       The wandering "monk"
       By: Hiro +Mind of a Virtuoso+ Date: June 12, 2017, 10:02 pm

"Oh Christ. Where could I have gotten to now?" A soft,
exasperated sigh passes Kendall's cracked lips. He managed to
get himself lost once more; a product of his casual consumption
of wine, as the trip wore on. This wasn't his first rodeo and it
certainly wouldn't be his last; he just needed to keep from
losing track. With that thought, his right hand reached for the
decorated bo staff hanging off his back, pulling it to the front
of him; so that the top was pointed to the sky. Reaching forward
and using his left hand, he slides his right hand to the golden
cap at the top; twisting and removing aforementioned cap.
Leaning the top towards him, he closes his eyes and opens his
mouth; as the crimson wine flows into his gaping mouth. This was
the very thing he was trying to stop doing, but of course he
would never stop. Alcohol and wine specifically had become a
vice of his; a way of coping with his vagabond lifestyle. Before
the staff could empty entirely, he tipped it back to a standing
position; twisting the cap back on tightly. Using his right
hand, he places the staff back on his back; until he needs
       another drink, or feels threatened.
Kendall looked around to the multitude of tress that
surrounded him, many of them were massive in size; though some
of them were still relatively young. The forest was a beautiful
place to be lost, the tops of the trees allowing only a small
bit of sunlight through; allowing for truly indescribable
sight. Though there seemed to be no sign of wildlife, Kendall
was fine with this; it meant there was no threat of being
attacked by anything of formidable size. He was a very guarded
individual, priding himself on his ability to flee, or avoid
conflict at all cost. This had kept him alive up to this point
and he would see that it would; into the foreseeable future.
Things had started to become humid and uncomfortable in the
       heart of the forest, but this would not truly affect Kendall;
for his clothing afforded him beneficial comfort. A long,
ornamental, orange monk robe covered his frame; finely crafted,
wooden sandals adorning his feet. His choice of attire had led
to many a confusion through his travels, being mistake for a
monk was not the worst thing though. The shaven, smooth bald
head did not help the case; though he did this simply to deal
with heated areas. His staff also assisted in the confusion and
that was understandable; for he had gained most of his
       belongings from a monastery.

Imaretie heard of the commotion from miles away. Several forest
creatures told Immy in their own way.Someone not meant to be
here had entered the forest. She pulled up the hood of form
fitting leather outfit given to her by animals.A silent prayer
whispered as Immy took off. Today was among the hottest days she
had encountered. Sweat beaded on her forehead. The shadows she
moved through did little to cool her.
Gracefully she carried on, green eyes bright as she looked from
under her hood. Moving so fast her feet barely making ripples as
she ran over the river. Never sinking. Immaretie was among the
fastest in the forest, almost being transparent as she raced to
find the stranger. Her duty being to protect this land for
eternity. Her immortality being her curse and gift. Should she
ever love someone she would be stripped of it and forced to live
out the rest of her life as a human. Or so tale was told.
She slowed when his sent hit her. A nice pleasant yet musky
smell. Not the fake smells campers sprayed on when they came to
stay. Immy only stood and kept watch when they were on the edge.
But this man was near the middle. Close to the resting place of
her people. She may have been the last of her kind and not human
anymore, but she still protected them.
His orange robe caught her eye and silently she stopped in a
shadow, hand on her blade. She sniffed the air then climbed up
in the tree to hide in the leaves. Immy would follow him if he
went any closer to her people. Or perhaps she would get her
forest friends to guide him out with gentle guiding. By which
she meant have a bear scare him.

"Where do I want to go from hereeee?" His thoughts were
becoming increasingly incoherent; the sweet wine was taking it's
full, intended effect. Without anyone warning, or further
thought to himself; he turns to the left and begins moving what
he thinks is West. Of course, being in a slightly drunken
stupor; he had absolutely no idea in which direction he was
moving. There was a slight stumble to each of his steps, gaining
their own rhythm and occurring more often than not.
Being his paranoid self, he had no idea whether anyone was
truly watching him, or not; it did not matter. He would always
believe that eyes follow him, that there is someone in the
shadows stalking his every move. His past had given him reason
to be paranoid; having experienced the bitter taste of betrayal
before. This is why Kendall was usually alone, always staying
guarded and cautious to the intimidating unknown.
Upon traveling for twenty minutes without halt, Kendall comes
across a rather sizable stump; deciding it was best to take a
meditation break here. As he stumble over to the stump, he
climbs cautiously onto the tree stump; almost falling off twice
before balancing himself. Slowly and methodically, he lowers
himself down onto the stump; forcing his legs to cross
       underneath him. Each lanky arm, shoots out to full extension;
the tips of his pointer fingers and thumbs pressing tightly
against one another. With this, he slowly hangs his head
       slightly, his eyes shutting tightly.
Every thought being purged from his mind, as he seeks to
attain quintessential focus. Within a matter of five minuets,
Kendall had cleared his mind and found that flawless level of
focus. The monks that had given him his gear and his delectable
wine; had also taught him how to achieve ascended levels of
focus. During this time of extreme concentration, his aura
begins to flicker and flare around his frame; giving off an
increasingly bright glow. Three colors construct the energy
surrounding kendall: Emerald green, Crimson red and royal blue.
A beautiful dance of seemingly orchestrated energy flows around
him; consuming the entirety of the stump and himself.
During his time in the meditative state, he could feel the
presence of another nearby; affirming his paranoid ways. It was
not an animal, or any creature along those lines; it was most
definitely human, or humanoid in nature. It had been following
him along his travels through this forest, though he had no idea
where it was; or what it's intentions are. The only thing he
knew, is that there was another someone within his vicinity and
that was cause enough to alarm his enhanced senses. With the
torrent of energy flowing and his staff at his back; he was
ready to snap out of his trance like state, at any given moment.

Imaretie watched curiously as he walked around. What was this
man doing? He didnt seem at all interested in what he could gain
from here. She was curious and befuddled by him. But when he
started moving Immy followed at a short distance.
She had become so engrossed in him that she had not realized how
close they had gotten to the very place she didnt want him to
go. Both embarrassed and angry with herself she jumped into his
view as he made himself comfortable.
Her hood fell back and her hair fell in his face when she stood
nose to nose with him, small knife pressed to his throat gently.
"Why are you here? This is MY home and you are not welcome! At
that moment a deer sped into the area and stood behind her,
breathing heavily as if he were ready to attack.
Immy realized the deer was acting off her vibes. "DONT MOVE."
She said before stepping back, dragging her hand down the deers
snout. "Its ok friend. He is no threat to us yet, therefore he
is a guest. Ill handle our misguided guest. Go. Ill call if I
need you. " She smacked his rump and sent on his way. Immy
turned back to the man then, awaiting his explanation.

       Every step made, every breath taken, every sound produced;
he could sense it all and hear it all. There was definitely
someone within his vicinity. Where this being was? He had no
idea, but he knew that they were stalking him; with possibly
       malicious intentions. Though he was inebriated and meditating;
he was more than prepared to respond, to any threat presented to
him. His enhanced senses had their limits, being the reason he
       could not see the being, that inhabited the forest with him;
       giving fault to his ability.
"I did not see your name on it." A soft chuckle passed his
curled lips, as he spoke with a slight slur; eyes opening to
gaze upon the being before him. His eyes begin to glow with a
       fiery crimson hue, as he looked this person in their eyes;
Kendall's gaze was piercing and focused with full intention.
"You can own a home, you can not truly own nature; this may be
where you reside, but it is not your's" His voice was stern, the
tone having deepened more so than before; he had not time for
       petty threats.
"Next time, bring a bigger knife and press it harder." With
       those words, his feet press gently against the being's thighs;
as he presses with enough force, to not hurt the being, but to
force himself backward. As his neck slips away from the blade,
he could feel a nick; similar to a cut he would have acquired
shaving. As his body seemingly tumbled backwards, he managed to
catch himself with his left knee and right fist; burying both
into the earth below him firmly. He had not time to prepare
himself, so he drunkenly stumbled to a standing position; his
arms fully extended before him at chest height.
This was the secret to his ability to fight, he had be
trained to be most efficient under these conditions; being
heavily inebriated and being under extreme amounts of stress. He
continued to stumble and sway, from side to side; seeming that
he could collapse under his own weight at any moment. His fiery
crimson eyes, continued to lock gaze with the other being's; he
would not let this presumed assassin out of his sight.
"It is probably safe....if...if I preeepare." His thoughts
       rang out loud within his own mind, as he nodded to himself;
talking and holding a conversation with himself. Surely, he
would come across as some disturbed drunkard; that was all a
part of his game. A flicker of color sparks, a stiff breeze
shoots through out the forest; as his aura begins to flare up
calmly around him. Emerald green was the color of choice, as the
energy danced beautifully around his frame; coexisting with
       Kendall.

Immy gave a growl and snapped her fingers. At first nothing
happened. She let out a short whistle and a small humming slowly
began to sound in the distance. She smiled and dusted his feet
prints off her legs. "You're right. My name is not on any tree
or rock. Or in any river. However, it is in the blood myself and
my ancestors have given to this soil means something."
By now the humming was getting louder. Immy smiled and tilted
her chin up as humming birds flew around the drunken man. "The
animals and plant life here has coexisted with me a long time
and they help me out. As its time to help you." She dropped her
chin and the circling humming birds squirted water at the
drunken man. leading him away from the resting ground of her
people by leaving one clear path for him to run as they
       assaulted him with water.
"As for my small knife it is for protection not to attack. My
way is not to harm unless I have to. I suggest you leave in
peace before its too late. Her eyes flickered to the direction
he was not to go and she walked over to place herself in that
       path.
What was wrong with this man? In most cases she didnt even need
to get invovled, the in hit her. That awful smell. He wasnt
brave he was drunk. Immy raised her hand to the still swarming
humming birds and waved them away. "Depart, your service is
appreciated. Ill take it from here."
She turned to him and offered a smile. "What brings you here
anyway? Perhaps I can lead you to a place where you can hydrate
before you leave." Immy didnt expect the man to easily agree,
but force was not going to work against the inhibition of
       acohol.

The loud snap of her fingers brought Kendall back to her
attention, having heard the humming sounds; becoming slightly
distracted, in his inebriated state. "Your ancestors may have
settled here, you may settle here, and you may have given your
all to the forest; it still does not mean it belongs to you."
Kendall's outward appearance portrayed a belligerent, stumbling,
and dis-oriented drunkard; but truthfully, he was fully aware of
       himself and his surroundings.
Upon his crimson orbs spotting the humming birds, his lips
tug into a devious grin; waiting for them to come closer to him.
The water they spouted was welcomed refreshment, as he extends
his arms out to both sides fully; allowing the water to cleanse
most of his frame. He hadn't been able to bath in a few days,
that combined with his constant traveling, and alcohol
consumption; he wasn't exactly pleasantly fragrant.
"Don't make idol threats." Upon catching this being's gaze
       down the path, Kendall resumed his previous fighting position;
his arms extend out in front of him, as he sways from side to
side slightly. Truthfully, he knew the smaller knife was of
little threat, used as more an intimidation factor; but it still
       annoyed him
He had no intentions of harming anything, or anyone while
traveling through the forest; but this being tested his expanded
patience. Why did this person choose this tactic? Maybe they
thought Kendall was a threat, a thought that would be proven
wrong; given enough time around him. He inherited the ability to
fight, from training most of his short life; having learned from
       many wise men and women.
"I don't know how I got here... I always end up places, I
never intend to visit." A slight hiccup bellows from Kendall, as
he pounds his fist against his chest; allowing a loud burp to
escape. Kendall was starting to lose his buzz, meaning he would
soon need to take another swig; though he would wait, to see
what this being's true intentions were.
