smiled,
letting her hand rest on his arm. A bright white light
surrounded them both as they suddenly vanished into nothing.
The mirror that still laid at the building started to tremble a
lot and moved from the ground. The mirror slowly started
hovering straight and gave out a blinding light. The blinding
light made me and Casey appear right at the building. As I stood
on the ground now, I used both my hands to set Casey down as
carefully as I could. Grabbing the mirror next, I smiled and
made it shatter to break the transportation line. "There, no
more portal. Are you okay?" I looked at Casey, moving his hair
away, since it became a bit messy in the portal. I giggled
lightly and tilted my head. "Sorry for the sudden transportation
I-" I stopped talking as I felt a strong, familiar presence.
Biting my lip lightly, I tried to think on who's energy it was.
As I looked around a bit panicked now, I took a step forward.
Looking back at Casey, I smiled slightly. "Stay right here." I
said clearly with a serious tone of voice. Jumping up in the
sky, I hovered in the air, looking above the buildings to see
where the person was. As I looked to my right, I noticed he was
actually very close by. Quickly coming back to the ground, I
looked at Casey with a nervous look.
It was Lord Maru. Not exactly someone I expected to see here. I
did defeat him last time I saw him, but it was a tough battle.
Nearly cost my own life. It took me weeks to heal all the burned
tissue and wounds. Sighing a bit, I wondered how I got to this
planet. Was this his home planet? If so, I felt quite
uncomfortable right now. I had to make sure not another fight
would break free. "Casey, there's someone pretty powerful real
close by. Just be careful. I'll try my best to protect us." I
nodded a bit, giving him a secure smile now. I had beaten Lord
Maru before, so, I may be able to do it again. Taking Casey's
hand without asking, I pulled him with me towards where I saw
Lord Maru standing. As we got close to Lord Maru, I let go of
Casey's hand, looking up at the demonic man. "Well.. Didn't
expect to see you again, so soon even." I said with a confident
voice. Giving the man a smile, I nodded a bit. "I'm not looking
for another fight, Lord Maru. I just got here by accident. I
have no idea how. I think same goes for the young man behind
me." My voice was sweet, hoping Lord Maru wouldn't want to fight
       either.
