The Kyufin Family

Hidden away from those who aren't of blood or bond. The Kyufin
family has long since upheld the belief that normals should
remain ignorant of the spirit world. They are healers by trade,
however there have been some who turned against the traditions
of the Kyufin and as such have had to be taken care of.
Now to make the ranks as clear and clean as I can.
Matriarch/Patriarch: These are heads of the family. If at any
point someone feels they aren't leading the family properly. A
shamanic duel will be declared. (Rules will be posted later)
Mentor: This shaman is the one who keeps the families memories,
traditions, and many of their secrets. None but the mentor is
capable of determining when a Kyufin is ready to begin their
shamanic training.
Guardian: This group of people is in charge of making sure that
the benevolent spirits are kept in check, also they are
considered the strongest of all the Kyufin shamans. But this is
misleading they are the most talented but not the strongest.
Also they must have the blessing of the Matriarch to be
considered a guardian.
Healer: These are considered the holiest of all shamans. They
are continuously in contact with the spirit world and constant
contact with the mentor. They do not fight at all instead if
they are attacked they use barriers and talismans to keep
enemies at bay.
Fledgling: They are the students that the mentor trains. They do
not have full powers and are kept in the Kyufin sanctuary until
the Mentor releases them.
-Tenants-
I: Keep the existence of Shamans and spirits a secret
II: Protect the mortal plane from attacks against it
III: Never betray the family. Betrayal means death
IV: Always trust that you elders are doing what they do to
protect you.
V: Never speak a secret.
VI: Never harm an innocent. Unless the innocent has harmed you.
VII: Do not break the chain of command. Unless you believe
someone is acting against the family.
VIII: Never harm a brother or sister
IX: To break a tenant is to break the family.
X: Never do something to impress or in expectant of a reward. Do
it because it is good to do.
Kyufin Bloodline:
Within the texts contains the secrets of the Kyufin Bloodline.
As such only members are able to know its contents.

Gazini had been given a title of Family Healer. He enjoyed this
very much for that means he wouldn't have to tap into his old
ways and just learn to heal. He had to watch over the lands of
the mortals from the ground up. Unlike most of the shamans his
element was Acid. He grew in the toxins of the earth, but he
also knew how to make many secret herbs of his own to fix just
about everything. He also knew where the So called "Fountain of
Youth" Was hidden since he is one with the realm. Out of the
Shamans; he would have been known as the Mortal Lover. He didn't
fall in love with one person, but all of them. Gazini could
always be seen in the realm of humans making sure they are
alright, healthy, and very well kept. Gazini had been many names
to these humans. Mother earth, Father, Brother, Great Healer,
Messiah, The bringer of life, etc... This flattered Gazini for
his dark father would have been called the complete opposite.
Gazini was currently waiting in the human realm for another
shaman today. He wanted to talk on a more spiritual level. It
had been some time since he had even seen the other shamans.
Being how he was, he lived by the second tenet. He had many
villages that he had protected. Only one of his villages were
ran over by a disease that he couldn't heal in time. The Aztecs
were great people, but then they all got sick at once and lost
order, and Gazini couldn't heal everyone in time. He would
always remember that clan of ancient people, so he devoted
himself to his alchemy. He promised he would be able to save
cities in seconds by the next time the world of man was in
danger.
Gazini sat in the middle of a forest in a different human realm
now. One that was not of the earth the Aztecs used to live.
No... This realm was different, this realm had many evil
energies, as well as many pure energies. Gazini liked being in
this realm because it had balance. It showed him what it was
like to be in a world of chaos, order, good, and evil. The best
part of this realm however is that the forests were untouched.
The mountains stood high, The sea rushed all around freely and
unmanned. This world felt like the old world, pleasing Gazini
perfectly.
Gazini started to Meditate in his tree, trying to feel the life
energy so he could tap into his spirit realm. His way of
entering the Spirit realm was considered out dated. Being an
ancient being it was hard not to fall into old habits, but
Gazini didn't care for the feedback of his brothers and sisters.
He felt that if he can tap into the true life stream of the
world, his knowledge of it would keep growing. He closed his
eyes and his green aura shot into the ground, trees, plants,
flowers, all the nature and earth around him. The forest grew
thick and colorful. Life had been given a second chance for all
that winter killed. The trees, flowers, and grass bloomed
elegantly. Gazini however seen the world in a different state of
mind. He had tapped himself into the spirit realm.

Opening his eyes Kae looks around he'd long since believed that
there people out there who no longer believed in the old ways.
Yet today he'd feel someone practicing them. He knew it wasn't
his wife because she was so near that he'd be able to hear her
voice, or sense her spirit wondering who would be doing this Kae
decides to go for a walk.
Quietly he slips out the front door wandering down an all too
familiar path, he'd memorized almost every path of the earth.
Even those that he himself had created. He'd smile quietly
remembering the old names he'd been granted by those he chose to
protect. He comes upon a being a slight bit older then himself,
he could see the beings many paths wrapped around himself like
snakes.
"It's been awhile old friend" Kae was perhaps one of the few
capable of spirit speak, it was typically referred to as the
gift of the gods. But he didn't view it as such. Rather he
viewed it as a curse. Every word he'd say was more then enough
to put most in a trance, he'd discovered awhile back that his
family was unaffected which made him happy. He could not imagine
his family being put under his control, he preferred to let the
tenants govern the family.
He sits down resting his staff against a nearby tree, he knew
Gazini would come back when he was good an ready to do so.
Looking around he could see so much more then he wished. Yet he
was also happy, it was more a sorrowful happiness but the same.

Gazini was deep into his spiritual realm. He felt the flutter of
wings rest upon one of his spirit trees. Gazini had lifted his
healing aura feeling the sorrow in the Cardinal's heart.
Gazini's spirit snake slithered it's way up to the bird and
coiled its warm scales around the bird's feet. Making sure the
bird was feeling the warmth of a friend. The snake also spoke in
the ancient language of the shamans, letting the Cardinal know
it was safe in its world.
Gazini had opened his orange glowing eyes. Seeing not only his
clan leader, but his spirit resting with him. Gazini had smiled
and spoke in his thousand voices. A trait most shamans have
never found for they never voiced the souls of their ancient
tongue. The voices spoke together in perfect unity, all
different, all harmonizing it seemed.
"Hello Brother. How long has it been since we have met on this
plain?" Gazini said in both a monotone, yet symphonic
multivoice.
Gazini had noticed that Kae had brought his staff. The staff had
Kae's mark on it
which made Gazini remember how Kae was as well an ancient
Shaman. The only one that Gazini known to be older than him. The
only one that may have known his father and Gazini's true name
and markings. However it was nice having a brother who didn't
look at him as the monster he could be. Gazini just smiled and
watched his Brother sit there as an equal, not as a leader, nor
a king, but another being in perfect comparison.

Watching the way the snake coiled around his spirit animal Kae
looked the snake in the eye and spoke sternly toward it "Release
my animal" without noticing what was going on the snake releases
the bird allowing it to fly freely. Kae then looks back toward
his friend "It has been quite sometime, oh how the days and
years just fade together anymore" Kae speaks almost sorrowful
yet as he raises his head toward the heavens a smile spreads
across his lips.
"I remember when we first met, ahh how the years changed us" a
glossy look spreads across Kae's face as he looks back upon that
day. Many people would be driven mad by the memories stored
within Kae. The ancient knowledge, the history, only one other
being was allowed to remember such things without being driven
mad. However this being hasn't shown their face in quite some
time.
Aslen returns from the memories looking upon his old friend once
more. "So what brings you so close to civilization? I thought
you were done with being so far from the soil and trees?" of
course he could tell that perhaps Gazini found some new place to
call his. Many shaman's were squabbling about territory these
days, which lead some to "that" path which removed a shaman from
the spirit world.

The spirit snake launched itself into Gazini's lap. Coiling
itself around his neck, smiling a slick and sly smile. Gazini
began to speak again in his multivoice. "Still you are jumpy
around my spirit. Then again you are the only one who has seen
that I have both entities inside my energy. I am surprised your
not always watching these days."
Gazini laughed and looked at the Cardinal. Watching its
movements with the quickest of eyes. Gazini closed his glowing
eyes and reopened them snapping out of the spirit realm. His
eyes faded to their original dark orange. Brushing his long
black hair behind his face he smiled and laughed.
"Kae it has been a long time since a Shaman has even came inside
one of my forests." Gazini gave a small smirk. " I've been told
I am to be watched ever since I saved the old world from
destruction with my.... Worldly powers." Gazini made sure to
have eye contact with Kae. Kae was one of the very few that
Gazini could actually show his full self too. Kae was the only
one Gazini showed his true voice too; mostly because all the
other Shamen knew that the Multivoice is a dark technique that
deals with the dead magic. Most if not all Shamans believe that
if you use Voodoo ever it becomes a sign of treason and evil.
Gazini however didn't tap into the dead energy of it, but the
life energy.
Gazini looked at the newly healthy forest. He knew it had yet
been touched by man. However he knew that this world will be
like the last. Mans want for global power had never ceased no
matter how many times it destroyed them. Gazini still smiled
however because his worlds always lasted a few billion years
though. Gazini however could not live that long as one person.
Only Kae knew the secret of Gazini being the reanimater of
himself and the worlds. As one dies So does he, but he is reborn
to create an new world for humans to live and destroy. Many
thought Gazini would go crazy from all the energy he had power
over. However, Kae knew that Gazini would never try to destroy
anything unless need be.
" Its been how long now since one of our 'Family' Has seen me?
10, 20 centuries?" He looked to Kae for closure. " It seems to
be that your the only 'brave' one to notice I don't do much harm
to people. I just heal and sometimes poison it seems." He looked
to the ground wearily. Gazini was getting older and older.
Everytime he had comeback from the dead alittle bit more of dead
energy flowed in his vains, a little bit more of the chaotic
energy. Gazini still tried his hardest to be both social, and
friendly to all, even though he was getting a bit less
everytime.

He looks toward the snake deciding not to force it away "You of
all people know that snakes eat birds. So naturally I'd avoid
snakes" he extends his hand out toward his staff making it fly
through the air into his hand. "The family is coming back, we
will once again regain our place amongst the world of shaman's.
However many fear this, they fear we'll be too powerful to
control. Especially if you join us as you have in the past. But
who's to say, perhaps this time they'll be willing to listen to
the voice of the spirits as they did in the past"
Kae rests against his staff "I promise things will be different,
many people believe as you do now. However even fewer still
follow the true path anymore, more have turned to the very way
you were supposed to. The children will have to rule this new
world, the elders like us must move out of their way. Guide them
unto the right path, who knows perhaps the spirits will return.
I've much work to do, you know my presence well enough." Kae
looks out at the sunset "Ancient, Past, Present, Future it
doesn't matter. Every sunset is as precious as the last, few
even recall the last real sunset they've witnessed"

"Snakes do eat birds, Spirits however do not devour other
spirits unless they are wraiths." he paused for a moment and
looked to the Sun. " The sunset has lost its love for me it
seems. All my work has needed the sun, and it repays me by
destroying each world I make." Gazini looked to the ground and
grabbed some dirt. He held it in his hand and caused it to melt
into acid. Once the acid touched the ground fresh grass began to
sprout out of the boring dirt. Gazini smiled and looked to his
friend.
"Kae. These young ones. The new shamans. There spirits aren't
true like mine and yours. They didn't earn them, they didn't
bond to them like we had too. I believe that we should...."
Another pause came as the dirt became fully covered in grass.
Many snakes had curled themselves against the trees." Show them
the true spirit realm. =" Gazini never thought he would have to
force the spirits into some of his fellow Shamans. Gazini used
to be young, robust, and loving to all not caring who had what
to their name. Now Gazini was getting older, wiser, which wasn't
always a good thing.
Gazini closed his eyes and reopened them to see both the
physical and spiritual realms at once. He noticed all the wild
spirits in this world. He watched them joyously spin and dance
in their rituals. He smiled softly then sighed. Looking into
Kae's eyes. " When is it when we are too meet brother?"

Kae eye's briefly flash silver before he replies "We'll meet
when the place is complete, I'm not sure when they will get
around to finishing it. But then I've never worried about it
before. So why should I worry now" he starts to feel a stirring
against the wind smiling more to himself then anyone else.
"I do hope they aren't too late" his voice gentle with the gift
no where to be felt or heard. "So anyway, I think our days of
destroying worlds are gone. Before we know it there will others
like us building and destroying worlds as we have before them."
Kae's old fingers running along the intricate designs of his
staff. There was one thing he was always happy about though.
Despite that he was given head of the family, his brother was
always there by his side. Despite their fights, many arguments.
Neither left the other out to dry. "Ah, yes. Do you remember our
first fight?" Kae asks going back down memory lane.

Gazini Laughed and nodded, " If they ask me to build another
world I think I might cry for once." He chuckled letting his
spiritual form flow into the ground again filling the ground
with many nutrients. He than walked to the small river dipping
his hands in and splashed his face a few times. " You were
always the care free one." Gazini rested his feet in the water
making it bigger letting all the plants get their need of water
filled.
He scratched his head and smiled slightly, " You mean when I got
this." He pointed to the scar on his rib from the cardinal."
Yeah I remember it. It was fun while it lasted. If you really
think about it we have never really full on fought though. Our
feuds are always stopped by the fragile world underneath us."
Gazini laughed alittle and turned to his brother. " Remember
when we made the first world?"
