Annika couldn't help but giggle as he questioned her age,
shaking her head. "You don't have to call me Miss, I'm not your
teacher or anything." She shrugged her shoulders a little,
tilting her head to the side. "I'm eighteen." Sort of... she
added in her thoughts, though didn't mention it out loud. "And
you?" Such a strange conversation, she'd never really discussed
ages with other people in introductions before, usually it was
just names, places of origin and a polite 'how are you'. She was
rather glad when he passed over the subject of her parents and
didn't question it. She wasn't sure yet if it would be okay to
talk about, and it was definitely something she wasn't going to
lie about. Though when he seemed to slip up with his words, she
knew this boy was different. Not just different from other guys,
but different in the way that she was. "It sounds like a good
place to live." She smiled curious to find out in what way he
was... unlike the people around here. She would have to somehow
slip something into the conversation that would give some sort
of hint that she knew, but not enough that if she were mistaken
and he were normal, he wouldn't notice. But she was terrible at
hinting things, so maybe the best way to go about it would be to
just tell him? She was quiet for a moment, her thoughts a-buzz
with what she could say until finally, she gave up and simply
asked, "Universes?"

The ice had officially shattered around them now, and the
awkward feeling and wave had long gone by them. Kota looked at
her directly now, studying to find something in her eyes, A
spike in her power or something along those lines, but she much
have been incredibly good at hiding whatever it was she chose to
hide. Normally he would feel threatened, but for her he had no
worries for the oddest reason. Then the question he had hoped he
might avoid sat right before him. " Yes Universes..." he said
reluctantly... and in that moment he released his own power. His
power began to grow like a spike int he air as it suddenly
heated exponentially. "The universes that surround this one.."
he said calmly; only now taking a chance to trust her and leave
her with such information. She surely would have felt the spike
in power if she were of a special realm. " oh and before this
gets too.. off track, Im 19.." he said with a simple grin,
though the power spike was beginning to show over his body. The
mark he wore began to almost move as his one arm lost all of its
tattoos, the right arm became shrouded in black tribal and a
mist like smoke fell from his hand.. " What I was going to say
earlier.. was I am Named Kota Asader Son, to Kayis Asader and
Essenias Asader... Black Shadow Marked Harbinger of misery in
death." he sighed for a moment knowing full well he had just
lost her companionship if she were normal, and that he would
have to b line out of this town to avoid issues, and many
pointless deaths.. His eyes had a black shroud to them with the
violet and blue pupil int he middle of the abyss. "I suppose I
may wan't to get to running aye?" he asked with a sarcastic
humor to his voice as he rose from the bench.. he had used his
own aura to heat he air and make it almost like invisibility
around their position, only she would see this about him.

There it was. She could feel it in the air, something different
that was now radiating from him. She had been right, he wasn't
of this world, and as he spoke it only confirmed her thoughts.
Although he seemed comfortable to let her see what it was that
made him unique, she kept her secret to herself for the moment,
deciding she would wait first. Hearing his age, she nodded and
watched as the marks upon his skin which she had thought were
tattoos, began to move. Raising an eyebrow, she watched his arms
until he began to speak again, her curiosity growing. For some
reason he gave the impression that he expected her to run or to
react badly, though in truth she was actually rather glad. She
had been beginning to grow bored of the dull humans in these
past few months and had almost been tempted to return to the
country which most certainly would have been a bad idea. As he
spoke, she frowned slightly, watching him rise. "Oh? And why is
that?" Her frown faded to a sly grin. "Don't you think if I was
going to chase you or run to tell someone about you, I would
have done it by now?" Shaking her head, she swung her legs over
the side of the bench again to face forwards, leaning back and
folding her arms. "I figured there was something about you.
Couldn't sense it to figure out what it was until just now, but
I knew there was something."

The atmosphere of their comfort changed almost instantly. Kota
was happy however, she had not run; she was no freaking out or
screaming, none of the normal reactions he would witness showing
a human this shit. "Had to be sure of course..' he commented as
the energy about him began to fade a bit.. His eyes dimmed to
return to that normal form of white with the brilliant bright
blue and violet. His white hair fell messily back into place and
he took a moment to breath as the tribal reformed to its normal
form. "So then I take it you aren't really from ireland then?"
he asked calmly as he cracked his neck, and rolled his
shoulders... the cloak was off and now he was bare in his wicked
preverbal armor. " Annika, I think I missed your last name; or
you hadn't shared it Im not sure but either way Im asking, now
that theres little left to secret on my part. You knew, but
couldn't be sure now you can... and I am the only one left to be
curious.. What are yo?" he asked this then looking dep into her
eyes, it was an odd surreal moment that their eyes locked but it
ended all too soon. He realized what he was doing and leaned
back into the bench, " not to be so rude.. Im just a tad curious
now that I know your not just one of these humans, I also knew."

Annika watched as he seemed to return to a more normal looking
state, nodding in agreement at his comment. "Of course, I
wouldn't show myself without being certain either, unless it
were an emergency." She glanced around for a moment, her eyes
watching unsuspecting people not to far from where they sat. Two
Earth-shattering secrets were sitting on this very bench,
secrets that would completely change the science of the world
and how the humans looked at things, and yet those people right
over there were completely clueless. Such a thing always amused
her. Turning her attention back to Kota, she paused before
answering him. "My name is Annika Callaghan. I am from Ireland,
but my parents were not. Nor were the creatures that killed
them. As for what I am, I honestly don't know. All I do know, is
I have lived a great number of lives, and whenever my life ends,
it begins again and I have no memory of the past life until I
reach the age I am now. It's always the same. Same name, same
origin, same traumatic past. My parents have never lived passed
my turning five but I don't remember it happening before, until
I turn eighteen. Then it's like a light-switch, it just...
clicks and it all comes flooding back." She frowned a little,
though it was more of an inquisitive frown. She ran a hand
through her hair and turned her gaze away, chewing her lower
lip slightly. "Although the humans have a name for whatever it
is I am, but I think they mistake me for the more... mythical
version they have here in stories. Have you heard of their term,
werewolf?" She glanced to the side to look at him, her eyes
meeting with his again though only for a brief moment as she
quickly looked away again.

Kotas eyes lit up as they widened and peered upon her. Her
existence was a curse, a reversal and relapse of life repeated
into eternal misery. In its own way he felt drawn to her, his
heart almost beat for her; almost like she was someone that
could truly understand the truth of misery and pain, without
death. He was speechless as he sat there trying to think of what
to say, and allt he while just listening to each word she said.
As she got to the comment of humans his attention piqued and he
met her eyes right as she looked away, It brought a small grin
to his lips as he watched her and breathed out calmly; his
fingers rubbing at his temples. "I would have never guessed...
do you age then as a normal being would until you die and
rebirth?" He was curious really, He did not age past the bodily
age of 24.. It just stayed at that age, however his mind would
become wiser with time. "Werewolf?" he questioned, though he was
entirely curious now, what did she mean so to speak in terms of
a werewolf, the everlasting life, or was there more to this?
Kota found her eyes again and sought for some wolfish factor,
only this time it was too late to stop himself he got lost in
them, and with a slightly gaping mouth he looked upon her. Her
eyes were just .. captivating, they drew him in and now that he
almost had a sense of belonging with her on this bench, like
some divine inception of reality had brought them together. He
finally caught himself though and shook his head as if returning
from a daze as he apologize at almost a whisper "sorry for
that.. umm when you say werewolf, what do you mean really?

Hearing his question, she allowed her lips to curve into a smile
and she shook her head. "No, once my memory comes back, I stop
aging. Well, sort of." She thought to herself for a moment, and
she realized how freeing it was to talk about this so openly. It
had been a while since she could talk about such things, the
chance to do so made her feel almost normal, as if she were
simply discussing the weather. "I stay like this for a life time
and then as I grow old, my body just sort of... expires.
Everything starts shutting down bit by bit, but it varies. One
life I was in a hospital for months because they just wouldn't
let me go, another life my heart just simply stopped." she
chuckled lightly and shook her head. "I say it so casually but
no matter how many times it happens, the fear of death still
grips me when it comes for me." When he questioned her, she
smiled and turned on the bench to face him once more, though she
paused when she caught sight of his gaze. For a moment, she was
quiet, as if entrancement had taken her. Now that she took a
better look, he really did have stunning eyes...
When he broke the silence, she blinked as a light tint of pink
crossed her pale cheeks. "Uhm... well, they think it's all to do
with full moons and bloodthirsty hunting, but it's not. At
least, I'm not..." she laughed lightly and her smile lit her
face again. "I can change shape between this, and a wolf. I
don't know where it comes from though, but I can change fully or
partially." she glanced towards a couple who were heading their
way, then waited for them to pass before demonstrating. He had
shown her what he could do, it was only fair she show him. The
blue of her eyes shimmered to reflect a deep amber as she held
out her hand. With a few clicks of bones, her hand shifted and
became paw-like, fur growing across her skin as her nails grew
to claws and the palm of her hand swelled to become the pads of
what was now a wolf paw. "I can change as much as I like, but it
does get a little painful if I do it too often, bone
reconstruction isn't exactly childs-play." She laughed a little
and chewed her lip before letting her paw return to a hand and
flexing her fingers.

over all he had not expected this for a change. Even when she
had mentioned the aspect of being a werewolf, in human eyes; he
found that he had thouht of her turning into the massive Lycan
types that crossed between human and wolf. Kota had fought some
of those types before; and they were quite the admirable
opponent, honored and very tribal based, at least the ones he
had run into were. So when she showed him this odd little shift
of just her hand his eyes widened and he looked at her hand a
tad bit excited. It was an incredibly neat ability to have. '
that is actually amazing.. I have never met anyone that might be
able to transform partially to that of a wolf form at will none
the less." he was excited, and perhaps it was the fact he could
share an afternoon with a beautiful young lady with a cursed
life much to the same level as his own, maybe it was that she
accepted him without question, but he was happy with the
situation; actually truly comfortable in her presence. "when I
stopped in this city, I had never suspected id meet someone like
you.." he said almost trailing off his words as he looked off
into a different direction. he seemed to be in thought of
something.
The Day was going fast however.. He hadn't looked to see exactly
what time it had been when he had arrived here, but it must have
been later afternoon. it would have made sense with the way the
sun had been bright a few minutes ago and now as receding into
the night. "So um Annika, what will you do now, I mean your in
this city of people that would never hope to understand anything
beyond the simplicity of there own world, so how do you cope?"
He tilted his head slightly in question as his white hair fell
over his eyes and he chuckled. It was a sub surreal cute scene,
and he dashed his head to the side fast enough that the hair
didn't stay long. " I mean I suppose I could ask myself the
same thing, but I can really just Phantom step out of here at
any time.. " He stated sighing slightly as the moon started to
make its appearance, soon enough things were going to get...
rough around here, the night time in big cities always meant the
slum of the normal world made their appearance, and he appeared
weak, she was a beautiful young woman, they would become targets
soon as the lights hit the streets to mark curtain of stars.
Oddly however, he was till comfortable.

Annika smiled as she saw the excitement in his eyes, though it
amused her greatly. She'd never seen such a reaction to her...
condition... before. Usually people either freaked out or tried
to out-do her with 'oh look what I can do'. Excitement was
certainly new. "Amazing?" She couldn't help but giggle, shaking
her head. "I never really thought so, but I guess it is pretty
cool." She studied him for a moment and she began to wonder,
would she stick around to talk to him more? Would he stick
around? She knew she would certainly like that, it was
refreshing to be able to talk to someone so openly about such
things and not have to worry about letting anything slip. She
felt more at peace sitting on that bench with him than she had
since she left the countryside. Watching him while he looked
away to think, she nodded her head. "To be honest, I thought I'd
left everything behind. I figured if there was anyone else here
who wasn't like the rest of them," she gestured to the few
people who were still around who must have been heading home by
now, "then they'd be hiding and I would never stumble across
them. And yet, here you are." She chuckled lightly and rested
her chin on the palm of her hand again, leaning her weight onto
her elbow on the back of the bench.
Glancing upwards, she noticed that it was beginning to grow
dark. It wasn't a problem to her, she often wondered the streets
alone at night if only to give her that familiar feeling of
being on edge that she had felt throughout her other lives.
Strangely, it comforted her, she felt used to it after spending
lives running from the world. Though she decided that tonight
she would either go home, or stick around and find something to
do with Kota. That is, if he didn't leave. Hearing his question,
she smiled and rolled her shoulders in a shrug. "How do I cope?
Well, it's strange. This all seems so new to me still, my
memories only came back a few months ago which is why I moved
here, at first I wanted to try escaping it all. I wanted a
normal life this time, but I don't think that's going to
happen." She laughed and tucked a stray piece of hair behind her
ear. "I don't think I'm supposed to have a normal life. It just
doesn't suit me." Looking back to Kota, her features outlined in
the silvery light of the moon, she tilted her head slightly and
for a moment, she paused. She knew the reason she felt more
comfortable around him was because they now knew about each
other, but it wasn't usually in her nature to go from complete
strangers to sudden trust so quickly. Unable to understand why
she felt so relaxed and open with him, Annika shook her head and
simply went with it. "What about you? What are you going to do
next, I mean, do you plan on staying here a while or are you
leaving again soon?"

What would he do? The question was on his own mind. He really
did enjoy just staying with her like this; it was a relaxation
he had needed for such a long time but his promise still had yet
to be fulfilled. He knew all too well he had to finish what he
was supposed to, and the fact that if he remained here.. it
could get extremely dangerous for her; which he never wanted.
The White shadow marked hunted him as if he were some rare breed
of animal, they tracked him multiple times and though he had
never managed to kill one yet, they always had a new level of
fight about them.. He thought back to that time when he actually
had received his Black Shadow mark. It was at the Halimaya's
Leap, that old faithful waterfall of sorted colors and dreams.
it was also where he had learned that Kayis, his father had been
killed " trying to protect charm and Alivia. So much had
happened since then, he had learned of the curse that came with
his new found power and many other sorted tortures.. He had
found affection and a sort of love, and had killed her only by
accident, that cursed hand; which he would not be able to
actually suppress for too much longer.
His attention was bought back however as he realized the
situation at hand, and luckily only a few seconds had passed
from the time of her last words. " Umm.. well I normally jump
from place to place, this was supposed to be a place of
relaxation for me from some of the other turmoils I deal with on
a daily basis, and so far it truly is. it is really nice to be
around you, and I trust you which is something that I can't
really explain.." he looked down and messed his thumbs together
thinking only to himself as he did.. He knew all too well he had
just spilled his guts to a stranger, that was more friendly with
him than the serpent in the garden claiming to be his friend.
"Your life, well Lives have all lead through so much tragedy, a
pain that most will never even remotely understand, and I don't
want to sound cliche but I believe I do understand.." he stopped
for a moment.. then realized he was going way to far into this
story, she would not wish to hear of his woes.. ' I think I will
stay, if nothing else at least for the night..' he finally
decided raising his head to pass a smile to her. " besides if
your going to be around all these people, then it will probably
be nice for you to at least be able to let loose a bit right?"
