Re: The Dragons Den
By: Raijuta Date: September 1, 2012, 12:51 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
The way she held onto his arm was comforting, though he wasn't
sure why. Perhaps it was a sense of closeness that he hadn't
felt in quite some time... It was refreshing, and made his sure
that they were exactly where they were meant to be. When she
decided to follow him, he nodded his head. "Then I guess I'll
introduce you to the family." He said happily. "If I'm the Lord
of Dragons here, That means you will be their Mistress, after
all. He lead her to the Dragon closest to the house; The Golden
scaled Dragon that patrolled the lands proudly. "This is
Prince." He told her. "The Divine Dragon passed down to me by
Magnus. I guess you could call him the 'Leader' of the tamed
Dragon Spirits. Raijuta raised his arm to the Dragon, who looked
down at him, however, did not lower his head.Though Raijuta had
been named as the Dragon's new master, he was far from in full
control of him. The beasts powers were far from compatible with
his own nature, and until me Mastered the skills he had acquired
from Magnus, the proud beast would not acknowledge him fully.
"Prince." Raijuta said, the Dragon lowering his head slightly in
response to being called by name. "This is Soraya. As of today,
She is the newest member of our home." A low growl emitted from
the beasts belly, and he closed his eyes and bowed his head
slightly, as if to show a sign of respect. He immediately went
back to his patrol, as if he had never been addressed by the two
Draconians in the first place. "He and I haven't had much time
to bond yet." Raijuta said with a chuckle as they continued to
walk. Raijuta introduced her to the other tamed Dragon spirits
in the process. His Partner, Xanther, the Ice Dragon, Shockwave,
the sepentlike Thunder Dragon. Blaze the fire Dragon, and
Shadow... The Black Dragon of Shadows. He even introduced her to
JD's Galactic Dragon, and Akeria's Gas Dragon, both of which yet
to be named. He did not, however, take her near any of the
untamed and unpartnered Dragons. As they didn't care for the
weak blooded Draconians, even the Ancients, such as Raijuta, who
had 3/4 or more pure Dragon blood.
Eventually, Raijuta looked to the sky, as if he felt something
coming. He then stopped walking and knelt down to one knee,
removing his bag from his shoulder, and taking a blanket out of
it. "Here." He told her, as he placed it around her shoulder. It
was a special blanket he had made for any company he kept. It
regulated body heat, regardless of environment. No sooner than
the moment he got the bag onto his shoulder once more, did the
sun fade away from the sky, to be replaced by an Icy blue moon.
The nice summer breeze was replaced by a chilly snow, which only
picked up in intensity, and in mere moments, the green grass was
replaced with an icy substitute. The powder snow provided
traction for the two as they walked, and Raijuta spoke a bit
louder than normal, to be heard over the whistling of the winds.
"I've learned to tell when the realms are going to change. But I
can't control it yet!" He said, as Xanther made his way to their
side, blocking the two of them from the bitter cold winds.
Raijuta was unsure how much time had past since the two went
out, but it had surely been quite some time. The entrance to the
caverns wasn't too far from them. But it was quite a trek back
to the manor. "Do you want to wait it out?" He asked the
Draconian beauty. "We can go back if you want to!"

It wasn't hard to tell that Soraya didn't care for Prince. This
brought a chuckle to Raijuta's throat as the two walked away.
"Don't be so hard on him." He said with a soft laugh. "Imagine
spending years with your loyalty only to one person, then
suddenly being passed off like a used car. Of course it's going
to take some time for the two of us to bond..."He caught her
peeking around, as if looking for something in the distance, but
he wrote it off as nothing more than taking in the sights of her
new home. Overall, the Dragons took to her kindly, though he had
to be cautious of some of them, who were not yet well trained.
Akeria's Dragon was known for exhaling toxic fumes without
intent.
The sudden changing of the realms hadn't come as a surprise to
Rai, however it was quite inconvenient. For him, traveling
through a Blizzard was nothing, but he wouldn't force Soraya to
endure such an uncomfortable situation. She already had to put
up with his cold temperature. So he guided her into the nearby
cave. Seldom did he wander in there, but he knew the first few
levels pretty well. The walls were multicolored, as if made of
corral, and though there appeared to be nothing living within,
there was the feeling of something lurking deep within. "Come
on!" Raijuta said, leading her further in. "There's something I
want you to see." The third level contained a hot spring.
However, the content of the spring changed with the realms.
Under the icy moon, the spring maintained a slightly warm
temperature, but not quite hot, like it would be under the Firey
red moon. It was enough to keep warm when stuck in a blizzard,
however. When they arrived, Rai turned to Soraya, and removed
his shirt. "This should be enough to keep warm." He said,
removing his shirt and white pants, leaving only his shorts
before stepping into the water. It was nice. Not so hot that he
would be uncomfortable, but far from cold. He wondered why there
couldn't be a cold water spring, but never questioned it,
instead motioning to the beauty above him. "Come on in, the
water's fine!"

A grin played on Raijuta's face, as he didn't miss the pink tint
that overtook Soraya's face when he undressed. It was cute to
him, though he didn't say anything. Until that moment it hadn't
occurred to him that in all the time Soraya had been staying
with him, she had never watched him disrobe. He didn't grant her
the same courtesy, however, instead laughing to himself as she
carefully folded her clothes and lay them on the blanket, where
he had simply thrown his clothes to the side. He wondered if she
really had such a meticulous streak, or if she was simply
nervous. Either way, she was the most adorable thing in the
world in that moment.
It seemed the warm water had done her well, as she seemed to
relax a bit. "It's fine." He told her. "As long as it isn't hot,
I'm fine."When the woman drew closer to him, he wrapped an arm
around her, and placed a kiss on her forehead. "It's alright."
He told her. "You don't need to be so nervous. Just enjoy
yourself." He knew it would take some time for her to do that.
Even if this was the place she could now call "home" it was new
to her, and it would take some adjusting. Raijuta lay back in
water, his head laying on the surface of the rock. He wondered
how long this shift in the realms would last. If it was one of
the longer ones, he would have to take her home soon....

[[ Changing POV ]]
You were about to go on a long rant about how Rai should really
stop poofing on you like that but wow was that interrupted by a
rather rude fellow. Your pointed ears twitched a little and you
shot a glare towards the man. Oh if you weren't concerned about
Rai's mother and sister you would've launched yourself up there
and gave him a right good whacking for interrupting a good
conversation with Thraestrix. Instead, you only sighed and your
wings threaded again. The same threads you used to form the
skies sprouted from your back again and you followed Raijuta,
nodding as you slipped through the portal and patiently waited
on him on the other side. Fuming and angry at this point, you
wanted to bend that boy over your knee and show him some good
motherly definition of disapproval. Though you just fumed to
yourself and huffed a bit before you settled down. Guessing that
Thraestrix was rather infuriated, you were worried about how she
was fairing. She seemed well enough, but you didn't want her to
strain herself. Tucking some of your red hair behind your ear,
you couldn't help the frown the creased your lips.
First he goes and poofs on you again and then this asshole
decides to mess stuff up with Rai's reunion. How splendid. Just
thinking about it made you want to tear a hole in the fabric of
space near that jerk and let him be torn to shreds by the vacuum
of space. You doubted it would really work, since he wasn't
human, but you figured a good bit of pressure and suffocation
would probably be grand for discipline for the wanker. Oh no,
Roane your rather harsh side was showing, better stop it before
it gets out of hand. Being a stellar being, you were rather
susceptible to changes in mood. Crossing your arms over your
chest, your wings keeping you up in the air, you decided it best
to just examine your surroundings for now. It had been a while
since you had been anywhere that wasn't along travels and this
place looked rather important. Plus, Rai wouldn't have shuffled
you in here had it not been important and safe. So you decide to
give a close look around and map out certain things you wanted
to check out later. Oh wow this was rather magnificent, really.
Your jade eyes scanned around a bit more before you looked to
the portal again.

*POOF* "DO YOU HEAR M---" Just like that, Thrae found herself
pulled into another location; which caused her to stop her rant
and rave toward the intruder. It took her a few seconds for her
mind to register what had happened. "Wha.. Where..?" She asked,
wrapping her arms around herself. The little outburst of hers
had taken a lot out of her, yet she could still stand. She just
caught eyesight of Roane. Seeing the familiar face, Rae forced a
smile and made her way toward her, still wrapped up in her arms.
She looked up, gazing at the skyward creature as she awaited the
return of Rai; IF he would return. Maybe he could answer some
questions, maybe he could tell her how JD's doing, or maybe, he
could catch another verbal thrashing from making her leave her
son behind..

Kaitriona was just about to leap with excitement at the mention
of a chance to train alongside her nephew when the load roaring
voice broke up their little family reunion and she was suddenly
swept up by her eldest brother, clinging to him for dear life as
he flew with them to safety beyond the portal. Once they were
all clear, Kait hopped down to land gently on her feet and then
sit on the ground, dumbfounded, the music having ceased since
their interruption. "What WAS that thing?!" she exclaimed,
folding her arms. "Barging in and announcing himself like he was
the king or something. We were all having such a fun chat!"
Kaitriona huffed and looked around the area to see who had come
with them. There was her brother or rather his dragon, the lady
who had bumped into him earlier, and then there was her mother.
Only four. Where was everyone else? she wondered silently.

Your wings kept you up and you were raring to go back
there and kick someone in the rear end. The insides of your
threaded wings resembled the moving blue sky with tracing clouds
as you hovered there until you saw Rai's mother. Upon seeing her
moving towards your position down beneath you, you dropped
yourself to the ground and landed with a soft thud. Concern
riddled your features as your wings fell back into the
translucent threads and wavered off into nothing. "Thraestrix,
are you alright?" Oh you knew the woman probably wanted to go on
a long rant and probably return and whoop someone's ass right
about now but you probably shouldn't let her do that. Knowing
that Rai would most likely scold you for allowing his mother,
who was still recovering, to go back and pick a bone with the
rather rude jerk who interrupted their reunion, you didn't give
hint that you were wanting to go back. Then when the smaller
girl came in, your jade eyes flashed over to her and you raised
a brow for a moment. This was so confusing. Raising your fingers
to press to your brow, you huffed a bit and grumbled to
yourself. "I'm going to kick him in the shin."
Mumbling to yourself for a moment about how you were going to
rant and rave at Rai later, as well as kick him, you
straightened up and brushed off your clothes. "Well this
certainly a predicament.. Though I'm sure things will be just
fine." You pushed a smile to your lips and looked to the both of
them. "How's about I make some tea, yes?" Opening your palm
flat, you waited for a moment before the black hole like
structure wavered in it and your satchel slowly came out of it.
Giving it a light tug with your other hand, you crouched down
and opened it, sifting through it for a moment.

"You're going to kick who in the shin, exactly?" Raijuta
questioned Roane as he walked through the opening in space which
he had made for the three he wished to protect. "If it's me,
then here's your one and only chance to do it without getting
your foot frozen solid. He lifted his foot off the ground and
pointed his knee in Roane's direction. He figured after leaving
her behind and then rushing her off, he could offer her at least
this much satisfaction. He then turned to his mother and sister,
whom he had carried away in his arms. He gave his mother a stern
look. Now it was her turn to recieve the lecture. "What did you
think you were doing popping off at a stranger like that in your
condition? What would you have been able to do if he decided to
attack you? Do you know what it feels like for a person to see
his mother dead on the ground? I remember that feeling and I
don't want the little one to EVER feel that kind of pain." His
eyes shifted over to Kait only for a moment as he mentioned her.
But they quickly shifted back to his mother, whom he could only
hope had calmed down. "Be mindful of your condition from now on,
mother. We can't lose you again."
There was something else that plagued Raijuta's mind as well.
Before him and his siblings, there was no record of a Draconian
being able to fully control the Dragon that resided within him.
Thaestrix, who still wasn't in peak condition, may have lost
control if her anger got too out of hand. He never knew about
her Dragon, or how she and it got along. In fact, he didn't
learn he was a Draconian until well after her death. He didn't
want to risk that sort of outbreak. Against JD's opponent, it
would certainly mean death.
Kait's question was difficult to answer. "That was one of JD's
former allies. Though he has no ties to our family. The best I
can explain it is to say that our brother got tied in with the
wrong crowd, and now all of them, including JD are looking for
closure. It's not something we can interfere with, but I'm
afraid the remains of those lands will be no more when the dust
settles..."

You gave a little blink when Rai showed up, pouting
while you narrowed your eyes at him. "You, for suddenly rushing
me some where else, and for startling Thraestrix!" Getting out
the little burner and tea kettle you always kept with you, you
started on some tea before you brushed your hands off and got
up, giving him a little kick to the side of his leg. "Though I
understand your point of view, do not forget that a mother
losing a child is just as bad. She was worried, is worried, and
will most likely remain worried until her son returns safely.
Though we cannot interfere, I do suggest keeping a view point
open in order to ensure that he can get medical attention if
needed." Suddenly, you felt as stern and motherly as ever while
you crossed your arms and turned on your heels, giving a small
smile to Thraestrix. "Just remain calm okay? Your health is
important, so do not let it slip away alright? In the mean time,
I will set up a small fire and finish up the tea." You turned to
the younger girl and bent down to her height, keeping a sweet
smile. "As for you, I do believe you were about train if I'm not
mistaken? Perhaps you'd enjoy training with a sizable opponent
made of my threads until you're able to train properly?"
Getting to your feet when you heard the little kettle pop, you
strode over to it and set up the cups and other items to go with
the tea. Really, you kept everything on hand for any situation.
After accomplishing that, you started the small fire away from
Raijuta and kept a cooling shield of sorts around you so you
wouldn't burn up. Giving a little twirl of your fingertips, the
threads that formed and congregated into a figure was a foot or
so taller than Kaitriona. It got into a stance but made no
notion of moving yet, simply waiting while you gave thought to
the whole 'no more land' thing and gave a small sigh. Trying to
think of what you could do, you tilted your head and your face
was shrouded with your red locks. "Perhaps I could give
assistance to rebuilding after the fight has finished? My
threads are sturdy and useful for temporary housing and base
structure.. Though it is up to you all, but my offer will stand
until I am no more." Sitting down, you crossed your legs and
turned your head to the side, opening a little void, almost like
a peep hole to see what was going on with the fight. "Hmm.."

Raijuta was shaken with silent laughter when Sora didn't address
his statement. It seemed she wasn't ready to confront that
possibility, choosing to instead focus on the wedding, which did
indeed need to be discussed. "Well, it seems to me we have two
options." He responded calmly. We can have it in the next few
months, before you start showing, or in a year or so, after you
have the baby." He had cleverly incorporated Soraya's pregnancy
back into the conversation intentionally. For he wanted to know
how she felt about it.
He watched her wander around the kitchen, admiring her as she
did so. Man she was beautiful... He couldn't help but wonder if
she would be as big a pain in pregnancy as Akeria had been...
"You know what color my tux will be." He said, not even truly
addressing the idea of a pink tux. Though he had to admit; it
would be hilarious to show up in one on the day of their
weddding.
His hand squeezed hers lightly when she reached for it, offering
comfort in his cool grip. He nodded his head as she requested
that they not tell anyone until they were "sure." He supposed it
was true when they said the man always knows first. He -was-
sure, even if Sora wasn't ready to admit it. Perhaps she would
go through a phase of denial as well.
His brow raised, as she used his hand for an ice pack, asking
about his brothers and sisters. "I could call for them to return
home..." He said, stopping to think about it for a moment. "We
all return here sporadically. My stays tend to be the longest,
but then, so do my absences. I think I have a reason to stay
here for good this time..." He smiled as he looked on at the
woman to be his wife. "I've never had that before."
