City Of kalihai is a large city the likes of New york. It is
mainly a city with a semi high crime rate and a strong bit of
business that owns the main share of the city. gangs and normal
every day modern city life apply here. Think big city when you
describe your settings and the place of the city you are In. (
always place the part of the city EX: Bar Downtown as your
subject. if you can remember) +End note.. humans are what is
common, but the shadows conceal many things, All creatures
welcome.+
Normal rules, All things allowed here. Modern time period.
Normal fighting rules apply.

The air whisked about his frame as it passed around him. Kota
was moving at a speed which allowed him to maintain a constant
dash over the sky and not one touch ground. This day he was
merely wearing a white beater that slightly showed off his
chest, and he wore well fit jeans. His hair was as always a wild
mess, and even more so as he took through the air. It was not
long however that he caught wind of a familiar smell, A hot dog
stand was near, and by the time he had taken the time to look
below him he found that he was actually hovering luckily in the
shadow of a building; where no one would be able to see him. Of
course even if one had seen him, who was going to believe a
white haired bag of bones was drifting int he open sky without a
wire or some tye of mechanism to hold him. In truth he hadn't
visited any cities in quite some time; his training had been a
focus and his motives, but what was the harm in taking a short
break to relax, even he needed that right? Kota turned his head
to the side to read the building he was nearest to and read that
it was the "Kaliahai City Bank" That probably wasn't a good
thing to hover next to and so, with a few strides he found
himself touching toe in a dark alley way. The hustle and bustle
of cars passing like a stampede; he dug in his pockets for some
change and found just enough for what might be normal rates for
a hot dog. Then made his way over to the stand. "One hot dog
please?" he asked in a light tenor of a voice.. with a slight
bit of husk behind it and handed the man his change. Then he
waited to be served.

Annika yawned, her vivid blue eyes closing slightly as her nose
crinkled. How she hated the foul stench of the city, and yet at
the same time, she loved it. After spending the last few months
here instead of the open air of the country, in a strange way
she had grown fond of the car fumes and the sewer smells. It
reminded her that she was in a place populated by more than cows
and farmers. Running a hand through curled blonde hair, she
glanced around and sighed lightly. It seemed busier today, as if
everyone had somewhere to be; everyone but her. A low grumble
from her stomach told her she was hungry and she realised that
she still hadn't eaten today.
With another yawn, she slipped her hand into the pocket of her
jeans and felt for some change. Not enough for something in a
cafe, but probably enough for something from a street stand.
Deciding she would walk until she found somewhere to eat, she
bent down to adjust the laces of her red converse and then stood
up from the bench she had been sitting on. She made her way down
the street and soon found the scent of hot dogs filling her
nostrils. Perfect. With a smile upon her lips, she followed the
delicious smell until she found herself at a hot dog stand.
Standing aside for a moment while she waited for the person in
front to be served, she found her attention began to wonder. She
couldn't help but notice how light the hair of the boy in front
was and for a moment, she wondered if it were his natural hair
colour, or if it had been bleached. So many people these days
tainted their hair with chemicals, it was starting to get
difficult to tell who did and who didn't.

The man hurried about his little stand as if it were the last
days of his life. Kota wait in line and found his attention
drawn to a small group of kids that were dribbling a basketball
through the street. He had never played such games, he had never
really had the chance to be a child and play with the other
kids. It was a depressing thought really but he pushed it aside
as the warmth of a another came close enough for him to notice
her. He would have looked back right in that moment to see who
it was but the man claimed his attention once more. Deep blue
eyes met the mans and he nodded graciously taking the little
treat. the swirl of violet in his eyes caught the sun just right
to almost make them shimmer a bit like some ethereal star or
something of the sort. It was actually slightly blinding but he
placed one of his hands above and cupped it to avoid the beating
sun as he turned and out of peripheral met the view of the
gorgeous young lady behind him.
At first thought he would have thought that the way the light
seemed to bound around her she were some sort of Angel. Still he
had to remind himself that this play was stocked with a human
populace, not anything of what he was used to in his travels.
Before he knew it a few words slipped.. " hello there mis." his
voice sounded softly in the air as the waves collided between
eye contact. He had a simple smile on, actually in a far better
mood than he normally would be but he realized he was almost
keeping her from getting her own food. " I apologize don't mean
to hold you up." he said calmly and dipped his head to bow
politely; his hair fell into his eyes slightly as a wild mess
and then he turned to go sit at the nearest bench.

Annika blinked as she realised she had been staring at his hair,
turning her gaze away as he began to turn around. Glancing
towards him so that she could see the face of the person she had
just been staring at, she found her gaze met his. For a moment,
she felt like she was supposed to say something, though before
she could gather her thoughts, he had already spoken. "Hello,"
she smiled, her voice sweet like honey with a light Irish accent
which was barely noticeable with such a small amount of talk.
She watched as he bowed his head and moved away, pausing for a
moment to watch him. She was interrupted by a loud, obvious
cough from the man serving the hot dogs and she shook her head
to bring her attention back and gave a brief, apologetic smile
before ordering a hot dog.
Once she had been served, she covered it in ketchup and mustard,
then stepped aside so that whoever was behind her could get
theirs. Unsure where to go next, Annika looked around and tried
to think of what to do. It was then that she spotted the white
haired boy from a moment ago sitting down, and after deciding
she had nothing else to do, she went over to sit at the other
end of the bench. She was quiet for a moment, quite content as
she took a bite of her hot dog making sure to swallow her
mouthful before talking. "My name's Annika, by the way." She
glanced towards him, her lips curving to a smile as she held out
her free hand to him in greeting, the bangles upon her wrist
jangling lightly. "Don't worry about before, there's no need to
have apologised."

It was rare that Kota had time to actually sit around and eat so
it was not surprising to him when he look to his hands realizing
his hot dog was already gone. Most of the time he was either
dashing away from a group of angry creatures, or perhaps even
fighting his way off from one of the White shadow Marked. He was
alone now for a few moments and as such, he took off the white
tank top shirt and layed his head back and took a moment to
breath. He had wind rushing past his bare pale flesh and his
body was exposed from the slight tone in his abs to the pecs and
of course the most mysteriously appealing aspect to him; his
Black tribal symbols. They ran over his shoulders and down the
back of his arms all the way to the wrists; the symbols were
morbid and portrayed a certain aspect of torture and pain..
death.. misery.. it was what defined him as one of the Black
Shadow Marked Harbingers.
Kota's thoughts were disturbed pleasantly however as he felt a
shift in weight on the bench and turned to meet the face of the
young woman he had only shared a few words with. Was she perhaps
intentionally following him? he wondered but didn;t let it show
as she informally introduced herself. A voice like honey that
was freshly taken and; soft and gentle and yet it had the cutest
little tinge about it that he could not pick out, her name was
also interesting to him; mostly because he hardly had
interactions with anyone unless they wanted him harmed for
whatever reason. " I am Kota...Asa.....err.." he stopped himself
from saying his last name, Knowing the news he had jut learned
of his father that name might not be the best thing for a first
impression. " I like your name actually, it fits you for some
reason." he said with a slight nod of his head as he nervously
went to take another bite of an invisible hot dog... realizing
all too soon what he was about to do; he passed it off as if he
were picking some dirt from his face. " So Annika are you from
this city?" He asked trying to find some casual conversation,
but really he was sweating it.. this was just the basics of the
etiquette classes he had taken when he was younger in the
Kingdom.

Annika couldn't help but allow her eyes to glance downwards,
interest taking a hold as she saw what looked like tattoos. Of
course, she didn't mention them just yet, they were still being
introduced. As he told her his name, she chuckled lightly when
she heard him pause before letting his surname slip. She could
understand him changing his mind about telling her, after all,
she hadn't told him her own and for good reason. Raising an
eyebrow at his comment on her name, she took a bite of her hot
dog and pondered what he had said. No one had ever really told
her that before, it was an unusual thing to say and she wasn't
all too sure what to say in reply to it. She was relieved to
hear him continue speaking, glad that she didn't have to think
of something to say.
Shaking her head, she picked at the bread bun in her hand and
tossed a piece to a nearby bird. "No, I'm from far away." She
thought for a moment, trying to decide where would be best to
say she was from. After all, she was from many places, all of
which she could call home. Finally she settled for an answer.
"I'm from a place called Ireland, but I moved around a lot." She
paused, wondering if she should continue. On the one hand, it
might be normal to give a brief reason of why she moved around.
But on the other hand, it would be a bad idea in case he asked
questions that she couldn't answer and she hated lying. "Are you
from around here?" She finished her hot dog and lifted her legs
up onto the bench to cross them, turning to face Kota and
resting her hands in her lap. She was curious about him now, he
seemed rather different to other people she had met. Not to
mention the fact that he was rather handsome.

" Far away?" he questioned slightly whispering to himself as he
looked upon her. Each second he took upon her he realized more
and more she was a very beautiful woman, and almost appeared to
be close to the same age as himself. Kota was int he body of a
19 year old and luckily that was his actual age; despite his
ageless life. He was pretty interested in the things she had to
say to him and listened intently. A hand moved to comb through
his white hair and lay it slightly back so not to disturb his
view. The woman spoke of Ireland, it must have been of the
normal world, that she originated from; he had learned of
Ireland in ancient geography course he had taken under Rai. " I
have heard that Ireland is a very beautiful country." he stated
and smiled gently to her. He had a feeling there might be more
to the story, the way she stalled but he was not about to pry at
her life. "I too am from Far, FAR away" he shook his head
thinking back to the endless black sand deserts that he had
called home, then to the ruins of the Tyretian Kingdom which had
played his home for most of his teen years. "In truth I really
don't belong int he city, I came from the sands but all in all
iv been traveling on me own." Kota nodded to her and found his
hands folded over his lap as he rested into the bench. "Do you
travel with anyone these days. A mother or father?" he realized
it sounded slightly as if he was saying she looked young ; which
she did, young and beautiful but he had to clear it up fast. "I
only ask because you appear young, and Im not so bold to guess
at your age." he chuckled a bit and then relaxed his hands
behind his head and waited for her to reply.

Annika nodded at his question, giving a small smile. He seemed
nice enough, perhaps this hadn't been a bad idea; to come over
and talk to him. After all, she could certainly use some
company. As he continued to speak, her gaze seemed to drift a
little, casting her thoughts back to the years she spent in her
home land. "Yes, it is beautiful." Images flashed in her mind of
rolling hills covered in the greenest of grass, streams that
trickled along rocky paths to mysterious places and quaint
villages where everyone knew everyone else. Hearing him speak
once more, she brought her attention back and nodded as she
listened. "Sands? You mean like... a desert?" She raised an
eyebrow in interest. One of the few places she had never been to
was a desert. "What was it like?" She paused at his question,
chewing her lip as she considered her answer carefully. "No, I
travel alone. Both of my parents died, a long time ago." She
shook her head and smiled to show that she was alright about
this fact. "So I just sort of wander around by myself. I used to
have a sort of companion who followed after me though, but she
had a family crisis and had to go back home." She chuckled
lightly at his comment on her age, resting her elbow on the back
of the bench and setting her head to rest on the palm of her
hand. "Well, if you aren't bold enough to guess, are you bold
enough to ask?" Her question made her think of what his own age
might be; at a glance, she could only guess he were in his late
teens, though she couldn't make an exact estimate.

It had looked to be dismal at first, but with the ice slowly
shattering beneath them; they found themselves in a civil
conversation. Kota sighed to himself as she taunted his boldness
and he actually felt just a tad bit embarrassed for a moment. "
I suppose when Im taunted to be so bold, id best be up to the
task aye?" he laughed a bit to himself then nudged his head
forward. "so then how old are you Miss Annika?" he asked as he
sat there and tried to guess for himself. 17, 16... no 18 He
wasn't sure though so he kept silent after he asked. He felt bad
even though she had made it apparent that it was ok; he knew
that discussing dead parents was harmful. Unfortunately the one
parent he cared for was dead, and the other got off fucking
scott free, at least that was what he believed despite what that
fucking Lizard man had told him. " its unfortunate your friend
had to leave you, but its somewhat euphoric at times traveling
the world on your own, all the different universes.." that was a
fuck up... His hand shot to his mouth as he realized what he had
just said.. ' oh the desert, is a place that takes getting used
to, the sand is deathly hot int eh day and at night its
beautiful to look over the sands with the moon over head. " he
stalled for a moment to breath and hoped she had not caught his
comment about different universes, If she were human it would
make him sound like a freak, but on the flip side if there was
more to this it might draw out a new level of comfort.
