       Stormy Demons

A flourishing rain-forest surrounded by a great river that's fed
by a giant waterfall. The outskirts hide a grave secret.

The air was thick and damp today; the clear sign of a heavy rain
about to pour through the area. The trees swayed with each
passing breeze that brushed their heavy leaves and thick trunks.
The sounds of rustling foliage was music to Tempest's as she
made her way deeper into the forest. "Yaaaawwnnn" A deep yawn
spilled from her lips as the woman stretched; deep sea blue eyes
gazed up at the sky. The broken skyline interrupted by the
canopy of trees that loom overhead. Her white floaty hair
dancing with the passing wind. "Hmm.." She thought to herself
boredly. It has been a while since Tempest had made her way to
the ground; she had spent so much time in the clouds that her
bare feet upon the grass felt oddly sensational to her. Now, she
had no aim, no place in mind to go. . . Just wondering about and
       taking in the scenery.

       Panic, Anxiety, Terror
There was little thought in her mind; Only pure adrenaline
coarsing through her veins as she ran frantically through the
woodlands, clad in only a black collar of some sort. Attached to
the collar, were a set of chains that binded her arms to her
chest. Roots and branches tore at her bare feet and ankles, but
she didn't seem to notice. She could only focus on getting as
far away as possible. If caught, her captors would not be kind
enough to grant her a quick death.
She must have run ten miles before her legs finally gave out on
her. It wasn't until her face hit the dirt that the accumulated
pains spread across her body. She was covered head to toe with
scrapes and bruises from the local plantlife. The soles of her
bare feet were raw and bloody. Her neck had been singed worse
than ever before, though it was hidden by her collar. But worst
of all, she had been shot in the shoulder!
The bullet wound wasn't the worst thing, in her mind, because of
the pain necessarily. But rather because it cause her to realize
that she must have left a trail of blood! She began calculating
her likelihood of being caught in her mind. One of them was
dead. But the other had suffered non-fatal injuries. Backup
wouldn't have been far behind. It would take time to mobilize a
search party, giving her perhaps an hour's head start. She
decided that it was an almost certainty that she would be
captured. She contemplated what she could have done differently,
as she finally faded out of consciousness...

At this point, Tempest was growing bored. . . She hadn't
descended upon this land in quite some time and nothing exciting
has happened since she had left the city to return to the fauna
of the dense forests. But, just as the young goddess was about
to depart, there was an odd shifting in the wind; with it, a
scent of sweat and blood. Turning about quickly, Tempest
surveyed the area. She quickly discovered where the scent was
emanating from due to her affinity to her surroundings. Not
knowing who the scent belonged to, Tempest cautiously made her
way toward the culprit, raising herself from the ground as to
not make any unintended sounds. Within minutes, Tempest had come
across a prone woman who looks to be damaged. Judging by her
attire, Tempest could only assume she had escaped from
somewhere. But where? And from whom? Of course, this was only
speculation. Tempest was very wary of how she made contact with
the woman and was sure to check her surroundings just in case
there were others. As far as she could tell, there was no other
beings hiding about, but she couldn't shake the feeling of
urgency. Taking a deep breath, Tempest summoned a wall of dense
fog that spread for miles around them to blind any pursuers, but
this would only be a momentary distraction, but it would give
her time to assess the situation.
The goddess wasn't a healer, but she could speed up the process
with Dark Water. Tempest summoned the water through the pours of
her palms and bathed the woman in the semi thick liquid; careful
not to actually touch her. If successful, the water would seep
into the woman's flesh and began to close the wounds and give
the woman a quick boost of energy. Dependent upon how worse for
wear the woman was, this could take a while and be temporary.
Tempest was ready for that as she formed herself into the fog
itself and waited for the woman to regain consciousness. She
would not show her form until she was sure the woman was not a
threat. Until then, she would be an invisible voice. .

There was no way for her to tell how long she had been out. But
when she regained consciousness, the first thing she noticed was
that she wasn’t in as much pain as she had anticipated. In fact,
many of her wounds had closed up at least partially. She was
still bound by chains though. None of it made sense! She looked
around to see that her surroundings had filled with fog. She
couldn’t see far ahead of her, but she could sense that she was
being watched. Someone was nearby! Her heart rate immediately
spiked once more! They had found her!
She began examining her surroundings. She couldn’t effectively
run away when she was unable to see through the fog. But she
could use it for cover, and find a good hiding place! It was her
only hope at this point! She crept forward, hoping to find a
cave, or somewhere she could hide to no avail. She ended up
settling for a collection of bushes, positioning herself behind
them after covering her trail. Whoever it was that had been
watching her was still nearby. But she was unable to locate
them. If only she could find them, it would be easy to get away,
but she had no idea where they were watching from! Their
presence seemed to come from every direction! It seemed it would
become a waiting game. Eventually, one would locate the other,
and that was when the battle of wits would begin.

A vision flooded the mind of Tempest: Torture, violence, abuse.
Yet, the visages were so fragmented and distorted that Tempest
couldn't exactly make them out. Fate is a cruel child; holding a
magnifying glass to the ants that are humanity. As the woman
arose, Tempest could sense the fear that flooded her body. This
woman wasn't a direct threat and Tempest could show herself
without much to worry about. But, the thought of that made her
smirk internally; why would she worry about this woman, knowing
that very little could compete with her. "Calm down. . ."
Tempest's voices flowed from the various directions that the fog
had consumed. "I'm not here to harm you. . " The voices cascaded
through the forest and blew the brush that the woman hid behind
as if a knowing wind sought her out.
Suddenly the winds churned, causing the fog to spiral into a
slow moving vortex around the two. Tempest, would them form
behind the woman, showing off her full form. Her white cloud
like hair drifted from her head like vapors. "Are you alright?"
The goddess asked, showing genuine concern for the stranger
before her. "Don't worry about anyone. They can't see us, yet
alone see through this fog. . ." She did her best to reassure
the woman of her safety, but who knows what she could be
thinking at this moment. Especially since a woman - Who's
stature isn't as intimidating as the stranger's- just appeared
       out of nowhere behind her.

The voice was soothing, comforting even. It made her want to
drop her guard. But that made it all the more dangerous. She had
encountered that kind of voice before; The kind that made her
feel safe and secure. It had been a trap every time! She turned
around slowly and watched the creature who had spoken to her. It
was a woman... There hadn't been any women pursuing her. Could
she really be there to help? Was she responsible for healing her
       wounds?
Her face was inquisitive as she slowly approached the strange
woman, looking her over with each step as if searching for a
weapon, or some form of hidden threat. She didn't speak a word
as she approached. But once she was mere feet away, she lept
forward, quickly placing her lips on the woman's and kissing her
heavily! The kiss was intense and passionate, or so it seemed.
The nude woman's hands roamed as she kissed her, sending tingles
down the stranger's spine. but this was her strength.
The chained woman had a particularly useful power. She could
freely control the senses of anyone she made contact with for up
to a minute after that contact was broken! While the Goddess
tried to make sense of what was happening, the nameless Vixen
would make her escape! Running as fast as she could, and
searching for a new hiding place. It was possible the woman back
there was truly trying to help her, but it wasn't worth the
risk! She ducked into a nearby cave and pressed her back against
the wall, breathing heavily. Her thumb lightly brushed against
her lips as she thought back on the woman she had run away from.
The effects of her kiss would have worn off by now, but
hopefully she had put enough distance between them. Her lips
       sure were soft though...

There was nothing... No words, no reply, simply pure silence
before before the woman pounced upon Tempest with a deep kiss.
It was surprising; to the point where the goddess' whole body
tensed before feeling this soothing and tranquil release. It was
like nothing she had ever felt before. A soft yet powerful
interlocking of the lips was nothing that the Mistress of
Weather had ever felt before; she was stunned! Her body felt
tingles scatter throughout her nervous system that shot through
her like arcing lighting between clouds.
For what felt like hours, Tempest was locked within a smooch
that took her by storm. She could feel the presence of this
woman; her kiss was enlightening. She could feel a moan escape
her lips and as she went to reciprocate the kiss, the woman was
gone! The passage of time, her body, even her mind had escaped
her; she had no idea what had happened! The fog had cleared and
what surrounded her was a group of people in strange outfits.
They seemed very volatile as if Tempest herself has done
       something wrong.
She could hear one of the men say something about a prisoner and
how Tempest had helped her escape. She tried to reply, but her
lips were still radiation from the woman's kiss. As they
approached, Tempest struggled to gain control of her body. As if
by sheer will, her hands were able to move again. She twitched
and finally was released from the spell that was cast upon her
by the unnamed woman; she wasn't sure if this was through her
own power or something else, but that didn't matter. Her
normally sky blue eyes suddenly turned cold and pure white.
Lightning permeated from her eyes and over her flesh. The men
were surprised, yet they stood their ground.
"You idiots chose the wrong person to pursue..." Tempest's three
voices boomed from her lips; the sound of which was much darker
and stronger than what should naturally come from someone of her
size and stature. Her fingers flicked which caused bolts of
lightning to arc from them and electrocute the men who
surrounded her. After they were dispatched, Tempest's body
returned to normal and she returned to her search for the
fleeing woman. "Hey!" Tempest called out. "I think they are
gone!" She had no idea where the woman had went, but she had
nothing else to do for the time being, so she would spend the
time looking for the woman who had left an impression upon her
       with just one kiss.

The sounds on the outside were intense, despite being some
distance away! Familiar voices, followed by unfamiliar ones,
speaking in unison! And finally screams, and the sound on bodies
hitting the ground! The woman clung to the walls of the cave for
dear life! She could only hope that she wouldn't be found! Her
fear of capture far surpassing her curiosity of that was
       happening outside!
Her chest heaved as she attempted to catch her breath.
Everything had gone silent! The men were no longer calling out!
Did that mean they were no longer in pursuit? What had happened
out there? What had caused them to scream out in pain? Had it
been the woman she encountered? If so, that made her more
       dangerous than they were!
And then her voice rang out once more! She called out to the
hidden prisoner, claiming that her pursuers were gone! Could it
be a trap? Was she working with, or for them? It was definitely
a possibility. But her voice, and presence had been so soothing
before! Before she could even make sense of her actions, she
found her feet carrying her out of the mouth of the cave, and in
the direction of the voice! Moments later, she was peeking at
her through a bush. She dared not approach; She dared not speak
up. She simply looked, having no idea that she was staring at a
literal Goddess! The chains around her wrists and ankles had
broken the skin by now, opening a path for droplets of blood to
work their way toward the ground, and forcing a tiny whimper
from her lips. Eyes wide, she quickly covered her mouth with her
hands. She could only hope she hadn't been heard...

As Tempest searched for the girl, she pondered how she was able
to effect her in such a way. Usually anyone who tries to enter
mind or body in unwanted means, would be consumed by Oro. . .
She couldn't understand this. Maybe it wasn't a possession of
sorts, maybe it was something more. Or, maybe Tempest is just
over thinking things. Sighing, she continued to look for the
prisoner. So far, the nameless girl had kept her whereabouts
expertly hidden, even from a thief herself. It was impressive.
As she passed under trees and through brush, she wondered how
the hell this chick had gotten so far so quickly. Maybe she
wasn't even in the forest any longer; that could be a
possibility after all, she didn't know how long she was stuck in
stasis. "If I find her..." Tempest muttered as she approached a
group of caves. She looked toward the cave's openings and found
them to be a tight fit... Her brows furrowed at the mere thought
of small spaces. Taking a few steps back, Tempest heard the
slight whimper and felt the moisture from the cave. "****.." She
muttered under her breath. She was in there, but Tempest
definitely didn't want to go in after her. "Hey, girl!" Tempest
called out, making sure to stay a considerable distance away
from the tight opening of the cave. Her symphonic voices
remaining in a soft unison. Blue slitted eyes retaining the lock
on the entrance of the cave.
