Annika's fur stood on end and she whimpered at the sound, her
back arching as she clenched her teeth and tried to press her
paw over one of her ears. Before she knew it, rubble surrounded
her and she was pressed under a slab of bricks that was being
held up from crushing her only by the remains of a snapped
street lamp. Bits of dust fell onto her fur and she knew she had
only seconds to get out before it would fall. With a scramble of
paws, she dug her way out through a small gap, catching her leg
on a support beam that tore a chunk from her thigh. She ignored
it though as she pulled herself from the rubble, only having a
moment before Kota reached her and she heard a voice that came
not from him, but the stranger. Turning her gaze up to him, she
growled lowly though stayed at Kota's side. She didn't rush into
things she didn't understand and at this point, she had no idea
how strong this opponent was, nor how he would react to her if
she did try to attack. For all she knew, he was a thousand times
more powerful than her and it would be foolish to even attempt
to help Kota battle without knowing what she was going into
while he did.
Hearing his instruction, she nodded and prepared herself for the
jump, starting to feel the sting in her leg though shaking it
off. She would deal with it later when they were out of trouble
and she'd had worse before anyway. Looking up to him as he gave
his promise, she thought on it for a moment and then nodded.
"Meet me back where we met, I will wait for you." She nudged her
snout against his hand lightly and then turned her focus back to
the ring, waiting for it.Then, when it came to the jump, she
forced her hind legs to throw her forwards through the ring,
ignoring the searing pain from the gash as it tore further,
before taking off as fast as she could. She knew that if she
could help, she would. But at this point, she was certain she
would only be a hinderance. He had told her to run, she would
run. And she had told him she would wait, so she would wait. She
would wait for as long as it took. She had an entire lifetime
and longer, she wouldn't mind if she had to sit at wait until
her next life began, she wasn't going to leave him behind.

Kota Nodded just as she made her way with an almost perfect
precision through the ring. He was impressed and it even left a
perfect grin on his face. She was such a fighter, a beautiful
wonderful survivalist, and despite how he normally believed, he
did believe that she would be where she said she would be. Still
Kota had to pay a lot more attention to Sunder for the time, and
let himself lose focus on her for a short time. "Oh the puppy
left us, thats ok though..." Sunder giggled maniacally as he
watched Kota and prepared his scythe again. "You best stop
worrying over her..." Kota stated as he stepped forward and let
the Aura fall over his dagger once more. "I plan to kill you
this time after all..." Kota then charged and before long the
usual flash happened before the first swing met contact with
Sunder's scythe shaft. Then again, and Sunder continued to have
this sickening grin that cursed his face and he chuckled
wickedly almost each and every time that their weapons clashed.
" come come come Little Kota, if you don't kill me then I will
kill her!" He had a sick way of taunting Kota into rage, and
still that sick humor was only matched int he perfect way he
moved the scythe about. The weapons continued to clash but
despite that neither of them could get a chance at the other;
even the silent then loud sonic slashes that came at him at
times.
Both of them were wearing down, though Kota showed it more in
his rushed worried breath; he had much more to lose here, much
more than what this man would ever have. and he was sure but
both of them could hear the sirens of the cops only streets
away, Sunder would not care; he would see a chance to kill and
he would take it, and the place would become a war zone
instantly. Another clash and he could see the incoming light, he
knew all too well he was running out of time, the blood from
before and the lack of focus he had, leaving him at a horrible
disposition. "Damnit!" he growled and began a flurry of slashes
directing each one with a new fury, only to slightly back Sunder
up, and buy enough time for the Cars to begin to pull up....
then however just as Sunder turned and crossed a powerful kick
to Kota's face, sending him into the next wall he raised the
scythe and mocked. "Oh Kota you really hate this part hahaha" It
was about to be a massacre, again just like always; all because
of these two fighting. "Sunder...." A much more calm and
collective voice was heard; however Kota recognized it, and
cursed his luck. Sunder averted his gaze however and sitting
atop the street lamp was the other one... Kota never was able to
catch what this one looked like but he always seemed to have
some collar over Sunder. "are you really going to have me stop
now! Sunder hissed and turned to the man... "Fine...." Sunder
growled turned once and winked at Kota as the cops moved into
position. Sunder and the other man then disappeared as if they
had never been there at all.
One problem was done now, Kota was relieved of at least that.
However the way the cops formed up, that would prove to be
taxing, and he was in no position to fight his way out of here
now. Still Kota pressed to get to his feet and the cops
commanded he stop and place his hands above his head. "I have a
promise..." he stated, through disgruntled breathing, blood fell
from his arms, and some off his side as well. The cops raised
there guns, of course they would; why not after noticing
everything that had happened this day, Kota knew he would go to
where Annika was, he would meet her as he promised her but he
had to leave after that, had to get somewhere desolate,
somewhere that Sunder had no advantage. So despite the pain he
raised his arms then flicked his hands just as they got close to
being above his head, White Sand instantly shot up under the
Cops cars and flipped them like tables so that they now were
flipped on their sides in front of the Cops. A small clunk was
heard and Kota bounded over the car and took off down the
street, before the cops could even get themselves sorted. Taking
a moment to catch his breath he then scrambled up another
building, to see in the distance the first place he had met her,
near that litle hot dog stand; of course it wouldn't be there
any more , but she would; he had to believe that she would.. he
had to...
Those thoughts were what guided him as he lunged over the
buildings then took to the sky. This time he kicked off of the
air at incredible light speeds. the sound caught up with him in
a loud boom just as he was already a few blocks further, and he
could see that bench where they had first sat. How he had found
the place, was beyond him actually but he had; and in the
desperation of his struggles, of his mind, it must have just
been the rushed luck of the situation. But what he saw as he
hovered just shy of the place, brought a smile to his face he
could see the white , thin blonde hair of the woman.. She was
there, just as she had said she would be, and his heart did a
jump; almost akin to the excitement of a child on christmas
day.. She could never understand ever how much it meant to him
that she had truly waited for him, believed in him to come.
However the thoughts of what came next made him sick... he knew
what had to happen. Still with a few more hovering spots Kota
landed and he took a breath, placing his hand on the wound at
his side. "You are here." He said happily before falling silent.
drowned in his own thought, he wanted to hug her, hold her hand,
something, he moved to her without speaking any more he moved
and wrapped both of his arms around her, and with a slight tug
pulled her closer, and just held like that.. just like that.

Annika ran as fast as her long, slender legs would take her. Her
hind leg left a trail of blood along the street as it dripped
with every step but she paid no attention to it. All she could
focus on was getting to the bench. She had to keep her mind on
that so that it wouldn't stray to... worse thoughts. Like what
if Kota got badly hurt? What if this stranger was too strong?
What if he...? No, the bench. She had to get to the bench. He
would find her, he promised, right? He'd be alright, he had to
be. After what seemed like a life time but was really only a
minute or so, she reached the bench and slowed to a stop,
circling it first before letting herself fall and lie down. Out
of breath and with the pain in her leg slowly returning to her,
she waited. She had no idea how long she would have to wait, but
she knew she would wait for as long as it took. Hearing the
sirens in the distance, she listened and could hear that they
were heading towards Kota. Maybe that would be what he needed? A
distraction or something to interrupt the fight? If that was the
case, then maybe he would be here soon?
Pushing herself to her feet, she glanced around before shifting
back to her human form, stumbling a little as she put her weight
on her injured leg though landing on the bench. Refusing to look
at the gash now that there was no fur in the way to hide it, she
turned her attention to the smaller grazes and cuts that lined
her arms and cheeks from when she had crawled out from
underneath the rubble. She wasn't hurt too badly, a few bruises
here and there, a cut across the bride of her nose and a few
scrapes on her cheeks and elbows but nothing major like her leg.
She leant back against the bench and closed her eyes, waiting.
And then she heard it, the footsteps as he landed. Her eyes shot
open and she looked over to him, a smile spreading across her
face at the mere sight of him being alive. "Kota!" For a moment,
she forgot about her leg as she stood up, though was soon
reminded of it as she winced, despite her attempt to hide it. It
all seemed to go away though as he wrapped his arms around her
and pulled her close, her own arms curling around his neck as
she hugged him gently. "I told you I would be, I told you I'd
wait." She leant back a little and looked over him, frowning as
she saw the blood. "You're hurt..."

The warmth passed between them as they held one another and he
listened to her whisper her justifications. She had told him she
would be here, she had promised she would wait forever, and
here; here she stood holding him, just as she said she would.
Now most would not be so surprised by someone actually keeping
their words, but the fact was that Kota had lived a world of
lies, his entire life. at the youngest of ages he had been
forced to leave home and travel, a hunt for his father, a hunt
to bring her back home to his mother and let them all live in a
healthy way, like a true family; that was all he had wanted when
he was younger, just to see his daddy, to play ball, or train
and get strong with his father like all of the other kids talked
about. His mother had told him she would be ok, she promised she
would be fine and then when he returned, she was gone.. gone
from the world as nothing but a husk of the life filled body
that had comforted him with nightmares, and kissed his forehead
when he had a fever or held him the very way he held her now...
She wouldn't have meant to break her promise of course not, and
he realized that but the fact was; she was gone and not coming
back.. she had left him alone, and in a world of broken
promises. None of it mattered though as he felt each curve press
against his body, her slender feminine arms entangled around his
neck, and his deep violet blue eyes met the ocean with a hue
that could only be matched by the starry night sky. He felt the
warmth, the very comfort that continued to flow rom her into
him, and even as she commented about he bloody gashes along his
body, he didn't care.. he didn't think.. he only reacted with
what came directly upon him in that time, blood running down his
body and legs and still he closed the only gap between them and
met his lips to hers, just the same was as she had done to him
before, this time deep. His lips met and folded neatly against
hers, and just the slightest hint of pressure added as his eyes
closed for the moment and the darkness of surprise held his mind
as after a few moments of holding that passionate position he
slipped his lips from hers, and breathed gently against her lips
to open his eyes and meet hers again... by this time.. his
wounds, had already disappeared, as if they had never been there
to begin with, only the inner pain remained and soon that would
depart as well.

Annika's concern for him lingered as her arms tightened around
him a little. She had been so worried, that now she had him in
her arms, she found that she didn't want to let him go. She knew
that from now on, if ever there was danger again, she would stay
by his side and fight, even if he did tell her to run. Waiting
for him had been like hell, she'd been full of worry and had no
idea what was going on. Looking up at him as she spoke about his
injuries, the last thing she expected was for him to kiss her.
Her eyes widened a little in surprise and her hands gripped his
clothes as they rested on his shoulders. Closing her eyes, she
returned his kiss until she felt his lips leave her own, feeling
the warmth of his breath as he still lingered near. She opened
her eyes again to look up at him, her mind a-buzz with various
things though one impulse in particular.
Her hands moved to the back of his head and his neck, gently but
firmly pulling him back to her as she pressed her lips against
his in a kiss that was a little more passionate. After what felt
like a lifetime though it was only a few seconds, she parted her
lips from his and looked up at him, her cheeks now a light pink.
"W-we should get going..." she spoke in a voice that was little
more than a whisper. "It'll be safer inside my apartment and we
can get cleaned up." Her hand reached for his, meaning to hold
onto him for support while she walked, though as she looked at
him, she realised the blood had stopped flowing. Frowning a
little in puzzlement, she lifted his shirt to look at the wound
on his side, only to find it was gone. "But... you were..." she
shook her head and huffed lightly. "Blimey..."

The few seconds that lingered between each transaction only left
him enough time to breathe, before the second kiss claimed his
heart and soul in the grip of a giant. His eyes shut quickly
again and now he pressed back against her lips with the true
passion of a man falling for his first time. It wasn't anything
he had ever understood, nor had he ever felt this before. Still
he loved the feeling, the press of her body to his and the way
her hand seemed to trace just behind his neck keeping him close
with no room or desire to breathe if it meant leaving that
comfort. Still reluctantly the lips parted one another with the
subtle heaving breath that passed between them. He looked to her
with a slightly bewildered expression, a silly smile played at
his lips and he merely nodded, and even chuckled as she noticed
that his wounds were gone. "Never had that expression before.."
he stated , though his hand had not left hers nor had much
difference between them. Though as he looked directly at her, he
knew that he didn't want to leave her, he truly didn't want to..
" thank you for waiting.." He knew she wouldn't want to be
thanked for such things but it was the mannerisms he had been
taught , to be thankful for everything he had. " Annika.." he
started and then smiled desperately to her. he wanted to just
shut his mouth, to just stop the thoughts and hold her again,
kiss her and just allow that to say everything, but alas it
could not all be said in such a perfect way as that. " I have to
leave here.. I have to..you seen for yourself the shadow that
looms in my wake.." He stated, though he still tried to sound
cheerful, almost indifferent, it was just the strong build he
had forced to cover his emotions in times where they actually
meant something. "I can't stay like I said I would, because they
will find us, and things might not go as smoothly." he tried to
explain it as best he could, though most of the explanation was
for himself, an excuse to keep convincing himself before he fell
to submission in those deep blue eyes.. self initiated
submission to this beautiful girl.

Annika could almost hear her heart pounding in her ears as it
stammered with every beat. This was so sudden, yet it seemed...
right. This morning she had woken up to a normal day, the sun
had been shining, the cars had been beeping and everything was
as it usually was. But now... Now, there was Kota. Did there
really need to be any more explanation than that? Her hand
tightened on his as he thanked her, her lips parting as she
prepared to tell him he didn't need to thank her though finding
herself interrupted as he spoke her name. As he explained, she
shook her head, looking up at him desperately as she held onto
him tighter. "No... you can't go, you can hide, just until
morning at least, my place is safe!" She threw her arms around
him and hugged him tightly, her head pressed against his chest
as she ignored the pain in her leg as it pressed against his.
"You can't go now..." her voice was a whisper again as she
spoke, not wanting to lose him so soon. It surprised her that
she had grown feelings for him so quickly, but she wasn't about
to ignore them and risk being left behind while he disappeared,
leaving her to not know if he was okay. Again. She lifted her
head and looked up at him, her eyes wide as an idea came to
mind. "Take me with you..."

He knew they had gotten close, they had already shared a good
three kisses, all of which grew more and more passionate with
each time they met. He knew what he wanted but he also knew what
was best, despite the way he just wanted to hold her , and agree
with what she said. She pleaded with him, as though she might
never see him again; and the scary part was that might be
reality of the situation... He had only truly fought against
Sunder, the other one had however... No! he could not think of
that power the other had released... everything was dead within
seconds... just one as if it had never existed to begin with...
it was a terrifying power and what was worse, was the man did
not care at all.. he just walked away as if it were second
nature to destroy in such a way. Still as he faced those deep
blue eyes , as he truly found himself immersed in the depth of
her hearts desires, drown by his own.. he knew what he would
have to say... " I hav.." he was cut off... her words had
changed now, as if she had submitted to something deep within
her and now she pleaded him to take her? His eyes lit up for a
moment as he found himself speechless. Surely she understood
just how dangerous his life was, the path he travelled,
vengeance and murder would become common in her every single day
of life, she knew all of this because he had made it very
apparent in the beginning, if not when sunder and the other one
showed up. She had to know it... and yet... She still wanted
that? " You are sure?" he asked calmly titling his head slightly
in question to the proposal.. Had they truly gotten so close,
she was willing to die with him, to embark into the true
tartarus of the mind, of the living world... hell on earth and
the devils servants the common household guest. " You are truly
sure you want to come with me? knowing everything, knowing what
I am forced to do? and how I live?" he was beside himself with
confusion, his heart beat a thousand beats a second, and he
could feel the drum in his chest as he looked upon her and
longed to stop the subtle silence that displaced them.. to hold
her, to kiss her and just stop it, before he agreed, before he
allowed her to walk through hell with him.. The saying came to
mind as he stood there
"As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall
fear no evil...Lest I walk alone I shall know that you are
always beside me, for thine is the power, the comforting walls
that surround me and protect me from mine own inner darkness.
you shall forever be my cornerstone, and beacon in the infinite
abyss."
He knew it was not quite the same as the humans religious view,
that bible they seemed to harbor over. He had heard it else
where, an old man with Long black hair, chains hung off to him
with millions and millions of crosses, and he had deep silver
eyes... He seemed very wise, and that particular saying had
always stuck with him as if it were something to cling on to..
The man had only said it aloud, loud enough for Kota to hear as
they were the only ones around, and soon as he had said it, he
had winked and left the area, disappearing as if he were some
phantom. Still though he knew he had to answer, he had to and so
he repeated the saying to himself. It was her choice.. He wanted
her with him; and she wanted the same.. " Please... come with
me..." He stated caving in and wrapping his arms around her
again, it felt warm, that agenda that allowed him to realize, he
would no longer be alone.. never again, and that brightened a
part of his heart that had been cold for a ver long time.. " I
have to beg you... I have to ask you to come with me, because
its what I should have done long before you ever thought to ask
me.." He had a slight smile on his face as he looked upon her..
and then once more he met her lips, holding her hands in his and
he pressed passionately against her.. " I want you to stay with
me.." He whispered just against her lips.. and as he said it,,
he realized just how true it was..

Annika stared up at him as her hands clung to him tightly, her
eyes pleading with him to let her join him, stay by his side...
She couldn't understand why her feelings were so strong for him,
why she wanted so desperately to stay with him, but she knew
that no matter what, she would. Even if he said no, that she had
to stay here, they she couldn't possibly go with him, she would
still follow him to the ends of the universe if she had to. She
didn't know how, but she would. When he asked if she was sure,
she nodded, determination on her face as she tightened her grip
on him. "I'm sure. I don't care if you think I should stay here
or if I should be safe or whatever your reason. I'm coming with
you." She stared up at him, ready for whatever argument he would
offer her. Too dangerous? She could handle it. Away from friends
or family? She had none. The only reason she would stay, would
be if he said he simply didn't want her with him. But after
those kisses... she was sure he wouldn't say that. Preparing
herself to argue with him, ready to offer any reason, she found
herself surprised when he began to beg. Wasn't that supposed to
be her job right now? She blinked and stared at him in
bewilderment, though of course she felt relief spread through
her along with anticipation. "Of course, I'm coming with you."
She closed her eyes as his lips met hers, interlocking her
fingers between his as she listened to his whisper. "Always."
She whispered softly back, her breath light against his lips as
her nose touched against his.

Kota couldn't help the smile that continued to fall over his
lips as he held her hands and listened, felt her embrace, words
and touch alike. "I am glad... always.." he said calmly and
rubbed his nose against hers slightly. "Well... " he said
reluctantly parting a bit of distance between them, except their
hands which remained clasped. "We better get going then.. " he
said calmly turning a bit as if to lead her.. his hands left
hers and he moved to look over the city once more, then looked
to the sky.. "come here?" he said calmly glancing to her with a
coy smile his head ready to take hers.. and he waited for her to
join him.. Now he knew she was likely more willing to run in her
wolf form than this alternative.. but it couldn't be
helped...they had to go the fastest way they could. And so as
she placed her hand in his e curled her up close to him.. and
before she could protest scooped her up.. " here goes.." Then
with a swift kick off of the ground he was nothing less than a
stream line that was zipping through the air at an unreal
speed.. The sky seemed to be a moving picture frame around them,
and both of their hair had no chance to remain kept .. So it was
that they had started a very unique adventure... and for once
Kota would not be adventuring alone...
