Jasper had been seated with Essie for some time, just enjoying
each other's company, picking at each other when they caught
openings. They had a few drinks, and danced and generally
enjoyed each other's company. But Jasper couldn't help but feel
that they weren't being social enough. Other than the couple
they met earlier, they hadn't really spoken with anyone. "Come
on." He said, leading her away from the table once more. There
was a gathering of men around a woman who was admittedly
stunning. That was a bad scene. Instead, he took his date to the
woman who seemed to be organizing the party. She was walking
around speaking to people but they hadn't had a chance to speak
with her yet. Jasper nodded to both her and the man whom she
approached, not wanting to intrude. "Room for two more?"

Not a second after she had asked the
intruding creature for his alias did Aetus appear behind
Adonis, instantly diverting her attention to her date. Her eyes
took him in at first, not saying a thing. The god really was
handsome; his taut muscles, the definition sure to draw
attention, in the tight, black fabric covering it like a second
skin. As the gods stand next to each other, it dawns on her they
are family, their subtle resemblance uncanny. Adonis was still
playful, even as he experiences Aetus’ commanding essence. As
the man dressed clad in black moves next to her, they stand tall
together, Afroditi noticing his unease and the wink, from
Adonis; along with more flattering words.
Oh gosh. How could she forget?
He had kept himself from humans for years, it was only
understandable they made him feel so displaced. Without thinking
twice, a hand reaches out to his, gripping his fingers gently
under his cloak, in an attempt to offer some sort of calm.
It was ironic, their choice of attire; one had come dressed as
the angel she is, the other had come, completely opposing it,
though the woman didn’t complain. His jaw was clenched, as he
watched her, Afroditi only meeting his gaze with a benevolent
leer of her own. Her eyes screamed for him to stay at ease, not
to be affected by the sheer magnitude of power he owned and the
endless possibilities of what it could do, to the very people
surrounding them. His godly reign was tangible in the air, and
the woman’s radiance spoke of her contentment, as she stood by
his side.
“Just relax,” she whispers, soothingly, not allowing her voice
to go beyond his vicinity, Adonis taking it upon himself to get
the drinks.
When he comes back and hands her a glass, she tilts her head to
the side, taking it in her free hand, letting its scent overtake
her senses before shaking her head.
“No, I don’t think I’ll be drinking tonight.”

The white robed mage was quite enjoying himself,
watching the others converse, enjoy and indulge in the night’s
festivities. Not a lot of places he has visited truly celebrated
winter, or even used it to have such a grand crowd of particular
entities. Through the threads, he could feel the presence of
those who had might beyond what most couldn’t even fathom to
have.
Truly, it was an incredible event to simple admire from afar…
But would he dare join in the festivities? Maybe it was still
too soon, but he caught onto someone making an approach to him,
which had a brow cock up in surprise. His smile only became
grander as a woman approached him, dressed beautifully for the
occasion. The question she posed to him certainly had him
excited a little. “But of course!” He exclaimed with enthusiasm.
“This was a fortunate find among my travels, a soft reminder of
the good times.” He continued, standing up. "Who might I have
the honor of speaking to?” He asked politely.
Just as the question was asked, two more came towards them, to
which they wanted to join them in their conversation. “Of
course.” He said softly as he waved his hand, tendrils of purple
energy escaping from his sleeves. This time, a larger amount of
this mysterious energy came to manifest itself, forming into two
different shapes, or so it was at first. It slowly morphed and
held a physical embodiment; two luxurious couches had been
formed, enough for the four of them and maybe two extra embers
to seat comfortably amongst each other. “Please, take a
seat.”

"Another blackwood?" Charade nearly leaped out of his skin with
glee, giggling to himself as he all but ignored the strange
intrusion to his own bubble from the woman who had contacted him
first. Charade ignored other questions and nearly danced up to
the other man, not excited to see this one. "Hmmm Cousins... The
blackwood line is so intrudin... I mean intriguing..." He
studied the man, near wrapping around him as he paced way too
close for comfort, examining every inch and then looking to the
weapon he carried. "Hmmm... interesting. Yes, quite. Yes..."
With the eyebrows furrowing up, making the solid holes on his
mask grow wider as he looked to the woman finally and chuckled.
"I am... Charade Edarahc. Character. No real title to be held.
But you miss. To crawl in with these types. How..." He now
entered her personal space, coming up close, nearly nose to nose
with her with a chuckle. "strange for your pantheon." He then
darted away with a short burst of laughter. "But excuse me. I
can see this one is uncomfortable with my advances."
The one trailed off to get drinks and Charade once more giggled.
"God of love and Blackwood of tragedy... Rather... Ironic set of
compliments." He ignored the big one now as he shifted back to
the goddess and wrapped an arm over her shoulder and waved his
hand across the scape before them. "Imagine... One of the most
powerful pantheon of gods show up to a ball. Each one causes
some sort of ill omen in their presence based on their power...
Or a good omen depending on mood. Poetic, if you ask me, AM I
right?"
He once more skirted away and took a bow. "I don't mean to
intrude on your little party here. But I am fascinated with your
types. Gods... Its strange to not believe in you but see you
wandering about at the same time. It's very confusing."

Her green eyes rested on his as he talked to her of the party
being a good find. She nodded. " We worked very hard to put it
together. I can't see her but I think the lady who decorated is
around here somewhere."As he asked about her name Razie reached
out and grabbed two white wines, handling him one.
"My name is Ra-" She started but was interrupted by the Royals
attending. "Um hello. Yes of course you may join sir." She bowed
her head then took a seat looking back to the man in white
robes. "As I was saying. My name is Razie. May I ask yours?
Thank you for the seats. Something is familiar about these
couches though I can't place my finger on it."

He cocked his head to the side at his cousin, nodding slightly;
though his brows were raised in surprise, 'Really? I hadn't
known weapons were forbidden. In my experience, weapons were
apart of formal parties. That being said, it is usually longer
blades than my own...'
Suddenly, he felt self-conscious about his long knife; that now
all would look at him and laugh. His face hardened and his eyes
glittered dangerously. There was almost the beginnings of a
snarl as he moved to face those gathered, but he stopped; her
eyes catching his and he eased himself into a more relaxed
state. 'Perhaps I just spend too much time in the past...' He
murmured softly, his fingers returning the squeeze to her own as
he sighed.
He took the drink, inhaling the scent before taking a drink, a
slow pull of the liquid that warmed him.
His head tilted in thanks to Afroditi, 'Forgive my tardiness. If
I had known I would be so... preoccupied, I would not have left
you alone or offered to take you.'
While her hand was soft compared to his, worn and callused from
years and years of carpentry and various activities that
occupied his time. He looked at the masked figure, inclining his
head in greeting. He felt the strangeness of this being but
merely accepted it. 'As you've met Adonis, I am Aetus, God of
Time and Blackwood of Fate.'
There was mild interest as he stared at this cloaked figure.
'Charade... How interesting... I would enjoy taking time to read
you, though perhaps at a less crowded event.'
The cloaked man brought a chuckle from Aetus's throat, a deep
and throat sound that was rarely heard; a pure sound that made
the air quiver. 'We are thoughts, made by humans; ideals
encompassed by their greed, their lust, their need to be ruled
and to be governed. We make them, but they make us. Perhaps out
of all of my Pantheon, I am the closest to them as I am more...
man made than the rest; fate and time are only things of human
creation, the rest are natural forces. Interesting is mildly
putting it.'
He rolled his shoulders, uncaring of the mans intruding nature.
It was not often something interested him as much as this one
had and he wished to be able to know more about this creature.
'Feel free to seek me out should you wish to talk. You've piqued
my interest, which is a rare thing, and I wish to sate that.'
'Gentlemen, if you'll excuse us, I fear I have lost time to make
up with this woman.'
The Blackwood sat his drink down on the table and pulled
Afroditi to her feet, whisking her away to the dance floor.

At this time, a man in an all black Armani suit made his way
onto the stage, carrying a handful of notecards. The music came
to a halt, and the lights dimmed, leaving only an array of
spotlights pointed up at the stage. He cleared his throat before
speaking up. "Excuse me everyone!" His voice was powerful, yet
inviting, perfect for a radio or talk show host.
"It's time to announce the Court for our Winter Ball!" He said
happily. "If your name is called, please come up to the stage to
accept your sash!"
*** This moment marks the second half of the Event. Please allow
those who are present an opportunity to come up to the stage and
accept their awards ***
"Our first award for the night is "Most Likely to rule the
world." He removed the notecard from it's envelope and looked at
it. "And the winner is..." A drumroll donned before he read the
name
"URDROXA!" (Not present. You don't have to wait for him)
After The sash was put over the winner's neck, he immediately
went on to the next name.
"Our next award is for "Most likely to bring about World Peace!"

Anothe Drumroll. "The winner is, Afrodite!!!

Maybe Afroditi deserved Charade’s inquisitive
nature after her sudden episode with him, invading his personal
space though he hadn’t seemed to care much. So when he made it a
mission to make her feel uncomfortable, she too, like Aetus
shrugged it off, smiling kindly.
“Are you an English major?” She jokes, examining the mask,
taking advantage while he’s so close, before continuing on to
assure him no such thing would happen. The gods had control over
their powers and it wasn’t their intent to leave bad omens in
their wake. They had merely come to take some time off of their
responsibilities and enjoy the night, among their mortal
companions.
She had dismissed Aetus’ apology with another squeeze to his
hand, letting her actions speak on her behalf, before placing
her glass next to his when he mentions the time he had lost.
God of time, and fate had lost time.
The guests that had been dancing before had gotten tired and
taken their seats, now engaging in conversation with others. The
dance floor was practically empty, Aetus taking the lead as they
stand in the middle, under the exquisite chandelier. One hand is
already placed in his, the other sliding up the length of his
arm, stopping at his shoulder and sitting flat on it. Afroditi
was beautiful in every aspect, it wasn’t her beauty that
enthralled and captured the hearts of others, but her poise, her
grace, both evident when they begin to move, with ease and
charm.
Their bodies seem to mould perfectly together, his lean stature
was not causing her discomfort, but putting her at ease. The
goddess of beauty knew she was in safe hands and as they dance
to the music, the moment they share begins to intensify, her
eyes not once, leaving his.
Perhaps tonight, Afroditi would dig deep into the pit of
emotions in her stomach and get in touch with one she hadn’t in
a long, long time.

HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4bXBmHjVwI
She is lost in the dance, and the music but
before they could anticipate, it comes to a stop, confused when
she’s forced to halt, and sighing as the figure walks onto the
stage to make announcements. The woman is still holding Aetus’
hands when her name rings in her ears, looking at her date,
stunned she had even been considered for such a title. How
ironic. She shares a laugh with him, thinking back to when they
had first met, the wars he had seen in the past, the wars he had
predicted to be brought into existence, all for Afroditi and to
stand here next to him and win ‘most likely to bring about world
peace.’
What a paradox. She would walk with Aetus to the stage and once
there, depart from him shortly, only to receive her sash. Having
done so, she walks back down the stairs, to the god, once
more.

Kira watched the stage and smiled, clapping for urdoxa and
Afroditi before making her way over to Xamphere, sitting beside

She as feeling quite tipsy but still excited and awaited to

Her hold on Jasper's arm tightened as the awards started. It had
truly been a wonderful evening so far. She stood on her tiptoes
and kissed his cheek. It felt so good just to be able to touch
him like this. All those years wasted on immature matters that
could have rendered their relationship with ruined irrevocably
so... It was hard to imagine such a thing.
The woman's felt much tighter than usual as her ribcage expanded
more and more while she took more breaths than usual. Nervous as
she was, she made sure to never let it slip into her expression.
She allowed him to lead her toward the stage and they waited as
awards were read.
