Metropolis [RL-RP]

New Haven - Capital City - Central -
A lush and vibrant city like Detroit, New York, and L.A. in
which the whole of the population of Centra resides. It's a
large, bustling city with various subsidiaries in which various
attractions and other rather unique things reside; things which
aren't encompassed in the capital city. Within the capital, are
-but not limited to- the following companies:
Sythra Co.
[spoiler]The largest, and primary, supplier of the Metropolis'
energy. There are, in total, ten stations around the
region.[/spoiler]
Globadyne.
[spoiler]The region's primary banking corporation, they have
easily five A.T.M. machines throughout the region.[/spoiler]
Centra - District I -West-
The primary agricultural division of the Metropolis. This is
where the organic foods for the entire city are produced. Mainly
rolling fields and meadows, there are a few lakes in the area.
The region's primary inhabitants are those of the animal, fruit,
and vegetable variety; despite a few farmers.
Santa Juanita- District II -South-
Ahh yes, the beautiful Santa Juanita; the primary tourist
attraction. Some call this subsidiary home, others call it a
resort, but whatever it's referred to as, most foreigners enjoy
the sandy beaches and clear skies which often overtake the area.
Who knows, you may be able to find your own beach bungalow if
you hurry.
Lighthalzen - District III -North-
The industrial and entertainment capital of the Metropolis, is
Lighthalzen; a rich and prosperous division of the city. It's
often referred to as 'Heaven's Gate' or "The City of Destinies"
because of it's prominence of being well known for producing
various masterpieces as far as movies, and exceptional vehicles
and other items such as weapons, computers, and the like. The
place, despite being the technological capital, is also the
coldest in the region.
The Badlands - District IV -East-
Despite the city's rapidly expanding North, South, and Western
areas, not much is ever done with the Eastern lands. As such,
these are often times referred to as the 'Slum-lands' because of
being constantly poverty stricken due to having no way to
increase their productivity because most here are too poor to be
able to afford even the simplest and cheapest of luxuries.
Essentially, this is the ghetto of Metropolis.
Rules:

1. This is a 'real life' roleplay. Meaning, no powers, etc...
2. When making an entrance, and I can't stress this enough.. DO
NOT DO A "walks in" THING!. You don't just magically appear
somewhere, unless you started there. If you post a "walks in"
thing, consider yourself ignored. That's annoying. Put detail in
it.
3. If you die, unless the E.M.T.s or whatever [MEDICAL] get to
you in time, you're dead.
4. Fighting is allowed, but DO NOT take it outside of the RP.
Y'know? Keep it RP only, even though it's an RL RP... *Sighs*
Well, you get the point, and I'm sure you remember how the
"Streets of Detroit" RP worked, right? This is basically the
same way.
5. Drama is allowed, and accepted, but only within the RP. After
all, there's drama in the real world, there's drama in the RL RP
world.

A large man ran swiftly through the slum lands. His speed was
surprising for one of his size. His gut giggling just slightly
as he ran. He darted around corners trying to outsmart his
pursuers. His black coat ruffled in the winds as he ran. Though
his running seemed to be the extent of the surprises he held. He
attempted to jump to a ladder leading to a roof as he ran but
his jump fell much to short. His boots hit the ground hard
kicking up dust and his face grimaced at the shock of his
landing. But he continued to run. It seemed he had pissed the
wrong people off and they were starting to catch up to him.
His black jeans started to gather dust as he ran lacing them
with a dirty brown film. His gray t-shirt would show sweat under
his arms if his jacket wasn't covering them. Though as he ran he
wore an odd smile. Like he was used to things like this
happening. Almost as if he enjoyed the thrill of the danger
looming behind him.

Sitting in his loft apartment, wondering what to do, John
couldn't help but wonder what was going on in the rest of the
city and, for that matter, if he would ever find someone to
love. With a shrug, he yawned as he leaned back and propped his
feet up upon his desk and leaned back in his reclining office
chair as his computer ran scan after scan for viruses. To the
right of his boots was his cellphone; a Motorola Razr with a
custom black diamond case and gold lines adorning the edges.
"By the gods, this is truly a boring but relaxing day. I wonder
if anything's going on. I need some fun. . ." Just then, his
small twenty one inch television received a news broadcast.
"Damn it all, the fucking news? Really? Gah, fucking hell..." A
loud 'CRASH!' sounds in the hallway outside his apartment and
he's sent to the floor; banging his head and groaning. "What the
fuck was that?!" Slowly crawling from his downed chair, rubbing
the back of his head, he staggers to his feet as the door is
opened; enter, his oldest sister with a grim look on her face.
Shortly thereafter, before John could get to her, a knife found
it's way into her back.
When she fell to the ground, dying, John couldn't help but
quiver in undeniable pain and sorrow for her. Moving solely on
instinct, he seemingly shifted through reality to catch her but
in truth, he was running on pure adreneline; moving faster than
normal despite the immense toll it took on his body. Tears in
his eyes as he held Jennifer close and cupped her cheek softly.
"Sister.." But it was too late, she gasped and puked up blood
all over him and faded into unconsciousness and death as the
blood slowly trickled to nothing under her; she had died.
Quivering, barely able to move, about to have a major meltdown,
John's gaze caught an image of the attacker. Just as he caught
the attacker, however, the man had vanished into the dark
corridors of the building. "No!!! Jennifer!!!" John closed his
eyes and collapsed in tears. "JENNIFER!!!!! Please.. no...
please... " But it was too late, his beloved sister had already
died.

Valerie was used to being able to sit at home and do nothing.
Well, nothing really. She would clean around the house and wait
til her grandmother arrived. She knew she wouldn’t be very long;
her grandmother was never out for a very long time. But, for
some reason this day was different. When the girl with dark
hair woke from her bed, she felt this odd feeling deep in her
stomach. Something was going to happen… Something that would
change her world. Or at least that is what she thought. Putting
a hand in her lap Val chuckled and shook her head. “Damn romance
novels…” She slipped her legs out from under her blankets and
slid over the edge of her bed. “Oh, maybe I should cook for
her!” Grinning widely she decided to do so.
Quickly, she walked into her closet, and pulled on a red cape.
It fit her body type well. She had a fit body. She wasn’t too
skinny; she had meat on her bones. As she got used to the sudden
coldness that the breeze sent down her spine, she gritted her
teeth, and closed her eyes. The last time she had cooked for her
elderly grandmother had been forever ago! Oh, yes, she would
love this. But what to make her. Taking in another deep breath,
she shoved her hands into her pockets, and looked up into the
morning sky. Looking over to her house, she had this gut
feeling. It felt just like when she first woke up. Something
would be happening. But what? A groan passed through her lips.
Turning back, she headed to the city. Valerie lived in the
country part of the land, and she had never been in the city.
Would it be like the country? Biting her lower lip, her eyes
scanned the area.
She was now in the city, yet she didn’t like the look of it. Her
eyes narrowed. The people who wandered the streets looked pretty
nasty. Not as in unattractive. But, just scary. The way their
eyes looked at her. Made Val want to crawl under a rock and
hide. If that were even possible. So far, so good. She walked
slowly, but quickly. Stopping randomly to look into a shop’s
window, and see the beautiful products. But, as Val got to one
of the stores, she stood there. It had been a restaurant. The
food being served there smelt so good. Her eyes closed, as she
just stood there taking in a couple deep breathes. Her eyes
drifted close, it was if she could actually taste what she
smelt! Smiling, she moved along, walking forward again.

Finally, pulling himself from his sister's corpse, John stood
and turned; walking to the window. Placing a hand on the glass,
he could see the people below. This loft apartment meant nothing
to him, it was just a place to live much like a closet or a
dumpster. Deciding it was time to go find himself a date, to
take his mind off the tragedy, he sauntered from the grasp of
the room and down the hall to the elevator. Slipping into the
shaft, and pushing the downward button to the ground floor, he
found himself there.
Slipping gracefully from the elevator, through the main lobby,
and out the front door, he found himself in front of the
restaurant. What luck, to be next to a restaurant; even more so,
he could see a woman walking from the place. She seemed in a
daze. Dressed, casually in blue jeans and a white t-shirt, he
was more of a country boy than a city goer. Turning on his heel,
however, he began walking after the woman. Taking off in a brisk
walk, now, he called her. "You there, miss. Please, wait.. I saw
you looking in the window of that store.."
He wasn't like most other men in this city, though, John had an
eye for quality and enough money to consider his daily needs
met. His athletically toned body seemed to glisten in the heat
as he spoke to the woman. "I ask you, lass, please stop..." Just
looking at this woman, by god, she was absolutely gorgeous;
perfect ass, shapely legs, wide hips, long hair, everything he
liked. However, this day, he wasn't out for sex as he always had
been before; this day, he wanted something satisfying,
companionship of some sort. Would this woman provide such
companionship?

A deep desiring look settled within her orbs. She looked to the
ground and yawned. Maybe find a park or somewhere she could sit
down? Settling her hands on her hips she heard something. Was it
a door opening? Slowly she turned around to see a man walk from
the place she had desired to go into, but knew she couldn't. Her
eyes scanned up his body quickly, but a light flush appeared on
her cheeks, and she turned her body away. Her grandmother had
always told her, it was polite to stare. Her eyes drifted close
for only minute, as Valerie side stepped so she was out of
traffic's way on the side walk.
But suddenly she heard a voice. Had it come from the man she had
just saw. Slowly she turned back around, and knew he had spoken.
But she really didn't think he was talking to her. There were
many people out along the streets. He probably saw some gal he
wanted to take to bed. Yawning gently, she turned her body back
around and continued to walk. Til she heard his voice again. The
feeling of knowing he was now talking to her, made her clench
her jaw. But Val smile, and turned around, glancing at the man.
"Hello!" Her voice was bright, and filled with happiness.
Kinda wondering what he wanted, she made her way to him until
she was standing before him. "I was only looking sir." She
glanced down to her hands, and shrugged her red cloak covered
shoulders. "I could never afford anything in there, anyways. Was
there something you needed?" She tilted her head. Than a saying
from her grandmother voiced in her mind. Val's eyes opened
widely. "I'm so sorry! My name is Valerie." Her smile glistened
once more, as she looked up into his eyes.

"It's fine, my dear. Valerie? A beautiful name." Tilting his
head, slightly, he watched her. She seemed distraught and
saddened. When he spoke, he raised his right hand and very
softly cupped her cheek as he whispered. "How 'bout I treat you
to lunch, and we can get to know one another better? My name's
John, by the way." As he spoke, he flexed the powerful muscles
in his chest; his fingers lightly caressing her cheek.
Something about this girl seemed different. She didn't seem like
the other girls he'd had his way with, she seemed to hold a
certain charm; he knew then, that he simply must make her his.
Whispering softly, again, he smiled to her. "I do so get lonely,
so very truly lonely.." He whispered, sounding as pathetic as he
could muster. "I have a proposition, for you, though. If you're
interested in making a little extra money.."
This was a game he'd played with at least one woman a month, but
this time, his intentions were even more foreboding; despite his
innocent outwardly behaviors and mannerisms. "What do you like
to eat?" His voice, so soft and soothing, would sound almost
hypnotic to the woman; alluring to even men if they would hear
it. Not something he was used to, however, John had a target in
mind and would stop at nothing to get her. "My treat, I promise.
I simply cannot allow such a gorgeous young lady such as
yourself be hungry."

Valerie's eyes went wide as she heard what he said. "Oh, I
couldn't, allow you to buy me anything!" Shaking her head, and
bit her lower lip. Val wasn't used to others-besides
grandmother- buying her anything. John? Hmm, the name fit him.
Smiling widely, she nodded her head. "I have not been out here
for a long time, and you are the first polite person I have ran
into... You seem very sweet." Her lips curved up.
But as soon as she said that, there was a barking heard. A big,
black dog came running to Valerie's side. Val giggled, and bent
down to run her fingers along it's fur. "Oh, Pete! You need to
go home." the dog tilted it's own head to look up at her, than
it chanced a glance at John. Valerie smiled, and looked to John
again. "Sorry! this is my neighbor's dog... His name is Peter.
But I call him Pete." The big dogs, upper lip, lifted baring
it's teeth.
Smiling, Val nodded her head. "Well, since you so insist..." She
began, while trying to shoo the animal away. "I will allow you
to treat me to such a wonderful thing." Her eyes sparkled with
complete happiness. Her pale cheeks burst with color at his
choice of words to describe her beauty. She lifted up her hand
and ran her fingers through her hair. "that is very sweet of you
to say, and once we go over your proposal, I might accept." Her
voice held a hint of palyfullness in which she never had the
chance to use.

"I do hope you'll enjoy it, my sweet." He spoke softly again as
she introduced him to Pete. Looking at the dog, he smiled and
nodded. "Hello Pete. Gonna take your friend here to get some
food." Turning his gaze back to Val, John whispered softly.
"Please, follow me, my dear. I promise, it will be nearly as
delicious as you are beautiful." His touch was gentle, despite
his wicked intentions, as his hand slowly moved and cupped her
cheek. "Shall we get our food now?"
Turning slightly, stepping into the door, he spoke softly to
her. "Come to the far booth. I'll be waiting." With that, he
slipped into the restaurant and put the table on reserve before
going over and sitting down. 'God she's fucking cute. I can't
wait to get that sexy piece of ass up to my apartment, tie her
up, and have my way with her..' He thought to himself as he
licked his lips and painted a smile upon his face as he looked
confidently at the door and waited for her to enter.
