Like Coal, Lucky's technique was improving! It was evident in
the efficiency of her movements. Zoran smiled as he watched
Rosey battle. Her Pikachu definitely needed more training, but
that was to be expected. He continued to walk, careful not to
kick Lucky, who was playfully running around his feet.
Zoran didn't need to think when Rosey answered his question. He
looked at his Pokémon and smiled."I want to be the Champion. The
Best Pokemon trainer in the world. That's why my Pokemon are
walking instead of traveling in PokeBalls. It's to build their
endurance." He rubbed his Charmanders head as he continued. "But
after that, I want to become the leader of the Elite Four. I
want to motivate other trainers to become better than me, and
increase the quality of relationships between humans and
Pokemon."
Noticing that his Nidoran was lagging behind a bit, he picked it
up, and carried it in his arms. He kissed the top of it's head
as it seemed to sulk about being unable to keep up. "It's ok."
He told it. "I know your legs are shorter than ours." He then
looked to Rosey. "Did you know that only two trainers are
allowed to challenge the Elite Four every year? Only the
Champion and runner-up of the Indigo League. During my down
time, I want to help newer trainers build their skills. And one
day, one of them will surpass me, and they'll be the motivation
for the NEXT Generation..." He had thought his dreams out
carefully. Over and over. But he had never shared them with
anyone. He supposed though, that now was as good a time as any.
Noticed late that i was on the wrong account. I'll fix it later

They way he cared for his pokemon. Trained them for endurance.
Something she hadn't really thought of. She smiled and walked.
"Yeah, I know back what Tan.-" She cut off. She was not going to
talk about that. "I'm really glad I found myself with you. Maybe
you can help me out. I'm not really sure what I'm doing most of
the time. But it's kind of cool because what I don't know my
pokemon seem to just pick up on." She reached down to pet Lucky.
"And Lucky is really smart! She's really proven me wrong about
her and I couldn't be prouder."
She beamed at the little pokemon and leaned back up. " I don't
know I am happy with how I've done so far, but I do hope to keep
getting better. I didn't think I would be able to get Pikachu.
But I did." She stopped. "Do you mind if we take a break a
minute? I would like to rest a little, get a drink and let Lucky
catch her breath as well." As if on cue Eevee looked up to Zoran
and gave a big huff and sat down, tilting her head staring up at
him. It seemed she had quite made up her mind. Maybe she should
pull Eevee back and let one of the other pokemon roam. Try to
build their trust with her seeing as they both liked to bulk
against her.

Zoran caught when Rosey changed up her speech, but he didn't
think much of it. He listened as she explained that she was
often unsure of what she was doing. "Your Pokedex will be your
best friend then." He said. "Don't worry, I don't mind helping
you out too, but it's a really convenient tool." He took his,
and moved closer to Rosey as he pointed it at Lucky, showing her
the info that popped up.
Eevee (Lucky)
Approximate Level: 8
Attacks: Tackle, Tail Whip, Sand Attack
Info: A rare Pokemon with an irregular Genetic code. Eevee can
evolve into one of several different Pokemon, by means of
exposure to an elemental Stone, and it's relationship with it's
trainer.
Rosey seemed to be gaining confidence, which was good! Her
Pokemon would be able to feed off of that feeling and grow
stronger themselves! As she continued to improve, so would they.
She was getting off to a great start. "Did you know that the
current Pokemon League champion is from Pallet Town too?" A
random bit of trivia, but it was somehow something that gave
Zoran both pride and hope.
As they sat down and rested, Zoran showed Rosey several other
functions of the Pokedex, including the Kanto Region map. He
then explained the TM Store app, by using it himself. "The TM
function can be used to teach your Pokemon moves that they might
not learn on their own. All you have to do is download the TM
onto your Pokedex, like this." He went into the TM store and
purchased the move "Toxic." He then showed it to the Nidoran
seated in his lap. "The concept of the move kind of 'uploads'
to the Pokemon, and then they'll be able to use it! You have to
be careful though. Not every Pokemon is compatible with every
move!" (There's a link to a list of pokemon in the TM store. You
can inspect any given Pokemon there to see what moves it can
learn.)
"Some moves will be easier to learn than others. For example,
since Rex is a poison type, He'll pick up the move Toxic easily.
But if I tried to teach him a compatible move of another type,
he might have a harder time learning it." He was already
considering doing just that, but for now, Toxic was the move
that was important, since Nidoran didn't know any Poison Type
moves. He pulled out an Energy drink and took a few sips. It was
already warm, but at least it was something!

Zoran was so informative. Rosey couldn't help but smile. She
knew a lot of what he said, but also learned a few things. She
wiggled, her red braids swaying as she did. "From Pallet Town
really? That's exciting. Our home is on the map out here!" That
was so exciting!
When he started talking about how certain things they could buy
in the TM store effected their Pokemon things became so much
clearer. She nodded a lot, feeling a bit like a bobble head. "Uh
huh." She made a mental note to stop there next time she had the
opportunity.
She relaxed and rubbed her sore calves for a moment before
letting Pikachu and Pidgey out of their pokeballs and let them
around and investigate each other, they inspected each other and
Zoran's pokemon. She couldn't help but giggle as Pikachu sniffed
at Coal and fell over backwards moving away from him. Lucky ran
over to Rosey and curled up in her lap attempting to sleep.
Perhaps when they got moving again she would carry her while she
rested.
After a few moments she stood and stretched, carefully cradling
Lucky in one arm. "I think I'm going to let them walk." She
gestured to Pikachu and Pidgey. It struck her she hadn't named
either one of them. Hmm..."I think since neither of you have
names I'm going to call you Sparks!" She pointed to Pikachu,
then she looked to Pidgey...."I am not sure what to call you.
How about....Flappers?" She knew the names were a little silly,
but she liked them. "Shall we continue?" She looked up to Zoran.
Before she could answer though a Weedle came out of nowhere and
it was on the rampage. Eevee woke up and sprang from Rosey's
arms ready for battle. "Lucky Sand attack!" She called out. The
attack worked, the Weedle rolled about trying to get the sand
from its eyes. "Lucky tackle." That was a bad idea. As soon as
she did the Weedle pulled a poison sting. Lucky yelped and moved
away before falling over. "LUCKY NO!" She started to run forward
but stopped. "Sparks, thunder shock!" Pikachu moved up and did
just that, but then looked to Rosey. "Pika pika pikachu pika
pee!" The Pikachu was arguing with her it seemed. The weedle
took the opportunity to attack moving toward Pikachu fast.
"Pikachu growl!" The Pikachu grudgingly obeyed and the Weedle
stopped. "Pikachu thundershock." After the attack the weedle
moved back into the forest off the path. Pikachu turned to Rosey
and started frantically going off on her. Rosey tried not to
giggle by covering her mouth. Then she got a stern look on her
face. "Look Sparks, you're going to have to listen to me
eventually!" The Pikachu's eyes went wide, "PIKA" It said
before turning away from her.

Re: Viridian City/Forest
By: Iris Date: October 23, 2015, 10:30 am
---------------------------------------------------------
"Alright alright, hold on, let me check something..." Her
Squirtle had woken up during the course of her walk through
Viridan Forest and it was adamantly angry with her for having
accepted a new Pokemon without its consent, to which she blocked
out its incessant whining due to having already become
accustomed to its pompous behavior. Pidgey, still nervous about
being so close to an Ekans, actually flew on its own for once
and the wear of flight was seeming to wear on it; he was
admittedly a connoisseur of all foods that made their way within
its reach and it liked sleeping much more than anything else...
Meanwhile, Ekans had learned the line between crushing and cozy
as it changed positions along Iris's body from waist, to arm, to
neck. The scales that had once made her cringe were quickly
becoming commonplace for her to the point that she was slowly
beginning to enjoy their presence seeing as how Ekans was
overbearingly affectionate, so every rub or brush was just its
way of communicating its infatuations.
Taking a moment to make sure they were still on the right track
to the original path, Iris also took the time to pull out her
Pokedex from beneath her huffy Squirtle; quickly, but with
pauses in between, she scanned her lovely companions. Her
Pokedex read the stats to her in its robotic, yet strangely
friendly voice.
"Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokemon. Experience levels up to
thirteen. Abilities include...Tackle, Tail Whip, Withdraw, and
Bubble. Current state levels are moderate, rest advised."
Letting out a hum of thought, Iris looked down to her Squirtle
and nodded in agreement with the Pokedex's statement, Squirtle
had been through a lot in all of one day and she wanted to let
him rest thanks to all the work he'd put in. "Alright Squirtle,
you've done a really good job today and I know how much you hate
going into your Pokeball, but we've still got a lot of work to
do today and I don't want you getting hurt in crossfire." Her
gaze was sympathetic and slightly guilty as Squirtle immediately
took offense to her statement, he didn't want to go into the
Pokeball per usual, but he needed time in heavy rest! Unzipping
the Pokeball pouch on her backpack, she held out the small ball
and sighed quietly, "Squirtle, return!" The angry Pokemon's
irritated ranting could still be heard up until the point where
it finally disappeared inside of the ball. Iris sighed quietly,
knowing she was in for it when she next released him, but for
the time being she still had two Pokemon to work with! "Alright
Ekans, it's your turn!" Turning the Pokedex to the serpent
around her arm, Iris did another quick scan.
"Ekans, the Snake Pokemon. Experience levels up to six. Abilites
include...Wrap, Leer, and Poison Sting. Current state levels are
normal, perfect condition."
"Ah perfect! Would you be up for some battles then, Ekans?
You'll need a little more battle experience before we head into
Pewter City, I want to make sure you're ready in case we face
any Trainers along the way." Ekans coiled body shifted as it
moved its head up, hissing in agreement with her statement;
anything to keep close to this Trainer, she'd do! Iris let out a
soft laugh as Ekans moved along her body to coil up around her
neck, looking at the screen of the Pokedex that had a picture of
her on it before Iris turned it upwards towards the tree branch
where Pidgey was huddled in. "Alright Pidgey, your turn as
well!"
"Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokemon. Experience levels up to seven.
Abilities include...Tackle and Sand Attack. Current state levels
are normal, perfect condition."
"Great, you two are around the same level so you can battle
together." Iris spoke hopefully as she looked up towards her
scared Pidgey, trying hard to coax him out from the tree.
"Pidgey, it's okay look...Ekans doesn't want to hurt you, right
Ekans?" The snake's smooth head peeked out from the strands of
her long blue hair, speaking to the Pidgey in the language only
Pokemon knew. Pidgey at first seemed heavily hesitant, it
understood Ekans perfectly, but the primal instinct to avoid its
natural predator was strong; he'd never been the strongest or
the bravest when it came to surviving out in the wilds of Pallet
Town, that's why he'd always stayed close to town to eat
whatever the townsfolk had dropped as well as being as far from
any Ekans possible. Ekans was attempting to coerce the small
bird, explaining that it only wanted to venture with them and
besides, it was full anyways.
Still attempting to coerce Pidgey out, Iris suddenly got
distracted as she heard the distant sounds of voices and she let
out a gasp of excitement. If there were voices, that meant that
she had to be close to the path, right?! Turning to Pidgey, Iris
put her foot down as their attempts just seemed to bring him
right to the edge of believing her on his safety. "Pidgey, when
I first caught you it was by surprise when you'd fallen from the
tree and attacked me, but I'm not scared to travel with you am
I? As a matter of fact, I love you and the rest of our team to
the point that I won't let you get hurt outside of battle! You
need to learn to trust me, trust us, we're a team now and that
means working together." Ekans's tail rattled happily with the
passion of her trainer's speech, withdrawing its head back into
the mass of her hair, more than happy to allow Iris to handle
the dispute. "I know you're scared, Pidgey, but you've got to
trust me and Ekans too, we're your teammates now, believe in us
okay?" Pidgey's feathers ruffled slightly while it hung its head
down in slight shame, aware of its cowardice more than ever.
Giving a slight flap of its wings, Pidgey descended from the
tree branch and before it could make its way to her shoulders,
Iris gently clasped it around the abdomen and brought its large
and fluffy body close, nestling her face against the soft fluff
around its neck. "Thank you Pidgey, I promise to take good care
of you and every Pokemon we get." The voices grew more distant
and Iris booked it towards the sound, her Pidgey flapping wildly
behind her while Ekans clug tight around her neck in the
strangest necklace to be seen.
Breaking through the foliage loudly, leaves sticking to both her
clothes and hair, Iris was out of breath as she saw the familiar
worn path at her feet. It was relieving to see it...but she had
a different situation to deal with now as she realized she'd
directly intervened the path between the two young Trainers.
"O-Oh! The two children from Pallet Town..." Without much of a
filter, she spoke her thoughts out loud and found herself
blushing heavily in embarrassment while she became much more
aware of her appearance. A little sweaty, a little dirty and she
was picking leaves out from her hair as her Pidgey flapped by
before practically collapsing onto her shoulder, its chest
rising and falling rapidly from all of the physical exertion.
"U-Um s-sorry...I didn't mean to get in your way, it's just...
I, I mean we, we got lost and I heard voices so I got here as
fast as I could." Iris was rambling and her face grew red from a
mixture of heat and nervousness while she avoided eye contact as
best as she could, nervously picking and dropping leaf after
leaf from her hair. At a point, Ekans appeared from the sheet
her hair cast over it, holding a leaf in its mouth in offering
to her.

Re: Viridian City/Forest
By: Zoran Date: October 23, 2015, 1:38 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Rosey was receptive. Zoran had a feeling she would be quite the
trainer one day; Perhaps even a rival for him! The thought was
exciting. But for now, he didn't mind helping her along the way.
When they got up to continue moving, he carried Rex, but allowed
Coal to continue walking. He had noticed that, the more Coal
battled, The bigger the flame on the end of his tail got. And
yet, he had never seen the flame burn anything! He remembered
reading about Ponyta, the horse pokemon with a mane made of
fire. It's flame wouldn't burn you if you touched it, but if
Ponyta became afraid, or lost control of it's excitement, the
flame would become scorching hot. Zoran theorized that
Charmander's flame may be the same way.
He laughed to himself at the names Rosey chose for her Pokemon,
particularly "Flappers." She was an energetic girl. He liked
that about her. They were just taking off when Nidoran's ear
twitched, and he looked to the left. Zoran followed suit to see
someone approaching. He heard a voice before he saw a face.
"O-Oh! The two children from Pallet Town..."
Children?
Zoran was thirteen years old. And this girl didn't appear to be
any older than fifteen or sixteen... He didn't know why, but her
words rubbed him the wrong way. Perhaps that did make him a
child. He listened as she explained her situation. "You got lost
when there's a clear path, and we're the children?" He then
noticed her Pokemon; A Pidgey and an Ekans. It seemed trainers
from Pallet didn't care for the use of Pokeballs. Zoran knew his
reason for it. But the others, he couldn't speak for. But then,
he didn't see a starter Pokemon with the strange girl, so
perhaps she was using them after all...
He sighed and shook his head. "It's fine." He commented, walking
over and removing one final leaf from her person. "Why don't you
walk with us? If you keep getting lost out in the forest you're
bound to get attacked by a hive of Beedrill." He extended his
hand to the girl. "I'm Zoran. These are my partners, Rex, and
Coal. He gestured toward the resting Nidoran and odd colored
Charmander. Once everyone was introduced, they continued along
their way.
It felt like the group had been walking forever, but they
probably weren't even quite halfway through the forest. It was a
couple hours later, when Nidoran's ear twitched again. Zoran
heard it too, a high pitched shrilling sound. Zoran recognized
that sound from the Academy, and ran off in it's direction, Coal
following close behind. "I'll be right back! He called back to
the girls.
After a bit of searching, he found the source of the sound. A
Butterfree that was flying around between plants. It didn't seem
interested in him at all, but he was definitely interested in
it! "Let's go Rex!" He said, and the Nidoran jumped out of his
arms and readied itself for battle. Obviously, Coal would have
been a better choice, but he wanted to give Rex the battle
experience. "Use Toxic"
With Perfect form, Nidoran fired a purple ooze from the horn on
his head. Toxic was a simple, yet dangerous move. If it made
contact with it's target, it would seep through the skin,
injecting a heavy poison that sapped the strength. Unlike
Beedrill, Butterfree had no affinity for poison, so it would be
especially effective. Butterfree had more impressive aerial
abilities, however, and easily glided out of range of Nidoran's
attack. It's counterattack would come as a complete surprise to
Zoran. Butterfree's body began to glow, and it fired a beam of
blue energy at Nidoran, knocking it back into a tree! Confusion!
This was bad. Poison types were extremely weak against Psychic
attacks! "Are you alright Rex?"
Nidoran stood to his feet, and Zoran smiled. "Alright, Horn
attack!" But Nidoran didn't seem to be listening. It ran around
in circles, chasing some imaginary enemy until it eventually ran
straight into the very tree it was just thrown into! It was
confused! "Dammit..." Zoran said, recalling Rex to his Pokeball.
"Coal, let's go!" Before Zoran could even call a command,
Butterfree soared higher, releasing a stream of sleep powder
down toward the grey lizard. "Ember!"
Coal flicked his tail toward Butterfree, sending an array of
burning embers toward the Butterfly Pokemon. The falling blue
sleep powder caught flame, turning green as it ignited. It would
not be ineffective. But a few remaining embers caught the
Butterfree's wings. It flapped frantically, trying to put out
the flames, but it slowly descended, unable to keep up it's
elevation. While the Butterfree was distracted, Zoran threw a
Pokeball it's way!
Several minutes later, Zoran returned to the spot on the path
where the girls were, a Butterfree on his left arm as he sprayed
it's wings with a potion. A triumphant Coal walked behind him.
"Sorry I took so long. But we got a new friend!" He said with a
smile. "What do you think I should name her?"

Rosey watched eagerly as Zoran threw his pokemon into battle,
and watched the new girl curiously. They were both older than
she was. The new girl had lost her way. She started to answer
her when her pokedex went off. She fumbled with it trying to
figure out why. Soon an email came up.
Dearest Rosey,
I do hope you are sitting down, you need to return home. Your
father has taken ill and we are not sure how much longer he has.
I'm sorry to call you back so quickly but it is an emergency.
Please hurry!
Mom.
Rosey's gut clenched and she dropped her pokedex. How could this
be? How did this happen? She grabbed it up quickly and reread
the message. "Zoran, I....I have to go." She held out the
Pokedex so he could see the message." I'm sorry." She looked
back and forth between the two before gathering her pokemon in
their pokeballs. As she put them in her bag she pulled out her
cookies that her mother had sent for her. "Here Zoran. You can
have them to remind you of our journey together." She hugged
him, gave a friendly wave to the girl that had approached. "It
was nice meeting you." And with that she began her journey home.

"W-well I wasn't looking at the path, so before I realized
what'd happened..." Iris's excuse was half baked as she tried to
defend herself against the snide comment, but Iris believed she
deserved it for whatever reason. After all, she HAD just burst
in front of their path without even introducing herself first
and she wasn't the coolest of people...with her small seed of
self-despise budding just slightly, Iris hushed out her
explanations with a sigh of finality. The awkward moment was
thoroughly ended as the young girl that was his companion seemed
to receive a message on her Pokedex and by the way the color
drained from her face, Iris could only assume it wasn't
good...It wasn't her place to prod though and she offered both a
wave of greeting and parting to the girl who ran off without so
much as another word. It was a shame she couldn't have
befriended her properly...
With the boy approaching her, Iris immediately tried to harden
herself back up to behave normally and she offered him a thank
you as she became finally leaf-free. "O-Oh, it's not a problem
is it?" Casting her aqua gaze slowly away while fidgeting with
the hem of her sweater, she gave a slight and uncertain nod.
"Then...if it's no problem. I-I'm Iris, I came from the same
town as you. I-I just hurried out way too fast s-so I didn't
meet you on the way...O-oh!" Hurriedly, Iris shifted one hand
upwards towards her right shoulder to pat the fluff on the chest
of her Pidgey while her other hand touched upon the coiled
scales aligning her neck; Ekans head peeped out in answer to her
touch with a massive amount of enthusiasm. "These are my
Pokemon! This is Pidgey and Ekans, Ekans is really new, but
very...er...eager. I-I also have a Squirtle, but I wanted him to
rest after the last battle we had." With all their
introductions, Iris was able to quit her senseless blabbering
after offering her excited hellos to his wonderful Pokemon, both
of which she found very cute!
The walk did indeed feel like it'd been ages long and Iris found
herself out of breath again. With the combination of Pokemon on
her person, as well as the weight of her backpack, Iris didn't
know how much longer she could walk!! Thankfully, Zoran seemed
to hear a noise that she didn't quite catch and it was a godsend
for her as he ran off to find its source; finally, a break!!
Flopping down, Iris sighed out in relief and rummaged through
the side pocket of her backpack, pulling out Squirtle's
Pokeball. "Squirtle, you can come out now!" With the red beam
shooting out, Squirtle appeared and he was as huffy and full of
fight as ever. Squirtle immediately and adamantly began to argue
with her and Iris tried to apologize and explain that it was for
his benefit, but he simply wasn't hearing it!! Turning his shell
to her, he gave Iris a childish cold shoulder and she was
sulking at the gesture as Zoran returned with his new companion,
immediately bringing a spark to Iris's attention. "Oh wow!! A
Butterfree too?! O-oh my goodness, look at the way its wings
sparkle!" Standing up and patting off her backside, Iris looked
at the giant butterfly Pokemon with fascination and due to her
lack of attention to its pouting, Squirtle looked towards the
Pokemon with slight irritation and envy. Quickly, it bumped into
Iris's shins to remind her of its presence and she became
flustered immediately while turning her attention back to her
pompous Pokemon. "D-don't be like that Squirtle...come on
nowwww..." No amount of consoling her Squirtle seemed to work
and she simply gave up for the time being.
Turning her attention back to Zoran and his Butterfree, she
hummed in thought slightly while tapping her fingers together.
"I'm...not too sure. As you may have noticed, I don't name my
Pokemon." Smiling sheepishly, she fiddled with the lump of her
Pokedex in her skirt's pocket. "P-Probably something
elegant...or something really pretty..."

After reading Rosey's email, Zorans face stiffened for a second.
Deciphering the message, he sighed, and put a hand on the girl's
shoulder. "Get home quick." He told her, returning her embrace
before sending her on her way. Death was an unreal concept for
Zoran. He had never experienced it. He hadn't lost a parent, or
a grandparent, or even a pet! Nonetheless, he understood that
the situation was serious, and that Rosey had no choice but to
head back home.
Iris may have been older than Zoran, but she seemed more
childlike to him. She was nervous and constantly stammering. It
seemed it would take a while for her to get comfortable in his
presence. Zoran happily greeted her Pokemon, but he was even
more interested in her Squirtle. She chose the Pokemon that Coal
had a weakness against, which made her dangerous, and also more
interesting.
When he returned from catching Butterfree, he saw that Iris had
released her Squirtle! It seemed to have a combative
personality, and a general desire to be spoiled, but he could
tell the two were close. "Well the way I figure it, there are
millions of Charmanders, Nidoran, and Butterfree in the world.
Giving them names helps to differentiate them. I'm glad my
parents didn't name me "human" ya know?" He looked at his
Butterfree, taking in her color. At first, he thought to name
her Lavender, but then the name came to him. "How about...
Flutter?" Butterfree seemed happy about that name. She shrilled
happily and Zoran smiled. "Alright then!" At that moment, he
noticed the sky turning dark. "We should be about halfway
through the forest." He said, not wanting to travel too far
after dark. "How about we set up camp?"

Iris was softly nudging Squirtle with her foot as Zoran spoke,
and she hummed thoughtfully before she spoke. "There are
millions, yes, but these are mine especially." Iris spoke with a
fondness she hadn't felt in years and she picked up her sulky
Squirtle by the sides, ignoring its squabbling as she held it
close in a tight embrace. "My Squirtle, my Ekans, my Pidgey.
They're especially mine." Rubbing her cheek against Squirtle's
smooth head, the Pokemon trying to keep its tough act up before
crumbling with a sigh of defeat as it gave in to her affections,
Iris looked towards the darkening sky as he spoke of camping and
nodded hastily in agreement. "I-I definitely don't want to be
walking around here at night! A-Ah, but first..." Holding to
Squirtle with one arm, Iris shuffled her hand into her pocket
and pulled out her Pokedex, flipping the device open so that she
could scan the Butterfree on his arm, gaining its entry in her
Pokedex. "You're so lucky, they're really rare!!" Flicking her
thumb through the entries in her Pokedex, she realized how
little she'd actually seen and the idea of seeing more filled
her with...determination!
Looking up to the darkening sky at Zoran's comment, she nodded
enthusiastically in agreement, not quite liking the idea of
dealing with the types of Pokemon that could appear at night.
"G-Good call, where should we go?" Tapping along the map of her
Pokedex, she highlighted a few spots and leaned over and
slightly down to show him the screen comfortably. "There's
here...and maybe here? I don't think we should go out too far,
but setting up right on the path m-might be rude."
