She nodded to both of them. "I'll see you at nine then! It was
good meeting you both!" She parted ways with them, but left her
pokemon in their pokeballs. They both deserved rest. First she
visited the items store there and bought way too much. But she
wanted to be prepared for anything. So she bought 4 potions, 1
super potion, 5 pokeballs, 1 Antidote, 1 burn heal, 1 freeze
heal, 1 awakening, 1 paralyze heal and five days worth of
pokemon food. She watched as the numbers on her Pokedex drained
and she bit her lip. She had just spent a lot of money! Her bag
felt super heavy! She went to the wilderness store next and
bought a couple more things. 1 sleeping bag, 10 protein bars and
5 energy drinks. If her calculations were correct she ended up
with 690 pc in her account. Not good! She hurried from the
store, her back pack so heavy she felt like a good wind would
just blow her over.
Maybe she should get a few battles in before they left, to
rebuild her pc and get her pokemon some experience. She decided
to take the north path. Walking a little ways and running into a
Caterpie. She threw out Pidgey hoping to get some more handle on
it. At first the pokemon was resistant to her commands but soon
enough she was able to give it a couple of commands and the
fight ended with some injuries to Pidgey, They lost though and
Pdgey fainted after its speed was slowed by a sting shot and it
tackled. She administered a potion and pulled it back to her
pokeball. Looked like she was going to have to stop at the
pokemon center again. This Pokemon really needed to start
working with her!
She continued on planning to put Lucky into a battle. When she
saw the next pokemon she was determined to catch it! Rosey threw
out Lucky and pulled a pokeball out of her bag. "Eevee use
tackle!" Eevee looked to it's opponent. A Picachu! She didn't
take long to run for it, but the picachu dodged and used
thundershock. Eevee fell to the ground and whined. "Come on
Eevee, Sand attack." Eevee jumped up and obeyed, the picachu
wasn't so lucky this time becoming agitated and tried to get the
sand away from its face. "Eevee tail whip!" Rosey commanded,
When Eevee did, the picachu whined and then turned to Eevee and
used thundershock again. This time Eevee managed to dodge it and
moved right into a tackle. Just as Eevee moved back Rosey threw
her pokeball at Picachu, who managed to duck it just in time.
Picachu used growl this time. Eevee was already getting very
tired. "Come on Eevee, sand attack!" But this time Eevee didn't
obey, She looked to Rosey and whined. Picachu started to use
thundershock just as Eevee ran to tackle it. Eevee was shot
backward off of it, and she slinked to Rosey whining. "Give me
whatcha got girl come on!" Eevee moved back out there. "Eevee ,
sand attack!" When she did Rosey threw out another pokeball this
time capturing the Picachu! Eevee fell to the ground and
fainted. The pokeball rolled around a few times but soon calmed.
Rosey picked up both the unused pokeball and the one containing
Pikachu, slipping both into her bag, before pulling out a
potion. "Come on Eevee. You did good! Lets get you back to the
Pokemon center okay?" She used the potion and carried her Eevee
all the way back.

A nicely dressed young man of about 17 walks through the garden,
laying eyes on Milly. Seeing her holding a Pokeball, He
approaches her with a smile. "Excuse me. I'm sorry to bother
you, but would you mind having a battle with me? I have an event
coming up and I want to get in as much practice as possible."
Kind green eyes looked down at the girl, hoping that she would
oblige his request.

Deeply lost in her thoughts, Milly answered his question with a
sharp intake of breath and a small jump. Her eyes sought the
owner of the voice and she curiously saw a boy a bit older than
she. Milly attempted to cover her prior start with a confident
nod of her head, but it did little to touch the blush growing on
her cheeks.
"Sure," she said, standing up with her Pokemon against her chest
in motherly protection.
The boy seemed polite enough and he was right; practice would be
good.

After making it back to town, Zoran followed Rosey's example,
and went to the Pokemart. He still had a decent supply stash,
but he topped it off with 3 Pokeballs, 3 Potions, 2 Antidotes
and a Paralyze Heal. After that, he went to the Wilderness store
and purchased a Sleeping Bag, 3 Protein Bars and 3 Energy
Drinks. Finally, he made his way back to the Pokemon Center to
treat Coal, and the Nidoran that he named Rex. Once their
treatment was done, it was time to train on the Northern path.
Out on the path, Zoran battled until he couldn't anymore. Coal's
encounters included Two Pidgey, a Spearow, a Paras, and a
Caterpie. Nidoran was on a less intense training program,
Battling a series of 4 Metapods and 2 Kakunas. After he had
decided both Pokemon had enough, he headed back to the Pokemon
Center for one final checkup, and headed up to his assigned
lodgings.

Charming attempted to dodge, but he failed to back up in time.
He took a direct hit from it. Milly told him to follow up with a
scratch attack again. He obeyed and went for the pokemon's right
side as he maneuvered deceptively to the left.

Once again, without command, machop attempted to block the
oncoming attack. However, charmander's quick maneuver caught
machop off guard, causing it to take another heavy scratch. The
trainer's fists tightened. The girl was a beginner, but she
was good! He was forced to break his silence, calling out a
command to his Pokémon. " slow it down!" Machop responded with
a low kick to charmander's left leg, attempting to cut off its
quick maneuvering.

Re: Viridian City/Forest
DIR By: Iris
Date: October 19, 2015, 9:40 am
---------------------------------------------------------
"Ah...my name? Oh, my name." Iris was thrown off by the
handshake she was met with and she disliked how it left her
fingers uncomfortable and cramped. Such a tight grip! She wasn't
trying to win any arm wrestle with him, goodness..."Ah, my name
is Iris." Replying sheepishly as she pried her fingers from his,
not quite used to physical contact like such and she felt the
weight reappear at her shoulder as her unusually tubby Pidgey
perched back on her. The fact that he reappeared so quickly made
her heart sore and she had to catch herself before she started
smiling like a dope in front of the stranger she'd accidentally
assaulted. "Well I'm very sorry about having knocked in to you,
it's a little distracting in this town after all." Iris laughed
awkwardly as she failed in her attempt at trying to socialize.
Nearly drowning her socially awkward advances, Squirtle saved
her by patting her shin and pointing towards their original goal
that was just faintly in the distance. "O-oh good point. Ah, it
was um...very nice tomeet you, Bain, but I've really got to go
now!" Without waiting for his reply, she dashed off while
scooping her Squirtle up in one arm, hustling towards the gate
at her max speed while Pidgey flapped his short wings while
squawking in distaste at her movement. Thank god she had an
excuse to get out of there instead of floundering more in front
of him!! Passing a pair of children gleefully conversing, Iris
distinctly remembered them from Pallet Town, it was relieving to
see they'd made it this far all on their own; what brave kids.
Truthfully, Iris didn't want to keep rushing the way she did and
with her Pokemon at the current battle experience, she
figured...why not learn a thing or two!! "Okay you guys, I know
we've had a long day, but we've got to make it even longer;
think you can bear with me?" The Squirtle whose skin turned
slightly green again from all the jostling she'd gave as she
hustled him like a professional linebacker squirmed in her grip,
weakly agreeing to anything she'd say so long as she'd let him
go and her Pidgey tweeted a small tone of indifference at the
idea. "Great, let's go! I did some research earlier and it seems
like there's a lot of Pokemon we can catch here, nothing I
terribly want, but who knows..."
The forest was massive, the entrance alone practically a
labyrinth of foliage and vines; its serenity would have been
beautiful if Iris wasn't aware of all the Pokemon that were
simply lying in wait, hiding out in their woodland home. The
thoughtfulness of the Viridian City inhabitants was noted as
they even had a small kiosk just outside of the official Viridan
Forest entrance; they provided free maps and a kiosk manager
that even gave some helpful tips about the area. "The trails are
marked easily on the ground, but do be careful if you wander off
of them. It can get a little difficult to find your way after
that...but there are lots of young Trainers out and about, just
like you, so if you get lost I wouldn't worry too much! If worse
comes to worst, just use your Pokedex to contact our number here
on the map and we'll send some Rangers out to find you." That
information left her a little more at ease and she thanked the
smiling Ranger while unfolding the map and heading on her way.
It was perhaps 20 minutes into her wanderings that Iris found
them completely lost. She'd fallen off the path somehow along
the way and was faced with a new challenge instead; having
stumbled and fumbled in her typically clumsy manner, Iris
accidentally trampled across the tail of a resting Rattata who
angrily retaliated by confronting her and her Pokemon, but it
wasn't alone. Seems the resting Rattata had been sleeping with a
friend who was equally as infuriated with her for having hurt
its buddy; Iris frantically apologized, but they fell on deaf
ears as the Pokemon launched their dual attack.
The Rattata's started the battle with a move that was so
blindingly fast she could barely see, her Pidgey and Squirtle
that intervened were caught off guard as one body collided into
Squirtle and Pidgey flew upwards just in time to avoid the Quick
Attack that was launched towards it. Toppling over, Squirtle
quickly managed to roll back onto its feet and squared off
against the enemy it was given, determination to prove its worth
in its eyes. "Squirtle, use Tail Whip!" At her command,
Squirtle twisted its body and cleaved the recovering Rattata
with its bulky tail, knocking the small Pokemon off balance.
"Now quick, use Tackle!" Finishing its quick spin, Squirtle
kicked off with its small legs and launched into the body of
Rattata, knocking the small Pokemon far away in a tumbling mass
while Squirtle sneered in victory at the small creature, as if
letting it know he was returning the favor. Rattata stood up
slowly and unsteadily, obviously injured and started back
towards Squirtle with another Quick Attack, but it was still
staggered from the jarring hits it took and Squirtle easily
dodged. "Again, use Tackle!" With Rattata landing slightly to
Squirtle's left, Squirtle turned its shoulder and roughly
smashed back in to Rattata's side, sending it sprawling and
unconscious. Iris didn't have much time to cheer on victory for
Squirtle as she remembered that Pidgey had been almost attacked
too, the battle wasn't over yet!
Pidgey had been lazily hovering in the air just out of the other
Rattata's reach, the small rat-like Pokemon chattered and cried
out at it angrily as if trying to make Pidgey come down, but
Pidgey seemed to have no interest in the endeavor at all.
"Pidgey, it's your turn, are you ready?" Yet Iris got no
response, her Pokemon just continued to lazily glide about with
the angered Rattata following. With a dejected sigh, Iris
hunched down to wrap her arms around Squirtle and lift him up.
"Well if that's how you want to be, I guess you don't want any
snacks later..." At her words, Pidgey seemed to suddenly roar to
life and without her command, plowed downwards in a diving
tackle that caught the Rattata off guard. Rattata's body flew to
the side and Pidgey recovered with a quick glide into the air,
flapping about as it cawed out to the mouse in mocking tone. The
Rattata stood up, glaring before it noticed the sudden lack of
backup it possessed; his friend was incapacitated and the
numbers weren't in its favor...Thinking on its feet, the small
mouse Pokemon used another Quick Attack that intentionally
missed so it could be nearer to its friend, grasping its long
purple tail in its teeth and taking off, effectively escaping
from the battle. With the sound of its small form darting
through the foliage growing faint and distant, Iris cheered
happily at her first successful Pokemon battle that hadn't ended
prematurely do to capture instead. "You did great you guys, I'm
so proud of you!!" Her cheering was loud and created quite the
racket, but Iris was just simply too happy to care while being
stranded in the woods.
