She knew Brock was right, but she made no indication to have
heard him. Milly was too engrossed in the fight.
Geodude successfully grabbed Meowth.
"Moewth, grab his arm," she commanded.
The Pokemon did so in mid-air as Geo attempted to throw him.
"Kick out then roll," she said.
He did, his feet colliding with the ground just as soon as Geo
released him to throw him out of the arena. With his arm still
extended, and his balance lax, Moewth clung to his arm and
rolled, hoping to throw him face first in the ground.

Once again, Meowth's maneuvering was impressive. It managed to
use it's body to successfully prevent being thrown, and maneuver
it's way around Geodude. But there was one thing Milly didn't
account for; Your average Geodude weighed in at around 45
pounds. Brocks well trained, fed, and groomed Geodude was closer
to 50. There was no way a small, and untrained Meowth would be
able to lift, let alone toss it. As Meowth strained itself
trying to perform this task, Geodude went in for another Tackle.

The tackle was successful and Milly's lips twitched at the
scene. Meowth was rendered helpless and Brock would win.
Milly waited as the scene unfolded and Moewth lost. Something
dark fell on her expression as she witnessed her Pokemon losing.
Her jaw flexed as she clenched her teeth.
"Well then, good job. It seems that I have much to learn," she
said.
A smile chased away all the other emotions as she returned him
to his Pokemon.

The challenger had only lost one of her two pokemon, but it
seemed her will to battle was broken. Brock returned his
Geodude, and looked at the girl. "What is your name?" He asked
her. Usually, introductions took place before a battle, however
that had not been the case this time. Once she had introduced
herself, Brock nodded his head. "You have potential." he told
her. "Feel free to come back, after you've done more research
and training."

Trainer Tip: Unlike the video game, This rp doesn't have to be
linear. You don't have to follow the same path set in place by
Nintendo.

"It's Milly," she replied, choosing to reveal the less formal
name.
She bobbed her head in an abrupt nod.
"I will do that, thank you" she said, smiling.
Though she had lost, it had not been a pointless endeavor as she
was learning and gaining experience. Once outside, she exhaled a
breath she had not realized she had been holding onto.
She tilted her head back and gazed at the stars. It was then in
that moment that she vowed that someday she would make herself
to be great.

The next day, she started out early. It was not long before she
came across a ratatta. She opted to use Charming.
The Ratatta took the offense and leapt forward, mouth agape.
Charmander use Ember attack, but unsuccessfully dodged the other
Pokemon. Together, they tumbled across the ground until Ratatta
gained footing and stopped while on top of her pokemon, and he
bit down. Charming cried out and jerked away, allowing Ratatta
enough time to weasel through and escape.
"That's alright, Charming," she told him as she gave him a
potion.
From there, they ran into a Mankey. He clung to a tree limb as
she approached, then leaped to the ground when she started to
withdraw a pokeball. She chose Charming again.
Charmander raced forward and pivoted his tail toward the
Pokemon, but Mankey quickly sidestepped the attack and reached
for the pokemon. Charming turned his head and caught one of
Mankey's arms within his mouth and quickly bit down. The Mankey
used his free hand to try to pry open his jaw, but it was to no
avail.
She quickly fished out a pokeball and captured Mankey before
returning Charming to his. All in all, it was a successful last
day hunting for Pokemon here.

Finally, Zoran had arrived at Pewter City! He wanted to go
straight for his first Gym battle, but the most important thing
now was ensuring that Butterfree's health was recovered. Without
stopping to check out any of the sights, Zoran went straight to
the Pokemon Center, and handed his Pokemon over to the nurse.
While he waited, he checked out a pamplet with a list of Pewter
City's popular attractions. Aside from the Pokemon Gym, there
was a Museum with an exhibit on Prehistoric Pokemon, and a small
shopping Center. But what really caught Zoran's eye, was the
Contest Hall! Zoran had watched Pokemon Contests on TV, and they
were awesome! He wondered if he could do something like that
with his Pokemon! Pokemon Coordinators had a certain talent that
regular trainers didn't need. They knew how to bring the appeal
out of their Pokemon's attacks and moves. It sounded like fun!
Eventually, The nurse would return with Zoran's Pokemon. He
thanked her, and made his way out of the Pokemon Center. Before
he worried about Pokemon Contests or museums, He needed to do
what he came here to do. He made his way to the Pokemon Gym. His
studies at the Pokemon Academy had informed him that the Leader
of this Gym was Brock, a young trainer who specialized in Rock
type Pokemon. He would be a difficult opponent with the team
Zoran had organized, consisting of Fire, Poison, and Bug types.
But Zoran felt like he could be victorious! He stood outside the
Gym for some time, gathering his wits, before finally walking
through the door....

After a few moments of looking at the Gym, Zoran decided he
wasn't ready to challenge it. Instead, he headed back to the
Pokemon Center, and seated himself on a bench outside. He sat
down, and for several minutes, he simply dug through his
Pokedex. His focus was so intense that he didn't notice any of
the people walking by.
Once he was satisfied, he reached onto his belt and grabbed a
pokeball, releasing Rex onto his lap. "Time to learn another
move!" He told the rodent. The Nidoran wiggled his ears happily.
He had pretty much mastered Toxic with ease, so he was excited
about a new challenge. But after Zoran scanned the "Blizzard"
Technique into Nidoran, his confidence waned. Mastering an Ice
attack would be far more difficult than the Poison move he had
an affinity for. He looked up at his master with a look of
concern. "Don't worry Rex. We can go practice it now." Rex
nodded his head and hopped off of Zoran's lap, and they headed
off toward the path East.
Zoran didn't head on the path though, instead, he found a large
rock. For the next several hours, They didn't battle any
trainers or wild pokemon. They simply practiced Blizzard on the
rock over and over. By the time they left, Nidoran was
exhausted, and there was still only a thin layer of ice on the
rock. It seemed this would take some time. Zoran took Nidoran to
the Pokemon Center for treatment, and sat down outside while he
waited.

Milly had a few hours to spare before she was scheduled to leave
the city. During the free time, she decided to walk around with
Charming following close behind her. She enjoyed sightseeing. It
was a nice change, but her mind was on the coming challenges.
Along the way, she passed the Pokemon Center and saw Zoran
sitting outside. She debated about passing him by, but instead
she stopped and greeted him with a smile.
"Hello there," she said. "How is everything?"
