       Recovery of Power

       Proxobytes: Biological enhancements produced by Novaworks, used
       to alter human DNA. After completing High School, Proxobytes can
       be purchased and customized to virtually any specifications,
       allowing a normal human to attain super abilities. The stronger
       the ability, the higher the price.
       Proxobytes have added to a distinct separation between classes.
       The lower class typically can't afford Proxobytes, and adults
       without abilities are seen as lesser than, and treated as such
       by the superpowered upper class.
       Bryant Steele was a member of this struggling Lower Class. At
       the age of 25, he was still without the enhancements of
       Proxobytes. Statistically, that meant it was unlikely he would
       ever receive them. And he was fine with that; until his mother
       fell ill. Without a cure for her illness, the only chance for
       her survival.
       In order to save his mother's life, he broke into a Novaworks
       Lab, hoping to steal a common Proxobyte used give it's recipient
       quick recovery and ability to heal from most illnesses quickly.
       He located the stock of premade Bytes and took the one that he
       needed. But before he could escape, he was captured by security!
       He sat in holding, assuming that the Police were coming to
       apprehend him. But he was instead greeted by a man in a suit who
       made him an offer. After hearing the story, the man offered to
       arrange for the Byte to be given to his mother, in exchange for
       assistance with Protobyte research. Bryant quickly agreed, it
       being a way to help his mother AND keep him out of jail.
       But the "Assistance" Bryant agreed to was worse than any jail
       sentence he could have been given. For weeks, he was locked away
       in a secured lab and experimented on over and over! He was
       injected with inactive Proxobyte, and then observed for endless
       hours at a time for changes to his DNA. Each injection was like
       hours of torture and they didn't appear to have any intention of
       releasing him!
       But one day Bryant discovered something. Though his DNA showed
       no signs of being affected by the experimentation,(This is
       important) but he had actually acquired a power! And a powerful
       one at that! He had gained the ability to steal powers from
       other Proxobyte affected people! After managing a snatch three
       from different lab technicians, he made his escape!
       Bryant rushed home to find his phone riddled with messages! His
       mother had passed during his captivity! Novaworks hadn't even
       followed through with their end of the deal! Now it was war!
