Technically no longer a "Kingdom" The Earth Nation is now
governed by elected President. Having been united many years
ago, the Earth nation is a symbol of Strength for all the world
       to aspire to.

Adrenaline coarsed through Zico's veins as he fled off the stone
path and into the the forest! Under the bright midday sun, he
took comfort in having the cover of the trees, and the shade
offered him more security than he could put into words! He
didn't know if he was still being pursued, but he wouldn't dare
risk it! He needed concealment and fast! But this land was
       unfamiliar to say the least!
Nothing around him appeared familiar. From the trees to the
animals, there was nothing to give him a clue as to which
direction he should go! All he could do wander further into the
forest, and away from the open path! His heart pounded against
his chest as he heard unfamiliar noises coming from every
direction! Any one of them could be her! Or at the very least, a
predator stalking him as it's next meal! To be honest, the
       predator sounded preferable..
After wandering for some time, Zico found his way to a cave. It
had a small opening for it's mouth and seemed as good a place as
any to hide out! His eyes adjusted quickly to the darkness, and
within it, he instantly felt safer than he had out in the open!
He tucked himself away in a corner and waited. For what exactly,
he was unsure. But at the very least, he had gotten out of the
       Sun!

       Sunset...
He had gotten a fair amount of rest. Now Akira felt far more
comfortable traveling outside. Capable of hiding in the shadows,
it was the best time to head out. But where was he heading? He
needed a higher vantage point to decide! With almost feline
agiliity, he leapt up into the branches of the trees, moving
higher and higher until he could see something other than green!
And there is was! City lights! He knew there had to be people
and cities on the mainland as well! And there was one, not far
from him at all! He would make his way toward the city, and see
if it was suited for his purposes! And then he would move along!
But as he made his way through the treetops, the view got
clearer! And what came into clear view was the mass of bodies
that waited just outside of the City! Bodies that were
infinitely familiar! They were already here! If that was the
case, the best thing for Zico to do would be to make himself
scarce! There was no need for him here! But just as he was
preparing to take off, he saw her! Making her way into the
forest, still hunting him, no doubt. With the Sun departing, it
was unlikely she would travel far into the Woods. He decided to
let her pass for now, then he would ambush her while she rested!
That was the beauty in their opposite natures! They repelled
each other so beautifully, all he had to do was await nightfall

Calia and Xanther slowly advanced into the Forest. Nitara had
said that Zico was hiding in a cave some ways into the Forest,
but with the Sun going down, it was probably best if she set up
camp, and go looking for him in the morning! There was no doubt,
he would travel under the cover of night, but she would be able
to track him, and she still had the element of surprise!
She made her way off the path, and headed to a small clearing,
where she made a fire, and lit her surroundings. She was
hesitant to go to sleep but rest was a necessity if she was
going to continue her search in the morning. She caught a few
fish in the nearly stream, and fed both herself and Xanther
before leaning against him on the ground, and closing her eyes.
       Tomorrow was the day...

Just south of the outer most wall of Ba Sing Se, next to the
outflow of the river Laogai there rested a large field of green
grass spread wide against the typical sandy landscape. Short
walls of rock and earth deflected the harsh breeze from the area
and prevented sand from infiltrating the outcrop. Among this sea
of grass, many small white four legged creatures roamed freely
and grazed. What was once just a few pets had grown into a
rather large herd of beasts. The biggest maybe five feet around
and the smallest a mere foot. The shaggy horned creatures seemed
       pleased enough with their home.
Deeper into the grassland and closer to the wall, there sat a
small house. This one bedroom ranch style seemed to blend
seamlessly into the wall itself. There is a nice porch and on
this porch, in his rather large rocking chair, sat Xo. Many of
the smaller creatures he had yet to name surrounded him. They
bounded off his body as he leaned back in the chair and slept.
Next to the house was a patch of hardened dirt, this is where he
trained the new generation. Here, and on occasion, inside of the
city is where the next great earth benders trained under their
master. The sound of rocks being raised and earth being molded
echoed through the valley, even as the sun began to set over the
wall. And Xo continued to nap, his fuzzy friends either joining
him, or continuing to use is large form as climbing or bouncing
       practice.

       “ARGHHHHH!”
A scream erupts from deep within her chest, frustrated enough to
knock the whole house down as she rips the scroll she was given
to revise in two. The whole night she had spent reading, and
memorising little details about focusing energy, and the
generations that had come before her, only it proved helpless
because there was an essential part missing. The heart of the
story. She was sure as day her master had deliberately left it
out to annoy her, to get under her skin like he always did. He
seemed to enjoy getting her angry. Her body shakes with the
emotion as she stands up, way too fast because her vision blurs
for a second but she manages to catch herself, storming past her
       bedroom, and stomping outside.
The cool breeze seems to relax her some, fingers scrunching up
the torn paper in her palm as she jumps off the patio to make
her way to the training grounds. Despite her setbacks
academically, Iyah was quick to learn the arts of bending and
fighting. Stealth was on her side. One look at her and people
assumed she was a fire bender, her temper didn’t match that of
her comrades and town-folk but she didn’t care that she stuck
       out like a sore thumb.
Making her way up the rocky terrain, she catches a glimpse of
all the fury animals flying about, puffing out her cheeks as her
honey-glazed haze comes to rest on the mammoth of a man sleeping
in his favourite chair. He was so big, yet so soft. A walking
contradiction but she couldn’t deny his brilliance, though she
would never admit that out loud. She makes her way over to him,
a piece of rock levitating beside her, channelling all her
energy into it so it races past her and hopefully manages to
knock him out of his chair, aiming it at his forehead. Though
his eyes were closed, she knew he was always aware of his
surroundings, the man had a sixth sense.

The frustrated screams of one of his students was enough to lull
him from his slumber, though he did not move from his perch. It
took Xo no time to figure out who had started shouting because
he felt the heated steps ripple through the earth. Down the
patio steps, two halves of the page clenched in her fists.
Xo knew she must have not liked the missing part. But of course,
that was part of the training. He snickered with his eyes closed
as she drew close enough to him. As her footsteps finished, Xo
simply knew. He always seemed to know.
The man twisted his foot against the ground, sending out one
more seismic sensing wave as Iyah went through the motions to
fling the small stone at him. He grunted out as she finished the
steps and simply rolled off the side of his chair to avoid the
incoming projectile. Small fluffs of white fur took off in all
directions as the large man moved. They created a smokescreen
for his own movements and by the time they would clear out
enough for Iyah to get another look at her master, it would be
       too late.
The large man hit the ground as he rolled from his chair,
sending a small fissure from his position to hers. The fissure
would stop just under foot and then send a small pillar of earth
up through the ground to hopefully throw his young apprentice
off balance and, if not dodged, would hopefully flip them
completely on the ground. Xo would remain in position and begin
to do push-ups as if nothing had happened. “One Thousands and
two, one thousand and three, one thousand and four…” He would
count out before he pushed himself up onto his feet and let out
       a meaty laugh.
“Ohh! Iyah! Did not see you there. I was simply working out! How
fares the scroll? Did you finish?” He lets out another larger
than life laugh that seems to echo off the walls of Ba Sing Se.
The small animals seem to almost join him as they make a cute
Baa-ing noise that copies the beat of his laugh.

Her brows furrowed as the animals scurry away, completely aware
he used them as a distraction, it was a favourite technique of
his; distract her then get ready to attack. Though she didn’t
have his sixth sense, Iyah knew him well enough to know he’d try
to get her angrier, and what would get her more angry than
outsmarting her, and also getting a laugh out of it in the
process? A bead of sweat trickled down her forward as she
planted her feet steadily into the ground, glued to her spot and
finding her balance just in time as the boulder sprouts from the
       earth beneath.
Her quick reflexes save her and she manages to maintain her
balance and become one with the giant stone beneath her, flying
into the air with it but flipping backwards in the sky to land
       on her feet.
She mimics his laugh, only she doesn’t make a sound, her facial
features twisting and contorting to copy him the best she could
before storming over to him, throwing the pieces of the torn
       scroll onto his chair.
“What happens? Did they fight? Did they win? Did anyone die?”
The sound of the animals irritated her but she ignored them most
of the time, while others enjoyed them as companions, Iyah was
very particular when it came to piece of mind, and she couldn’t
have that with these annoying furry beings running around. She
waits, standing, fully aware of the fact that this was used to
test her mentally and that the real challenge would be the
physical one she was about to endure. He didn’t go easy on her
but she enjoyed it, after all, she wasn’t a china doll, but a
sturdy rock. He reminded her of that every single day. Perhaps,
that was the reason she wasn’t very ladylike. In the sense, she
wasn’t delicate or prim and proper.
She was a mess. A sandstorm.

She had masterfully avoided his trap and Xo puffed his chest as
she continued her storm toward him. The scroll she threw simply
bounced off the man’s chiseled pecs and landed flatly on the
ground in front of his feet. His one good eye opens further than
normal to reveal the green underneath as he bent down and
retrieved the two halves of the scroll from the ground. He gave
them a quick once over, twisting the paper one way and the other
to make sure he saw it correctly.
He would roll up the scroll, place his hands on his hips and
triumphantly declare “I do not know, Student, for you did not
finish the scroll.” His face splits as his smile widens as far
as it can go. “And it seems we will never know as you have
destroyed the story.” His eye seemed to close once more as his
feet spread further from one another. He took his time to crouch
deeply, giving himself a deep stretch.
Iyah. She was never really good at the scrolls, but she knew how
to keep the old man on his toes. “I see you want to get to the
physical part. I will oblige.” The training grounds seemed to
quiet down and other students stopped what they where doing and
turned toward the ring. “Defend yourself, Student. If you CAN!”
Xo lifted his large leg and brought it crashing to the ground
with a hearty “haHA!” An earth wall sprung up in front of Xo and
the moment it rose to height, The man crashed his fists into the
center, sending the 7’ high wall towards Iyah.

If there was one thing to be said about her master, it’s that
while his smile and laughs were infectious, he knew how to get
under her skin like no other. She was lava as her heart bubbled
in response to what little he offered her.
“There’s more to destroy, and I’ll find it, you know I will,”
her eyes scan the area but she wasn’t entirely serious about
looking for the missing part of the scroll in that exact moment.
There were more important matters at hand.
Xo never gives chances. He likes to catch his students off guard
so as he declares the start of a fight, her eyes widen and she
quickly pulls back, twisting and jumping off the patio and into
the ring, where other students had gathered to watch quietly.
Iyah didn’t know what he had in store but her eyes scanned the
area, looking for any ripple in the earth that might give him
away, and give her an advantage. As his feet shook the ground
and the earth rumbled beneath them, she conjures a dome to lift
and barricade the attack, but she wasn’t as fast as he was. And
the dome that appeared around her wasn’t nearly as strong or
sturdy as his giant wall. It came crashing down, the dome
offering some defence but not enough, watching it crumble to the
ground, lifting her arms to brace against the attack of the
rocks that fell, and bouncing back to avoid any more. Blood
painted her forearm, and her left cheek, licking her bottom lip
as she looked over at her master, now standing at the opposite
       side of the field.
“Is that all you got old man?!”
A coy smile splits her face in two as she lifts herself into the
air and comes crashing down, her hands sinking into the earth,
forcing it to ripple to his feet until two stones slither out of
the ground and lock around his feet, should he stay in his spot.
Some rocks around her begin to levitate as she gets ready to
launch her second attack. Should the man have moved and
deflected the first attack, the rocks would morph into earth
balls, and she would use all her might to project them into his
area, hoping to get at least one strike in. Trails of sweat
paint her forehead as her chest heaves up and down, trying to
locate her composure and ready herself for any surprise attacks.
