The Experiment

Part One
Ever since the beginning of time there has been fighting and
suffering in the world. All of it dictated by some sort of
politics; someone somewhere always wanted more and at the
expense of the people they claim they were trying to help. Every
passing century it seemed a new war was raging some place, and
although it wasn't seen in this way, both sides always lost.
They lost soldiers, torn apart families, hurt the innocent and
destroyed the land we all have to survive on.
Blood soaked deep into the ground were the soldiers had fallen,
tainting the very soil of what will one day grow more of our
food or house more of our child's children. The things not one
of the men sitting behind their luxurious desks in their
expensive houses think about. Their minds too far lost in the
profit they can make taking over the new land and all their
resources. The fighting never ends.
Many centuries later, the world has started to modernize and
wars became more of a civil matter. The fighting was now between
the people and laws. Unfortunately between civil matters there
was still outside colonies who were planning allies to keep
fighting for more, even as their people fought. How confusing
politics really was, ignoring some problems for others, using
war against another colony to put civil matters on halt and
regain the trust of the people.
The world was a rapidly changing place and with that the need to
stay ahead of the other colonies was top priority. Therefore a
group of men and women gathered around a large table to discuss
a plan of action. There was yelling and arguing but it resulted
in only one thing; the perfect weapon.
The government extended their reach and pull and captured,
kidnapped and transferred hundreds of people to a research
facility hidden in a military base. Here the government covered
up the missing persons reports and created false records for all
the people and prisoners. Scientists worked hard and constantly
around the clock people paid for their studies. Until finally
they got one right.
A man in a white coat rushed through tall wooden doors, "Sir! We
have amazing news! It worked! It finally worked!" The head of
military affairs and the president's department of defense was
alerted and sent straight down to the facility. They stood
behind a glass window that allowed them to look into a room.
"She survived?" They asked the scientist. "Yes, she should have
no memories of her past life, no memories here, and she should
be ready for you to train."
"The perfect weapon, the first of it's kind will be a young girl
I am not all that impressed but she will surely be someone our
enemies won't expect."
"Yes for who could kill a child?"
"What will she be like when she wakes up?"
"Well, she won't know how to speak, or probably even function
she will need to be taught everything. In that though she should
have no humanly emotions that will effect how she sees things.
We, you see, destroyed that part of her brain."
"Perfect. Wake her up. I want to see your success."
The scientist nodded and entered the girls room, he told his
fellow scientists that they are ordered to wake her up so they
began to unhook her from her wires. The ones that kept her
asleep, and the ones that kept her...sane. The second everything
stopped rushing through her body the girl opened her eyes, they
had become a pinkish-red.
"She's no good. Her eyes give it away. She is imperfect."
"But sir, we could probably have the scientists fix that."
"OR there are contacts that can change eye color."
"Contacts fall out. Fixing it could cause it to revert back,
scrap her."
The men nodded and one entered the room and told the scientists
of the orders and they nodded. The one had an already prepared
euthanasia serum ready and picked it up from the tray. The girl
seen the needle, her eyes widened and be came frantic. Even her
heart rate picked up substantially. She moved her hands over her
face, her hands were so heavy, her fingernails were iron and
sharp iron at that. Suddenly a need rushed into her neck and she
uttered an odd noise and once more faded out.
"Experiment 363, failure."
