~Marrok's body froze for a moment before he took his next step,
He was a bit wary of what would possibly happen. He no longer
had the power he once had. Now just a super human what roll did
he have to play in this. "Oh well" Was all he spoke as he
continued to walk. He was not going to leave Tala again, nor
was he going to leave his precious Aelin. This was his dream.
As he continued to walk he could see Arcane and Demarious in the
clearing just ahead. Marrok began to jog to close the gap
between them. Soon coming to a sudden stop, As his violet hues
fell upon Arcane, the demon king look exhausted. "Well well old
man I guess it is time to retire." Marrok chuckled lightly as he
walked to Demarious patting the young Aruliean on the back.
Marrok then walked beside Arcane and wrapped him in a massive
hug. "Thank you for releasing me." He whispered slightly into
the ear of the Aruliean King. Arcane nodded and stepped away
from Marrok. "You're welcome Old friend." His sentence cut
short by a series of coughing. "Dad' Demarious stepped forward.
Marrok stepped back a bit. "It's time." As he finished his
sentence, he stopped Demarious from coming. "Let's form the
triangle. We need to get started." Arcane and Demarious agreed
as they all joined hands. As the moments passed it became clear
to Marrok what role he played in this. His body was to be the
transfer case. Demarious's body was still somewhat fragile and
would need Marrok's body to filter the negative energies away.
Marrok closed his eyes slowly. "I will come home to you my
love." Was his last thought as the winds began to pick up.~
~The ground beneath them began to tremble with fear as the
energies between Demarious and Arcane began to lash out
violently. Arcane began to recite the ancient language of the
Arulieans. As he went on the powers grew stronger. Once he
finished a massive dome of explosive energy formed around the
trio to prevent any interruptions. The dome wiped out a massive
portion of the trees as for it exceeded the perimeter of the
       clearing.~

"...Though the world is fast asleep
Though your pillow's soft and deep
You're not sleepy as you seem
Stay awake, don't nod and dream
Stay awake, don't nod and dream"
Tala continued to sing Aelin's lullabye as she gently caressed
her daughter's hair. Aelin's stormy, blue eyes had fluttered
closed, and she'd nuzzled her small body comfortably into the
bed. Tala could only have imagined how exhausted the little girl
must be after such an eventful day. Fear and worry still gripped
at Tala's mind, but gazing onto her daughter's peacefully asleep
face brought calm to the mother's heart.
When she was sure Aelin was fast asleep, Tala stood and kissed
her daughter's soft cheek. She tiptoed quietly out of the room
and pulled the door shut behind her, leaving it just slightly
ajar. It was the same exercise Tala had done every night since
Aelin had been old enough to sleep in her own room. While the
sweet little one seemed to be able to sleep through most
anything, if she sensed her mother was no longer by her side,
she would wake and cry for Tala to return to stroking her hair.
Quickly, but silently, Tala made her way out of the cottage just
in time to see the three men standing in a triangle as Arcane
began to chant. She stepped down off of the porch and began to
walk forward only to be taken aback by a large wall of energy
forming a barrier around the men. The wind whipped Tala's skirt
around her legs and lifted her hair from her shoulders. She
lifted an arm in front of her eyes to shield them from the
debris of leaves and dirt that the wind had kicked up. She
wished to call out to Marrok, but knew that he surely would not
       hear her.

~With the battling energies between the two Arulieans, Arcane's
grip on Marrok's hand grew stronger as the transfer of power was
beginning Arcane and Demarious both cratered the crust beneath
them as Marrok was still atop earth. Marrok was still human, he
was nothing compared to the Aruliean blood. But this was about
to change. Arcane's power began to flow through Marrok and into
Demarious. The young man began to scream in pain as his own
energy battled his fathers. Marrok began to feel an old
sensation, The Sensation of the two energies he once possessed
and conquered. Chaos and Corruption energies. Marrok took down
the Demon Kings of these possessive energies. His body began
to ache for power once more, the strength and stamina of power
pulsing through his veins. Arcane's grip grew weaker as his
power had almost entered Marrok entirely. The purpose of Marrok
was to obtain power once again and help Demarious fight the
Demon kings that Arcane possessed so that Demarious could Become
       the king of them.~
As time passed Arcane's soul vanquish as his body turned to
bandages and fell to the crust below. Tears formed in the
violet hues of Marrok. "You will be missed old friend, i'll
help your son get through this." Marrok's voice was shaky as a
portion of him disappeared. "I have faith in you, you're
different than I am...Both of you are. Marrok and Demarious,
you two must work together to take out the enemies before you.
Only a fraction of the transfer has begun. The real battle lies
ahead. And Demarious, Son you are my greatest creation. You
have all of my Strengths and none of my flaws. You will make a
woman worthy of you very happy some day. I love you son....."
Arcane's voice faded as Demarious began to cry. Crystal tears
fell from the heart broken hues of the boy. "I will make you
proud Father. I will continue you're legacy." Was all the boy
spoke as Marrok released a hellish roar as his power returning
to him. The earth cratered beneath the Chaotic monster that was
being brought to life. The crimson and violet energies
rampaged through the blood of Marrok. Marrok stepped over and
grabbed the hand of the young Aruliean. The God of Chaos and
Corruption has returned. It was now time to face the other
       demons.~
~Marrok turned his head to look through the barrier. He saw his
love standing with such worry on her facial features. He smiled
as he spoke softly. "Don't worry my Love, I have regained my
strength. I will return to you. I love you" With that said
the two beings dispersed and reappeared within the realm of the
Demon Kings. The barrier remained atop the clearing as massive
bolts of chaotic lightning struck violently.~

The shifting of great energies pressed down on Tala's senses
with an enormous weight. She felt as if she could hardly
continue to stand, let alone move. Shaking her head and gripping
her hand into a fist tightly at her side, she whispered to
herself harshly under her breath, "Stop it." She willed herself
to remain grounded and in control of her body despite the
changing powers that overwhelmed her clairsentient abilities.
Tala could hardly move her arm from its position shielding her
face from flying debris to see what was occurring. In all of the
commotion, she managed to see for a moment that Arcane's body
had faded away. Then, in the next moment, Marrok and Demarious
disappeared as well. Hot tears stung Tala's eyes as she
struggled to move beyond the barrier. "MARROK!" she screamed out
       after him.
She knew her attempt at calling out to him was futile, but she
had to do something. Tala couldn't do nothing and risk losing
her love once more. Quickly, she gathered her thoughts and
rushed around the side of the cottage. She flung open the cellar
doors that she found there and hastily made her way down the
steps. When she reached the bottom, she held her hand out flat
in front of her lips and blew a breath of air across it. The
many candles surrounding the edges of the cellar flickered to
life. Tala grabbed a piece of red chalk from the table closest
to her and began to etch a large circle on the dirt floor. The
circle was large enough to completely encase her body if she
were to lay flat in the center of it. Around the outside of the
circle, she inscribed nine Yr runes pointing outwards from the
       center of the circle.
Laying in the center of the circle, Tala rested her hands on her
stomach to feel the rise and fall of her breath and closed her
eyes. Focusing on her breath, tuning out all thoughts and
emotions, the shamanic witch began to fall into a trance state.
Reaching out with her mind, Tala began to picture the shape of
an animal... with speckled grey fur... and piercing yellow
       eyes... and pointed ears.
"Loki..." she called out softly to her fylgja, her animal guide.
The wolf bounded out from the darkness in Tala's mind, and
slowly the darkness began to take the shape of a pathway through
a forest of trees. Visualizing herself beginning to step out of
the circle and down the pathway, Loki paced in front of Tala's
feet, sprinted out in front of her, and then back to her side
once more begging her to continue to follow him.
