She smiled softly and tilted her head causing some of her blonde
hair fall over her left shoulder. She pushed her coffee to the
side, as she was fully tired of the drink now. " well good." she
giggled " I mean if you were, I wouldn't judge" she giggled as
she looked at him now, her eyes locking on to him. " and you
have guessed right, I am different as well." she was slightly
hesitant to describe how she ws different though.

At open mention of her... differences, James could not help but
look over at the man who was still working at the counter. He
was not entirely sure about what the man knew about their world,
and he had tried to keep it that way for so long he could not
remember the last time he openly admitted his nature to
anyone... Not since he left all that behind, though that valley
constantly invaded his mind as a distant memory.
"I bet you wouldn't," He teased, gnashing his teeth like a
mindless undead after brains for a brief second. He had a good
laugh at that, then inched his hand past the abandoned cups
towards her, "I do not think I would, either."

She watched him turn and look towards Harry and she smiled
seemingly knowing what he was thinking. " He knows, actually a
lot of people around know about our differences. " she glanced
back towards James. " I would not judge." she laughed and
glanced to his hand. She held her breath for a few secnds and
then pushed her hand forward to meet his, their finger tips only
touching. She was still cold, she was cold everywhere dispite
the blood that flowed through her veins. " that is good, people
who judge are not nice" she giggled

"If so many people know, then why do we have to hide it?" James
asked, a little concerned that Harry was so knowledgeable about
his true nature just by association. But, as things turned out,
the cold of his companions fingers against the tips of his was
soothing in a way that few things could. In stark contrast to
the heat he had drawn from the tea, her body was such a relief,
and after they touched he could not help but slide his hand on
top of hers.
"I remember a place a long time ago that creatures and beings
were just welcome... somewhere that they did not judge you based
off of your blood."

She smiled and sighed. " because some people do judge. The
people who judge can cause chaos. Hanaburry has children of
human and other races alike. That is why I double as an English
and special teacher, to teach both. " she looked smiled and bit
her bottom lip feeling his hand that felt so smooth and almost
liquid like upon hers. When he told her of a small memory, she
looked down. Her whole life, people judged her. She was sold,
thrown into prostitution, and continues that as well as a
teacher. " I wished I knew that feeling" she whispered

When he looked at that woman, he did not see something to be
judged. Nay, he saw something beautiful, pleasant, and something
deeper than flesh, wherever hers came from. It was an old habit
of James', to look into hearts, because he knew that is how he
wanted others to view him. His appearance could change with his
will, but he knew as well as anyone that it was that which could
not be touched that was the hardest thing to change.
"Well you still can. Harry seems to keep you in a fair light,
and you are not alone at the school anymore," James surmised,
after carefully calculating the woman's situation, "And damn
those who stand in our way."

She could tell by the way the man looked at her, he was not one
to judge, at least in a bad way. She smiled and let out a soft,
slow breath. She loved talking to people and making friends,
lean ring about them along the way. She turned her hand over and
allowed her fingertips to trace James' palm.
She nodded at the mention of Harry. " yeah, he is one of the
three that know everything about me..." her voice trailed off. "
he is such a genuine man, almost like a grandfather to me." With
the mention of anything like a family member she looked out the
window to hide her expression of sorrow. Nce she composed
herself she turned back she was smiling. " we are not alone, I
know of one who is almost like us. I believe he is human, but
yet he is different." she was talking about Clint, who had an
alternate personality, Yuri the assassin. " he lives with me..."
she cleared her throat and blushed. " sorry, to much info..."
she whispered

"No, Miss Bray, I think that is just the right amount of
information... unless you have to kill me now that you told me,"
James retorted sarcastically, before slowly letting his hand
retract from her cool touch. So she was taken, and James was not
a man to take a woman, even one as beautiful as her, from the
arms of someone else. He cursed himself for touching her, for
telling her he would help, but he had to go on... show her he
meant no harm.
"Well extend congratulations to him, and to you I suppose," he
felt obligated to say, despite his reservations, "No need to be
embarrassed over something like that." He leaned in close,
before adding a final bit of information, "I am currently
sleeping in the old fish pond behind the school. Quite quaint,
actually."

Her eyes widened at his words. Oh how funny, he thought Clint
and she were together. Suddenly Braylin busted out in a full on
laugh. She pulled her hand away and covered her mouth still
laughing, her face turning slightly red from laughing so hard. "
oh, no no no." she shook her head. " Clint and I are not
together. He...sort of...is a possession of mine, or I am of
his...something." she continued to giggle. " I can not date...."
she said and then stopped. " I am...I " she paused. " I could
never hurt someone like that so I don't date anyone"
When he told her where he was living she gasped. " oh no
no....that can not stay the same, this must change." she
exclaimed. " I have an extra bed room, you can live there." she
smiled her eyes brighter then ever

So there was hope after all. Though confused about these rules
of possession, James relinquished his hand to her in a gentle
grip, for support. He had not much need of space, or even of a
roof over his head, and yet he was having trouble denying her
request. He knew that to appear as a normal man, he would have
to make money, and spend money... his career as a teacher would
give him plenty enough to pay for a place of his own, provided
he lasted long enough to get a "paycheck."
"You know I will not be able to pay rent yet, correct?" he asked
her, concern forcing his fingers to grip all the tighter, "And I
do not eat, except for pleasure, so you do not have to worry
about me raiding your cupboard at night."
