Troubled Misfits
By: Yume_Kuroyuki Date: October 19, 2015, 9:34 pm

Marinko looked at herself in the mirror. She still looked creepy
like normal.. but she had tried to at least cover the scars...
Even if she has metal sticking out of her skin, it doesn't mean
that she can't try her best to look cute. Hell, the dress she
was in was of a gothic lolita style. Though it probably just
made her look like a really strange doll. Especially since her
eye is yellow. Not much she could do about that either. Today,
she was going to try and be social at the club. Maybe.
She walked the few blocks from her apartment to the club. The
Sound, one of the most hopping places, where most of the younger
generation came. Of any race or gender. And the worker's knew
her. So the wouldn't question her looks. She actually got VIP
treatment today. The bouncer telling her not to even mess with
trying to get to the end of the line and letting her on through.
She smiled at him. Though she heard and saw people back away
from her when she did. She looked down. A little sad at that.
Even her smiles were scary. She bit her lip as she walked in.
What was she going to do. She was going to end up like she
normally does, in the corner, with no one to talk to. Not that
she minded, but she really should be making some friends now...
She walked up to the bar and orders and sweet cherry margarita
with a sugar rim and leaned on the counter, scanning the room
when she saw someone she saw at other clubs. A man with long
blonde hair. And he seemed to never stop partying like, he had
nothing else to do? Maybe not. It seemed though that some girls
were already swoon at him, and he was across the bar. She looked
away from him. Her bad eye to him as she waited for her drink in
the loud club. Maybe someone other than an employee would talk
to her today. She could only hope.

Soul shivered lightly, it was cold out tonight, the city's night
life still pumping in-doors. A rather tall 6 foot 2 humanoid
started walking down the streets. He wore a rather long black
trench coat, parted at the chest, revealing his beautifully
sculpted chest. He wore long black pants that hung rather low,
exposing the lower portions of his hips but keeping everything
else concealed. His hands visible at the ends of his sleeves,
his skin was beautifully healthy, giving a full flush color. His
long blonde hair draped elegantly over his chest and down his
back over the coat. The coat itself was plain except for silver
buckles that dangled along edges of the coat. His eyes were a
brilliant emerald, almost as if giving off a dim light of their
own. He shuddered lightly in the cold, looking around he finds a
club named The Sound. Smirking lightly he shrugs. "Well, beats
the cold..." Looking to the bouncer he smirks. "Gonna let me
in?" After getting scanned for his attire the big man opened the
door for Soul to enter. Looking around he finds himself amongst
the hypnotic beats of the DJ and the clamor of the crowd. His
lips curl into a thrilled smile as he waves at the random people
acknowledging him. He then notices as drinks and drugs begin to
trade hands, chuckling as he finds himself being handed drug
after drug by random women. Popping only one or two before
letting the rest fall to the floor. He then found himself
dancing with several people, laughing as he finds himself at the
bar, tapping his fingers down he lays down a few really old gold
coins, not caring for the change in currency. The barmaid seems
lost as she starts handing him drink after drink. Laughing
lightly as he slams back each one. He then notices how one woman
in particular seemed to be paying him extra attention. Sliding
away the remaining drinks he then begins to walk up next to her,
dismissing everyone that had been gathering around him.
He then sits down next to her. "Hey. You seem neater than these
other losers. You don't dance much hmm?" He then shrugs, leaning
back ino his chair. "Well, that's alright, wasn't much a dancer
myself. Can I get ya a drink?" He said smiling, his bright
emerald eyes scanning up and down her body with a soft grin.
Noting how different she looked from everyone else made him very
curious.

She was a little surprised at the fact that the blonde ignored
everyone else he chatted with for her. But he had asked her
questions and she felt a bit obliged to answer. Her voice was a
little raspy, and she sounded a lot older than she looked when
she spoke to the man that sat next to her. "I don't dance
because I scare everyone on the floor A, and B, I've never been
asked to dance either." She throws as small smirk at him as her
hand wraps around the glass that the bartender sets in front of
her. "And no need for a drink. I've already got one."
She licks her lips and then takes a sip of her drink. A large,
but kind of scary smile falls on her face. But if one were to
look. She really was smiling. Not plotting someones death or
something. The girls that were coming in to surround the blonde
again stepped back and looked a little scared. At that Marin
turned and stared at the counter. "You're girls are a little
scared of me.. you should probably go." She looked downtrodden
at even the idea of him leaving, but she wasn't going to hold
him to her. He'd at least been nice enough to acknowledge her.
That's the good thing. She could live with him leaving now.

Soul's smile only widened when she used her voice, she already
sounded interesting. "Now that is unfortunate. Even I had to
have that one dance, even if it was pretty bad on my part. But,
after a while I got used to it. I only meant I could never find
a partner I thoroughly enjoyed." He shrugs lightly, a small
smirk playing his lips. Noticing her drink he only laughs and
waves his right hand, beckoning the barmaid for another round of
his favorite drinks. Upon getting them he then notices the other
women slowly surrounding him and he sighs, winking quickly to
Marin before turning to face them. "Sorry loves, I'm taken
already." He then tilts his head back towards Marin, a smooth
lie to get them to leave him alone for a few more moments.
Smirking as they turn away, as if being slapped.
Turning back to Marin he nods with a big smile. "And just like
that, problem solved. It also seems I've made myself available
for a good amount of time." He smiles as he then clinks the
first of his drinks with Marin's before he expertly downs each
shot glass, slamming them back down onto the table before
chuckling. "Tell ya what, let's get to know a little bit about
each other. If you like me, maybe I could clear the dance floor
for just me and you?" He says winking once more. Soul then bows
his head gently and extends his hand out for her to shake. "My
name's Soul." His beautiful emerald eyes scanning over her
peculiar features, each one only enticed him in further, his
inquisitive mind never at ease.

Marin looked at him, with a little bit of surprise. Her over
other girls? What, did he really just want to be alone and was
using her? But she couldn't help that little blush on her face
when he said that he would clear the dance floor for her. Like
he wanted to be in her presence for some other reason. She bit
her lip. "Soul?" Her raspy voice wrapped around the word as a
small chuckle passed by her thin lips. She took his hand and
shook it. "You can call me Marin. Since so few people even seem
to want to know my name in the first place." She smirked a bit
at him. Trying to hide the fact that it actually kind of bugged
her. But in the back of her mind she kept telling herself not to
take this whole encounter to heart. He was probably going to
ignore her the next time he saw her. If he even remembered
talking to her with how damn slammed he was.
"Slow it down on the drinks a bit hun." She tried a joke,
probably going to sound like a bit of a Debbie downer, "Or you
might catch on fire from all the alcohol you've saturated into
your system." Well.. that was stupid. She blushed a bit, she
only hoped it he laughed it was at the joke and not her. "I
mean.. I wonder what you're like when you aren't... so drunk."
And probably high, "But you have to get to know every side of a
person hmm?" She fidgeted with one of the bows on her dress,
making sure it was sitting right.
"But... if you want to know about me.. there's not a lot to
know... I know very little about my life anyways... They say I
was 17 when I got into an accident.. But I don't remember
anything before... " she pointed to her metal covered eye.
"this." She looked at him. Wondering how he'd react. Would he
say 'Oh you poor thing?' or tell her 'Cool story brah..' and
move on. Maybe he would surprise her. But she doubted it.

He seemed to be smiling softly as he listened to her words, his
lips then curving down into a frown. "You genuinely think you're
unimportant? But why, you're the most exotic person here. When I
saw that eye of yours I knew you had a story. Something new in a
boring world." He then smirked knowingly, she thought he was
drunk? She had no idea and this made him chuckle. "Now for my
own little disclosure, I may look trashed, but watch this." He
shivers lightly, taking a deep breath inward. His eyes were now
2 colors. The left eye green and the right eye blue. With one
gentle puff he exhales a very faint blue hued cloud from his
lips. Creating a cloud that quickly disperses when someone
walked through it, they themselves appeared completely sober as
they went through. Yet when the man finally passed through the
gas he suddenly looked shocked, and the brief moment after that
he seemed to be incredibly highly intoxicated. The man then
blacks out and passes out. "I can purge my body of all sorts of
nasty things." He says with a laugh. "I have to admit though, I
DO like your humor. I think I'll probably keep it down though,
you're right. I shouldn't make a bad first impression right?" He
then begins to gaze into her eyes, particularly the mechanical
one. His curiosity peaked when he heard her speak of her own
past. "Looks like some pretty serious damage, might even
implicate deeper issues. You're one tough woman, taking it all
on with an uncaring stride." He then nods once at her before
leaning his head back, wrapping his hands behind his head as his
jacket parts once more, his bare chest not covered at all
anymore. "You really shouldn't be so hard on yourself though, or
maybe it's me your concerned about and don't wanna say it?" He
shrugs and smirks down at her knowingly. "Smart, for all you
know I'm a serial murder and rapist. But, information for
information. I'm actually a divine being." He points up,
motioning towards the sky past the ceiling. "I don't remember
much before my coming here, but I do know that I was stripped of
my wings, thrown down to earth, and every now and then I'll find
someone who seems to know something about me, but they keep
calling me Fa'len." He sighs and shakes his head. "That is a
word meaning Fallen Angel. A mortal-made word combining the
celestial language with that of the mortals. I hate hearing
it... I know deep down that I am still pure. Yet I don't
remember what happened or why... What I do know is that alcohol
and drugs numb the pain. I suppose it may have been weakness
that drove me from His graces..." He sighs and shrugs it off.
"That can't be it..." He then waves his hand to the bar-maid,
this time only requesting a single drink in a normal glass, not
knowing the names of what he was drinking, having only asked for
whatever was the night's drink of choice. He now sips it
lightly, raising his glass slowly. "Only one. I promise." He
smiles happily to her.

We'll that was a bit of a surprise. He did exceed expectations..
though he was a little wrong with the uncaring stride thing. Oh
well. She might correct him later.. He didn't need to know
everything about her. She looked at him like she'd just seen and
heard something that made no sense. Because none of it did!
"Did someone slip a drug into my drink or am I dreaming because
that right there..." She said pointing to the man passed out on
the floor, "Could neeevver happen..." Furrowing her brows she
looked at him. "Are you crazy? An Angel.. You think I'm going to
believe that?" Her eyebrows raised. "I'm not some slut out to
try and get some with something exotic." She actually looked a
little angry now and her fingers were stressing white against
her glass. "I'm not going to be taken for some foolish girl,
falling for the first guy who even pretends to notice her!" Her
voice raised up a little too loud and the crowd around them
quieted down and looked at her. She blushed and looked down at
the floor. "B.. Besides! Th.. there's no proof.. I mean.. you
can't..." But she was already winding down. And cooling off. She
looked at him up and down. She was a cyborg herself. She
shouldn't even be in existence. But someone paid good money for
her, and now she's here, talking to this lunatic that seems to
think he's an Angel. Not that he doesn't look good. But, if that
was a pick up line, it was a bad one.
She looked him over again and again. What if he wasn't lying?
What if, she entertain, he wasn't lying to her and she was
sitting here talking to an Angel? Was he really a fa'len.. like
he said. And if so, which Angel had he been. She bit her lip and
looked away from him again. She was lucky she'd controlled
herself enough to not break the glass. Would have had to pay for
it. She sighed. Was this guy going to stick to his story?

Soul had initially expected her to believe him but quickly
remembered that nobody should ever do that to anyone of any
caliber, he knew he'd have to prove himself so she'd take him
seriously. He smirked as she remarked about his ability to
exhale all of the intoxicants out of his body and into
another's. Soul then felt almost caught off guard when she spoke
as if he was trying to seduce her. Soul only chuckles as he
shakes his head, raising his hands and waving them side to side,
denoting that she may have been missing the point. "No. You must
been misreading me. I swear, I'm not trying to collect a sexual
experience. I thought I was being friendly. Besides, I wouldn't
expect one as interesting as you to fall for something so
easily." He then smirks as he shugs and leans back in his chair.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better I didn't pretend to
notice you. You genuinely caught my eye. As for proof. There
is..." He sighs lightly as he leans forward, resting on his
elbows on the table. "Well... When I fell, I remember my wings
burning on the descent. I still have the stumps but they still
burn me and they remind me that deep down I'm broken..." He then
shivers once more as he then rests his right hand on her's, they
were suddenly teleported on to the roof of the establishment.
Looking up into the moon he sighs once more, letting go of her
hand.
He then looks back to her. "Don't freak out. We're just above
the club, the door back down is right there." He says pointing
to a door leading to the stairwell that lead back into the club.
He then slides off the shoulders of his trench off his own
shoulders, letting it slide down his body he reveals more of his
perfectly sculpted body. Yet on his back were the tattoos of two
torn apart stubs of wings, they seemed to be scorched. As the
moonlight hit the tattoo it seemed to come to life. Pure white
stubs now ripped from his back, the ends of them seemed to be
still smoking lightly releasing very small plumes of smoke. He
then pulled the trench coat back over his body, a heavy sigh
escaping from his lips as he does so. "When an angel loses his
wings he loses his pride, his joy... It's like depriving a human
oxygen. It hurts that much..." He says absently before looking
back to her. "Sorry, but I had to show you that Angels are real
and we DO feel... We also die..." He shakes his head and smirks
at her. "Do you believe me now? Again, I'm sorry for so rudely
bringing you here." He then looks back up to the night sky with
a smile. "Beautiful night though, isn't it?"

Marin looked at him and wanted to laugh. This guy was straight
up telling her he wasn't hitting on her. When he sent those
girls away. Was that not a bit of flirting. But.. At least he
thought she wasn't a easy catch. She blushed at that, and then
blushed a bit more as he closed in. What.. what was he doing?
She bit her lip and looked at his hand until all of a sudden she
was outside. Wait.. what?! She looked around and stepped away
from him. Nervous as fuck. He has GOT to be messing with her.
But that was her sky and her moon. She looked at it for a moment
until his voice made her turn to look at him.
Her eyes widened as she saw his tattoo's came to life. She
walked forward, she wanted to touch them, to make them feel
better. She blushed though when he covered himself back up and
instantly moved her hand to her chest before he could see she'd
been wanting to sooth his pain. She bit her lip looking at him
with understanding. She looked at the sky again, walking to him,
next to him and took his hand. Her raspy voice coming out but
she wasn't looking at him, "I was only told of my name when I
woke up in the hospital bed, and when they finally showed me
what I looked like... I was angry, angry at them for making me
inhuman. I didn't even know why, but I'd had a life before, and
they made me forget about it, because some rich guy said that it
was okay.. They haven't shown themselves to me. Only spoke to me
through their damn butlers. But I'm sick and tired of being his
damn toy. He knows something about my past and I want to know
what it is." Her grip on his hand got tighter. "I'm sick of
being in the dark about things that are real.. So thank you..
For showing me who you really are." She turned to him and gave
him the smallest smile.

Soul's relatively sad demeanor changed slightly when she clasped
his hand. His cheeks just barely becoming red as he gazes up
into the moon with her. Hearing words of her past and her
opening up definitely made him feel better. His long blond hair
seemed to now have silvery highlights running down the length.
The highlights seemed to be the same color as the moon, it's
essence combining to his. He then nods once and looks back down
to her with a smile. "Funny, when I looked at you I didn't feel
like you were any different than any other woman there. You just
had different experiences in life, some worse than most. So you
can't find them directly then hmm? Perhaps I could help. I mean,
I have no idea of whom you are talking about but I could always
try to search for answers. I have my own wiles and tricks." He
says smiling happily down to her.
He then shivers as he slowly slides the shoulders of his coat of
his shoulders once more, letting it rest on his arms. Once more
the tattoo on his back slowly begins to rip from his body into
those two smoldering stumps. Soul winces as he does this. "Do...
Do they look bad? It still burns so much... Like I'm still
falling..." A tear drops from his right eye, the blue one.
Looking down at it as it lands on the back of his right hand.
"Weird... Something deep inside me just feels so much sadness,
like it's crying deep down. I'm always in constant pain... Now
do you understand why I always had a drink in my hand? I can't
stop the pain..." He sighs, looking down to the ground, no more
tears falling. He then looks back to her and nods. "Sometimes to
light up the dark, you need to find a little light yourself." He
says smiling genuinely for her, trying to lighten up the mood
from the depressing talk about their pasts.
