Sweet mother, sweet mother, send your child unto me... [p/Kida]

Moonlit night in the black garden, I feel my heart
slowly harden: A story, of lonely killer, like lone wolves but
they are ninjas.
Deidara was happy. Content, even. The snow in Edo was just as
relentless as the weather throughout Japan, and in some
instances appeared to be more relentless from the view of the
village. Thick patches of ice and snow had collected on the
rooftops, giving them a glazed look as the sun would rise and
begin to brighten the village. Atop one of the highest buildings
in the area, stood Deidara, her dark eyes looking sceptically
down onto the unsuspecting village and its inhabitants. Even
though it was early in the morning, Deidara was not the
slightest bit tired; this may have been due to the fact that on
the trip to Edo, she and Alana had travelled mostly at night to
avoid freezing-cold conditions while they slept. It was only the
day before, that the vampire had called her associate to rest
most of the day away as they would be moving out later that
night. Because of that, when they had actually arrived in Edo,
in a sense they were just waking up to their mission.
As the female knelt down on one knee, her eyes forever trained
on the village's ground level, she watched as more people from
different villages began to pour into Edo. Even though she was
on one of the highest spires in the area, and the only ones
normally that height were the opposition, Deidara made sure to
keep his visibility to as low as possible. As her eyes scanned
more and more people, the brunette managed to actually locate a
few of the targets on the list – the ones who had been marked to
meet their maker. Seeing pound-signs, Deidara would begin to
mentally check off the names of the unfortunate people of the
people in her head.
"So a few of the targets have already begun to move out for the
Hunger Trials.....Tch, if only they knew they were the ones
being judged today and not the combatants..." The Vampire said
in a low voice.
As she watched the different races from the various villages
begin to gather, Deidara took note of the more notable ones that
she could from where she was after a few minutes. Some she had
heard of before, and others were only just a name to her. One
such person was Darui, from outer Osaka. She knew nothing of,
nor cared about Darui's name or title. The only reason she had
even known who he was partially Is due to the fact of having
taken up the contract for Edo with the nobles. They had provided
the duo with basic knowledge of their village's status in
relations to others. They had a direct alliance with Osaka, and
because of that, Deidara had been able to research a bit more
about the royals' guard. Aside from the thane herself, Darui was
possibly the most powerful enemy from Osaka that she was likely
to encounter.
“Alana... Prepare to move out...” She growled.

Silent hand motions in the darkness, three quick shadows moved
through trees according to her orders. Second lieutenant Spectre
kept her ominous almost glowering blueish green eyes sharp and
alert her Stinger Claw at the ready, the scorpion her squad
mates called her, small and beautiful to look at until you
crossed her. She moved quickly, her orders to clear the area
outside Edo for a new strategic position to strike the enemy,
but she hadn't counted on seeing the opposition so soon.
She motioned her subordinates to halt and hold their positions
as she looked atop a spire gaining a quick glimpse at a woman,
'what the hell? They weren't supposed to be this far out' she
thought, rallying her troops to her. "X's farther out then intel
estimated, get frosty and stay ready.... Disperse, radio only if
situation gets dire, go..." she barked in a whisper, before
seemingly disappearing into the treetops, the only ghost corps
troop with the ability to do so having been spliced with the DNA
of a mummy that wasn't from earth.
Keeping her silence, she got closer to the woman she saw,now
tracking her solely to find a position to flank her from.
