Moonlight Meeting
By: Elin Date: October 4, 2015, 12:57 am
---------------------------------------------------------
((Fumi feels relaxed and slightly adventurous at this time,
curious most of all.))
With a soft warble in the sky, a distortion among reality that
slowly peeled open like a gash within the world, smoke slowly
slithered through as if it were the night's clouds itself.
Turning and winding, serpentine in its movements that directed
themselves upon the rooftop of a desolate building, it stopped
all at once and slowly cycloned about itself to rise and congeal
until left in its wake was a solitary female figure.
Breathing out quietly and gently as her mortal lungs filled with
crisp autumn air, her pale eyelids slowly opened and a pair of
crimson-shaded hues looked about dreamily from behind the soft
curtains of black lashes. The remaining smoke she'd appeared
from dissipated after hugging tightly to her body, leaving her
in a simple black gown that hung far too high against her
thighs. Looking like a girl fresh out of bed, the raven-haired
beauty stretched her small arms high above her head while
feeling all of her lazy limbs come back to life before smiling
and sighing happily. Fumi had been entertained within Urdroxa's
abode for a while, but even she wanted a change of pace every
now and then and if it meant she had to sneak off
sometimes...well, so be it.~
With her bare feet padding along the cold stone underfoot, Fumi
approached the looming edge of the decrepit building to peek
over at the ground looming far below. The city was clearly
empty, lightless and dark with its buildings showing signs of
wear; abandoned possibly in its past from an event of mass
destruction that left its mark in many craters and broken
buildings. Seeming almost disappointed in the lack of life, she
cast her gaze upwards towards the brilliant glow of the moon
whose sight never ceased to awaken hunger within her and she
leaned against the edge all too close until she was resting on
the very tops of her knees with a hand softly outstretched
towards the massive luminescent orb in the sky. "Another boring
place...but at least you're always here.~"

The area had been dimly illuminated by the moon, the area's
decay evident in the structural integrity. This was an area of
interest. A 6 foot 6 man had been walking casually along, his
body covered tightly in a black tuxedo. His short black hair was
slicked back and spiked. His eyes were cold and cunning, as if
an ex con or a seasoned thief. The right side of his face bore
three large scratches that healed over into a scar. At his waist
were two weapons. At his left hip a holster with a jet black
magnum whose barrel was easily a foot long and was covered in
beautiful silver filigree. At his right hip was a long black
sheathed katana. Silvery linens covered it the exterior of the
sheath that kept it at his waist. Under his lips lit a
cigarette, taking light puffs as he kept it in his mouth. He
then seems to look around in astonishment, as if not realizing
where he was and that he had walked here himself. "Hmm..." He
then looked down to his hands and noticed the elegant cuffs and
obsidian cufflinks. "The Black Sun... Now this is
interesting..." He then notices the sun insignia carved into the
cufflinks and smirks. "So there are no fevered ones here... Good
thing, Blood Moons are so drawn out anyway." He says shrugging
before pulling a small flask from his pocket and drinking a
peculiar hued liquid that shone in different lights when shone
in moonlight. He sighs, capping it back before tucking it away.
"Well... What's this?" He says closing his eyes and smirking,
hearing soft breaths coming closer. "So The Black Sun doesn't
mean lack of life... Very interesting..." He says pushing his
back to a wall, his face peaking past the corner to see if she
was still coming in this direction. "I need to learn more..." He
muttered to himself.

Fumi could have looked upon the silver complexion of the moon
all night, but then she'd waste her precious time here in the
earthen realm. So with a soft huff, her form that tittered so
easily on the verge of falling slowly dipped forward as if there
wasn't a care in the world. Plunging from the building filled
her with a moment of exhilaration; the way the wind whistled as
it whipped strands of her fine hair past her face, the bite of
air against her skin, and the soft falling she felt in her
stomach and halfway down her fall, she felt a soft and urging
calm all hitting her at once. Closing her eyes, her mortality so
fragile and vulnerable...it filled her with a sense of something
humble until all at once she dissipated, strands of black
meeting with the darkened shadows of the ground in a loving
embrace that slithered slowly before wrenching themselves back
together into solidity, leaving the windblown and breathless
beauty upon the ground.
Her feelings and sensations settled and left her with a ghost of
a smile on her lips. Had she not met Urdroxa, she probably
couldn't have even experienced all these things that she did
now, she'd just be sleeping in a never-ending void with a rest
just as perpetual, but now she was living and feeling just as
any mortal could have. Rising up from the ground, her height and
attire made her seem laughably small, but the pallor of her skin
and the ghostly brightness of her eyes made it obvious she was
something entirely different than just a small and vulnerable
woman.
Fumi had been content to possibly wander the barren wasteland
had something not caught her eye first. A faint shimmer, a
colorful glimmer and a figure she could now make out in the
dark. With a tilt of her head, the dark strands of her hair
covering bits of her face in the movement as she noticed the
male, the spot she stood in soon grew vacant with a small drop
of smoke taking its place before suddenly reforming in front of
him, all too close as she hadn't quit learned yet how to respect
personal boundaries. In the darkness of the shadows, she seemed
to peel from them herself and her eyes glowed with a brightness
that was only matched by her smile. "Ah, I didn't know anyone
was here!"

His eyes had been looking down to the ground, trying to get a
feel for this world, there seemed to be no life yet he felt a
heartbeat. Not from a physical heart, but from the energy of the
woman. When she appeared directly in front of him his eyes
widened as he suddenly had to readjust them to her closeness,
his teeth grit as he took a step back, his right hand dropping
down half way as if to grip the hilt of his blade yet stopped as
he saw she was no threat. At first he was caught off guard, not
being able to register her for a moment as he then smirked and
nodded. "So she utilizes darkness. Does not register weaponry
into threat detection, may be due to confidence in her own
ability. Or is simply... Naive." He says absently, as if
creating a data entry into some imagination database. His eyes
then snapped to her, as if what he said aloud was perfectly
normal. His arms then relax as he decides she is not a threat,
in fact, seemed to be more apt to play the victim role.
He then chuckled lightly to himself, his voice was humanlike,
rife with emotion, yet when he spat out the systematic
observation his voice drained of tone. He now spoke with that
same young yet experienced sounding voice he used normally.
"Sorry." He taps his left pointer finger onto his temple. "My
brain is like an encyclopedia of knowledge, when I find
something new, it's immediately cataloged. My name is Nova, nice
to meet you." He then looks around, noting the absence of life
aside from the two of them. If Fumi were to be specially
observant she would notice that along the few scars along the
right side of his face were very small lettering and numbering.
'Project: Paradox. 001.' His eyes were an icy blue, a bone
chilling combination with his unnerving stare. It could pierce
the resolve of any warrior, it simply irradiated determination
and cruel intent. Yet his voice belied his facial features and
gave him a more boyish appeal.

Her furrowed brow showed her obvious confusion, but it was quick
to snap back in to place as she sank right back into the simple
joy of having company. "Nova?" The word was familiar with her
and she sorted through the vocabulary she'd taken from Urdroxa's
mind the first time they'd met and it easily could have been the
last. "Ah...a phenomena in space! Very interesting." Fumi backed
off from him slightly to stand back at the foot of the alleyway,
quick and energetic in her movements as she lightly hopped on
the balls of her feet while looking out into the broken city.
"My name is Fumi. When I first learned the language of this
world, I took the Latin word that resembled my form...which I
also took from the language I had learned."
Tossing her head to the side to look at him over her shoulder,
she sent her hair disarray and the strands floated briefly, the
ends smoky before solidifying as she looked him over with a
questioning gaze. "You're very...peculiar." Turning on her
heels, she approached him all too closely once more, pressing
into the front of his body with her own as she furrowed her
brow. "Very tall, I cannot even match your height!" Being so
close wasn't something foreign for her and if anything, she felt
comfort in any warmth of touch she could receive. Being too cold
an too alone reminded her too vividly of the darkness and
loneliness of the void... Yet being this close, she was also
able to notice the strange scarring of his face and she tilted
her head while standing upwards on her tiptoes. "These markings
are also very strange, I've never seen something like this
before. What are they? I mean, I know they are scars, the
knowledge I've obtained tells me that, but why do they appear so
differently?"

He looked at her with his brow raised in confusion. Her words
then intrigued him more, she was peculiar, a very smart
encounter. Instead of documenting warlike beasts he was studying
an astute one similar to himself. Yet this was unnerving, she
was no longer human in his eyes, she was definitely a creature
to him now. "Yes, I believe that is where my name came from.
Funny considering..." He says shrugging lightly, rolling his
eyes a little. His eyes then seem to sharpen on her, his stare
becoming more of a glare now as she mentions his scars. "Well...
They are more markings than scars. Implanted to make sure I
could be caught and prodded for whatever knowledge I had
gathered... A slight inconvenience I could do without. I do not
like to be caught." He says with irritation deeply into his
voice. His right hand goes to his tie and he loosens it greatly.
No longer caring that his suit was in slight disarray.
"One could say you were strange, you are clearly not human, nor
are you anything that belongs here. Do not take offense to this,
as it is just merely an observation." He says trying to get away
from the subject of the markings and what they meant. "An
Aberration with a consciousness. Yet such a complex one that
merits something greater..." He chuckles and shakes his head.
Taking the same flask, which now was clear that it was silver.
And then uncapped and sipped a very familiar rainbow hued
liquid. A faint fruity smell wafting from the nozzle. He then
looks down and shakes it, hearing the liquid sloshing around
indicating maybe a quarter volume was left. "Well, it's not
much, but you can have a sip of this if you'd like. It's
something I was turned onto a while back..." He says offering
her the flask. "I don't have much, aside from my weapons and my
clothes, that I can offer you. Unless of course you have any
more questions for me. I myself am abuzz with a few for you." He
says thoughtfully, clearly his mind was full.

"Hmm..." Fumi pondered what he'd said for a moment or two; it
was true what he had said about her not being human, but that
did leave her pondering her existence as she already had been of
late. "Well, you are correct about that. In a way." Stepping
back from him, Fumi politely declined his offer of drink as
she'd been the type to do, the only liquid she'd ingested being
the strange drink that had placed her into such a troubling
sleep...
"I am not entirely human as you can tell. I don't possess much
of the attributes humans from this world do in terms of
knowledge and understanding..." A light frown permeated her lips
and she carefully spun to his side to lean against the wall with
a huff as she pondered. "But I fully possess the mortal form of
one. I'm entirely human in flesh when I am like this, I possess
the warmth, the heartbeat, the pulse, the vulnerability..." Her
hand was soft as it traced along her chest and rested above her
breast where she could feel the steady and hearty heartbeat
beneath the skin. "Yet I am not entirely human and I do not
possess any prior memories of my awakening." Dropping her hand,
she quickly lightened up with a soft laugh permeating her lips.
"A perturbing existence!"
Spinning away once more, Fumi walked past the entrance of the
alleyway to bathe in the light of the moon once again, her pale
skin so bright and vivid it could almost hurt to look at. "So
then, Nova, you too are not human yes? What are you and what
questions do you have for me? I certainly have the time until
dawn to indulge in your company, it's much more refreshing than
the quiet of this place."

His glare seemed to drift to the ground beneath them, a chord
being struck within him when she spoke of herself. "... An
energy form given a shell... This shell vibrates on the same
frequency as light..." Once more his words became almost
robotic, sounding off it's brief observations. "Drawing from the
shadows you can solidify yourself, creating your own shell where
your given one has... given out..." His eyes dart side to side,
from her feet then to the building material a few feet away. His
eyes widen slightly as he shakes his head, stopping himself from
revealing more of his thoughts. "Sorry, some things are best
thought aloud, helps me make sense of them." He sighs lightly
and then nods with a smirk.
"You've already answered my questions. I typically don't have to
ask any if given a few moments of dedicated study..." He looks
down to his hands and shrugs. "You're not the only one in that
boat, cept I literally do not have any memory than those I have
created. In some sense I am a child, I have not existed for
longer than 1 year." He starts chuckling at his revelation.
Having the body of a 24 year old yet the mental complexity of an
elder. He then sighs and his hard glare stares back up at her.
Almost as if he was constantly angry or always thinking about
something that bothered him on a very deep level, at the very
least he looked troubled. "My company is nearly nonexistent and
I wouldn't get too close to me personally, I am apt to surprise
you." He says looking down once more at his hands, his eyes
revealing that the majority of his agony came from himself or at
least it could be perceived that way. "I was told I was created
in a lab. An experiment. A petty attempt to control the
uncontrollably chaotic." He sighs once more, his glare seems to
falter as his eyes tear up. Yet the tears get nowhere as they
burn away into steam. "I would like you to keep that information
secret. I've put a great distance between myself and them. I am
also seeking someone. I do not know you enough to tell you my
goal and who I am looking for. Yet I do know that who I am
looking for would find you as interesting as I do." He then
walks past her from out of the alley before looking back up at
the moon. "I do know one thing, I won't rest until I find
him..." His fists clench tightly at his waist, the gun and blade
seem to hum lightly.

"A year huh?" Fumi tapped her chin thoughtfully as she
considered the time she'd been living outside of the void. "I
think perhaps I've been living for maybe...a week or so? I find
time very difficult to tell in the realm I usually stay.
Truthfully I'd tell it easier if I stayed here in an earthen
realm, but I do so hate sleeping once day hits...Inside of the
place I came from though, I feel I may have been living much
longer." She smiled brightly with closed eyes as she steepled
her fingers lightly beneath her chin. "But who knows!"
Fumi followed behind the only company she held in this desolate
place despite his harsh exterior and abrasive attitude. She felt
an inability to directly dislike anyone she'd met at this point,
given they'd never provided much of a reason for her to distaste
their presence, and this man was truly no different. Odd,
strangely robotic, and calculating...but he didn't seem cruel or
mean by any means. Besides, Fumi had met her share of strange
beings in the small while she'd been actively living. Briefly
her memories flashed from Urdroxa to Pain and she caught herself
blushing at the idea of seeing either one of them at the time.
When he stopped to lament, Fumi lightly tucked her arms behind
her back to clasp her hands together gently, tilting her head as
she observed him curiously until her excited smile appeared once
more. "You're very serious, you know? I hope when you find this
person, you learn to enjoy your time a little bit more." Turning
her gaze gently towards the sky, the white orb illuminated in
the crimson pools of her eyes, she spoke in a soft and relaxed
tone as she re-accounted her first day she'd spent in both the
world and in Urdroxa's company. "Hurrying so much and not
enjoying your time...it feels like a waste to me. Things in this
world pass by so quickly."

He smirks as she tries to cheer him up but something about him
seems to not let him relax. "It's... Hard to explain." He then
paused, and looked puzzled. He then looked down to his magnum
and sighed longingly. As if recalling some fond memory. "Maybe
it's just this body, but I will not relax... I refuse." He then
nods once and smirks, a sinister plan on his mind. He then
circles out in front of her and tilted his head. "Someone once
told me a very peculiar phrase, and it's meaning has eluded me
for a long time, but bit by bit it's starting to make sense..."
He stands maybe 5 feet from her and with a wicked tooth bearing
grin he grips the handle of his huge magnum revolver and points
it directly at her, it's huge barrel stretched a foot long and
with his arm span the barrel was very close to Fumi's face.
"Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" His
smile broadens as he now places the nozzle of the barrel onto
his left temple and pulls the trigger, the right side of his
head erupting in red mass. With a sadistic pleased grin he
slowly falls backward and slumps to the ground dead.
The blood gushing from his temples and seemed to pool around
him. Yet the blood seemed to pulse with live, as if humming with
the same frequency as his weapons. The blood seemed to bubble
and amorphous tendrils slowly rise and begin to wrap his body.
As his whole body became covered features began to take shape,
over his face was an Oni Mask, blood red with yellow eyes. His
body began to define features, a loosely covered man, as the
blood touched his body it became blood red silks. The pool of
blood seemed to become reabsorbed into his body and playful
chuckling could be heard from under his mask. "Damn, I always
get a headache when he forces transformation. You'll have to
excuse him, he's much more goal oriented and literally can't
relax. His body won't let him. Long story..." Nova then sits up
and as he does so his short black spikey hair drapes down into
long blood red layered locks. He raises his knees and stands
before her, bowing deeply and as he raises he slowly slides his
mask off his face. Revealing a very soft and caring young man,
he seemed to be purely carefree and calm. His lightly tanned
flesh seemed healthy and full. His eyes were a ruby red yet
weren't intimidating in the least with the way he always seemed
to be smiling. "Still Nova, but I'm a more... Approachable
variant." He says chuckling, holding his hand out for her to
shake and was ready to answer any questions, especially if she
had any pertaining to the morbid way he 'changed'.
