       A drop in the ocean
By: Brunnhilde Date: April 14, 2016, 6:09 pm

The afternoon sun glinted softly through the trees. A soft
breeze fluttered through the newly sprouted leaves. The chains
that held up the wooden bench swing creaked as Tala's bare toes
pressed into the porch to gently push back and forth. She sat
with a knit blanket wrapped loosely around her shoulders. In her
hands she grasped a ceramic mug. Slowly sipping at the warm,
bitter beverage, Tala let her blue-grey eyes close. Letting the
heat of the sun warm her soul, a sense of peace washed over her.
For the first time in years, she was beginning to feel grounded
again. Her family was safe and whole. She and her younger sister
had found their place amongst the coven once more. Her two
children had grown into beautiful, strong young adults that she
couldn't have been more proud of. But despite all of this,
Tala's mind still began to wander...
It wandered to a love long past... An unfinished fable... A
person taken from her far too hastily...
She had had great love in her life, her late husband and the
father of her children. But that was not to whom her mind
wandered. She had long since come to peace with his death.
Instead, she thought of the person that no one could ever have
predicted she would share another great love with. It was only
shortly after their romance had begun that he had disappeared.
However, with the imminent threat of danger to her family at the
time, Tala's priorities had not aligned in such a way to allow
her to seek out this missing love. She had been forced to push
her personal feelings to the side in order to best honor her
duties to the rest of her loved ones.
But now, with her sister and niece and children protected within
the bosom of the coven, Tala's mind could not help but drift to
       Marrok.

~The entirety of this realm was that of peace and relaxation.
Once roaming atop the earthen crust of this planet a love so
strong that none could break. Or so the two lovers thought. The
day had come when Marrok disappeared. This memory played over
and over in the mind of Arcane. His time was drawing near and he
wanted to set his better half free. Arcane appeared within the
shadows of the forest. Scanning the realm with enhanced vision.
Searching any threats, moments passed the scan was clean except
for one thing. A woman within a cabin was off in the distance.
Arcane smiled. "Good she's here." was all he spoke as a
vibrant explosion erupted. Within the radius of the impact
stood two bodies now. One was Arcane and the other had
cascading silver hair, his body that was once torn and beaten
had been reborn and fresh with new flesh. Standing across from
the dying Demon was King Marrok now younger then he was and full
of life. Marrok was made up of the kind, caring, and loving
side. Arcane nodded as he vanished. With Marrok left behind he
looked around slowly. "This....realm it's familiar, Someone dear
to me resides here."He began to walk step after step. No power
was seeping from this man. He was almost human, Arcane had given
the life that Marrok had always wanted. Though Marrok had no
energy power, he had the blood and dna of demon's coursing
through his veins which gave him incredible strength and speed.
His senses were still enhanced, he came to the edge of the
forest and arrived with an abrupt stop. Tears filled his indigo
hues. "Tala" was all he can say.~

As Tala brought the ceramic mug to her lips once more, a young
woman with warm, brunette hair and the same striking grey-blue
eyes placed her hands on Tala's shoulder and stooped to place a
kiss on her cheek. "Lost in thought, Mother?" Ayra questioned.
A smile crept across Tala's visage as her daughter's lips pecked
her cheek. "Ah, sorry. Yes, my sweet girl," she replied. "Are
you taking your leave then? Do you have the books and herbs Gram
       requested?"
"Yes, mother," Ayra answered with a slightly annoyed tone and
patted the satchel that hung from her shoulder. Skipping down
off the steps of the porch and a few feet away from the cottage,
she turned on her heel to say, "Perhaps if you came back down to
Earth for awhile you might see that the subject of your thoughts
is closer than you think!" With a knowing, satisfied giggle,
Ayra took off at a sprint, disappearing into the trees.
Tala furrowed her brow in confusion. She had absolutely no
notion of what her daughter could possibly have meant by her
parting words. That is until Tala did as Ayra had said and
allowed her focus to come out of her imagination and back to the
physical world. A gasp escaped from Tala as she sensed a
presence just at the point where the clearing surrounding her
cottage met the trees. The ceramic mug fell from her hands and
landed with a crash on the wooden porch. She let the knitted
blanket fall from around her shoulders as she stood to take a
few hesitantly curious steps down the porch stairs and across
the newly sprouted grass. Her voice cracked with emotion as she
       muttered the name, "Mar-rok?"

~As Marrok examined the woman across the clearing, he realized
he was next to nude. Sighing lightly he snapped his fingers as
a new attire appeared. His hair shortening and his stature
remaining strong. Now dressed in a pearl black attire, silver
accents glow around his waist and around his boots. A Black
over coat with crimson tinted accents. Only thing that was
missing was his famous blade. But Marrok was aware of where the
beast was. Putting his hand into the confines of his jacket,
Marrok took a breath as he noticed the younger woman speak to
the other, came forward and turned to speak once more before
vanishing into the depths of the forest. His concentration was
broken by the sound of smashing ceramic. Looking back the
beautiful creature had risen and stepped forth, in return Marrok
did the same. The two syllable name that left her lips
confirmed that she was who he was seeking. Marrok yelled
louder, "Tala..My love I have returned." Just as he finished
his last sentence he lunged forward, feeling the strength
through his new body course vibrantly. He was within inches of
her in moments. "My Love i have missed you." His heart beating
rapid, as his body tingled with the loving sensation he had
       missed so much.~

Tears welled in Tala's eyes and fell down her porcelain cheeks.
A gauzy, thin, grey dress whirled in the breeze around her
ankles. Pieces of her raven black hair had fallen from where
they were pinned and framed her face. Her voice had caught in
her throat, and her body trembled with emotion. It had been
nearly a decade since this man had stood before her, telling her
that he loved her. Tala knew not whether she cried of happiness
or sorrow or anger. Her thoughts and emotions swirled around in
her mind in a chaotic mess of confusion.
Drawing an open hand back, she planted a hard slap across
Marrok's cheek. Then, catching his face in both of her hands,
she planted an even harder kiss upon his lips. Electricity
seemed to tingle throughout her body as their lips met. Her
knees grew weak, and she allowed herself to lean against
Marrok's chest. Heart pounding in her chest and breath heavy
with emotion, Tala broke the kiss to rest her forehead against
his. "Do not ever leave me again," she lectured, her voice harsh
with all of the moments she had spent angry with him for not
being by her side and all of the moments she had spent angry
with herself for not going after him.

~Emotions that came from Tala put Marrok's heart at ease.
Knowing she still loved him and was still his. She was just as
beautiful as the day he left if not more. She was the diamond
of his life and intended on never leaving her side again. He was
finally free from all the danger, confusion, battle, wars, and
another hindrance that plagued his life. As tears began to
cascade down his cheeks, he raised a gentle hand and wiped them
away. "I am so sorry my Love." was all he could speak before her
small hand left a welt on his right cheek. before he could
respond she was pressed against him and locked his lips in a
deep passionate kiss. Marrok wrapped his arms around her and
hugged her tight. The sheer sensation of their lips meeting was
more then enough to send his hormones through the roof. he had
been imprisoned for so long. Just as the kiss was broken, she
leaned against him harder he nodded as she spoke. "My heart I
promise I will always be here from here on out." He ran his
hands through her raven locks, as his own silver strands flailed
       in the breeze.~
~Stepping around her, taking her hand in his. He sat down on
the wooden porch. "Tala my love, I need you to understand that I
did not leave by choice." He looked up to her with vibrant
purple hues. "Arcane took me back into his body and made us one
again. But now his time is coming and he has changed quite a
bit. He decided to release me back to you and to let me live my
life to it's fullest. " He took a deep breath as he looked out
to the surroundings. "I am so happy to be home, and here with
you is all I could ask for. Now we can start our own family."
His tone gentle, kind, and caring.~

Her bottom lip quivered as Marrok promised he would always be
with her. She tried to hold back sobs of pain as years of
heartbreak came to the surface, for it was not just Marrok who
had ever left her. First it had been her mother's early death,
then her sister's choice to leave the coven, and finally her
husband's repetitive disappearances which ended in his death.
Abandonment was not an issue easily dealt with for Tala. While
she had tried to always keep a strong exterior for her family,
her children, there always came a point when she broke.
As Marrok took her hand in his and sat upon the porch, Tala
continued to sniffle back tears. He didn't leave her? It wasn't
his fault? Her mind tried to wrap itself around his words, and
only it only came to one conclusion. "I.. it's all my fault. I
should have gone after you! I could have done something!" she
cried. "But.. but, no, I couldn't. My sister.. my family.. they
were in danger. They needed me here..."
Sitting down on the porch beside Marrok, Tala placed her elbows
on her knees and her head in her hands. She took a few deep
breaths and scrunched her bare toes against the dirt in an
attempt to ground herself. After a minute, she lifted her head
and wiped her tear stained cheeks with her fingertips. "It... it
doesn't matter now. You're here, and I love you."

~Marrok observed as his love took in all his words. He knew
this would be hard on her and that his disappearance didn't
help. He felt terrible for leaving but it was out of his power,
Arcane was far stronger then he and would have harmed Tala and
her home. Marrok couldn't let that happen. He sighed lightly as
he listened to her speak. Once she sat down he pulled her to
his side and kissed her tear stained cheek. "My love relax, if
you tried to come after me, Arcane would have killed you and
destroyed everything you knew. I couldn't let him do that too
you. I love you more then anything in this universe and
galaxies."he paused and kissed her forehead. Marrok took the
hand he was holding and placed it to his heart. "If it wasn't
for Arcane my love, I wouldn't be in a new body, younger, and
not plagued by the demons that once dwelled within my confines."
       He smiled~
~He leaned forward and placed a loving, gentle kiss upon her
luscious lips. "Tala my love, I now have the ability to be the
man you have always wanted and need. Yea I'm cursed with the
Aruliean blood line. But none the less a better man."~

       [font=andale mono]
"I love you too," Tala mumbled quietly as Marrok kissed her
forehead. She could be angry, hurt, heartbroken; she could blame
him; she could blame herself, but none of it mattered. None of
it mattered because she still loved him. Part of her knew that
she always would love him. As he placed her hand on his heart,
she let her thumb caress his chest. "You may be younger, but
you're still a cradle robber," she giggled through her tears.
As Marrok leaned in to kiss Tala, she wrapped her arms around
his neck, fearing that if she let go for even a moment he might
disappear again. She pressed her lips to his, returning the
kiss. Her stomach fluttered with joy. "Better man or worse, all
that I could care about is that I have you here again," Tala
       said through a small smile.
"So many things have happened. There have been so many moments I
wish I could have shared with you, so many times I wished you
could have been there to confide in," Tala confessed, thinking
of all that had happened with her reconciliation with her
sister, and their return to the coven. "And the children!" she
remembered, "Ayra was only ten when you left. Did you see her
leave? She's grown into a beautiful young woman and a talented
witch, but she has so much of her father in her; stubborn to the
core. Actually, she was on her way back to the Blackbird Coven.
We've been living with my grandmother and the coven for quite
awhile now. It's.. uhm.. a long story. But my younger sister,
Phoebe, came to me some years ago, we reconciled our differences
because witch hunters had been threatening her and her daughter,
Kara. The coven was the safest place for us to be. After the way
in which she and I both left it, took some time for them to get
used to us being there again. And then, of course, there was the
whole saga of Kara being half witch, half succubus... such a
dangerous combination that Gram had to bind her powers. But the
bindings only lasted until she turned thirteen, and then her
powers took over, and we had to try to keep her from being
turned dark by the succubus Lilith. Do you remember Lilith? You
might have met her a long time ago. Anyways, with the help of
Kara's other mother, Morrigan, we were able to find Kara and
keep her safe." Suddenly, Tala realized she had been rambling,
and she grew quiet as her thoughts slowly trailed off.

~The flesh beneath Marrok's eye's started to darken when Tala
said "I love you too". The former god held this beautiful woman
in his loving embrace hard. He absolutely loved the way her
delicate skin felt against the rough flesh of his massive hands.
Who would have ever thought that The King Marrok and The Lady
Tala would be together in the end. These two creatures hated
each other years ago. But cupid worked his magic and caused the
two to fall in love for eternity. But of course like any amazing
love story it came to an end for the time being. The two
separated by Arcane Arulieus, this Left Tala alone and Marrok in
a deep cryo-stasis. Marrok's train of thought came to an end
when his love called him a "Cradle Robber".. He quirked a brow
lightly as he looked down to his love, "Oh really? because i'm
old and you're young?" He tone sarcastic as he grinned. "That
must make you the opposite of a cradle robber. I'm old as hell
my love." He laughed as he stepped back a little bit. For the
first time in decades Marrok felt amazing, his body no longer
torn to shreds, he had a lot of catching up to do and ass
kissing to make it up to Tala. He sighed lightly as he thought
about it. Deep down Marrok felt terrible for leaving her
behind. Even though it was out of his control he never wanted to
       leave her side.~
~As Marrok pulled from his kiss to her forehead, he could
nothing but smile as all she cared about was him being home and
back in her embrace. He stepped forward wapping his massive
arms around her waist, Pulling her close and leaning in he
whispered in her ear. "I will always be here baby. I love you
and will forever be by your side." With his last word, his hands
slid down her waist and gripped her luscious ass. Smiling
lightly he lifted her with ease and kissed her neck. He missed
her scent so much, he pulled back a bit and shook his head.
"I'm sorry my love, we can save this for later." He set her down
gently Once he set her down they both sat and Tala began to
       speak.~
~As the former god sat and listened, his heart began to break.
He had left her when she needed him most, His hatred for Arcane
slightly began to rise but Marrok knew he was powerless against
the new God. he wrapped an arm around Tala as he pulled her
close while she began to fill him on what happened. As she
began to tell him about the children and mentioning Ayra and
that she was the young female who had left so quickly earlier.
"That was her?.....Wow she has grown so much in my absence."
Small pools of crystal clear liquid began to form beneath the
hues of Marrok. Why did this have to happen to him? He should
have been here to support her and the children. Marrok shook
his head lightly. "I'm so sorry Tala. I wasn't here when I was
suppose to be. When you and the others needed me." He raised
his left hand and slammed it against the ground, but with Marrok
not being infused with raw energy anymore the impact was not
like the past. As his fist made contact with the crust beneath
them, only a few cracks came into view. Marrok's knuckle began
to bleed slightly. He shook his hand lightly and listened as
Tala Continued, so much had happen while he was gone. But all
of this was in the past. He was here now, and he was going to
       cherish every moment with Tala.~
