Wayward Dreams
By: UrdroxasReturn Date: November 19, 2015, 5:45 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
It was another warm what-would-be morning as Urdroxa's
consciousness came back together within his body, the veil of
darkness fades away as he opens his eyes. Fumi was being
clutched tightly to his chest protectively, as if he worried she
might be gone when he awoke. He still found himself trying to
brush off the thought that she might just pick up and leave, but
so many times had she reassured him she wasn't going anywhere,
he finally starts understanding this with a delirious smile.
Gently sliding his arm out from under her he sets her down,
slowly bending down to kiss her on her forehead and then slides
his legs over the end of the bed and rubs his face silently
yawning during the process of waking up. Smiling as he looks
back to Fumi's sleeping form he chuckles inaudibly before
getting up, only wearing silken pajama bottoms, and walks out of
the room. The candles still alight and as he walks down the
hallway, he then pauses and stops in front of one of the many
blank ones and smiles. "I think I finally know what to do with
you..." He then crosses his arms, resting his forehead in his
right hand he closes his eyes and concentrates on the image of
them peacefully asleep in each others arms in their lovers
embrace. Moving his right hand he presses his fingertips to the
blank portrait and color floods from his fingertips onto the
parchment and cover it in a perfect replication of the image he
had seen in his mind's eye. "Beautiful... I think she'll
appreciate that one as well." He says quietly as he continues
down the corridor.
Finally coming to the large lobby he looks out from the top of
the grand staircase and sighs gently. "Too bad the parties have
all died down, would be wonderful to have another masquerade
gathering... Oh the personalities that come alive then..." He
chuckles once more as his left hand rests on the railing as he
walks down the many stairs. Staring at the massive double doors
he chuckles. "Though it would normally be impossible to reach a
party on a floating island in a world with only water. You got
to admire power and what it can unlock..." He says to himself in
brief admiration for the many events and this made him smile,
but not in pure happiness, it was almost as if there was sadism
riddled all over his face. "And the screams from the dying..."
He says as his eyes slowly dart to the floor, almost as if
peering past the floor to something below. Shaking his head he
chuckles and then without saying a word his face returns from
subtle sadism to his normal half delirious smile as he stumbles
into the kitchen, throwing open the cabinets haphazardly and
starts cooking up a typical morning meal for him, an entire pig,
roughly 2 pounds of hashbrowns, 3 pounds of bacon, and a large
green/red colored steak, the interior being green and the
exterior red. This roughly takes him only an hour to fully
prepare using his ability to agitate the molecules fast enough
to speed cook things effectively.
Sliding the food onto the tables he yawns lightly before he
laughs a little loudly, just remembering that Fumi might also be
hungry, looking down to the serious banquet he made he then
shakes his head. "Ah, I think I'll just share, I don't feel like
making more... That is if she feels like eating organic
material... Hmm... Ah!" He says as he holds up his palms face up
and closes his eyes. A tiny slit opens up in the dead center of
both palms and from the tiny slit emerges two large crystalline
blood red roses that had large bright blue swirls all throughout
them. They irradiated pure light and very vividly, having been
made of his own essence they were supercharged with power and
raw latent energy he knew she'd get a jolt from. A pleasant one
he was sure. He then leans against the table and hopes that she
is waking up soon to smell the large amount of food he had made.
"Hope she is feeling peckish, I know I am..." He chuckles once
more as his stomach grumbles, his hands rushing to cover his
abdomen.

---------------------------------------------------------
The depths of her 'dreams' were always the same and slowly she'd
come to terms with that; sleeping had been something she'd
always attempted to veer from, but Urdroxa held it in such high
regard and so far his way of doing things had been much more
interesting and eventful than hers.
The dream started all the same; a black void seemingly made of
nothing, yet she felt solidity beneath her. A floor pitch black,
but she never felt any walls...just the surface beneath her feet
that betrayed no depth, no form, yet all she could do was walk
on it until she felt her mortal legs grow weary causing her to
finally stop and drop onto the strange ground beneath her. With
only silence greeting her ears, Fumi had always felt strangely
claustrophobic at this point in her dream; the quiet was what
was overwhelming, the ringing in her ears growing until her head
felt cramped, but then the soft sound of waves would greet her.
Though temporary, the relief was immediate as the strange cold
water gleamed with a reflection from which held no light source
and it pooled along her exposed knees. Slowly, the water would
gather and Fumi would find herself knee-deep, to waist-deep, to
neck-deep in a water that was neither warm, nor cold, for it
held no temperature whatsoever and this temperature lacking
liquid would consume her in one fatal gulp.
In the beginning Fumi had always panicked at this stage,
wondering how long it would take for her to suffocate, but that
simply wasn't the case any longer. Her familiarity with this
dream had allowed her to get deeper and deeper each time; there
was no need to worry about breath for she could easily breathe.
Motionless, breathing in liquid and breathing out bubbles, the
feeling had become almost serene...then the first hand appeared.
Similar to her own creations, the black-nailed appendage was
almost precise to her own besides it's gray flesh. The firm
fingers wrapped around her small ankle, followed by another
grasping her other thigh, the next few claiming her arms and her
waist until she was covered in a steel-like grip whose direction
was pulling her down and down... It was impossible to move in
their holds, she could barely so much as move her head an inch
and whenever she did, she saw nothingness. Eternal, never-ending
darkness until the first gleam would appear. A neon shade of
red, so vivid and bright it seemed to practically be burning and
its size would only grow the further she was pulled down. Closer
and closer, Fumi would meet it and horror only ever filled her
as she realized that she'd been pulled for hours and hours and
the bright light was only getting larger...and it was burning
her, the severity and intensity of this crimson sheen was
setting her ablaze. Fumi would cry out into nothing, water
meeting her pleas and the hands around her would grip with such
strength that she could feel her body being eviscerated, crushed
into plumes of smoke.
That was when she'd awake.
Always with a start, Fumi would wake up in the empty bed with
Urdroxa always being such an early-riser. Her chest rose and
fell rapidly and sweat gathered along the pale skin of her
forehead, Fumi's crimson gaze searching this way and that as if
to constantly reaffirm herself that she was safe. There was the
soft carpet, there were the sheets with his side still
warm...the red candles that ceaselessly burned; a voluntary
shiver broke through Fumi with the color of red being so
distinct and vivid with the still practically tangible threads
of her dreams hanging against her. Slowly, Fumi had always come
down from these slight episodes and she was thankful that
Urdroxa never had to deal with them.
Leaving his room with her hair freshly groomed, her attire
consisting of the black camisole she'd always worn in his
presence, Fumi's manicured black fingernails combed through the
silken, raven strands of her hair to tuck the stray bits away
from her groggy, crimson gaze until she stopped to notice yet
another new painting in her midst.
The image of the two sleeping was utterly surreal to her. Seeing
yourself through another's person's eyes and memories was both
flattering and embarrassing and Urdroxa had not only one, but
two of these styles of...memory paintings displayed for all to
see. On one hand, Fumi's cheeks wouldn't stop burning and on the
other, she somberly smiled while giving it one more look before
passing by; in the end, she always appreciated how nicely he
viewed her.
Walking through the empty halls she'd come to be familiar with,
making her way across the grand staircase, and passing through
the empty grand hall, Fumi also noted how strange it was to see
it so empty. The first time she'd come to Urdroxa's home this
room in particular had been oddly haunting, the abandoned
bottles and signs of partying yet no partiers...it was as if
only ghosts danced here now. Yet Fumi didn't like to ponder on
such thoughts, especially as she smelled the scents wafting from
the hallway that led into his kitchen; a smile lit across her
face with the amusement at his fondness for cooking. It was only
a shame that she didn't eat!
Entering the room as she heard the grumble of his stomach, Fumi
approached from behind him and sneakily wrapped her arms around
his torso from behind, burying her head against his warm back
while muffling her words into his skin, an amused smile still
against her lips throughout the entirety of the duration. "Good
morning, handsome. Your cooking always smells so nice, it almost
makes me want to eat."

It was thanks to the massive accumulation of power and energy
within him that his senses were so well tuned that he could feel
the oxygen molecules part as she moved through the halls, this
could be heard like a chorus of bell chimes, each sounding off
with a distinct ring. Were it not for his keen sense of smell he
would have spun around and ruined the surprise, but instead he
only smirks and gently place his hands over hers as she wraps
her arms around his abdomen. "Well good morning Fumi." He
chuckles but then pouts when he hears her words. "Aww, almost?"
He shrugs a little, leaning his head towards the table. On the
table in the dead center was a lovely vase holding the two
beautifully colored roses he had created for her. "I did make
something I knew you'd like, at least you'll have some form of
early morning energy. Might want to eat them slowly, I used my
own energy to make them this time, I want to see how you'll
react to the difference." He said smiling happily, his
fingertips gently grazing her arms.
For the first time in a very long time he finally felt at ease
with himself and with his surroundings. Still his mind was
flooded with horrific thoughts of mutilation and dissection but
more often were they drowned out by thoughts of children. If he
were to drift off once more into the darkness he wanted to have
left something behind to secure his name. He smiles absently as
he tries to imagine a smaller fluffier version of himself
stumbling around and getting into trouble. He simply chuckles
and shakes his head, dismissing the thoughts as he then comes
back to reality. Looking around he finds himself feeling
suddenly alone, even though Fumi was nearby he simply felt like
there could be much more life around this massive home.
He then smirks as at the base of the vase were several small
joints, each wafting with the same aromas from the night before.
His right hand deftly swipes one up, and places it into the
right corner of his mouth, without even lighting it himself it
sparks by itself and he begins to inhale. His eyes close and he
tilts his head back. The sweet and warm vapors filling his
throat and lungs. Holding it for a long duration he exhales out
of his nostrils, shivering slightly as he very slowly begins to
feel more, for some reason he could feel more when his mind was
altered, as if his body was naturally dead and needed constant
revival. He then smiles as he turns around and holds her tightly
close to him. "I say we start this morning off right. Would you
like to join me?" He says handing her an unlit joint before
lifting her up in his arms, squeezing gently as he nuzzles his
cheek with hers, a bright and happy smile over his face. "You're
beautiful in your sleep, you looked so peaceful and calm...
Sorry, I don't mean to sound weird at all." He says laughing
gently to himself.
He then nods once and sets her back down to the floor. "Sorry if
I tend to manhandle you a little, I forget myself sometimes and
I get excited easily." Looking down to the floor he chuckles and
smiles. "Ah yes, I think it's time to show you my greatest
creation, the Nexus. It's essentially an engine of pure power,
it holds the power and energy of countless worlds and has helped
me shape my own body in my pursuit of power. Instead I now use
it to maintain the natural order and to study the worlds within
my body. It's capable of just about anything with the correct
manipulator." He smiles happily, very proud of his creation.
"But that is for later today, let's just get warmed up and wake
up." He then sits down to his food and begins to devour it
ferociously. Making care not to make a mess, it seems as though
he hadn't eaten in a very long time. Having devoured it all in a
matter of a few minutes he even had devoured wholes bones with
very powerful chomps of his incredible jaws. Finishing his meal
he quickly drops the plates into the sink and returns back to
her. "Well hon, this castle is large and so is the island if
you'd like to explore. Pretty large garden out back, I'm sure by
now it's overgrown now, maybe even some new mutations in the
flora. I've even tinkered with genes and the genetic
evolutionary pathways." He chuckles a little, once more proud of
his many creations. "The world is ours to play with!" He
announces happily.

A small and guilty smile crossed her lips at his childish tone
in answer to her declaration of 'almost'. It wasn't that she
didn't want to eat his food, it's that she simply held no need
to. Fumi's body was mortal, but its inner workings certainly
weren't. Liquids, solids, anything consumed that wasn't
traditionally a part of her would simply wind up in a pile on
the floor if she were to dissipate at any given time and the
idea of chewing food...and having it end up in the floor after
made her skin crawl.
"Oh? Something for me?" With the pitch of her voice growing
higher in childish interest, she peered over the side of his
large back and looked upon the crystalline crimson petals that
shone with energetic light. To Fumi, the sight of this was as
tantalizing as any steak.
With the tingling of his passing fingertip's touch along her
arms, Fumi dropped her small limbs and made her way to his side
instead where she touched the tip of her fingers along the
crystal creations in admiration. Urdroxa's talents seemed
boundless, the creation of these many sculptures he'd come to
make her being just one of many; having almost no use for them
after consumption tended to leave her feeling a small bit
guilty.
With a small hop upwards, Fumi sat on the wide table with a
single rose in her hand, holding it to the light to catch the
twinkling glints before she opened her mouth. The usual shadows
in the depths of her mouth seemed impossibly dark, hinting
towards the insatiable void inside of her, and the light from
within the rose seemed to gradually disappear further and
further until all that was left was a dim and black rose
following a low gurgle in the pit of her abdomen. Acting as if
she'd just eaten a meal herself, her pink tongue dragged its way
across the plush flesh of her lips before disappearing back
between them and she gingerly placed the strangely empty rose
upon the table while Urdroxa offered her yet another good time.
At first, Fumi had reached out for it, but she felt strangely
against having it so early and felt she was enjoying herself
enough for the time being. "Hmn...thank you lovely, but I'll
pass for right now. I want to enjoy this morning with you the
way I am now."
Being lifted up made her laugh lightly and she found her arms
around his neck, affectionately nestling her cheek against his
to mirror the motion of affection while her cheeks radiated heat
with his words. "It doesn't sound weird, just
very...flattering." With her feet touching the floor once more,
her left hand moved to gently clasp his cheek and she brushed
her thumb tenderly across his cheekbone with a warm smile along
her lips. "You always bring me a certain...peace and calm. I'd
hope that'd show." Fumi could hardly stand the affectionate way
he looked at her and as she admired the expression for a moment
longer, she caught a glimmer of something else hidden deep
within the intricate pattern of his eyes. A strange sort
of...longing?
Usually Fumi would push such things out of her mind, but not
when they concerned Urdroxa specifically. There was a fine line
she tiptoed on a daily basis between possessiveness and
protectiveness, a line she was never too sure where to be, so
naturally anything that bothered him would end up bothering her
so long as she either noticed or knew about it. While Urdroxa
explained in vain the workings of his "Nexus", Fumi silently
brooded over what could possibly be bothering him so early.
It was only at his last sentence that she seemed to clock back
in, offering a small "hm?," of question when he had finished.
Looking down for a moment with a guilty expression at having
missed nearly all of his explanation, she offered a small and
uncertain agreement to him with a furrowed brow. It didn't take
long to make her crumble, as a matter of fact it didn't take
anything at all, Fumi just couldn't handle the idea of him not
being in peace to her visibly. "Urdroxa, something was on your
mind a little bit earlier, yes?"
She had walked back to his side and gently looped her arm around
his, clasping her fingers together while resting her head
against his bicep. "Pardon me for intruding on the matter, as I
know that there are many...hidden things that we don't know
about each other yet, but I'd like to know what's on your mind."
With a faint smile on her lips, she looked up to him sheepishly.
"We can talk on the way to this garden? I would like to see that
as well."

Urdroxa eyes were silently observing her as she beheld his tiny
creations, the small roses of iridescent color and light. She
tenderly held them before her lips and in response the vivid
colors died down and were sucked into the darkness within her,
this means of gaining sustenance encapsulated Urdroxa's poetic
and particularly morbid mind. He found in her a whole new kind
of elegance that could only be found and noticed when given
large amounts of time dedicated to study, she was worthy of his
research and respect as a work of art in constant motion. It
wasn't long before she had very lightly clasped his face and
they had begun staring into each other's eyes, his slightly pale
cheeks redden up a little, the closeness was still as warming as
ever. She suddenly saw through his empty smiles and it cut
through his inner tension like a knife and it showed just as
vividly on his face, the bright and happy-go-lucky guy becomes
that serious-faced stranger, she knew something was on his mind.
Maybe it was still too soon, but he felt he owed her at least
some sort of explanation.
"Well..." He spoke, yet as he did so all Fumi would hear was a
tone of pain he had never uttered before, it would feel
incredibly familiar to her, the sense of loneliness. He then
looks down and chuckles, wiping his face with his right arm, it
didn't seem that he was crying but his eyes seemed to have
reddened up a little as if he was about to. A fake smile now
broadly displayed on his face as he turned around abruptly, his
right hand now grasping hers and he began to lead them out into
the lobby, to the large double doors. His palms gently plant
onto the stone doors and he lowers his head a little, tilting it
to the side as he spoke back to her. His voice was a little off,
as if something was still eating at him. "To be honest it's a
long story... The Garden is behind the place, the way there will
be nice though." He said, his voice becoming a little lighter
and jovial the second half when he abruptly changes the subject.
Pushing open the doors slowly the night sky was bright and two
differently sized moons were high up in the sky, illuminating
the sky in an unnatural brightness at night that almost rivaled
daylight. Looking to the right he pointed to a rough path
through thick underbrush along the walls. The ruined pillars
decorated the area yet the damage seemed limited to them and
only them, as if nothing ever reached the walls themselves. As
Urdroxa walked down the path his voice rang out once more, to
the left of them was a very beautiful view of the ocean below
them as the mansion rested on a high hill in the center of the
floating island. The crystal clear blue waters seemed to be flat
and calm, not a single disturbance could break this perfectly
serene moment, except for Urdroxa's haunted tone. "I've told you
that I've captured worlds and remade them in the pursuit of
knowledge and for those random... Experiments... Well another
thing I've noticed, is the care of a family unit." He shrugs,
looking over to the left, smirking slightly as he notices how
calm the ocean is. "It's weird... I can create clones, modify
them, and set their base age as low as I want, but it won't make
him or her my son or daughter..." He sighs a little and they
take a turn around the first corner of the mansion.
"No matter what I myself do, I will never get to experience that
without someone else... Well, Fumi, I've thought long and hard
about it and..." He pauses once more, having done so already
plenty of times in his speech, yet this pause was longer, and it
seemed to carry more meaning. "Well... I can't see anyone else
more deserving of sharing that experience with than you... So I
guess... Well... What I'm asking you to consider is..." He grits
his teeth, fed up with his own stammering and timidity. He spins
around and sighs, nodding once and opening up his slightly
teared up eyes. "I want to have a family with you, and bring
into this world children. I don't want you to think I'm a single
track minded individual because I believe myself to have
transcended that mentality lifetimes ago. My urges are more
based on the pursuit of knowledge, but around you even those
basic barriers I've set up crumble down and I'm like putty..."
He says smirking helplessly as he turns back around, his hand
squeezing hers tightly as he walks forward silently, biting his
lower lip as they take about 20 minutes of walking through thick
brush and overgrown grasses and vines to pass the final corner.
What was there before them was the opening to a huge eden-like
grotto. At first it opened up into a huge opening with a small
waterfall fed by a stream that trickled down rocks from
seemingly nowhere. The water was a beautiful crystal blue, just
like the ocean below.
At first it was strange, for it was completely silent, but upon
entering through the large half red and half blue, bisected
through the middle, archway, the sounds of hundreds of birds
could be heard, along with the echoes of various noises from
wondrous beasts. Crouched and in a bow-like stance facing the
two was Pain, hissing feverishly at the sight of his master and
mistress. "Ah... I knew I smelled you Pain... Found your way
here have you?" With Urdroxa's words Pain hisses feverishly and
with a sudden lunging sprint he stands besides the two, his body
perpendicular with their own. "He seems to like you Fumi, maybe
he senses what I sensed in you before. The strength of your
soul. Be careful not to pet him around his joints, they leak an
energy that would be very disastrous to touch. But his crest his
completely fine if you'd like. He isn't used to touch, but he
won't turn you away." Pain simply nods and turns his body away
to let them pass. The grotto seemed to have 2 paths, each one to
either side of the small pond of crystal blue water. "Well Fumi,
welcome to my own little replication of the Garden of Eden. You
remember the Menagerie area I had blocked off right? Well once
upon a time each door lead to a mythical creature's area here.
Since my departure however the energy binding the doors
dissipated and I'm sure by now some species may have died off,
but whose to say others may have even evolved. I like to enforce
the natural order, but only to an extent, I won't let my
favorites die off forever." He chuckles as he opens his arms,
marveling at another of his many achievements. "Well, Fumi. What
do you think?" He asked her happily

The walk to the garden was melancholy, the rooms betraying their
final sense of emptiness and loneliness while Urdroxa directed
her to The Garden; every step seemed to be absentminded as
Urdroxa gathered both his thoughts and courage to finally talk
to her. Whatever he was withholding from her must have been
heavy on his shoulders, for even when he seemed as if he were
about to crack and talk...he'd just withdraw once again. To
Fumi, Urdroxa seemed like he embodied his home a little bit more
than she'd initially thought.
The grandeur of this land was still brilliant, but it was
devoid. The tell-tale signs of what used to be jovial
celebration and thrilling evenings were but a ghost of their
former selves; empty bottles, brilliant tapestry and flawlessly
formed stone slowly gathering dust where only one set of
footprints now resided...this place must have been lonely, even
for a timeless creature as Urdroxa. The sympathy she felt for
him was immense as she tried to picture what his solitary
struggle must feel like. Fumi, too, had been alone for an
infinite expanse of time, but at least she'd been asleep through
it all...as far as Fumi was aware of, her entire life to this
point had been filled with Urdroxa's presence almost constantly
and she just couldn't feel the same loneliness he must have.
All Fumi could do was offer him her hand to try and assure him
that she was there and that he could talk to her whenever he
wished, but he seemed determined to at least get them towards
the Garden first.
The opened door betrayed an ache of longing within Fumi as she
looked to the sky above. The twilight just above her fingertips,
the moons whose visages filled her with a primal hunger; every
since her encounter with Nova, Fumi had become more aware that
these foreign feelings and surges weren't hers, but whatever it
was inside of her. The creature that had created the void to
begin with...starlight danced on its tongue once, moons and life
collapsing in its stomach, nebulas staining its fingertips as
their paintbrush-like strokes of light became captured within
the nothingness of its form, an insatiable devourer that somehow
was both her, but not her. For just a brief moment, her dreams
visited her thoughts once more and made her shiver as she looked
away from the sky she longed for. Thankfully, Urdroxa seemed to
be ready to open up and it was a distraction she was thankful
for.
His words and reaccounted tales of the horrors he'd committed
were familiar to her, but they didn't hold the sense of severity
they probably should have, yet at the mention of family it
became obvious that this was becoming the painful part of the
explanation for him. The tonal shift and the way he kept
avoiding looking at her...did a family really weigh him down so
heavily? Fumi remained silent, giving him the time he needed to
vent and talk, it was the least she could do for the man she'd
come to slowly know, but quickly love.
Moving towards the edge of the pathway that hung precariously
above a dark blue ocean whose ends were probably as infinite as
her sleep, Fumi peered into the gently rolling surface of water
while occasionally tossing her crimson glances to Urdroxa with
her hand in his as he worked on stammering out his speech. Yet
on the sudden delivering of the line "I want to have a family
with you," Fumi immediately clammed up. Her already pale skin
seemed to practically glow as what little color faded out, a
mixture of both horror and surprise along her expression.
"F-Family? Me?" The suddenness of this topic threw her off
immensely, for Fumi had no clue what to think about children.
She'd never encountered them before, only experienced the images
she'd stolen from Urdroxa's memories when they'd first met. They
were like people...but...smaller? Except they came from the
woman's very own blood and being and that brought a strange
sense of...fright upon Fumi. "Urdroxa..." Fumi bit into her lip,
her turn to avoid his gaze as much as possible as a million
thoughts whirred through her head.
The first thoughts were of shameless enjoyment at him
considering her high enough for such an honor. Bearing the
family of someone like Urdroxa, the one person she cared enough
about in this world to the point of obsession and
protection...all she wanted to do was make him happy. Yet the
secondary thoughts were what made her so scared. Fumi's hand
gently rested over her stomach and she looked down, brows
furrowing as her thoughts rapidly fired one after another. What
about what she was? Would she end up birthing something like
her, or something like Urdroxa? If it was like her did that
mean...it would be a Void-filled monster like she was? What if
it was just only that? There was no way Fumi could allow herself
to concieve something as hungry and primal as the beast she'd
somehow sealed deep within herself...but then the final thought
crossed Fumi's mind. Could she even have children? Fumi's
fingers gripped to the thin material covering her abdomen and
she wondered how she could even start with answering Urdroxa's
pleas of a brilliant future.
Thankfully, they'd seemed to reach the gorgeous grotto that was
The Garden. Truly an Eden among this strangely desolate hunk of
rock, Fumi found it utterly...breathtaking, but like all things
this evening, Fumi was slowly starting to see deeper past the
surface of things she initially witnessed. The sounds were
beautiful, the water as bright and glittery as stardust, but
Fumi couldn't find the source of either of these things and it
betrayed the sudden artificial exterior of it all. His Garden
was beautiful, but it was...fake. The only thing painfully true
here was the stark contrast of Pain's form in this glorious
Eden; the beast bringing a smile to Fumi's still pale face.
Affectionately, but distantly, she gently patted the front and
shiny head of his terrifying creation as she chewed over how
she'd begin to approach this sensitive topic with Urdroxa.
Looking to his happy expression, Fumi felt such guilt that she
felt more apprehension about this than he seemed to. Urdroxa
just wanted happiness as much as she did and the idea that
something like a child could bring him that...it'd be cruel to
deprive him of such a thing, wouldn't it? "Urdroxa..." Leaving
her hand from Pain's head, Fumi sighed slightly as she chewed on
her bottom lip, pushing her lengthy bangs from her face with her
left hand while she furrowed her brow again. "I...do not think I
possess the same affection for a family as you, but that does
not mean I am against it. The human feelings of maternal
affection is lost on me, I think..." dropping her hand, the
strands of her hair falling like silk back in to their place as
she grasped again over her stomach-area. "But, I do not know if
that is because of me, or whatever is inside of me. Which leads
to another slight...problem." She looked to him, guilt still
painted on her expression. "I do not know if I can even bear a
child. Yes, I am mostly human like this, but you've seen what I
can do, what I can become, I can't even eat human food properly.
Anything that is placed inside of me will simply...fall out."
Cringing at the idea, a visible shiver went through her and left
behind goosebumps in their wake. "You are very great and all of
your powers are constantly beyond me, but can even you create
life in me and make it possible for me to vessel it?"

As he spoke he could feel her every sensations, the time spent
with her had attuned him specifically to her, as if his soul
itself had blended with every fiber of her being, having almost
a 6th sense to the way she felt, but still not quite able to
pinpoint it if it were not for the subject matter. He knew she
was hesitant, he could even see the thoughts racing through her
mind by reading her face. He sighed slightly but he was still
remaining firm to the thought of creating a prosperous family
with her. "Yes, small little people born of two sets of genes,
one from the father and one from the mother. Children, they
really do somehow bring something out within you deep down. It's
like the love you feel for me, the joys of it all." He smiled
happily as he explained briefly what a child was.
Despite her qualms and her fears he remained with a partial
smile, not willing to be defeated by this he wanted only to make
her feel as warm and happy as he was. Urdroxa slowly walked up
to her, his eyes focused on her own. As he got to her he gently
rests his right hand on Fumi's stomach very gingerly, his
fingertips gently prodding her as he rests his other arm wraps
around her and pulls her in closely, his head gently resting
upon hers. "You know better than anyone the loneliness and the
bitter bite it leaves. With children, it's as if we are no
longer alone, our lives gain a new meaning. It's just... The
world is more bearable when you have something to fight for." He
nuzzles his face into her hair, he chuckles softly. "I think
you'd be an amazing mother. You are fiercely loyal, protective
and you have so much love to give. I think once you hold him or
her for yourself it will click in you..." He then heard the part
about her not being a proper vessel but this only made him smile
more, her doubts were well placed, but with him, whole new
worlds could be torn open and explored at a moments notice.
"Sweetheart... You are standing in two realities being bent in
on each other. We are in a small grotto physically on another
planet, I've simply bent reality so that these two places in
time interact. Watch..." He points to one of the trees as a
strange rainbow hued phoenix-like firebird swoops through the
seemingly normal trees yet it doesn't catch fire. The bird seems
to come from nowhere and continues it's path through the other
side of the grotto, flying through the trees yet it doesn't come
out the other side, as if it had flown out of this world
altogether. "I have mastered the arts of warping and bending
reality and time itself. I can utilize the Nexus. It can make
the impossible happen with incredible techniques and I will be
there with you for every second." He suddenly began feeling the
sudden pang, as if there was another fear on Fumi's mind, this
took him pause.
Then it all came back to him, he himself was a monster, and from
her own words and haunting hints, she must feel the same about
herself. His voice had now gotten soft, tender and caring.
"Fumi. I myself was created for the sole purpose of endless
slaughter. I even found great joy in murder, even now." His
voice trailed off, the fingers gently caressing her stomach stop
and he rests his palm on her. "But now that rage and hatred is
filled with love and happiness. If a murder machine is capable
of reformation and self betterment, is it really impossible for
us to have beautifully wonderful children? Besides, you should
be proud of yourself. Nobody can hold you down, when you feel
threatened you poof into a cloud, when you feel angry, you can
bring about a type of artful destruction I can't even capture it
correctly in my mind's eye. Even if we do have little tyrants,
they are our tyrants. But... I am having a strong feeling we
won't have bad children. I feel it deep down, what we would
create would be something truly magic..." He said softly as he
held her tightly. Smiling brightly this whole time, his eyes
having closed for the duration.
He then looks down to Pain who seems to take the hint, and as he
slowly nods to Fumi he then skitters away and through that weird
void beyond the trees, loud hisses could be heard as he escapes
view. "Seems he has taken a liking to the wildlife... Let's go
sit down over here hon." He says as his hand that had rested on
her stomach now clasps her own hand, escorting her over to the
small pool of crystal water. Peering in he could see two large
and purple and blue Koi swimming around their small school of
new hatched fish. "I often come back here for reflection, to
remind myself of the beauty of the natural order. To remind
myself that all is not lost..." He then looks directly into
Fumi's eyes and his partially water. "And you remind me that
love is not dead, it's burning red hot and is alive and well."
He smiles happily as he uses his right arm to wipe his face.
"Fumi, we are destined for great things. Together we can do a
great many things. I don't want children if you don't want them,
but I do want you to consider the wonderful things they may
bring. A new hope, a brand new start. But... A happy one... With
an even happier ending..." His soft voice trails off as a single
tear falls from his cheek. That same helpless smile invades his
face, beaming bright.

Fumi held her tongue as he explained his reasoning to her;
something to fight for, she already had that. Him. Yet there was
much Fumi was aware she hadn't experienced yet in terms of the
sensations of...affections. Not too human, but not too
monstrous, Fumi danced tediously along a thread-thin layer of
these two worlds and because of such, she possessed traits of
either or. The inability to fully come with human emotions while
also having the inability to completely ignore them, they were
just things she had to learn to experience and keep her further
and further away from fully turning in to...whatever slept
inside of her. These feelings stayed stuck to her despite the
attempts of Urdroxa's condolences, whether or not he wished her
to feel them was no longer the case. This was just her slowly
growing existential crisis she was facing.
"It is not that I doubt your ability to create anything. You've
proven perfectly capable of creating and taking life as you
wish." Her stomach tickled lightly where his fingers brushed and
it helped eleviate some of the more severe thoughts and emotions
she was going through. "You aren't grasping it Urdroxa. My
composure, whatever I'm made up of, if I at any time were to try
and disperse as I do now, that child would fall out of me. It'd
die." Her words held a slight hollow tone while she avoided his
gaze, her lips pursed slightly as she thought of a better way
she could have worded it. Sitting where he'd directed her, Fumi
dipped her feet into the crystal clear water and watched as
their reflections warbled from the contact. For a brief moment,
she could of swore her eyes had glowed a brilliant crimson she'd
seen only in her dreams..."If I were to even attempt at somehow
bearing a child, that means that I will be defenseless in almost
every form of the word. I'm painfully mortal when I'm like this,
not that you can't protect me, but...it'd be unfortunate if
something hazardous presented itself." That wasn't the end of
Fumi's worries though. The growing prophetic dreams, the
realization that she was not just one in her body, but
two...their DNA, whatever made up the creature inside of her
also made up her, the two were one and that would mean that she,
and it, would be transferred over quite possibly...
"The thing...whatever it is. I'm not too sure, but it's in here,
it's in me." Absentmindedly rubbing her stomach once more, Fumi
let out a forlorn sigh as the exhaustion of explanation and lack
of understanding were slowly getting to her. Seeing Urdroxa's
hopeful face made her feel...guilty. "We wouldn't be having a
child made up of just you and me, it'd be it too. Something
about that...unsettles me." The last words stung on her lips and
she looked away, back into her distorted reflection. "I don't
know what it is, at least it doesn't seem harmful to me, but
part of me worries about what having two of these creatures out
there could be like. Whatever I am, whatever it is, we created
that Void ourselves. It didn't just simply...exist." Hissing out
a breath between her teeth, her shoulders hitched slightly while
her head hung a little lower, grumbling her words in
frustration. "Do you understand what I mean, Urdroxa? This is
all very confusing for me...I'm not like you." Remorse was in
her last words as she looked back up to him apologetically. "You
can change your form to whatever you wish, make yourself however
you deem it, but the fact of my existence is that I am two
beings in one. You can't separate us, you can't make me any
different than I am...something tells me that'd be disastrous.
And the more we talk about this subject, the more I'm growing
concerned for this feeling I have inside of me." Again, Fumi's
hand hovered over her abdomen and she sighed once again.
"There's a certain...glee inside of me. I can't tell if it is
me, or it, but the idea that this creature is thrilled to have
another of its kind out there is worrisome. If I'm as old as I
am now, what would happen when the child gets my age? Will it do
the same as it's predecessor? Would you let your child turn the
world it lived in into whatever...whatever I awoke from?"
Again, Fumi saw the flashes of familiar scenes she'd seen
before. They were broken and fragmented, like strange, out of
body memories that played on a broken film reel. The distance
between them grew as she closed her eyes, leaning her head back
while considering these thoughts and memories. "The way I
consume...it feels like nothing compared to these haunting
tastes I sometimes remember. Starlight on my tongue....the way
celestial bodies feel when they went down my throat...the warmth
that grew in my stomach, at least I think it was my stomach."
For a moment, she was hauntingly pleased at these thoughts. The
familiarity of them all... "Planets, realms, whatever they were,
I consumed them all. No meal I've had since before then has
tasted this divine." Opening her eyes slowly, crimson slits
looking into the false sky above, Fumi's lament seemed like it
wouldn't end. "If we conceive a child and it's like I was then,
could you say goodbye to this realm and possibly many more like
it without feeling bad? Would it upset you?"

He nodded as she explained to him the intricacies of her body,
yet this problem to him was still nothing. He thought long and
hard about this subject but still, the answer lied within the
Nexus. She seemed to be avoiding him as she spoke yet though the
words were morbid and blunt he would have it no other way. He
looked down to their reflections in the pool ripple as she
dipped her toes in. He only smiled happily when she spoke of her
being defenseless. "No hon, you won't be. You have me, Pain, and
even this world itself looks after it's inhabitants. Besides,
you remember those gems I used to halt my energy when I was
afraid of hurting you? Well they work on other beings too, each
one can be fashioned with a specific purpose, mine prevented the
accumulation of power and energy. I can easily create one not
only to do the same, but to calm everything down for you." He
then looked down to her stomach and felt a sudden surge of
interest in her inner workings. This creature, it must exist for
some purpose. "Maybe it helps her live... But why does it exist
parasitically... Unless..." His words began to spin into
ranting, then it all became incoherent babbling. Though some
words were clear, referencing some sort of secret project
nicknamed 'Duality'. He kept ranting about random numbers and
percentages.
He had now gently bit his lips as he began to listen very
intently on her explanation of herself and the creature within.
The swirling colors in his eyes began to brighten and the
constant spin grew faster, the golden pupil growing larger and
equally brighter. His sadistic, scientific mind suddenly became
flooded with curiosity, she was baffling him at every turn. The
inner scientist wanted her open this instant, flayed open to
yank this creature out and then have fun dissecting it as well.
His mind was slipping again, as if being pulled into a drain
with a single long tug. He heard her voice but it seemed to echo
as things grew black, yet in that same instance he saw her
horrified face when he had attacked her so long ago and this
instantly snapped him back to reality. She was just so damned
interesting he had to learn more, but his insatiable curiosity
was overridden by his love and dedication to her. He shook his
head gently before nodding. "This creature is something to be
respected. It only wants what every creature wants, it wants to
have progeny. As for the actions they may take, they will have
free will. Yes the creature might also live on, but it will be
merged with their beings as a whole. So it may in fact die off
with you, but it's traces will still be found."
He saw her pain and it was starting to tear him apart. In one
sudden instant he grabs her and pulls her tightly to him, gently
cupping the back of her head into his chest. "Fumi..." He was
simply awestruck, did she really think so disastrously about
herself and what they might make? If anything he should be
worried too, in the back of his mind he knew that there was the
possibility that all of their worst traits might come out in the
child and turn them into an uncontrollable monster, but Urdroxa
knew that deep down, the real monsters were the humans and not
the things that lurk in the darkness. "I have seen worlds die,
realities extinguished. For a life with you and our children,
I'd burn reality and time..." He sighed gently as he kisses her
head softly. "Don't be sad my love. It's not as bleak as you
might think, remember, we will have each other the whole time. I
just know that what we could make will be truly wonderful. Why
not humor me, for just this moment, peer once more into my mind.
Look into all my hopes and the dreams I've had about us, I've
even dreamt of little ones... Honestly, they've made me cry a
little..." He chuckles weakly, a tear once more streaming down
his face, yet he hid this with constant kisses to Fumi's head.
"Don't be afraid of what you are, for that's what makes you an
individual and I love every part about you even the monster you
claim that resides inside you. In fact I think I'd like to come
to know it, better understand your situation. But that's for
another day. Right now, it's just us and this night will be
whatever we make of it."
Urdroxa gently presses his forehead to hers, and in that brief
moment he shares telekinetically all of his hopes and dreams,
having dreamt of many moments of sheer happiness. One he kept
most fondly was a dream where Fumi had stood out on the balcony,
Urdroxa holding her from behind, his hands gently resting on her
enlarged stomach. The hopeful gazes and the purity of the moment
seemed to resonate powerfully within him. Urdroxa pulls his head
back away and smiles looking into her eyes. "Fumi, I have bonded
with you on an extraordinary level, I think I understand what
you mean now. It's truly an interesting story, that creature,
and the way you eat. It makes a lot of sense now." He nods once
and holds her hands within his tightly, his thumbs gently
caressing the back of her hands. "Well. Let's change the dreary
mood." He leans in and presses his lips to hers tightly. Pulling
back he smiles for her once more.

How was he so...excited by all of this? Fumi's brow quirked
slightly as she looked to him with confusion; Urdroxa had proven
his weird tastes and idiosyncrasies, but she'd never really
imagined that he would be so okay with what she had to vent out
to him. She just couldn't...understand.
Fumi's legs halted their disturbance of the crystalline waters,
her gaze absentmindedly admiring the gleam of the celestial
light above glinting off the smooth polish of her nails; black
as the void, dark and seemingly endless. "As I said...I know I'm
never technically in danger. You've proven that you're quite
monstrous in terms of power and I fear the being that crosses
Pain." Bringing her feet gently from the water, watching the
droplets fall away from her flesh as she slowly dissipated the
limbs into wispy smoke, reforming the limbs to leave them dry.
"As for how it is what it is, I'm not too sure. I suspect it has
something to do before my memories of the Void, ironically
they're as empty..." Sighing briefly, Fumi filed those thoughts
away figuring she already had plenty problems to deal with at
this immediate memory more-so than her distant and probably
worthless past. "Regardless. I just don't want to birth...well,
a monster. We certainly are not...NOT monsters, but we hold
something special. Love, sadness, joy...all those emotions, I
don't want to create something incapable of it." She'd just been
preparing to tuck her legs against her chest before Urdroxa
pulled her into his comforting embrace, leaving her stiff for a
moment as she felt flooded with emotion. He could still hug her,
even after the way she was just stomping on his hopes and dreams
with her insecurities and worry?...
Gently, her stiffened shoulders relaxed and her legs folded down
instead while she nestled into his reassuring embrace, slowly
and gently wrapping her arms around his back while she closed
her eyes that had slowly started to heat and sting in the
corners. The way he spoke of her, of them, of their future...the
total confidence and belief he had that they could have
something great, even if she wasn't deserving of something that
completely surpassed what she felt she deserved...it made her
chest feel like it was swelling deep inside. The intensity of
this desire, of his ideals and beliefs for a future where she
could even be a fitting mother, it was so pure and bright that
it was convincing her that it could work. Fumi, a mother? It
wasn't the strangest thing she'd been presented with.
When he pulled away and pressed his forehead to her, gracing her
hectic thoughts with those of pure and relaxing imagery, Fumi
felt that sting in the corner of her eyes intensify until the
trickling heat poured. How could he see her in such a light like
this? After all, all she could do was devour such brilliant
light...yet here she was in his mind's eye, gleaming and
beautiful while looking happy, even...proud with her bulging
midsection that held their child. Could they really have that? A
happy family? Fumi brought her arm up, taking her turn to rub at
her eyes and disperse away the salty tears as that brilliant
image stayed in her mind for just a few moments longer before
she guiltily stole the false image he'd created, saving it for
herself to think on later...
Fumi had been so wrapped up in this new change of mind that
she'd almost failed to notice he was kissing her in attempts to
undoubtedly comfort and reconcile her. When he'd pulled away,
she touched at her lips that were still warm from his and
looking slightly distant and withdrawn for just a few moments
longer, Fumi began to reconsider. Between her, Urdroxa, and
whatever concoction of being he could create...whatever their
child could be, it could be contained too. At the most, Urdroxa
could possibly create an entire reality for their child to stay
until it finished feasting just as she had, then...they could be
just as he pictured, right?
"Urdroxa...I'm reconsidering some things." Clearing her throat
slightly that still ached from when she'd shed her first tear,
Fumi tucked her hair behind her right ear as she struggled to
form her words. "I'm not against...trying. I still have my
doubts and concerns, but you are sure that whatever happens, we
can take care of it..yes?" Looking up to him, hope on the
subject appeared on Fumi's face for once during the entire
discussion. "If it's a monster like me, we can take it somewhere
safe right? And if it's not...if it's normal, you can make it to
where I can somehow bear it without bringing harm to it?" These
were all things she'd known the answer to, but reassurance was
always nice, especially with the idea growing on her more and
more. Over and over, the image kept popping in her head, them on
the balcony and the fondness for whatever was laying in her big,
round stomach; a life they'd created, something that could call
even a monster like herself...Mother.
