The woman nods as she listens to him, understanding why they
hadn’t come across each other when he mentions where he works.
Sho had never been to PR or HR for the matter though considering
this hunk of man, she might just become a regular visitor. She
crosses the room, her heels making no noise against the carpeted
floor and pours herself a cup of coffee before leaning back on
the chair opposite him, crossing her legs and getting
comfortable.
Her looks were one thing that made her stand out from the other
women in the firm, but what was even more, noticeable was her
British accent; she was a typical Londoner.
“I’m Shokan though Sho would be easier,” she chuckles, taking a
sip of her drink, “the lawyer for the company.”
Just as she sets her phone on the table, it buzzes. She peeks at
the screen, reading the message and sighs, taking another sip of
the drink. A meeting - another long day, the woman hadn’t had
any sleep last night, it was a wonder she didn’t have bags under
her eyes. She notices the newspaper the man’s reading and
smiles. As a lawyer, she kept herself informed on events and
crises in the world they lived in - it was part of her
employment.
“What’re you catching up on then?”

"Ahhh... Well, That's probably why we've never met. I haven't
needed the legal department for awhile." He chuckled to himself
and folded his paper around to the page he was reading. People
where going to know sooner or later, so she might as well be the
first. "Keeping tabs on my brother." He tossed the paper across
the table to her and as it would spin, it would land half cocked
in front of her, the headline in the business section reading
'Moretti looking to acquire publishers in the area. Moves to Buy
Quick.' It wasn't the largest headline, but it was large enough
to be noticeable. "Apparently he didn't take the breakup well."
He sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Sometimes you break up
with the crazy ones and they never leave."
He didn't notice her accent at first. Having to deal with as
many people he had, in person or over the internet, certain ways
just blended together. But after her second question he had
picked up on hers. "Hmmm. Interesting. Are you London or are you
more northern?" He smirked and rolled his shoulders, bringing
his chair down on all four legs. He folded his arms and placed
them against the table, leaning in closer to her.
He felt his phone go off, but really ignored it. With a sigh he
shook his head. "I'm guessing that's a meeting. Maybe I'll play
hookie again..." Hookie was a good idea, he thought to himself.
