"Yeah I know...Plus you guys don't have any of the food I
actually like..All this..'Normal People' food. Bleck..." I shook
my head in disgust watching them all head off to find Jose.
"This should be more entertaining than that tale of Find Ye Olde
Waldo...Hopefully Jose will get ba...Nah I'm still pretty sure
flying bears or angry fairies will abduct him." I placed my
hands behind my head and began to ponder the possible choices
for lunch tomorrow...Mmm..Cobra tails..mixed with Wild
Mushrooms..So delicious.

I shook my head as the last of Heigha's words faded into the
distance. "Such a strange being, that man." I mumbled, making my
way into the darkened forest. My night vision was certainly not
the best by any means, but it was enough to keep me from walking
into a tree, even if just barely. The vegetation was thick and
hard to maneuver through, even in what was considered the
shallow forest. "Jose! Jose where are you damn it?!" I called
into the darkness, and was answered with the roar of a rather
large mammal. "Oh dear God...he's been eaten..."

I finally fell back into dream land. So nice without your boss
commanding you and screaming in your ear. But at least he feeds
me the foods I like. After a little bit I woke up and still
noticed they weren't there. "Huh..Guess Jose was hexed. Oh
well..I'll put his belongings on the junk sale for Etianmai, he
might make a buck or two."

Sang and Savam had already loaded crossbows, and Losa lowered a
spear in front of us. The roar echoed through the woods once
again, and it was obviously closer this time around. "Damn the
south...you need an army just to pass through it!" I said, even
though along the southern coast was where I had my villa. The
roar came again, and we quickly began to fall back toward the
caravan, where we could at least see what we were up against. As
we came to the forests edge, the light of the fire was enough to
reveal what had stalked through the trees, a large, clearly
angry leopard creature. It had the spots of the cat, but was
three time the size, with longer claws and pure red eyes, with
what appeared to be wings along oddly shaped arms. "No way in
he-" I began, when the beast burst into the air. " OPEN FIRE!" I
commanded, and the two men shot the crossbows, missing widely.

I looked around hearing the roar sound in the distance. "That's
what ate him..Them flying bears..." I shook my head. "Hopefully
Boss didn't run into them..He has to know their weakness." As I
started to search through the supplies. "Let's
see....No..No..Junk..Junk..Special Junk.."

The two men quickly began reloading the crossbows, and the beast
released an earsplitting screech that instantly gave me a strong
headache. " I assume this is for catching prey...lets not become
dinner, shall we?!" I said, and pointed a finger at the beast,
seeing double. "Emire totam!" I shouted, and a small orb of fire
shot at the beast, or at least I thought it did, I in fact had
missed by a longshot. The two crossbow bolts missed by similar
margins. "Heigha! HEIGHA!" I called, knowing he'd know how to
deal with this monster.

"JOSE!? Please...Please don't haunt me! I didn't mean any of it
I swear!!" I covered my face hoping not to see the angry ghost
of Jose. After a few moments I I realized something. "Jose can't
speak English!" So I quickly leaped out of the caravan and went
to find whoever beckoned. Seeing that Etianmai had encountered
the flying leopard. "Aww man.. I thought it was a flying
bear..."

"THIS IS REALLY NOT THE TIME TO BE CONCERNED WHAT MEAT EATING
CREATURE IS FLYING AROUND US!" I yelled, ducking quickly as the
beast swooped down and knocked over a cart. "THE POINT IS IT
WANTS TO DEVOUR US ALL! HOW DO WE KILL THIS BLASTED THING?!"

"Do you have a Ouse?" I asked. I guessed they didn't so I pulled
out mine. The Ouse was an imitation of a mouse with wings as I
hung it in front of the flying cat." Ere kitty kitty
kitty...Ere..GO GET IT!" As I chucked it across the forest.

The beast seemed to dart after whatever Heigha had thrown. I had
no idea what it was or how it worked, and truth be told, I
didn't rightly care. "Well...I suppose we know what happened to
Jose...God rest his soul..." I said, crossing myself. The other
men followed suit, and then slowly returned to their cabins. We
had had enough excitement for one night. I then glanced over my
shoulder as I heard footsteps, and then who was it but Jose,
carrying an armful of moon lilies. "Boss, I grabbed these just
like you said!" I looked at him for a moment, then turned away.
"I said Moon Stones...how does that even...nevermind. Go to bed
Jose." I said, and collapsed onto the ground next to the
overturned caravan, which was, of course, my residence on the
road.
