Nodding to the woman who identified herself as Kelsea, Maru
smiled. "Apologies for the start, there, Kelsea. it's nice to
meet you as well, though. What brings you to a place like this?
It cant be the quietness." He chuckled, offering the likely
ill-fated joke. "Mind if I ask why you're here, all by your
lonesome?" As he spoke, being quick to study her looks, the
demon lord couldn't help but feel himself at least somewhat
attracted to him. Wondering if a ceremonial kimono was ideal for
such an event, he realized he had no other clothing types
besides kimonos and smirked to himself. "I must say, that is a
very nice dress you're wearing." He spoke softly to her, as if
in private.
Then, noticing the other woman standing there, he previously
hadn't paid much attention to her; figuring she was just another
patron at the even but he'd overheard her last name
inadvertently. Looking to her for a moment, he spoke. "You must
be Razor's daughter. I suppose I should officially welcome you
to the Bloodrose. however.." He looked around, just to make
reference to his next point. "This doesn't seem to be the time
or place for that. That will likely come sometime later." Then,
he smiled and nodded to her, before returning his attention to
the beautiful woman in the gothic dress.

She smiled to her dance partner and nodded. "Thank you. I fear
it's been years since I've danced how ever
But I thank you anyway. " The truth of her words went deeper
than just not having danced over the years but also lay in the
fact that she had been dead for a while and that she herself
were an illusion, brought forth for tonight.
When the song ended she bowed to her partner and smiled. "Thank
you Aiden. If you would like me to dance with you again let me
know I would be glad to. She gave him a slight Curtsy and
turned to run off. Ready to chase down the nearest waiter.

So she -did- have a date... Oh well! If he was foolish enough to
keep her waiting, it was his loss! Though Adonis was curios as
to who it was who had produced such a perfect date! Paying it no
mind, he grinned upon hearing her response. It was no surprise
that she wasn't easily taken by the company of a God. After all,
it was likely a regular thing for her. No matter.
When she returned his question, a smirk played on his face.
"Well, if it's left to me. I absolutely can!" He said. Many
would be caught of guard by her apparent sarcasm, but like so
many others in his family, Adonis exuded a certain confidence.
In his mind, she had asked him a legitimate question, and left
it to him to answer it. So naturally, he would give the answer
that best appealed to him.
The odd character that caught the Goddess' eye caught the
attention of Adonis as well. He gave a quick glance, but it was
hardly as interesting as the creature that stood before him.
When she asked his name, he offered her a smile, flashing
perfect white teeth as he did so. "Adonis." He told her. "May I
ask yours as well?" Once she had shared her name, he took her
hand, planting a kiss on the back of it. "May I get you a
drink?" He asked. It seemed a shame to attend a party with no
spirits. Of course, there was still plenty of time for all of
that. Just something to break the ice.

Eye. He felt eyes. The trickster noticed instantly when someone
was looking in his direction and his body turned instantly away
from his object of importance to the one not so far away from
him. Before he could lock a gaze with the woman herself, She had
turned back to the man who seemingly was speaking to her.
"What's this?" He flicked the lighter open once, the metallic
clicking ringing through the room as a simple undertone,
unnoticeable to all who weren't listening for it. "Hmmm.
Occupied it seems." He stashed the lighter in his pocket and
grumbled under his breath. "I will deal with you later. Don't
move. I need to mingle with someone else than just myself and
you."
He feathered his cloak and then made a simple skipping motion,
vanishing into the shadow of a table and then instantly
appearing behind the male talking to the woman who had taken
interest in his presence. He placed his hands under his cloak
and onto the small of his back as he peaked over the man's
shoulder. "Interesting." He would speak, before once more
vanishing and appearing beside Adonis, bringing himself in and
violating what humans would call a 'Personal Space Bubble' "I
haven't had the chance to investigate a different Blackwood.
What are you of?"

Kira looked to the man, Maru and nodded to him. "Yes I thought
you knew my father. I agree though we should enjoy this party
not ruin it with business." She waved bye to the two and left to
find another waiter with the red wine she was enjoying so much.
Weaving around people and loosing site of Xam. Her glass now
finally empty but right on time for a waiter walked toward her.
She excitedly waved the man down picking up a new glass and
giving him the empty one. "Thanks." She winked to the waiter and
moved out of his was swirling her wine.

A Winter Ball? How long has it been since he had
ever been to any of those? Hundreds of years? His memory was
playing games with him, eluding those times he was offered to
dance with the masses and enjoy a drink of his own making. Now,
it was time for yet another one of them for him to indulge in.
He marched into the establishment with little than his lightly
decorated robe of the mages. It held a pale blue tint, given by
the one that created him by accident… Though he felt like this
wasn’t proper to the area. No, this was a winter ball! There
needed to be slight changes. His arm came up from his side and a
single snap of his fingers had the blue tint of his clothing
lifted off the fabric and floated away into the nothingness of
the air. In its place was the beautiful color of the snow, a
pure white tissue.
Satisfied, he moved forth into the room, looking at the folks
gathered. He looked just like most gathered; your typical human
being. He remained at an average height for a man, along with
short, scruffy black strands of hair. He wouldn’t be very
distinguishable among them, with the exception of his eyes. The
irises were filled with this metallic bronze color, mostly
unknown amongst the mortals. It was something unique to him, to
his creation. Along with it came a gentle, welcoming smile that
anyone could feel comfortable with, or maybe find suspicion in
its ease. How one would come to view it would remain to the eye
of the beholder.
Of course, he knew of none of those gathered, mostly because he
was an uninvited guest. He just so happens to have come here in
all his travels and heard wind of this event. How could he
resist a gathering of such magnitude? He couldn’t. With a casual
walk towards an empty seat, a little ways away from where
couples were dancing, he brought his hand up, as if he was
holding a something within his hand. From the moment he lifted
it up, purple strands of magical energy slowly escaped from
under his sleeve, swirling around his skin and then outward. It
came to change and alter itself; pure tendrils of magic turned
into wood, forming a mug, and within it, there was a dark liquid
that smelled of wild fruits. This creation came to finish just
as he took a seat, bringing the sweet liquids to his lips. On
the first gulp, he could already feel pleased at his formation.
Above his shoulder, from thin air, expanded a ball of water that
became the size of a basketball before freezing over completely.
It remained up over his shoulders, orbiting him.
“It has been so long.” He whispered to himself, leaning back
into the seat as his eyes wandered the place with simple
admiration.

The woman contemplates the noticeable absence
of her date, wondering what had kept him behind so much so, that
he was missing the event he, himself, had invited her to. It
dawned on her that he might not be interested anymore, her heart
twisting at the thought. She dismisses it, however, shrugging it
off as she watches Adonis kiss her hand, her skin soft under the
quick peck.
The confidence that emitted from him wasn’t foreign to the tall,
slender woman; the man that had just been on her mind moments
ago emanated the same credence.
“Afroditi.”
Short, sweet, and upon hearing her name, he would realise why he
was so physically attracted to her, why no one else had caught
his eye. Simply put, she was the most beautiful woman on earth
and no other could take that from her. The goddess of beauty,
love, and youth.
Under the dim light, her high cheekbones are accentuated, her
usually bright blue eyes, now a mixture of golds and greens, a
gradient effect in her iris. She was about to decline his offer
when the masked man is a mere two feet from her, standing behind
Adonis for a moment, before moving to his side. He observed so
closely, one might assume they know each other though Adonis
hadn’t made it at all obvious that they did.
She takes a step closer to the masked man, invading his private
space, as he had done, with Adonis.
“And who’re you?”
The woman also interrupts him, just as he had done to her, a wry
smile on her full, plump lips.

(On my phone. Give me 30 minutes and I'll be on.)
A hand fell upon Adonis's shoulder as Aetus allowed himself to
manifest. 'Thank you, cousin, for keeping my date company while
I was busy. Although, I would gladly take a drink as well if you
are offering.'
His voice rang out, deep and rough; hard with ice as he stood as
tall as Afrodìti. A blue cape billowed behind him, his usual
dark clothing even darker. A black long-sleeved dress shirt
clung to his torso, the fabric soft and warm. His breeches were
soft leather as well; boots were a hardened leather too, with
turned down openings that were gilded with silver. The rest of
the boots swirled with the same silver inlay, much like chains.
A long knife hung at his hip with a plainly decorated sheath and
hilt. While he was an already huge figure, with almost too much
muscle to be considered lean, the attire was skintight and
plainly showed off his physique; the hard planes of muscle of
his stomach; the hard, bulging muscles of his arms and legs,
stretching the fabric of his attire.
His face was set in a hard scowl that was permanent just about,
as if his Visage was made stone. Ice blue eyes, as hard and cold
as glaciers, peered at his cousin then the woman. 'Forgive me,
but time has a way of getting away from me.'
Aetus Blackwood was godlike in stature, hard as any granite with
the disposition of an arctic winter. He was intimidating, his
presence commanding, dominating. And, being out of his element,
that is surrounded by people, he was more on edge. On guard. His
god hood aspects screaming at him to look and see, to know. To
influence, to push and pull. But he merely gritted his teeth and
stared at his date.

Razie smiled as the wine passed her lips again. She was really
starting to relax and have a good time. Even had herself a
dance. Her long red hair swayed as she dipped and swirled
through the growing crowd. Her dress flowing freely as she moved
the stars sticking to the skirt of it as she moved through. Her
pumps were around somewhere
But she wasn't sure where.
Just as she went to put her glass down she caught sight of
someone not from around these parts at all. "Excuse me. Pardon
me." She pushed around till she got to the man (Devils Prayer)
"well hello. How are you enjoying the ball,?"

When the masked man appeared behind him, Adonis' eyes narrowed.
When he asked his question, Adonis offered a polite smile.
"Adonis." He said once more. "God of love." His eyes were
settled on Afroditi as he spoke those words, hoping to
accentuate the similarity. But they turned back to the intruder
as he continued. "Blackwood of Tragedy..." He was prepared to
inquire as to the stranger's identity, when the woman who's
company he kept stepped in to do just that. He listened
intently, until he felt that familiar aura.
"So it was you after all..." He said to Aetus, as he appeared to
lay a claim on his date. "You really shouldn't leave such a
prize unattended." he said with a grin. "Someone may just be
temped to step and claim it." He winked at Afrodite, making it
known that his intention wasn't to objectify her. Though Adonis
and Aetus were around the same height, Aetus was much larger.
While muscular in build, Adonis carried more of an atheletic
shape, as opposed to one of a bodybuilder. "A weapon even at a
formal gathering." He said with a grin. Some things never
changed. Adonis was the youngest of his siblings and cousins.
That may have been the reason his attitude was always so lax.
"So is that three drinks? Or four?" He looked back and forward
between the three who now kept his company before wandering off,
and filling several cups. He came back and handed one to each in
his company. Despite the obviously awkward air, he seemed to
still behaving fun.
