Annika chuckled as he questioned her, nodding though waiting for
his response to her comment about flattery before speaking
again. "Yeah, sweet. And funny. And kinda cute." she kept her
gaze lowered until the word 'cute', at which point she glanced
towards him with a smile before looking down again. "You call it
truth, I call it trying to sweet talk me." she nudged him with
her elbow lightly and giggled a little, still picking at the
grass. As he began to talk about his promise however, her
attention was drawn fully to him and she listened to his story.
It sounded tragic and terrible, she couldn't help but feel sorry
for him. As the tear rolled down his cheek, she leant towards
him to reach out and brush it away with her thumb gently, her
touch light as if it were only a feather. When he looked to her,
she couldn't help but stare for a moment. She could see the
reflection of the night sky in his eyes, her thumb still resting
against his cheek before she realized and quickly returned it to
the ground where her fingers played with the grass. She looked
at him and for some reason, felt compelled to do something. It
seemed crazy, she'd only known him for a few hours but... even
so. Annika blinked and then leant forwards until her nose was
inches from his. "Then stay, just a little longer, just one
night." her voice was softer noe and as she finished talking,
she let her lips touch his ever so lightly before leaning back
again. By now, her cheeks were deep red and she had lowered her
gaze again. She wasn't sure what he'd make of what she had done,
but hopefully it wouldn't be bad. Or at least, [I]too[/I] bad.

Kota hardly even noticed as she edged her way towards him. He
was distressed, with the memories of that horrible day. His mind
was a jumbled mess, but he welcomed the embrace. She was hardly
even a breath apart from him now , her nose just sitting offside
of his own now as he looked directly in her eyes, despite the
tears. As always the beautiful Crystal oceanic blue caught him
in a trance, only to be broken with her soft words. She told him
to stay, just for one more night, and then… A sudden shocking
sensation shot through him as if he had just felt the tiny sting
of polar magnetic things touching. Her lips met his, and though
he hardly had any time at all to prepare or even match her, it
was still perfect. It was absolutely serene, beautiful. And
pitiful all in the same moment; and it only left him longing for
more when she pulled away and pretty much shied away from him,
likely nervous by what she had just done.
Honestly Kota had no idea exactly how to react, the only thing
he knew was that his sullen face now had the hint of a smile on
it, it was a tortured smile only because; he wished he were able
to stay more than just a day, that he could just stay like this
for the rest of his life and forget the rest. “ Thank you..” he
finally said and smiled over to her. He knew it was dangerous
though, he knew it wouldn’t be long before the White Shadow
Marked found his location and raised hell in the quaint little
city. So why? Why did he .. “ I will stay one more night…” He
cast her a grin at that point, and only then did his heart begin
to settle from that spark. He almost wondered why she had done
it, but for now he wasn’t going to ask; it appeared she hadn’t
completely figured that part out yet either, the way she stared
into space.. Kota did the same though resting his head back and
shutting his eyes, he placed his hand on hers, and rest it there
as he just lay there silent.

Annika blinked as she heard his voice, looking across at him
with a raised eyebrow. "Thank you? For what?" She was a tad
confused, though there was still a dark blush across her cheeks.
Her fingers played with the blades of grass beneath her as she
waited for his answer, a smile spreading across her lips as he
said that he would stay. "That's great!" Turning to face him,
she lay down again so that she was lying on her side. "Do you
want to stay at mine or do you have a place to stay?" She knew
that there was plenty of room where she stayed, she'd rented an
apartment when she first moved to the city. Feeling his hand on
hers, she watched as he closed his eyes before glancing up to
the sky and the stars once more. For a while, she felt at peace.
As if everything had just been put on pause. She smiled to
herself and then closed her eyes, sighing softly in content.

He hadn't really expected her to question the thank you, but he
probably should have. It was just her nature really; she was so
curious in almost everything. So he merely smiled. "Everything."
he stated in calm voice as he lay there, and his hand continued
to brush over her hand as he settled into thought. " I think it
probably would be best to stay at your house, seeing as I am
without one." he chuckled a bit then, but he knew this was just
continuing the oncoming danger that would surely be settling
here anytime now. He knew for certain that at least two of them
had been tracking him for the past few months, but they were
good enough that he could never land the killing blow. Back in
the Forest of Montaire, he had fought them both at a handicap
and luckily had trapped them enough to slow them down, or none
of this would have ever been possible, but did he really truly
lose them for sure?" it didn't matter though as he lay there,
everything truly felt right with him, in his mind in his body,
lips and hand, mostly in his hand. "When did you want to head to
your home?" he asked looking over into her eyes and smiling.

Annika raised an eyebrow in curiosity at his answer. Everything?
She wasn't sure what she had done. She'd raced him and claimed
victory when it had clearly been a draw, then simply stared at
the stars with him for a while. Although, she was grateful for
his company, so perhaps he meant the same? Lowering her gaze
towards his hand as it grazed over hers, she smiled to herself
and let him continue, looking back to him. "Alright, well I have
plenty of room and it's fairly deep in the city. I like to stay
in the centre of places in case someone realizes who I am and
comes after me, it's easier to loose someone in the middle of
all the streets." She giggled and let her eyes slip closed,
listening to the sound of the wind and the chirrup of nearby
crickets as she felt his hand moving back and forth across her
own. Strangely, it relaxed her. She found herself almost falling
asleep before his voice pulled her from her daze and she opened
her eyes to find him looking at her. "Well, whenever you want
to, I don't mind. If you want, we could always watch one of
those movies people seem to watch a lot around here if we aren't
tired enough to sleep when we go back to my place. So it's up to
you." She smiled, wondering if he would rather go now or stay
out for longer.

He knew he was being odd really, in the way he answered and the
way he acted, but he couldn't really stop it. Did he even want
to honestly? Those few things continued to mess with his mind as
he lay there but he knew it was trivial, because honestly things
would happen as they would, and he couldn't control that. "We
might be better of to possibly go now then, before the cops
finally find a way to get after us aye?" he stated smiling a bit
as he laughed to himself and pushed from the ground, to brush
off some of the loose grass, from where he had been laying. he
had never watched movies, like humans had, even back in both
Kingdoms he had lived in, he had lived in a fairly old level of
entertainment that hardly included anything of electronics,
though he was not so dull and ignorant to electricity as a
caveman. He had actually tried a semester of real life school
one time, and that had even turned odd, honestly he couldn't
think of a time where he went somewhere and things didn't get
somewhat odd one way or the other and that amused him. " well i
have never really watched movies honestly, so that could be
interesting huh?" He then just laughed and offered her a hand,
to help her stand up and what not, though when he looked down at
her he couldn't help but think again back to her kissing him,
and the brilliant blue of her eyes.. it made him happy actually
truly happy to grasp these thoughts, and that in itself was a
miracle for him. "Well despite our little race I'm still no good
with this city, so you can lead us the way aye?" he turned then
and winked to her laughing under his breath, and waited for her
to take them on their way. He would try his hardest not to think
of the negatives, and just enjoy this; after all he never knew
when exactly he would ever have something like this again.

Hearing his decision to go now, Annika nodded and smiled. She
was rather glad he had decided they go now, it was getting a
little chilly now that they were sitting still and she had left
her jacket at home. "Alright then, that's probably a good idea."
She giggled, looking over towards the roads and wondering how
much trouble they had caused and how much of it would be on the
news in the morning. Shrugging it off, she looked back to Kota
and smiled. "Really? I find them pretty interesting. Especially
the ones about 'paranormal' stuff." She laughed and took his
hand, pulling herself to her feet. "It's rather amusing to watch
werewolf movies and see what kind of things they think we're
weak to. Like silver bullets... They seem to think only silver
bullets will hurt us. Bullets hurt no matter what god damn metal
they're made of!" She rolled her eyes and looked down at
herself, brushing off some of the loose grass and dirt that had
stuck to her. "Oh, right. I forgot you aren't familiar with the
city." Giggling lightly, she straightened up and looked over to
the road. "It's just this way for now, there's not really much
directing until we get further into the city." With that, she
began to make her way to the road, looking over to him to make
sure that he followed.

He couldn't help but to laugh at her mention of cheesy werewolf
movies. He had never seen how werewolves would be portrayed in
the human eyes, only how he had seen them in real life,
regretfully having killed quite a few if only in self defense.
His violet light blue swirled eyes met hers as she pointed tot
he direction of her home and he nodded. "Well shh you haha." he
stated as she giggled about his inability to navigate his city.
He wouldn't have the time to learn anyways.Still he followed her
leading down a straightened path as the strolled down the dark
streets. The lights brandished them with a street light and made
it simple for any villain to spot them out of a non existent
crowd. "Its a bit quiet I think...." Kota stated having the most
errie feeling as they made their way down the street and further
into the hustle and bustle of the city. Everything seemed so
still even both of their heartbeats, as they wandered the area;
no sounds of sirens or anything to mark danger of activity or
anything really. "something isn't right.." He whispered under
hsi breath hardly audible enough for her to hear..
Not a second after it all went to hell.. A super sonic
screeching sound was heard to pierce the silence as pieces of
several cars towered over them flying directly at them. Kota
peered up with disdain and only out of instinct, did the debris
of the street collide with it self and shoot up in several
pillars to pierce through each and every one of the car pieces
holding them int he air with thick lines of deep crystal white
sand it seemed. He turned to Annika, just in time for the mark
that lined both of his body to being to emit its shadow like
substance and before long his right hand was covered in the
black shadow like power that he had shown her before. It was
only just in time for the net screech to be heard, and in no
time for it to hit, shattering the wall right next to them and
forcing them both to scatter slightly. "Run!" he shouted to
Annika as he heard the next screech, and saw the sonic slash
that followed, he knew it was too good to be true to thin that
things could remain calm for an entire days time... Silently he
plucked out his dagger from its spot at his waist and ran his
hand over it leaving the dreadful black and blue aura to
fluctuate from it as he looked over and saw the intricate white
pattern that lined the mans torso. "White Shadow Marked....
Maestro of Chaos... Sunder..." He growled and caught the mans
wicked grin before he peered over to Annika, Kota knew what the
game would be.. and he made a dash towards her, just as Sunder
reared back his wicked scythe.
( thought we would incorporate a little more excitement too =D)

Annika giggled at his statement, shaking her head. It was
amusing how little he knew of the city compared to her even
though she hadn't even been living here for very long herself.
Leading him through the streets, her thoughts were elsewhere for
a while before she heard him speak, pulling her from her
daydreaming. "Quiet?" She blinked and looked around. She hadn't
even noticed. Things were rather... silent. Where were the
night-time drivers? The people who came out at night? Usually
the streets had at least a few people, but tonight it was
just... empty. And she hadn't even noticed. Frowning to herself
a little, she looked back to Kota and was about to speak again
but was cut off by a high pitched ringing in her ears. With a
yelp, she pressed her hands over her ears tightly, trying to
block the sound from her caninely-sensitive ears. It knocked her
senses for a moment and left her disorientated, so that by the
time the wall crumbled beside them, she barely had enough
reaction time to move out of the way. Even as she regained her
concentration, another screech rang through her head, causing
her to let out another yelp that, this time, had a mix of
frustration.
Through the disorientation, she heard Kota telling her to run
and she knew that when someone told her to run, she ran. Shaking
her head to try to clear it, she took a breath and tried to get
some sort of grip on what was going on. Her eyes darted from
Kota to the stranger, before realising that it seemed she was
going to be a target here. She knew she had two choices; stay in
this form and risk being unable to dart quickly out of the way,
or shift and run the risk of another screech. Her ears could
handle it as she was now but shifting might cause the effects to
be even worse... Deciding that either way, she was going to end
up disoriented, she dropped to all fours and with a crunch of
bones, shifted, ready to run or dodge anything that came her
way. Even if that meant being a target as a distraction so that
Kota could be at an advantage.

Kota sprinted, skipping straight into his Phantom step as the
man averted his dangerous weapon to send a Stream line blast of
super sonic echoes crashing into the wall next to her.. It was
far too late, but how could he expect to surpass the speed of
sound, how could she? " Sunder I am right here!" he growled out
to the man but, it appeared that his words were met far sooner
than he would have liked.. He hardly had enough time to defend
as Sunder almost instantly swung the green bladed Sythe towards
Kota, and grazed his Ribs. he had a malicious smile upon his
face , and hi voice was just as daunting. " Oh Dear Kota, what
will you do here, you have a little bit of a liability on your
hands..." His voice was like daggers of truth piercing directly
into his very being, and even though Kota had known being around
anyone for too long was dangerous, he had spent the entire day
with her, for all he knew Sunder had been watching this entire
time, like the heartless bastard he had proven himself to be
time and time again. Again though despite the pain in his rib he
charged to Annika's side, at the very least if he was going to
die he was going to make sure she was safe.. "Still trying to
keep her? How Precious!" that serpents voice echoed from behind
him as the man behind them now drew something in the air, and as
if he were blowing an elegant kiss the ring he had created shot
forward. At first there was silence but as it passed Cars the
cars let off a horrible tune as if they were being scratched
with nails against the surface and then they crumbled in upon
themselves, from pure pressure.
Kota was lucky to have finally got to her side now and watch as
the ring got closer and closer to them. " You have to jump
through the ring.." he stated to her and prepared himself as he
summoned forth more of the crystal looking sand and allowed it
to build up walls that continued and continued to layer upon
themselves in an attempt to somewhat cushion the oncoming blast.
he had lost sight of Sunder by now, but he knew how relentless
this man could be, he had watched him slaughter village after
village as he chased him, and this city would be no different if
he were allowed to remain. His friend was the only reason again
and again that they had had to pull back and work out their
plan. Then the time came and just as the pressure his the sand,
Kota cringed in pain; the feeling of his bones cracking only by
the force of the sound waves was enough to crush a lesser man.
Despite that however he turned his head to her, Jump through the
ring and run..I will see you again..I promise." He stated then
remained his focus and started a small countdown.. 3..... The
ring was not far at all from him and he could feel the pressure,
still he clenched his teeth past it all. 2.... Only a few more
seconds and he knew it would be time to make his move.. 1... he
shouted then with all of his might he pushed the giant colossal
wall of White sand forward to send it in almost the form of a
tidal wave towards the opponent, he knew despite that immediate
urge to see if she made it, that he could not look back.. Now he
stood dagger in hand, bleeding arms face to face with Sunder,
and he could only hope he could remain true to his promise.
