Frost covered the plains as a cool wind whipped across the
valley. A small stand of evergreen trees offered some shelter
from the wind but not the autumn chill. Underneath one of the
trees, a very tall young woman stood alone, arms folded across
her chest as she stared out at the gold fields laced with white.
She appeared to be about seventeen, but really she was much
older than that. Hundreds of years older to be precise, although
she usually didn't say so. Jet black hair cascaded down her
shoulders to her waist, causing her pale skin to stand out in
great contrast, and ice blue eyes shimmered like a kaleidescope.
The woman wore a loose black tunic that stretched down to her
mid thigh and tight black pants that tapered out a bit at her
ankles.
The woman shifted her weight as her bare feet began to prickle
with from standing for hours in the cold and staring out over
the plains. Of course she didn't mind the cold. It was heat she
couldn't stand. She nearly became sick just thinking about hot
weather. Finally she decided that she had stood in one spot for
long enough and began to walk away from the trees and out into
the open valley. The frozen grass made little sound as she
glided through it. From time to time she would see a deer or two
out grazing, but other than that nothing else moved. She ran a
hand through her hair, sighing.

A young girl with lavender hair walked bare footed along a small
path. Even though she could change her body to adapt to the cold
climates snow, she decided against it. she loved warm weather,
the blaring sun against her skin. Even though she was chalk
white pale that would not show she loved the sun. She did wear a
fur like robe made from the finest and warmest fur her body
could produce. Under the large cloak she wore a tight black top
with no sleeves and tight black pants that belled at the bottom
to drag on the ground. Not wanting to feel the cold sting of the
snow she had her feet heating melting the snow under her feet to
allow the grass under to show.
She noticed a young women walking away from the tree line. It
was odd for someone to be out in this cold with out warmer
cloths on but it seemed as she wore light clothing. Not feeling
the need to hide herself from the ethereal women, she simply
continued walking to see if the women was friendly.

The woman stared at the ground as she travelled, watching the
breeze knock the blades of grass to and fro. Glancing up, she
spotted the girl walking toward her general direction. Could
this girl even see her? Some people could and some couldn't. It
was one of those wierd things she never quite understood in all
her years of existing. The woman wondered if she should make an
attempt to speak to her or just continue on silently. As she
drew closer, she noticed that the snow around the girls feet was
melting as she walked. "Maybe she's different like me," the
woman thought and decided to try to speak to her and be polite
at least in case she actually could see her.
"Hello there," her voice spilled out softly, almost musically.
She folded her arms loosely across her chest again, having
nothing else to do with them. "What brings you to this area?" It
was odd to see another being here after so long.

Her eyes turned to the young female who spoke. She couldnt help
a small smile pulling at the edges of her mouth as her golden
eyes stared at the female. When she asked her a question about
why she was here , she stilled for a moment. She did not know
why she was here having chosen to stay far away from Ice
claimants. Something had pulled her this way be it the wind or
the earth. She looked up the sky to see large clods blocking the
sun light. With a small sigh she looked back at the female with
a large smile.
"I do not know. My feet carried me here and I followed" She
replied her voice having undertones of wind chimes.
She could see a few deer grazing but not enough to tell her that
this place was thriving. It was empty leaving only a few live
stock. She looked around at all the frost covered ground with a
frown. She hoped it doesn't snow.

The winds had died down dramatically as they stood there in the
valley. Following the path of the other girls eyes, she looked
up toward the cloud covered sky and sensed the girl's worry. She
guessed that the girl didn't like the cold from the furs that
she wore and the way the ice melted away at her feet, completely
opposite from her own attire, which was more suited for
spring-like weather. This also made her wonder how on earth
someone who didn't enjoy cold weather could find themselves so
far north where even the autumns were frozen. Hearing the girl's
response, she tilted her head to the side.
"Hmm...," she mused, eyes shimmering to a deeper color blue.
"How interesting."
As she spoke, the clouds thinned out a bit, letting some, but
not quite all of the sun show through. Quite enjoying the sound
of the girl's voice, she asked another question hoping to hear
more of it.
"So, where do you come from, uh...," she trailed off, not
knowing what to call the girl. She nervously tucked an ebony
strand of hair behind her ear. "Oh forgive my horrible manners.
I'm asking all these questions, and I haven't even introduced
myself properly. It's been so long since I've spoken with
another being." She placed a hand over chest as she spoke. "I am
Sera Anjerona. Pleasure to meet you." Bowing slightly at that
last part, she smiled to the girl, and her eyes took on a
greenish hue.
(Sorry it took so long. Totally fell asleep last night)

Hearing the young women introduce herself, she fully turned to
look at Sera. She let the cloak open to show her inner cloths as
she thought about how to introduce herself. Her name was many
things but she thought of a way to shorten it to one name.
"Hello Sera Anjerona, My name is simply Ruin. I come from the
west deep in the parts of the dark forest Alljaya. It is around
a few days or so from here. But as I said before I go where the
wind takes me. So I am not really at home much anymore. What are
you doing out in this deserted place?" She replied bowing
respectfully to the other women.
She stood to look up at the sky to see the clouds where slowly
clearing making her smile. At least it was not going to snow on
her. She would of token her other form to keep warm. Though
showing herself to another female could be odd. She turned her
deep purple eyes on Sera as a sliver ring showed up around her
pupil. The female was not a human that was for sure. Her aura
had many strings of different color making it hard for her to
place exactly what the female was.
(Sorry about taking so long. I have been busy. Tomorrow I might
not be able to reply till Monday. My friend is moving so I will
be helping him out.)

"Ruin, huh?" Sera mused. "So dreary, yet so...delightful. I like
it." She smiled politely. "I don't think I've ever been to that
place before. I tend to stick to cooler climates." Her eyes
reverted back to their original ice-blue color as she noticed
Ruin's eyes also changing. Taking a moment to answer the
question, Sera began to study the other being closely. She
wasn't sure what she was exactly, but she could tell Ruin was
different from any other being she had conversed with.
"I understand how that goes. I...I'm not really sure. I don't
really have a place to call home, so I tend to wander wherever
my feet take me, and this is where I've been for...a while. And
I've come to like habitats like this one," she responded
tentatively, not really sure just how much she wanted to tell
this stranger yet. After all, it's not like it would benefit her
to know. Sera followed Ruin's gaze upward to the clearing sky,
sensing her thoughts. "It's too early in the season to snow
here. If it were going to, I wouldn't be here for long anyway.
Winters this far north are harsh, even for a cold-lover like
me." She laughed.
Sera glanced around the field, taking note that more creatures
were beginning to stir. Turning back to Ruin, she spoke once
more. "Would you like to move somewhere else more comfortable
for you? Or would you rather stay out in the open for a while?"

Ruin lowered her head letting a small smile pull at the corners
of her mouth. Sera was really not human, far from being human
actually. The smell of something odd kept wafting into her nose
pulling on the strings of her memory as if she had smelled it
once before. She had never met the women before that she was
sure of but she could of met someone like her. She could have
wondered close to a place she had visited but it would be to
coincidental.
"I do not mind where I am going be it comfortable or not. I can
adapt to what ever weather is thrown at me. A warmer clement is
far from here so I will have to deal with the cold. Sera, what
kind of places have you visited??" Ruin asked as she walked on
past Sera into the forest as to not disturb the animals coming
out into the opening.
