Pewter city archive

The car came to a stop, stirring her from her slumber. She
blinked, confused to have awakened in an unfamiliar car. When
she remembered everything, she stretched before grabbing her
belongings and hopping out of the car.
The car took off as she stood before Brock's gym. She looked
around the town and decided to visit the Pokemon shop before
heading out.
The store was loaded with essentials for Pokemon trainers. It
was somewhat overwhelming for someone who had just started.
Thankfully, the man there was nice and helped her.
In the end, she purchased four potions and two pokeballs.
Her first battle was with Moewth. She chose Rekans since she
wanted to get used to his fighting style.
The Moewth took the offense and pounced towards Ekans, claws
extended. Ekans dodged, barely missing the claws by a hair, then
followed through with a slap of his tail.
"Ekans, watch it!" she warned just as moewth clamped down on his
tail and bit down.
The Pokemon winced in pain, but quickly snapped his tail back,
releasing it from Meowth's grasp. Then, he quickly dodged to the
left and caught Meowth by its arm with sharpened teeth. The
Pokemon tried to get out of his grasp, but Ekans stealthy attack
was finished with him wrapping himself tightly around Meowth,
making him immobile.
Milly hurriedly ran forward and caught the Pokemon in an extra
pokeball. Ekans had been wounded badly during the fight, so she
retired him.
From there, she fought with a Spearow with Charming. Charmander
started out attempting to catch it, but Spearow easily dodged
him by flying around. It was only when Spearow swooped down to
peck him, was Charming able to grab him. However, the Pokemon
pecked his arm until he released it, then if flew off. The whole
scene was so humorous to Milly, that it took her a few minutes
to stop laughing.
Along the way back to town, they ran across a Jigglypuff.
"Are you up for one more?" she asked, looking down at Charming.
He bobbed his head with confidence along his features. "Okay,
then, lets do it."
Charming snuck up to the Jigglypuff by using the trees around
them. When he jumped out in front of it, it went into a
defensive curl. Then, it unraveled itself only to start singing
a beautiful melody. She yawned and smiled.
It really was beautiful...
She yawned.
Out of nowhere, Charming dropped like a log. Snapping out of her
sleepiness, she ran to Charming and checked him over. The
Jigglypuff ran off.
"Don't worry," she told him as she put him back into his
pokeball. "We will get it next time."

In town, Milly stopped to give both Ekans and Charming potions.
She spent some time playing with them. From there, she went to
Brock's Gym. The place was a lot bigger than it appeared to be
outside. She stepped inside and only the sounds of her footsteps
bouncing off the walls greeted her.
"Hello?" she called.

When the girl entered the gym, Brock wax sitting cross legged
on the gym floor. Characterized by his spiky black hair, tan
skin and narrow eyes, his identity was unmistakable. "Welcome,
" he said. His voice was both sportsmanslike and authoritative.
"I take it you're here for a challenge. How many Pokémon gym
badges have you won? " when she confirmed that she had none,
Brick nodded his head. "Very well. The battle will be two on
two." If you accept these terms, we'll begin right away. " he
grabbed a pokeball from his side and tossed it into the arena.
"Go Geodude!" He then waited for the challenger to choose her

It did not take long for him to announce which Pokemon he would
chose. His decision made her frown. She took a moment to think,
but she knew she would be fighting a lost battle since her
Pokemon did not carry any of Geotude's weakness. She opted for
Meowth.
After releasing him into the field, she waited for the owner to
attack first in order to be polite since it was his gym.

Brock frowned when the girl released her Meowth. Though, with
his narrow eyes it was often to discern his facial expressions.
Meowth was at a heavy disadvantage against a rock type like
Grodude. Unless she hat some sort of trick up her sleeve, her
chances were slim to none. She seemed to be waiting for Brock
to make the first move, so he did just that. "Geodude, Harden!
"
Geodude began to glow, hardening it's already rock solid dorm
Eben further, and strengthening is defenses.

Throughout everything, Milly maintained a blank expression. Only
occasionally, did she appear thoughtful, but never apprehensive.
There was even a tilt to her lips that indicated pleasure and
thrill, but it was impossible to be certain what she was
thinking.
"Meowth, scratch," she commanded.
The Pokemon did as it was told, with a little resistance that
ended up slowing it in its attack. But, she never meant for the
attack to land so the speed behind it meant little; at least for
the moment.

Brock was unamused. He stood with his arms crossed as Meowth
attempted is scratch attack. If it did any damage at all, it
wasn't visible. In fact, too many of those would be bad for its
nails. "Geodude tackle." He commanded calmly. The table would
be more aggresive with geodudes hardened body. Brock was a
master of turning defense into offense. How would the girl
handle it?

"Meowth," she called, but before she could speak, the Pokemon
dodged.
His quickness permitted him to dodge unscathed, but barely.
Without being directed, Meowth came back around and leaped onto
the Geodude and latched on.
It was not what she had planned, but the Pokemon had given her
little choice in the matter.

"I have to admit." Brock said. "Your Meowth's reflexes are
impressive." It's dodging abilities were good. "It still needs
training though." This was evident in it's acting without
command. "Geodude, you know what to do!" Geodude responded with
a quick "Geo" Before reaching back and grabbing the Meowth off
it's back, and attempting to toss it out of the ring.
