With a chuckle, when she asked if he was old enough, he slipped
his hand into his inside pocket and withdrew his wallet. When he
opened the red and black duct-tape folder which housed his paper
money and various cards, John smiled to the woman who was so
courteous as to bring the requested drink as he drew a $5 from
the fold and placed it lightly on her side of the counter. "Yes
ma'am. Twenty six as of yesterday. Thank you, for the drink, by
the way. What's a woman like you doing in a place like this
anyway? It doesn't seem fitting, what's your name, by the way?"
Hearing someone walk in and sit down, calling to her, John
offered nothing more than a glance at the other person at the
bar. 'Wonder what this guy's deal is. Seems a bit arrogant to
me.' He thought to himself as he took the bottle in hand and
pushed the lime down until it released a satisfying fizz from
mixing with the pale contents of the bottle. It seemed the new
guy and the bartender had some sort of history, something that
didn't really concern John; much like the sort of car one drove.
With a shrug, John simply lifted the bottle to his lips and
allowed some of the golden brown liquid to pour in before
placing it back down on the counter. 'Hmm.. think I like this
place. It seems cozy. A perfect area for me to move to at some
point..' But, while his thoughts randomly shot about, the man
smelt the other's cologne and inwardly cringed in disgust at the
smell; his sinuses being entirely too sensitive; though he
showed no outward signs of disgust. "A cozy place, with a lively
bartender. I like it. Comforting."

"Well, it is a nice view back here." He said with a laugh as she
turned around. When she teased him about still knowing where
the place was, he waved her off. "I actually got lost twice on
the way here!" He lied. It had been just over a week since he
last visited her at work, after all.
"It's been rough." He said with a heavy sigh. "Sorry I haven't
been able to catch you. It's just been hectic. I figured it'd be
better if I just stopped by." When she offered him a drink, he
nodded his head. He hadn't planned on staying long, or drinking,
but now that she mentioned it, a drink sounded amazing! "Give me
whatever you feel like making." He said. he heard the guy a few
stools over mumble something about enjoying the place. He didn't
respond verbally, but he nodded his head slightly, most likely
to go unnoticed. It was a relaxing environment, though one he
didn't visit often.

Monae walked back toward the liquor of her choice for Andres'
drink. Something sweet but cool, basically a her in alcoholic
beverage. The silent man seemed to say something to her that
made her stop for just a moment. "Name's Andromeda, but most
people call me Andro. And a place like this has taken me in like
a family and it pays all the bills. Quite a cozy and fun place
when it's dead, a rushed fun place when I have more than 4
people in here." Quickly changing out the man's $5 and placing
the change back on the bar top, she leans in front of him for a
second, though unintentionally she showed a deeper look into her
already exposed cleavage. "What's your story? Beginning with
your name of course."
The woman turned around for just a moment to grab a few bottles
of her favorite vodka and some juice from the fridge before
quickly pulling out a special shaker that she invented. The
woman placed a small amount of ice in to the outer portion of
the shaker and poured the liquor into the inner portion without
any ice. Giving it about a 30 second shake, Monae pours the
drinks into a tall yet slender glass and places in front of
Andres with a smile. "Well, learn to navigate your way down here
then! Just kidding, I'm sorry that things haven't been as
amazing as we expected college and career hood to be. I think
this would be a great drink for you tonight, just know that
there's a limit of three of these." Monae winked at him for a
second before standing between the two men at her bar.

When she came back, noticing her actions, he smiled and listened
as she took the bill and began to speak. "Andromeda. A beautiful
name that fits it's owner, if you don't mind my saying." He
chuckled softly, taking in what she'd said; noticing the way she
was leaning as he made certain to avoid gazing into the tempting
chasm that was her cleavage. Retaking the change from the $5, he
smiled again as he put the change away. "My story? Sure. My
name's John. A college student trying to decide what he wants
once he's finished. Perhaps a partner in crime, if I can find
one, as well."
Then, glancing at the other man and back to her, he nodded.
"You're right, about the coziness of this place. I like it. It's
comforting." In truth, he was uncertain as to where he'd be
spending a night much less what he'd do once out of college. "I
have to admit, though, I wasn't expecting too great of an
atmosphere, but I've been pleasantly surprised." He paused for a
moment, taking a sip of the corona before speaking again. "So,
what do you do for fun?"

Andres took a sip of his drink as Monae introduced herself. He
knew she typically went by her middle name. It was where his
nickname for her came from. But he hated the shortened version
of it that she went by. It took away from the beauty of her
name. He let out a quick cough after tasting it. "What's in this
cup Android?" he asked. It was strong. But that didn't stop him
from taking from the cup once more.
He had to give it to her. She had a way with the customers. That
was no surprising though. She had always been charming; Always
been good at making friends, unlike Andres. The guy she was
entertaining now seemed interesting. In a way he reminded Andres
of Monae. But Andres knew better than to interfere with her and
her customers, so he simply continued to drink from his cup. Man
this stuff was strong! But after the day he had, he didn't mind
at all! He downed the thing in a matter of ten minutes or so.
"How about another, Little Dipper?"

"A partner in crime is hard to find John. A quick night fling is
always easier to find on the weekend when there's more college
students here." Monae looked over to Andres as he whined about
the strength of her drink with a glare for a moment before
returning her attention to John.
"I play with my cat. School and work all day makes me a dull
dull girl. Though I love my crazy life and I honestly wouldn't
change it for the world. I guess that's why I'm studying to go
into a field that changes with the changing tide and drags me
half way across the world." The woman shrugged softly to herself
before looking around once more. Would she really give all this
up for an even more hectic work schedule? Yes, the money would
be better but that would give her long stints away from her
loved ones.
Andres' voice catches her attention through her off gazed fog.
"If you are just going to bring out every nickname you have for
me already. I don't think you will need another one." The woman
quickly mixed another drink before setting it on the bar in
front of him. "If you plan on getting behind the wheel of the
cute little car of yours, you are not allowed to drink this. If
you are going to stay the night at my apartment and not complain
about my lovey kitty hates you again, you may drink this one but
I will need your car keys just to make sure that you cannot take
off during the middle of the night."
The woman returns to standing between the two men as her gaze
flows over to the clock. Half way to closing time and the only
ones left in the bar seemed to be the two men as customers and
the three workers including herself. She knew they were ready to
go home but what kind of bar reputation would they gain if they
threw out customers just because it was a slow night and they
were ready to go home?

Nodding to the woman, John couldn't help but chuckle and tilt
his head as he listened to her. When she spoke of her cat, and
school and work making her a dull girl, he smiled; amused by the
fact. When she spoke of going with the tides, he nodded again.
"That sounds pretty interesting. I've always been kind've
interested in building and flying vehicle. Just never really
knew why." Then, thinking for a moment, he took another sip of
his drink before speaking again. "Depending on when you get off
work, maybe we can go get a bite to eat or something and talk
more."
The other guy the woman was entertaining seemed a bit
interesting, and he could tell the two had some sort of previous
relationship but he shrugged it off. The guy reminded him of the
corona he drank, in a way that confused John, but it didn't
matter all that much. "It would maybe help you rid yourself of
any boredom you may have." The man offered, eyes glimmering
slightly as he enjoyed the drink.

Andres released a half scoff when the woman rebutted him. "I
only have one nickname for you." he said in return. "You're the
one who decided to start going by Android in High School. I told
you it was dumb then." He nursed his drink as he spoke, watching
as Monae managed to work the counter while simultaneously
holding two conversations. It was a skill he definitely didn't
have. He could barely hold a single conversation with someone he
didn't know outside a courtroom.
When Monae told Andres she wouldn't let him drive if he drank
the second drink, he weighed his options. On the one hand, it
was irresponsible to drink too much when he had to go to work
the next day. On the other, it wasn't as if he would be doing
any legal work anyway... Besides, A sleepover sounded fun! But
at the same time, he didn't want to step on any toes.
Unless she agreed to a 4am dinner with the other man at the bar,
he would reach in his pocket and pull out his keys, tossing them
to the barista before downing a third of his drink. "You
know..." he said, ignoring the burning sensation in his chest.
"I think I messed up going for a big law firm. Maybe I should
have started smaller, even started my own firm..."He was still
sober enough to stop himself from going into a full blown rant,
but he could definitely feel the drinks. Whatever was in them,
it was doing the job...

Early weekend! Kadira's classes were cancelled for Friday, so it
was officially the weekend! Of course, most of her friends still
had class the next day, so she didn't have anyone to get into
trouble with. But at the very least she could go to the bar and
have a drink! She changed into a nice pair of jeans and a purple
belly shirt and made her way to her favorite bar.
When she walked in, she saw that it was all but dead. It was
disappointing, but not all that surprising. "Hi Andro!" She
waved to the bartender as she came in. She was a sweet girl!
Always took care of her when she came in. She was entertaining
two men at the bar, so Kadira made her way to a table instead.
Maybe she would get some wings as well...

"So many people have thought about a building a flying
something. Be it a car, hover board, or something in between. I
would suggest trying something that is a little more cost
effective instead of having such high hopes. Or maybe that's
what you tell all the pretty girls so that they think that you
are an engineering major in college which gives them false hope
about having a relationship with a man who is meant to be such a
success." The woman chuckled to herself before allowing John to
continue speaking.
Did this man actually ask her out on a date? Since when did men
have that kind of audacity to ask out a person that they just
met on a date? This was not a Disney movie where the woman goes
after the first man who shows her any type of relationship
attention. "Sorry, but I have to make sure that our bar mate
over here gets home safely tonight. I wouldn't be a good
bartender if I just let him drive home after drinking...," the
woman looked over at Andres' drink for a split second before
returning her gaze to John, "basically two of the strongest
drinks that I have ever came up with. Amazing that he's still
sober enough to sit properly at the bar actually."
Monae turned slightly with a soft glare in her eyes."Pft. One
name, you have so many nick names for me that I have forgotten
most of them! And I went by Andro in high school as well, you
are the one who choose to change it back then and try to be
funny by calling me Android!" The woman rolled her eyes at
Andres before laughing softly. Even though she talked to the man
just last week, she missed the banter between the two of them
more than she was willing to admit.
Monae looked into Andres' deep chocolate eyes for a moment
before she caught his keys without flinching. He made a wise
decision this time but was it a wise offer on her part? 'Oh
well, I should be able to control myself for just one night,
plus I think that Akiva would love to have a playmate other than
my toes tonight.' "Would you like me to make you a third since I
will be driving us the two and a half blocks back to my place."
A laugh followed her words before she shook her head to let him
know she was only joking but his half drunken ramblings began
which quickly changed her mood. "If you would have started
small, you would not be the man that I have known for
practically all my life. A challenge has been your goal in life
no matter the challenge. Get use to having the stress from the
big company so that you know what to expect when you open your
own company."
Her attention turned to the woman who entered the bar, one of
her favorite regulars! "Hey Kadira! You are welcome to join the
men at the bar, I'm actually getting ready to head out for the
night but you know Jen will take awesome care of you just like
always."
