Travelers Three

The horse knickered softly in the still winter air, as it's
armored rider spurred it forward through the trees. His red cape
was in stark contrast to the silver of his armor, and the wHite
of the snow on the ground. As the horse picked up its pace to
the insistence of its rider, the man cast his eyes towards the
sky, and frowned, it would be dark soon, and his destination was
still miles away from where he was now. Still the man road
onward into the depths of the woods, as the light began to fade.
It was not until well after nightfall did he stop, and set about
making a campsite. A small tent had been erected, and filled
with fur blankets, for bedding. Dropping an armful of sticks and
small branches into a pile, he croucged, and held his armored
hand out. "Antennes." His palm flared red, and flames burst
forwadd, engulfing the wood, before he clenched his hand, and
settled nextra to the now burning wood.

Eve had smelled the burning wood from her small home deeper in
the forest. Eve lived in a small abandoned cabin, some of the
roof was caved in or burnt so she would assume. "A fire? Has a
traveler come to these woods?Or something worse? Maybe I should
investigate." Eve threw on a white cloak and made her way closer
to the man in the woods. The snow and fading light from the
falling sun helped camouflage her. The smell of fire kept
getting stronger, soon she could slightly make out a red cape
and the figure it was attached too. "Hmm."

Sitting up swiftly, her ears started to twitch around. Unable to
sleep, she could feel her forest stir will unfamiliar life. Her
dark eyes shifted around, trying to sense different patterns in
heat and odors but fully stood up when she felt the thundering
rumble on her blanketed Earth...a destrier. Her heart started
racing, for she could smell the disturbing scent of war, hoping
they weren't coming for her animals. She scrambled up a large
oak tree and watched from above and then she saw it trail past,
she watched it intently all the while a figure covered in white
seemed to hover along the trails. "What is going on.." Her
voiced whispered, her breath unable to be seen in the freezing
weather, she hopped down quietly. Her eyes widened when she
could smell something that made her sick to her stomach..burning
wood..She completely materialized her dark black eyes fading to
a light grey and her hair a smokey match. She walked slowly
through her forest, the small of the wood weakening her as the
smell started to overtake the environment around her. Through
the smoke she blended in through it. through her peripheral
vision, she watched the white cloaked intruder walking alongside
her, hundreds of feet away through the shrouds of smoking
completely engulfing her presence. Making sure to follow it's
last movements in hoping it was going after the same thing that
she was.

The man shifted in his armor, he should remove it, but it was
helping keep the heat of his body trapped close. He had spent so
long in the southern lands that even a light snowfall such as
this was beginning to chill him to the bone. "You are being
watched, Talon." removing the helmet Talon looked around seeing
no one, but shrugged to the voice that permeated his mind.
"Indeed, one do-" "Two. One down the trail... the other...
nearby." Rolling his etes, the man stood and walked to where he
had left his saddle, and searched the bags, withdrawing a small
bread loaf and a hunk of cheese. "Well, there is no point in
stressing about what I can not control."
As he returned to his seat, the man paused, and unbundled his
sword belt. Laying the sheathed weapon across his lap as he sat
he tore a piece of bread and cheese off before eating it. His
icy blur eyes searched the darkness of the trees, before he
flicked another stick onto the small fire. As sparks lifted into
the air, a blue light pulled away from the man. Twitching, he
gasped, abd gulped for air until the light separated completely.
"By the gods, Caltheire, warning next time." The light formed
into a ghostly spectre of a knight in full plate armor, in place
of a cape though, a pair of ghostly wings were folded against
his back. "You are being watcged, you have no men, and yet you
eat?" The man shrugged, and shifted, with a nod, he stared at
the angel's ghost, and placed another piece of bread in his
mouth, and smiled from beneath his beard. The spectre shook it's
head, and launched straight into the sky

Eve watched the man as she drew closer to him, she could smell
the cheese, which happen to be one of her favorite treats. She
began to lick her lips. "I wonder if he would share such a
find?" Eve couldn't help but think to herself. She decided to
just go up to the man, "You are going to put out that fire
right? It is affecting the forest dwellers. Not to mention
drawing in predators." She got closer to him but kept a nice
distance. Circling around the fire keeping her face hidden under
the hood of her white cloak. The snow was cold but it didn't
phase Eve, although something else did she could smell another
drawing close to them. She went on guard.
