Hollis slowly lowered herself down into a chair, fingers
delicately picking at the worn and torn fabric as her legs
tucked themselves up into the chair. She was back at home, but
her mind was lingering in other places. Her fingers had picked
loose a little string of thread, making it long enough so she
was able to wrap it around her slender index several times. She
pulled it tight, watching as the tip of her finger slowly turned
from its normal tanned color to red to purple. Her head had been
up the entire time, glazed over eyes trained on the bland while
wall head of her. The light of the lamp in the corner of the
room caused Hollis to turn her head to face it. It reminded her
of the stars, which were ever so bright and sparkly that night.
And then he did something, seemingly capturing all of the stars
and placing them into one single gown for her to wear while he
wore a beautiful deep blue suit. They seemed so dressed up for
such an insignificant activity, but yet it seemed so... right.
That night -- the best night that Hollis has ever spent with
anybody -- ended in tragedy. Men, a whole army of them, marched
down the streets and destroyed everything in sight, leaving the
beautiful kingdom in ruins. They forced Hollis and Carion to
flee, running to the nearest place of civilization where he
checked her into a hotel and returned back to the kingdom. He
left Hollis in shock, a never-ending river of questions flowing
through her mind, but the one that stuck out of the most was the
need for her to know if he was alright, safe somewhere. She
wasn't able to stick around to hear the news when she was
checked into the hotel. A phone call from the doctors brought
her home in yet another flurry of emotions.
She was at home now, going through the stages of moving on, not
from Carion though. From her parents. There was a big
thunderstorm that night; wind was raging as rain pelted down
onto the ground, occasionally being graced by the loud flicker
of lightning. Her parents, being the kind people they were, had
gone out to the animals to soothe the spooked horses. Only
several moments later another blunder of lightning struck,
though this time it hit a tree, immediately causing the wood to
light up in flames. The fire hopped from that tree to the wooden
corral that held the horses in, soon traveling from barn to
barn, killing everything in its path.. including her parents.
Luckily, due to the main house being several miles from the
heart of the farm where the lightning had struck, it was
untouched, and that was where Hollis was now. Boxes piled up in
corners and random objects littering the floor. She was in
search of something, but she couldn't find it.

That Night had begun so wonderful, he'd returned home and
embraced his Father; mother and sister. All of them were happy
to see him, but none could expect the misfortune of his return.
He had met a beautiful Young lass, not so formal and cosure to
the customs he was used to. She was all of everything amazing to
him, and then it was yanked away. The Abyssals Marched a their
doors step. an impending doom of Ice that floated above the
city, demons and monsters alike aiming at destroying all int
heir path. he'd been forced to push her out of the City. To
retreat with her, from their meal half eaten even; and take her
far from that place. She had no life there unlike him, unlike
the responsibility he owed to that place. So it was easiest to
fly her through the sky and take her to a hotel not far from
where her home was. He did it to remain impartial, keep her
family from danger in the case he'd been tracked, they would
find it a heavy burden to break the seals he'd placed around the
hotel. Knowing that woman, that beautiful young lass Hollis
however, the seals wouldn't bind her; not that close to home.
he had returned to impending doom, Forced to swallow his pride
and protect what was to him a cousin, of sorts. A man had
appeared and all hell had broken loose in the council chambers,
a good fight ready to stir. His arrogant father had tried to
call for peace; to hand over the stranger whom all he wanted was
to protect his child, His niece. Carion had lost much of his
respect for that dear old father of his at this point. " coward"
he remembered having calling him that in the back room before
walking out to make sure Kota was alright. Some might call him
abandoner; as he truly had no idea how things went, he could
only trust in that man with the white hair that no one would
come harmed in that building. All thoughts to pass through him
as he seemed to skate across the sky.
Brilliant violets and blue dust seemed to fall underneath his
every strive forward. he was adorned differently this time.
Battle raiment of Wonderful silver armor. he wore no helmet, his
legs were adorned in chain mail and armor as well. he was pretty
much decked out with the Silver and gold of his people. a small
blue half cape hung off his right shoulder, his sword was
sheathed at his hip, and he wore sandals of the same color.
Storms were brewing the closer he got to the woman's house. he
hadn't even cared to check the hotel, he knew better than that.
it was an unfamiliar land but the sky united his knowledge as he
defied the lightning strikes with ease and made his way to look
down at an old farm house. Carion's hand met his chest, and he
lowered more and more; he seen the large tree that seemed to
have crushed everything, and could only pray she hadn't been
       caught in the havoc.
His feet touched ground and he almost dashed towards the house,
past the mud and rain that beaded of his face. he wouldn't be
able to bare the idea that shed been lost in all this
unnecessary tragedy, much more by the hand of fate. he'd lost
too much already at this point. Relentlessly his fist pounded on
the door, trying to restrain his worry so he didn't bust down
the door with his power. " Hollis, Hollis are you alright!?' he
shouted against the door, praying for some answer; for her to
come to the door. He was in pain from the travels he was in
unfamiliar Land. His home was likely lost to his fathers
stupidity; though something still told him that Kayis had kept
his promise, that none of them had died. surely he hoped so so
he could kick his fathers ass himself for the stupidity of a
blind ruler. " Hollis!" he shouted again resting both fists
against the door and his drenched forehead as well as if in some
desperate attempt to communicate with her.

Her parents had died weeks ago, about a month ago actually, but
it felt like the storm hadn't left. Either clouds were looming
up in the sky, or they were raining down in Hollis's head. One
could say she entered her own state of depression. Light purple
circles had appeared under her eyes from lack of sleep, and she
had lost so much energy from neglecting eating and drinking; she
would only eat when she needed it, and even then she ate only
small portions of insignificant food. She couldn't think about
stuffing her face full of food when there were others, both from
the storm that had killed her parents and the downfall of
Carion's kingdom, who were roaming streets in search of measly
scraps. Not to mention that Carion could most likely be one of
those people, which only added onto the depression she felt.
Rain began to fall down, pounding down on the roof of the small
cabin Hollis had grown up in, even lightning was cracking
through the sky. Forcing her eyes shut, Hollis's hands clenched
at the arms of the chair she sat in. If only she could remember
where it was, then she could leave this place and forget about
what happened. Her parents were her life, without them she found
it difficult to live. Who would she tell all of her happy
moments too? Her mother was gone, and her father never really
cared. They were the last bit of family she had left, and now
they were gone. And they would never come back.
Minutes passed and Hollis got up from her chair, now seated on
the floor she searched for it. "Damn.. Where did they put it.."
She growled with narrowed eyes. Now that the rain was falling,
all she wanted to do was leave, but she couldn't leave without
it. It's the only thing she's daring to take with her -- the
only thing that she would allow to remind her of her parents.
But it was no where to be seen. She cleaned out every place,
except for the basement of course. When she was still young and
living with her parents they would never put things down there
because of mice. However, things could have changed while Hollis
was away.. She jolted up to her feet, which swiftly carried her
       to the basement door.
The basement door was the kind of door that wouldn't open no
matter how hard to tried. You had to body slam the thing for it
to even begin to open. But from inside the basement, where you
had to pull open the door, you were shit out of luck. If you
didn't keep the door open you were stuck in there. Ramming her
body into the door about three times, Hollis turned on the
basement light and began her way down the steep, creaking
stairs. in the dim lighting, she found it difficult to see mere
feet in front of her, so on her way down the steps she had
managed to fall. Twice. Now, she was safely on the floor,
although she stumbled numerous times due to random objects
littering the way. "Should've brought a flashlight.." She
mumbled to herself, voice croaky as she continued further into
the small room, grabbing as many garbage bags and random
containers as she could before making her way back up the
stairs, managing to not stumble this time.
At the top of the stairs was where she had heard the voice. The
crackling thunder, lighting, and rain had prevented her from
previously hearing it. Someone was calling her name.. But
who...? Hazel eyes widened as she dropped all of the bags and
containers she had been carrying, legs fumbling around as if
they were jello. She could focus enough to get her to the door
in time. The pounding of fists had stopped, and he no longer
called out her name. That didn't stop Hollis. She wanted to see
him, even if it only meant watching his back as he walked away
from her. Pulling open both the screen door and the heavy metal
one, Hollis looked eagerly for Carion. Once her eyes landed on
him, she lunged towards him, arms slinging themselves over his
shoulder as her feet left the ground due to his towering height.
       "Carion!"
       [[sorry it's poop. :l]]

familiar embrace wrapped around his neck. His Strong able arms
wrapped around holding her tight and being careful so not to
squish her against him. Then before He could think of anything
else he did something that could have turned out horribly wrong,
or much better than he could imagine. Pulling her closer to him
and meeting his lips to hers just after she yelled. He only held
his posture there for for a few moments before letting the kiss
end, his lips slightly swaying off of hers as he tried to pass
it off. He didn't know completely why he'd done that but he
didn't mind it either, all he could do at this point however in
that passing moment was hope she didn't Mind it either. All he

She could feel her body slipping into happiness as Carion's arms
wrapped around her; and to be completely honest, she wouldn't
mind if he damn near squished her right now, she was just glad
to see him breathing. A single flare of shock washed through her
body as she felt his wet lips against her own dry ones, and she
met him half way, kissing him back. This was ten times more than
what she was hoping for, a dream come true. Literally, she could
die happy right now; the person she cared the most about right
now was alive and well, and at her door step. Hollis reluctantly
pulled away when he ended the kiss, although she couldn't help
herself as her lips danced across his once more. After that she
pulled him inside of the small cabin, getting them both out of
the booming rain, where she slung her arms over his shoulders
again, allowing her face to nuzzle into his neck. "I've worried
about you so much, Carion." Swallowing briefly, she glanced up
at him with uncertain eyes, "I thought they killed you.."

He couldn't be happier the way she accepted his embrace. It was
as if she'd been waiting for him, for him to take her in that
way since the very beginning. had they truly grown so close int
he span of a couple of days. only days before in mighty war and
havoc, right before that sharing a wonderful dinner. His lips
met hers again, and the embrace Lingered for a moment teasing
him for more as she pulled away and tugged at his strong arms to
pull him into her house. He let his feet lead him in with a
simple smile upon his slightly rugged face. His silver golden
eyes flashed with a gleam as the light hit them and he dusted
off the Mighty warriors gauntlets he wore. he was over
encumbered by large amounts of Armor and such and he felt it was
hardly a good way to see this beautiful princess of the south.
But he followed her still keeping so close as impulses took to
him once more and he pulled her close to him again. " my Dear I
missed you as well, you were all i could find upon my Mind in
this entire long separation we have endured."
Carion smiled and shut the door behind him as he kissed her
again this time feeling free with it. His head tilted to the
side as his warm hands caressed her cheek. the Moment lingered
as the silver eyes shut and they held their position, a
fortitude of unbreakable solace for the two. Finally it ended
though he could have swam in her embrace for ages and vacancy
brought about in the separation left him to almost frown before
he looked into her beautiful eyes again. " I was forced to Leave
the Home land so i know little of what happened in my leave.."
he sighed with a worrisome look. " But my dearest Hollis, they
couldn't take me down." he boasted in the silly manner she was
used to with him. " Are you doing well my dear?" he let the
question Linger as he began to work at the straps of his armor
to fit himself into a much more comfortable tunic as she told of
       her tale in his wait.

It was as if she would never be close enough to Carion; her arms
tightened around his neck, forcing them against one another. She
never wanted to let go, to see him leave her only to face the
looming darkness of those men. It couldn't happen, she couldn't
lose him. He was all she had left now, and she didn't plan on
taking the risk of losing him again. Her soft cheeks burned as a
flush found its way onto her face. She wasn't used to anyone,
especially a man, to talk to her like that -- which is what she
loved about Carion. He spoke in such a manner that any woman
would melt; and boy, was Hollis melting for him. Her arms
tightened around his neck as she felt her knees going weak when
their lips were touching for the third time that night. She had
even found herself shivering slightly from the cold rain
outside; in just those short moments they were outside, her
clothes had gotten soaked and she was frozen. Now, her black
tank top and shorts were clinging to her curves, her hair
sticking to the back of her neck, arms, and face as she kissed
       Carion.
When the kiss ended, Hollis found her lips tingling, almost
begging for more. She fought the urge, finding comfort in
Carion's rough yet gentle voice. A flutter of giggles left her
as he boasted about himself. With arms unlocking themselves from
around his neck and hand running over his masculine shoulders to
rest upon his wet cheeks, Hollis smiled. "I am doing better now
that you're here," She whispered to him, eyes sliding shut as
she pulled him into another hug. "It was the best yet worst
night of my life." She added, whispering against the skin of his
neck before she pulled away and allowed him to dis-armor his
body. While he did that Hollis ventured over to the bathroom,
grabbing a towel so she could dry herself off and another for
Carion if he needed it. She wrapped the thick wool towel around
her shoulders, finding warmth in the fabric but it wasn't the
same warmth she felt when she was in Carion's arms. Glancing at
Carion now in a tunic, Hollis offered him the other towel that
was folded over her arm. "Is it gone? The kingdom?"

In a grim moment Carion lifted his armor from body tucking it
onto the floor. He wore a brilliant White tunic of the finest
cloth. It had symbols of Trim that was gold to decorate it to a
more royal appeal. It was odd to be in such a Modern home, but
surprisingly he enjoyed it. His large body let him tower a bit
as he strokes at his chin and shook off his boots only now int
he tunic half open and his black baggy pants he used for combat.
His brilliant silver gold eyes met her own as she returned to
him and he took a step forward barefoot. The Carpet felt so
wonderful under his toes after wearing the bots for the past two
days. He took the towel and messed with his thick shaggy hair a
tiny bit before letting it sit neatly on his shoulders. He took
her hand pulling her over to her own couch so they could
converse comfortably as he placed himself where she could easily
lean against him. Her next question slightly caught him off
       guard.
He tried to recall the scene as he leaned back sighing closing
his eyes as she rested against his muscular body. " I had barely
got you away from the situation.." he paused to take a breath as
he continued." the Abyssals Lead By Landon yamato moved against
us, and a Man Kayis who was one of the Abyssals was in our

pulled her face so he could kiss his cheek as he whispered the
words." something very important to him." with a smile before
continuing with the beautiful part of the story." I watched this

would be saved My father agreed. We threw away our final hope of
saving the City..." he growled the last word before looking at
       her and forcing a smile.
Pulling her closer in his lap as he held her close." I argued
with that man for an hour as Kayis refused to go or allow anyone
to take His daughter or her mother. He had lost much; it was
very apparent. Landon grew Angry and decided to call the true
meaning to their war to the front lines. Challenging their god
on our home land. Young Kota a nephew to me took off running and
i tried chasing him.." he laughed a tiny bit shaking his head."
Bows damn fast and I'm just getting too old for that Shenanigans
haha" he prodded at her beaming down and trying to keep the mood
light even knowing which part of the story he was about to
reach.." The Last thing i seen was the Whole building Disappear
with My family; If I'm correct even my father was spared. But

the people were reduced to skeletons without any means,
buildings crumbled. it was ..... a massacre.." he sighed shaking
slightly at the pure thought of it as he closed his eyes and
continued to keep close to her. " I moved with all the speed i
could to make sure you were safe... I had to pray Kayis had come

Hollis smiled as she watched Carion take off his armor; he
looked way better without it anyways. A soft giggled left her
lips as he ran the towel over his wet hair, and she soon found
herself being drawn to him once more, moving to him even before
he grabbed her hand to lead them both to the couch. Once on the
couch, Hollis leaned up, pressing her lips to his closest temple
before resting against him, switching her towel for a blanket to
keep them both warm, if not just to keep herself warm. A smile
tugged on her lips as he pulled her face in to his, eyes closing
at the kiss that was applied to her cheek. Instead of moving her
face away, she rested her cheek against his instead just so she
would be close to him. One of her hands rested against his chest
lightly as he began to go more in-depth with the news of his
       kingdom.
Along with Carion, Hollis could feel anger welling up inside her
as he talked about his father agreeing to the most ridiculous
agreement. Her heart beat quickened with fury, but the smile he
gave her melted it all away, and she was once again just glad to
be with him. Hollis didn't deny Carion. In fact, she would have
crawled onto his lap whether or not he pulled her into it. Now
in a different position, Hollis leaned her head against his
chest, being sure to place her ear over his heart so she could
listen to its beat as her other hands tucked themselves into her
chest beneath the blanket. And then the mention of a demon
brought her out of her happy stupor. Shifting against him, she
closed her eyes, letting her mind wander. All her life demons
were things that people made up to scare others. It wasn't until
today -- until she had met Carion -- that demons became real.
Tilting her head up, Hollis pressed her lips against Carion's
jaw, trailing the kisses along the flesh that covered the bone
and up onto his cheeks until her lips rested against the corner
of his mouth, kissing that side before speaking. "Everything's
not alright," she began, moving her lips to the other corner
where she kissed that too, "everything's perfect." And with that
she let her lips slide against his, body shifting once more to
make the task easier as her hands cradled his rough cheeks.
