When she mentioned having something that belonged to this
person he was looking for he shook his head and sighed. "Sadly I
have nothing of hers. I only have her memory, but sometimes
thats all you need. Her name was Jasmine. I know where she is,
it's getting there and getting back that blinds me. In a place
called the Over World. I don't know how to find my way into the
Over World and I'm not sure how to get out if I happened to find
a way in." He frowned a little thinking of the past and of
Jasmine. His whole life he only had two friends. Jasmine was one
and the female he fought along side with in the war was the
other. He never let anyone else get close to him. There were
many reasons for this, but the one that was the biggest of them
all was he didn't mind being alone. He chuckled a little bit and
shook his head. "Enough of the saddness and of the past. We've
got to worry about now, which means fixing you up."
Volt looked over her body reaching over to grab the bottle off
liquid and the rag. He hated the state of her body at the
moment. It had to be so very painful, and she did nothing to
deserve such pain. "Alright Connie this stuff is going to stick,
and with the size of the wound going up your rib cage it's gonna
take me a little longer to clean it because it's seems to bed
the longest one. So here I go." Holding the rag in one hand and
the bottle in the other he flipped it upside down and let the
liquid soak into the rag. Once he had enough he placed the body
down on the night stand and moved a bit closer to her. So gently
he started to clean her wound. Starting from the bottle down and
started working his way up. He moved slow but he was making sure
he'd clean it out perfectly. It took him about five minutes. As
she started to speak again he smiled and listened to her.
Grabbing the needle and string he started closing up that wound
while she spoke to him. He nodded in agreement with her. "This
world is still such a beautiful place. It'd be even better if we
could stop all the violence going on." He looked up to her just
as the small smile pulled at her lips. This made him smile even
more, also feeling a most joyful warm feeling everywhere in the
room. Even his blade felt is feeling but said nothing to Volt.
"Well Connie, I think you should smile a bit more. Well at least
after these wounds heal. I know that smile could help out a lot
of people. Plus a smile looks better on you." He chuckled and
went back to stitching up the wound. He finally finished after
another five minutes. Cutting the left over string he sighed and
smiled. "One of the biggest ones down now for the rest." He got
to work on the rest taking him over an hour to clean and close
the wounds. She had to of hated him for working as slow as he
did, but he was making sure that'd she'd recover as fast as
possible. He finally finished with the last cut he had to stitch
up. He moved on to all the other little cuts that didn't needed
to be closed just cleaning them out. That didn't take him very
long at all. Finally for the bruises. Grabbing the cream he
started to rub the cream on each one letting it soak into the
skin. Unlike him cleaning her cuts, this didn't hurt. It felt
some what good, no pain at all. Going over all the bruises he
chuckled a bit and sighed softly with a smile. "I'm done! Sorry
it took so long, I just wanted to make sure I did everything as
perfectly as I could." Standing up he grabbed everything and
walked off only to come back with some clean clothes that would
keep her nice and warm.
Walking over to the bed and placing them besides her. "Sorry
they aren't nothing special but they'll keep you nice and warm."
Without her even asking he helped her put on the clothes so she
wouldn't open any of the wounds. "Sorry I'm not trying to treat
you like a child or anything. We just don't want those wounds
opening back up. Now I know you said that you'd be fine on the
floor or in a dresser. Well I'm not letting you do that. I don't
want you changing at all till your wounds heal unless you have
to." He grabbed a heavy blanket and placed it on the bed. "Your
using this bed, I don't mind honestly and it's better then the
hard cold floor. Your injuried we don't need you getting sick as
well. So lay back and get some sleep for a little. If you need
me I'll be here in the house. It's not big so just call my name
or look for me. It shouldn't be to hard." Walking back over to
the door he smiled. "Now please get some rest." He shut off the
lights and closed the door leaving it open just a crack.

There was a stagger in her breathing with every stitch,
but other than that, she seemed at ease. Listening as he spoke,
she didn't twitch or move at all. It had been beaten into her
not to move during getting stitched up. Well, not really beaten
but torn into her. Every time he had beaten her, then tried to
close up the wounds he caused so she wouldn't die, he would rip
out the stitches if she moved. Yet, this was different, he was
being so very careful with her wounds. Flinching back a bit when
he started to work on the ones on her face, she hadn't meant to
and a small frown ran her lips for just a moment. "Well... If
you'd let me.. I can help find the entrance and exit as well as
this place.. I can talk to some animals and non-human creatures,
see if they know where to find it.. I can't do anything special
to find it, but I can when it comes to finding a way to get in
and get out.. That's easy for me.. Came in handy a lot too."
When he spoke of her smiling more, she blinked a few times and
looked perplexed.
As though she had no idea what exactly had just happened.
Quirking a brow for a moment as he finished and was suddenly
getting her dressed. That was new, no one had ever helped her
even while she was wounded. She couldn't figure out what to say,
completely confused at this point. Why was it he was helping her
anyways? She still hadn't figured that out. Maybe he was just
kind? Though as his back turned and she was left puzzled and
unable to really process anything, she went wide eyed and
snatched at his hand, nearly falling on her face in the process.
"H-hey w-wai-wait a minute!" She muttered frantically, letting
out a sigh of relief that she had caught herself and kept her
stance. "I'm certainly not going to take your bed! You've
refrained judgment, you've taken care of my wounds, and you
didn't tell those people where I was hiding! I'd rather sleep in
a tree than take your bed, Mister Harbinger." She said as stern
as the grass was green.
"You've done so much to help me already.. Though you say you
don't need to sleep often, you need sleep nonetheless. It isn't
healthy for you to not sleep. I'm an animal, sleeping anywhere
is okay for me. I don't get sick unless I'm out in the rain,
which you've prevented." Connie was certainly set on this, with
a huff in her cheeks and a stern undefinable gaze, she scrunched
her nose slightly and had a look of absolute decision.

When she spoke of helping him find a way in and a way out he
smiled. Shaking his head slowly with a chuckle. "I thank you for
the help I really do. I'd allow you to help me find a way to get
there but I wouldn't let you come with me. I myself have seen
the Over World but I have never been there. It was ummm it was
kinda like a dream." He sat back in the chair and rubbed the
back of his head. "You see you could call me a vessel Connie. I
can tap into the abilities of one of the creatures in the Over
World. I use his abilities to long and I become that beast. You
see if I find a way into the Over World I won't be coming back
out. I'll go to get my friend out of there but I will stay and I
will die there. Once you become a vessel for a being from the
Over World you remian as that vessel. I'd rather not but this
world in danger by staying here longer then I should." He looked
down at his feet frowning a bit. His frown soon turned to a
smile as he looked up at her. "Until that time though I can try
and change this world for the better. I can try and bring peace
back to the people." His voice was very cheerful and filled with
joy. Everything he had just told her was the truth. His main
goal was to set his friend free from the Over World. Getting
back out of the Over World was not going to happen. He wanted to
stay and die because this world would be safer without him he
thought.
Before he could get out of the room he felt himself being pulled
back slightly. He looked back only to see her grabbing his hand.
He smiled and moved his attention to her as she spoke. He
chuckled a bit more and sat down next to her in the bed. He
closed his eyes and lifted his shoulder sighing out and lowering
them as he sighed. "Tonight please stay here in the bed. It's
comfortable, I'd feel horrible if you slept on the floor. Plus I
am not tired and I have things to do. Besides I have a couch in
the house as well and most of the time I end up falling alseep
there anyways." Looking over at Connie with a cheerful smile he
continued to speak to her. "It's really no problem at all. Oh
and please Connie you can call me Volt. Mister Harbinger? You
make it sound as if I'm some one of great importance. That's not
me plus Volt sounds a lot better then Mister Harbinger. It also
makes me sound kinda old." Volt laughed a little bit looking
over at Connie.
He patted her head very gently and tilted his head a little.
"Your so adorable right now. Like a little kitten it's so hard
not smile. Really though Connie is there anything I can do so
that'd you sleep here in this bed for tonight. Tomorrow night
I'll throw something really comfortable together for you to
sleep on. Your a guest in my home you should get the bed.
Besides I bet as soon as you lay your head down on that pillow
you'll be out like a light sleeping so peacefully." His tone was
gentle mixed with some joy now.

It was strange, but as he spoke and she listened, anger
bubbled up. Not the kind of anger that would be bad, but more so
a caring anger. When he finished, blond locks had shadowed orbs
and she seemed to be gritting her teeth. Fingers tightened and
she cocked her arm back, swiftly landing a smack across his
cheek. "What's the point of saving her if you're just going to
let yourself die!? What's the point of thinking like that?!
Don't you think that she'd want you to stay!? What kind of moron
are you?! Saving her then leaving her like that! You'd be
abandoning her!! And to sit there and say such a thing! To say
that this world is in danger!! That's complete and utter
nonsense! Complete bullshit!" Yelling these words in a strained
voice, her eyes welled with tears that stung the wounds on her
face as she gritted her teeth tighter than before. "You're an
idiot to believe such a thing! Vessel or not, you've done more
than anyone I know damnit! And in just a short time too! Do you
think that by leaving you'd be doing this world a favor?! No!
You'd be ridding this world of one person that actually gives a
damn!"
It was at this point that she stared at him with those angry,
tear pooled, orbs. Her lips curled into a frown as she snatched
up the collar of his shirt and pulled him closer to her. "I may
not be in the best condition, but I will not hesitate to punch
you in the mouth if you ever say such things about yourself
again! Jasmine has been there for how long now, Volt?! Do you
really think she wants to be alone? Do you really think... That
she would just let you vanish like that after freeing her? I
certainly don't think so... Selfish is what you are if you
believe that bundle of crap. There's always a solution, you may
not realize it right then, but there's always an answer to
everything. Not everything is what it seems and you never know
if there's a way out of being this vessel if you don't exactly
try to figure it out. There are secrets in this world that no
one knows about. That no one could ever begin to believe.. Ones
that humans and creatures alike have not created, but have been
manifested by the goddesses and gods of this unity. So don't you
dare, ever say that shit again."
Releasing him, she flinched back and sat back down, her hands
clenching fabric in dainty phalanges. "The past isn't of the
present and it shouldn't be. Remember, the future's just a few
heartbeats away and in this, you should look to tomorrow but
never to yesterday. Humans are just congregations of memories,
that's what humans are. Their anatomical structure relies on
their brain's rate of growth and in this, their memories are
basis for their growth. They never forget truly, but they don't
have to remember if they don't want to. Don't remember the
things you've done wrong, remember the lessons taught by them
and remember the changes you want to make." She muttered,
looking off to the side. "I'll sleep on the bed... But only if
you promise to come in here and sleep on the bed too. You're not
sleeping on the couch or on the floor or anywhere else. If you
do, I'll never forgive you and I'll kick you in the shin
tomorrow."
She finished what she was saying and looked to him with that
stoic blank face. "If you ever die without good reason.. I'll
bring you back and kill you a million times over until you've
learned that leaving someone like that is extremely selfish and
uncalled for. That's not a promise, it's a guarantee." She said
sternly, frowning slightly. "Plus, your blade would have no one
to carry her. So you'd be abandoning more than one person..
Don't be stupid, Volt. Be keen." Looking back down and to the
side, she didn't say anything else.

Volts eyes shot wide open after feeling himself get slapped
right across the face. He stared into space as she started to
speak to him. It seemed like it took him a life time to notice
that he just had been slapped across the face. Looking over at
her giving her his full attention as she spoke to him. Seeing
her yell at him made him smile a little. The reason he was
smiling was because his war buddy the female he fought along
side with in the war did the same thing when he told her of his
plan. Only she punched him over and over. Breaking his nose,
giving him two black eyes, a few cracked and broken ribs. There
was only one problem here. He couldn't remember her name for the
life of him. Hell for some reason he couldn't remember who's
side he was on during the war. He couldn't remember his leaders
name nor could he remember the name of the fighters he fought
with in the war. He couldn't remember who they were fighting as
well. This was all so strange and puzzling to him. Why was this
happening? Connie slapping him and yelling him seemed to start a
chain reaction of things he couldn't remember. Thinking back
even deeper into the past he tried to remember his parents or
any family memebers at all. He got nothing. He couldn't remember
back that far. The last thing he remembers was standing at
Jasmines grave stone a year back and then ending up here meeting
Connie. What the hell was going on?
There was a great look of worry and puzzle on Volts face and in
his eyes. He snapped out of it as she gripped his collar and
pulled him closer to her. He looked into her eyes and listened
to her closely. All of this was so strange to him what he could
and couldn't remember. He could remember he was looking for
Jasmine but who was she? He couldn't remeber what she looked
like. Only her name and what she sounded like he could recall.
It was so hard for him to pay attention to her but he still did.
Some things she said to him went in one ear and out the other
and others soaked into his mind. Even after she released him and
stopped speaking to him he sat back on the bed and sighed. He
was speechless at the moment. For the longest time he couldn't
think of anything to say. Finally he started to speak. He looked
over at Connie with a worried look on his face. "I need to go to
her grave stone, and I need to find the person I fought along
side with in the war. I'm...I'm having troubles remembering
things. I'm glad I met you today Connie. Without you I would
have never noticed this I'm sure of it." He rubbed his forehead
starting to get a slight headache. He wanted to know what was
going on. The best way to do that was to find the female whos
name he couldn't remember.
Volt looked over at Connie again and placed his hand on her
shoulder. "Thanks." He said cheerfully with his eyes closed and
smile on his face. "I'll sleep here tonight as well. I will be
getting up early tomorrow though and leaving right away. I have
places I must travel to. You may stay here in my home if you
wish or come with me. There's a lot of anwsers I need to get and
I'm not gonna find them sitting here. I think you should come
with me though. It'd be in your best interest. For one I must
watch your wounds and see how the heal and two if you come
you'll be able to see the world Connie!" He said out loud and
cheerfully a smile on his face. One thing he didn't bother
telling her was whether or not he was still going to try and go
through with his goal saving Jasmine and staying in the Over
World or not. "Well let's hit the bed now my friend we have a
lot to do tomorrow. Friend? I like that. What do you say Connie,
we friends?" He asked her with a chuckle. He was...so strange
but not in a bad way.

Silence, it made nothing of noise but startled the air.
Did she accidentally hurt him? Sorrow could be seen playing
across her face broadly as she stared down at her side. Though
as he spoke, she listened keenly. With the sudden change in
expression and tone, she slowly got up and didn't speak at all.
Her hand reached out and fingertips lightly tangled in the cloth
that wrapped his arm. She looked sadder than ever before.
"Stop.. Don't be fickle about what you plan on doing, because in
the end of it.. I refuse to leave and I'll kick you in the shin
repeatedly if you try to stay there. My wounds will heal, your's
will too.. Physical or not.. Wounds are wounds, and they all
heal.. Your wounded memory will heal and come back to the way it
should be.." Looking down at him with an expression that would
break the heart of even the most stern person. "Both Jasmines
would miss you if you left.. I'd miss you if you left like
that.."
With that, crawled into the bed carefully and laid down. Connie
looked like a fragile doll that had been broken many times over
and put back together messily. Lashes half way covered
indescribable orbs as she stared at him. "Friends? Of course,
Volt. Yet even as friends, I'll still kick you." She warned, yet
even then, a smile formed. It was larger than the last and with
that came yet another shower of warmth. Yet something else odd
happened. Instead of just that joy and happiness that sprang
forth, her smile brought an awe inspiring tranquility and
serenity. Colors seemed more vivid to the eyes and the sweet
smell of passion fruit and mulberries came to life. Her smile
ended and she let her eyes slip closed. "I'll show you..
Tomorrow.. What I can do to help.. I'll be fine then.." She
mumbled, starting to fall asleep at that moment. "I wont give up
on keeping you around..."

He now had his mind set on fixing his memory along with his goal
to find and save Jasmine. He wanted to know what was happening
to him. Maybe he could figure out how to enter the Over World
leaving the being inside of him there and returning to this
world. He smirked a bit thinking to himself. Volt had a lot he
needed to do before going to the Over World. If he would have
found a way now he would of never gotten his memory right. Now
he'd have that chance thanks to Connie. Snapping out of his
thoughts he looked up at Connie feeling her grab his arm. He
listened to her as she spoke to her. Giving her eye contact
taking in her words. They only had just met and she said she'd
miss him if he just left. All he did was simply nod to her.
Volts heart was set on what he wanted to do and it was gonna
take a LOT to change it. It wasn't something that was gonna
change within five minutes of talking. Hell his friend beat the
shit out of him and he still had his mind set on this. It's true
it honestly would be for the greater good to leave himself
trapped in the Over World with the being. He'd be saving
thousands of people if the being ever wanted to turn on Volt and
take over his body. It could do that right now this second if it
wanted to. For right now though Volt had a good enough hold on
himself and his will power that he wouldn't let it take over.
Through out the years though it has gotten harder and harder for
him to do that. It was like a poison was slowly killing him.
Watching her crawl into bed and under the covers he smiled at
her. "Don't worry Connie I'll still be around for a while, I
promise." A while he said nothing about staying around for good.
He didn't wanna make up lies. What if something did happened to
him, what if he really went through with his goal. Saying he'd
be around for good would of meant he lied to her and he didn't
wanna do that. He smiled even more hearing they were friends. He
liked that feeling of friend ship. Her smile again did something
strange but in a good way. It seemed every time this girl would
smile something good would happen or at least you'd be able to
feel something wonderful and see things in a different way. He
wanted her always smiling, like he said a while ago a smile fits
her better anyways. Volt simply nodded to her as she spoke to
him. "Okay Connie, you get a good nights sleep." He got up
removing his jacket from his shoulders and laying it on a desk.
He turned off the lights as well. He said he was going to sleep
in the bed with her and thats what he was gonna do. Slowly he
crawled in next to her and pulled some covers up over himself
and closed his eyes.

If there was anything more stubborn than a mule, it was
Connie. For years she had refused to die, she had refused to
give up, and she had refused to see the world as a horrible
place. Even after all that had been done to her, she would
always see the world as something beautiful. If he thought she'd
allow him to leave without good reason, he certainly had another
thing coming. Even if it took her forever, she'd do something to
save him, he saved her after all. Connie laid there in silence,
knowing that he had only promised a while, which was short for
her. No one really realized it, but her perception of time was
far different than humans was. Animals lives weren't shorter
than humans, they were longer. It was the time that was
different. As she laid there, so silent and still, her days
passed like minutes. It only took a few hours for her body to
remove the stitches and simply let them sit atop the newly
scarred skin.
Slowly, she began to wake up, feeling much better. She also
looked slightly different. As though she had aged by a year in
the few hours she had been asleep. Looking around tiredly, she
didn't realize where she was at first or who was sleeping beside
her. Leaning down, she got a closer look at Volt's face before
she remembered and smiled a bit, straightening up and quietly
slipping out of bed. Blond locks trailed down to her hips now
and her body was different, her flesh scarred and more freckles
had appeared across the line of her nose and cheeks. Stretching,
she looked around once more before she slipped out of the house.
Taking in the night, it hadn't even turned morning yet, she took
in a deep breath before she shifted into that of a wolfen
creature. Paws scattered the ground as her nose picked up
different scents. It was nice, not being in pain and being able
to run freely for the moment.
It didn't take her long to get to the river she was aiming for,
her body leaping forward and diving into the calm water. The
cool water felt nice as she shifted back and swam around. "I
wonder, if he realizes how our time differs." She muttered to
herself, looking up at the sky as she simply floated there. It
was about time she cleaned herself up though, with blood matted
in her hair and wanting to rid herself of the dirt and blood as
well as the stitches that were stuck to the top of her flesh.
Once she had done all of this, she climbed to the banks and rang
her hair out. "I'm not even sure if he'd recognize me now." She
shrugged a bit and let her hair drape over her body. Sighing
just a bit, undefined orbs looked at everything as she shifted
once more and began to run back. Letting herself be dried by the
winds and quick pace, she came back to the house and scooped the
clothing up in her maw that she had left behind before going
back into the house.
Padding down the hall quietly, she draped the clothing on the
couch and started back to the room. It'd be dawn soon, so she
decided not to do anything. He'd be awake at some point and
she'd rather remain in a non-humanistic form for the time being.
Considering he wouldn't recognize her otherwise. Even her fur
was longer and thicker as she gently crawled into the bed
beneath the covers and laid down beside him once more. Resting
her head on her paws, she quietly thought to herself as she
closed undefined orbs. She'd show him what she could do today to
help him out. There were things she couldn't explain, but more
that she could do to help. As her maw opened wide and she let
out a yawn, she let her ears fold back as she laid there in
peace.

As Volt slept he started to dream but it wasn't just any dream.
He was being pulled into the Over World. Volt never really
slept, when ever he did sleep his mind was just being pulled
into the Over World. Looking around he sighed shaking his head.
"Damn it, here again." The over world was filled with dull
colors. Both a sun and moon in the sky and both of the black.
The clouds seemed to move at millions of miles an hour. Black
puddles of oil everywere as they dripped up into the sky. Echos
and whispers could be heard every single second. Dead plants and
trees everywhere and dried up lakes and oceans. "Votly!!!!" A
women shouted his name at the top of herlungs. He looked over
his shoulder and rolled his eyes. "Oh boy." His tone was now
annoyed as he looked back forward looking into space. The women
walking right up behind Volt looking down at him. Her skin a
blueish grey color and her eyes a dark but shining green color.
She wore a big beautiful black dress with a bit of white thrown
in. Finally her hair was long mixing with two colors black and
blue. "Awwww isn't the little boy happy to see me? Awww that
makes me so sad honey!" Volt looked back and up at her with an
annoyed face. "Why would I be happy to see anyone here? Besides
Jasmine of course. Though out of all the beings here you are by
far the most harmless. Well so far you have." The female giggles
and patted Volts head. "Be careful what you say Volty, I am the
Mistress of spiders. I might just eat you up." Her voice was so
cheery and happy. She was the only one here that never gave Volt
or her vessel any problems.
Volt sighed looking out into the distance The Mistress of
Spiders now sitting next to him. "Find a way into this realm for
me yet, besides dreaming?" She shook her head slowly and sighed
herself. "Nope I'm afraid I haven't dear. Like I've told you
many times before it's impossible...well I think it is." Volt
sighed again looking over at her now. "Hear anything about
Jasmine yet? Where she is or if she's even alive?" Again she
sighed and shook her head with a frown on her face. "I'm sorry
but I haven't. You know how this place is, nothing is ever
right." Volt said nothing as he sat there with her. Looking
around with a puzzle look on his face. "Normally when I come
here I run into you and the being in side me. So where is the
winged freak I wonder?" The Mistress of Spiders shrugged looking
up into the sky. She giggled a little. "I haven't seen him in
ages to be honest but he's around. Everyone here would of felt
him leave this world or die if he wasn't here. You need not worry
sweetie." Volt looked over at her glaring a bit. Why was she
always so nice to him. Never once did she try to attack him or
bring him harm. "What's wrong with you? I'm surprised you
haven't tried to eat me or something. You are the Mistress of
Spiders Correct." She laughed out and nodded. "I am but see your
body isn't here there for I cannot kill you plus your fun to be
around. So if even you were here with your body I'd let you
live. If I felt like it, now I wouldn't stop others from killing
you." Volt listened to her and nodded a bit resting his arms on
his knees then his chin on his arms. "Oh I see."
Volt started to slowly fade away within a few hours. Him and the
Mistress talked on and off the whole time. Once she saw him
begin to fade she giggled and stood up. "Well dear looks like
some one is waking up. See you soon and stay safe. If anyone's
gonna kill you off it's gonna be me. Your soul and body seems
like it'd be a good meal. Again that's if I felt like it." Volt
waved his hand back at her. "Yeah yeah, see you around. Take
care of yourself Mistress." She smirked a bit and crossed her
arms over her chest. "Awww am I your Mistress now." Volt looked
back at her annoyed a bit. "Saying Mistress is shorter then
Mistress of Spiders. So no your not my Mistress....weirdo." She
burst out laughing. She honestly loved being around Volt. He
showed no fear around her. He treated her like a friend in a
way. She pouted a little hearing him. "Aww but if I was your
Mistress you'd get this." She grabbed her own breast and moved
them up and down over and over not taking them out of her dress
though. He raised his eye borws then rolled his eyes. "Your
really a freak you know that? I'm sorry but Mistress of
Spiders?" He shivers a bit fading more and more now. "That's
kinda turn off. The eight legged freaks creep me out." She burst
out laughing even more now. She loved this guys company so much.
She talked of killing him and feasting upon his body and soul,
but he was one person she thought she couldn't really do that
to. "Goodbye dear, I'll keeping looking for Jasmine and a way in
for you." Volt smiled and nodded to her. "Thank you." He said to
her right before disappearing from the Over World.
Volt eyes opened and he sat up in bed. He shook his head to wake
himself up a little bit. "What a freak, but she's my only ally
there." Volt said out loud only to hear his blade whispering to
him. He nodded looking over at his blade now. "Yeah it was her
again. The Mistress of Spides. You know as weird as she is, and
as annoying she can be. She's my only ally and friend in the
Over World, that is if I ever get there." His blade started
whispering to him a bit more. He smiled and nodded. "She says
she will but I don't think she's serious." He chuckled and
looked over at Connie only to find a wolf. His eyes shot opened
and he jumped out of bed quickly reaching for his blade. Quickly
his blade started to whisper to him. Connie had been with him
enough now that when his blade whispered she could make out his
name and her name. Right now she could hear the blade whispering
something and it had Connie's name in it. Volt stopped and
looked back over at Connie. "Oh yeah I suppose that could be
Connie. Oops. I scared myself there a little. Sorry Connie." He
said shyly as he rubbed the back of his head. Quickly he looked
down at his blade and glared at it. "Don't laugh at me!!!" He
rolled his eyes and looked at Connie again. He smiled a bit and
walked over to the bed. He sat down and patted her head gently.
"Well what is it you wanted to say me. Quickly because I wanna
get on the move here soon."

He seemed at peace in his sleep, that brought her at
ease. Most of the people who abused her never could sleep good
enough. Karma certainly was a fickle mistress. Her ears perked
up the moment he jolted from the bed and she instantly shifted
back and hid. Her arms over her head and her eyes clenched shut.
"I'M SORRY I DIDN'T MEANT TO PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" Reaction,
her heart was jolting out of her chest and she couldn't stop
shaking. The drawing of the blade at her caused her to flip out
and nearly go into shock. Had she scared him? When he apologized
and calmed down, she slumped into the bed, catching the breath
that she had lost holding it. She sat back up, running her
fingers through her hair as she sighed deeply. "My word, Volt..
I didn't mean to scare you! Plus, if a wolf is laying in your
bed, don't you think that it wouldn't hurt you if it's simply
laying there? It could've eaten you already but it didn't."
She muttered this with a slight unease to the tone. Sighing
deeply, she stretched and looked over at him with a perplexed
look. "Erm.. What's laughing?" She asked, absolutely oblivious
to the action it's self. Though she was aware that it was
something that humans did out of joy, she had never done it
herself. Connie was apparently very different than she was last
night. No wounds, just scars and memories. Her hair had
lengthened to her hips and her frame had changed as well. As she
crawled out of the bed, she ran her fingers through her hair to
release the tangles in them. She was about two inches taller,
standing at a simple five foot six now, her waist was thinner
but better strengthened. She looked as though she could take
someone on at this point. As though those scars were the only
thing left of the abuse she suffered. Slender limbs shifted
slightly and she allowed her hair to scour and cover her chest.
Even that had grown.
"It's been a year and you're worried of time?" She asked,
curiously before she remembered that Volt experienced time
differently than she did. "Sorry.. I forgot. My time goes by
differently than yours. To you, it's just been a couple of
hours. For me, it's been nearly a year." She yawned lightly and
rolled her shoulders in a light shrug, trailing out of the room.
"Well c'mon then." She said, not even caring of her current look
as she went outside. Blond locks had darkened slightly as she
looked up at the colored sky. Placing her hands on her hips, she
let out a slow breath. It was at that moment that undefined orbs
changed and her pupils slitted. The whites of her eyes vanished
beneath the strange 'color' that couldn't be specified. Swiftly,
she let out a loud whistle and with that sound came the return
of coos and caws. Birds filtered into the skies and then a
variety of animals peeked out from their surroundings to look at
her.
Though that wasn't all she did, twisting dainty looking
phalanges, threads of sorts came and surfaced from her flesh as
they appeared to be a sort of metal. They shrouded her flesh and
seemed to stitch clothing for herself. She couldn't have done
this before, she was far too weak. Soon enough, she held out her
hand as they shifted and manifested a blade of sorts. Though it
was thinner than most in thickness and longer than most in
length, it resembled a katana of sorts but was much more
different. Her clothing changed colors and soon she was shrouded
in a simple red tank top and white shorts. Her blade's sheath
resting on her right him where she put the sword in it's home.
Breathing in deeply, she exhaled it and the bands that normally
rested on her bicep and thigh returned, one of silver, one of
ebony blue, and one of green. One formed around her wrist of
crimson coloring and she turned to look at him.
"I don't really know what I am, but I do know that I can defend
myself as well as you. I never had someone or anything worth
fighting for, but now I've got a friend. If needed, I can make
an animal speak your tongue. Meaning if any of the animals know
anything, they can tell you themselves if you wish it to be so.
Keep those tears that I gave you close.. Encase Jasmine is
injured or something when we find her.. I can't cry on command.
In essence, those tears are like a phoenix's.. But more potent..
They contain something that can call the soul back from
purgatory to a rejuvenated body. My blood is oddly colored and
can bring beauty to anything.. It can also calm, and change
things.. Meaning if I were to come across someone that had a
mental break, and I were to simply splash some of my blood on
them, it's like a cure for that. It returns the person back to
their natural identity. Which is why it never worked on Shinu.
He was naturally like that."
Looking up to the sky once more, she sighed a bit. "Things will
be more difficult and easier with me around you, Volt. Difficult
because there will be a lot of people after me and a lot of
things that will happen to me. Easy because I can lend you a
hand in what you want to do and other things. Are you honestly
prepared to deal with the hardships that will come flying at you
with a fury by being around me? If not, then I'll leave, but
I'll help you from far far away.."
