She sipped slowly on the cold coffee while watching the people
make their way to and from work or to dinner dates and such.
After several moments she began to swirl her straw in the
coffee. " Hmm..." she let out, wondering if the man would even
show. She would be surprised if he did. She stared at her coffee
and it began to slowly freeze solid, her straw frozen inside.
Her concentration was broken with the sound of the tiny bell
dinging when the door opened. She brought her head up from the
cup to see the man from the school.
Her blonde hair framed her skinny face, her bright blue eyes
locking on his figure. He was more intriguing in person. She
blushed slightly, why had she given him that note. He probably
thought she was weird. She stood up, hoping he would see that
she was the one who had wanted him to come. Harry, the owner
looked and the man " hello sir, can I help you?"

"Oh, sorry. I was invited here to meet someone, though I admit I
do not know who sent the invitation," James said with a slight
sigh, looking at the emptiness of the place and taking in the
people. Most of them, like the old shopkeep, seemed of little
consequence to him other than conversation, but one beautiful
specimen in the corner caught his eye for that mere moment in
between of words. Her long blonde hair reminded him of autumn
fields, ripe and fertile, and behind those eyes there was an odd
loneliness about them. Could it be her that invited him here?
"But, while I am here, I guess I should see if you have some
tea..." he added, pretending to dig though the slacks he had
constructed himself and deep into his thigh, where some spare
change from the bottom of a wishing well had remained for quite
some time. An elemental, after all, had little need for money,
other than pleasure.

Braylin smiled softly in a warming gesture. She glanced towards
Harry who had asked the man, or element if he could help him.
She slowly put one foot in front of the other as she made her
way up towards the front. He had an interesting and good looming
feature to him, she couldn't explain it. She tried not to stare
so she wouldn't be rude. " Here, I got it." she smiled and
pulled out a dollar and thirty cents. Harry smiled at Braylin
and took the money. " Sir, she is a good catch" Braylin's cheeks
quickly darkened into a deep red and she gasped. " Harry...."
she whined softly.
She glanced towards then strange man and then back down. " hi,
my name is Braylin" she spoke, stretching her arm out to shake
his hand. Her skin was still cold to the touch, as usual.

James tried to resist the woman paying for his drink, and yet he
soon lost all thought of fighting her over it. Her eyes, as they
tried not to stare, seemed to lock in his for the briefest of
moments, and as they shook hands, he could not help but smile at
the refreshing cold that wrapped his fingers. It was as
different as she was, that much was soothing, but he could not
help but wonder if the rest of her skin shared that same cold
bite.
"Thank you, Harry, I can see that," he teased, nodding to the
man before he turned back to the woman. Muscles fed by the power
of rivers tensed under a finely spun white shirt so soft it
seemed made of foam, and he gently removed his hand from hers
before the cold made him tense up too tightly. "I am glad I
came."

She smiled softly as their hands made contact in the shake. Her
eyes glanced over to Harry. He had kept an eye out for her while
she was around the shoppe or in town. She slid her soft, cold
hand from his as she noticed his bady reacting towards her
temperature. " Sorry..." she muttered under her breath and
looked up to Jame's eyes then away again. She turned, her hair
swishing around as she did and walked towards her table. " if
you want, you can join me, since I did invite you." her lips
parted into a smile and a small laugh exited her mouth.
Once she got to the table she looked up towards the two men in
the front. " I dnt even know the dudes name and Harry is already
embarrassing me." she shook her head to herself then looked to
her frozen coffee, waiting for the man to join her.

James was soon warmed again by receiving what could only be
described as the hottest tea he had ever had the pleasure to
hold in his hand. The brew, just fresh from a rolling boil,
seemed to only relax his muscles as it's warmth slowly spread
through him... and that was just from him carrying the cup the
short distance to the table.
He pulled up a chair as he could, careful to not spill any of
the piping brew on his new companion as he sat, and then stared
at her from across the table. The ocean peered into her eyes in
that moment before he spoke, and his lips, a cool blue, flowed
with every word. "Well," he said to her in a joking
professionalism, "I guess since it is customary to start with
names, I should ask you to call me James."

She felt her cheeks heat up slightly and she broke the lock of
their eyes by looking back down to her frozen solid drink.
"James..." she repeated in a smooth tone and looked back up
smelling at the joking tone he was taking. " well, I mentioned
mine earlier, but again, Call me Braylin, or Bray." she replied
Her eyes slowly traced down Jame's face and stopped on his lips.
The only time she had seen blue lips was on someone who had died
and been without oxygen for a while. This intrigued her as well.
" your lips..." she said out loud and then gasped " I mean,
sorry...I speak my mind...and I..well.." she closed her eyes "
Sorry, that was weird." she smiled softly and laughed at
herself.
"so, I noticed, you teach at Hanaburry?"

His lips curled at their mere mention and James could not help
but laugh at the slight awkwardness of the woman as she spoke.
Yet, she had noticed those features that showed him off as
something different... something many humans never even bothered
to check for. It made him wonder how much like him she really
was. Yet, of all the things about him for her to want to discuss
first... to say the least the elemental thought that intriguing.
"Well, starting today I am teaching biology," James admitted
with a rolling chuckle, "So I guess I am the one qualified to
talk about lips, moreso than you at least."

She sighed knowing he had to think she was weird. Hell, she even
thought she was weird. She forced herself to unfreeze her drink
and she sipped it. She was quite liked him, other then the fact
she could use almost ever element, but ice was her dominate one.
She could also transform into a cat and teleport. She didn't say
any of this, she just thought about it. Her whole body usually
stayed cold for the simple fact she used her cryoenergy more.
"ah, I loved biology." she smiled. " I Teach English and some
special classes." she replied. The special classes being on
controls power and using it. " Your lips are very interesting
though." she finally admitted fully. " I haven't really seen
them on anyone alive." here statement caused her to giggle
softly

So he sat, sipping the hot drink and continuing to contemplate
the woman. She was different, surely not entirely human, but she
had a smile that seemed genuine and no telltale signs of a true
monster. Not that James was not concerned about such things. He
was about as far from human in heritage you could get, and did
not even always have a solid body. He could not judge someone
just because they had cold hands or an odd obsession with
lips...
"Well, I assure you I am not dead," he commented, "I am just a
little different is all... and, as i take it, so are you."
