       The City of Dreams
By: UrdroxasReturn Date: September 28, 2015, 7:05 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It was nearing midnight, the starry sky brilliantly lighting up
the city. The residents, having admired the stars for centuries,
have shut their city lights down to a faint glimmer so that the
man-made lights would not drown out the natural. This way the
sky was always lit up and the city constantly covered in a
luminous glow. Just as in the day time, the night life was
sprawling, bustling crowds moving to and from buildings of grand
architectural marvels. Huge arcs, massive pedestrian bridges
lined with shops, since cars were not used at night. The whole
of it seemed lively indeed, each resident's energy pulsing
lively. he mixed species mingling effortlessly, from brutish yet
civil orcs to the crazed yet tame gnomes. Urdroxa had claimed
this place as his home away from home, for it's pure uniqueness
and reverence for nature and it's natural cycles of light and
day. He was swathed in loose fitting black clothing. His shirt
made of a strange back fabric that seemed to move as he did,
when in reality he had bent shadows into solid matter and
covered himself. His long layered black hair flowed effortlessly
down his back. His horns curved around his head as if a demonic
crown. His eyes, their signature red and blue swirling galaxies
       were always in constant motion.
He stood leaning against a wooden pillar, holding up the
suncover to the entrance to a rather small bar, it was always
empty at this time. His eyes peeked in, having seen that there
are no people inside he shuffles quickly inside. "Heh, perfect.
I can drink in peace..." He sighed lightly as he quickly slid
himself onto a bar stool. Tapping his fingers onto the table the
sole barmaid nods her head, she seemed to be covered in long
cloth wrappings with a single mask covering her face. It had a
genderless jovial smile with red cheeks. Other than the cheeks
it was black and white, simple and plain. She moved into the
dark back room and came back with a goblet filled with a rainbow
hued liquid. Urdroxa only offered a light chuckle before using
the same right hand he used to tap on the counter to swirl his
fingers in the air, his head held up loosely by his left hand.
"Keep em coming hon, just bring me the tap itself and I'll pay
for every drop... With interest if you can keep this place
closed off to the civilians... I need to think..." She nodded
slowly before returning to the darkness and coming back with a
long hose with a nozzle and a button. She sets it by his goblet
before returning to the darkness to await to be called upon. "So
much to remember..." He says taking the pointer finger of his
right hand to swirl the rim of his cup. "Razor... Kayis...
Demonreach... These names ring in my ears and I only remember
one of them..." He slams his fist into the counter and sighs,
sweeping the goblet and tilting his head back and downing the
brilliantly hued liquid, missing his mouth with a lot of it,
staining his neck and chin with color.
His eyes became hazy as he began to chuckle uncontrollably. "At
least this helps quiet the thoughts." He says now clutching his
head and gritting his teeth for several minutes. He takes the
goblet in his left hand and swipes the hose with his right,
pouring the frothing liquid into the goblet before downing it.
Slowly beginning to repeat the process. "These people are too
fragile... Hardly worth dissection..." His thoughts begin to
trail off to his more darker desires. "Ohh... Now theres a
thought..." He said laughing lazily into another gulp.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
A soft sigh escaped Demonreach as he opened the door to the bar,
sapphire-azure eyes searching, finding it empty but a few,
himself now included. It was a beautiful city, he had to admit,
but that wasn't what he came for.
       Besides, he'd seen better.
       Built better.
       Destroyed better.
Instead, his raptor-like gaze fixed upon the figure of his
search. 'Ah. Urdroxa.' His voice was deep, like rolling thunder
       and carried itself as such.
Within the closed space, the cold that radiated from the giant
of a creature seemed to cling to the air; making it sharp and
crisp like winter, the breath misting ever so slightly. The
walls would soon begin to sweat with the prolonged exposure.
Demonreach stood as barely clothed as ever; colorless pants
fitting his form like a second skin; his torso exposed to the
elements. Marble-esque gleamed within the faint lighting of the
place, the red Celtic knot tattoos that swirled around his body
in intricate patterns seemed garish and sinister. Long, slender
fingers brushed back the shoulder-length silver-and-ebony hair
       that hung in straight tendrils.
His was a beauty that drove wars, inspired envy and hurt to look
at; as if his person was too much to comprehend at once. Despite
his somewhat jovial appearance, the curious grin and gleam in
his eye; despite the childlike aura coming off of him, he
dominated a room with ease. Granted, when one was as beautiful
that made angels weep, it was hard to not command any room. Most
were intimidated by his appearance, as large as any giant,
though with lean, hard muscle that threatened to slaw off the
       flesh of his body.
Demonreach took his own seat next to Urdroxa, 'It's been awhile
       brother.'

This place brought her much joy in the short span she'd been
present within it. The small woman's form darted in and out of
its solid existence, appearing and disappearing from spot to
spot within the city. She'd climbed to the highest building tops
with an expression of utter joy, arms outstretched to the
massive galaxy in front of her fingertips; so close, yet so far
away. Then she'd close her eyes, drop from the rooftop with a
pleased expression as she neared the ground, only to hit in a
small explosion of slithering smoke that would simply reappear
       at the next luminous building.
Fumi was an eager customer, that much was obvious as every shop
she'd visited along her swift and thorough search of the area
ended with yet another souvenir in her clutches. Adorned with
the exotic bits of jewelry this land offered, Fumi leapt towards
the rooftop of a rather solitary building, entering through the
small hatches of the ceiling and filtering downwards in strands
of haze. The beauty of quiet was immediately broken as she
reappeared a foot above the bar-top, plopping down loudly with a
delighted laugh as she examined the many jewels adorning her
thin and pale fingers. "Urdroxa, have you seen the way the sky
looks from here!! Also, have you tried the sweets that building
down the street sells? Where do these rocks come from? Why are
they so shiny!!" Her appearance was a bit...lacking in clothing,
for she only wore a simple black dress that cut deep down the
center of her chest, the straps thin, black lines that draped
over her defined collar bones holding the material that draped
just slightly above her knees to her body. Its color was as dark
as the hair that flung carelessly across the bar top, the shade
of black inky in its hue, making her seem all the more pale and
her eyes all the more bright.
Fumi clapped her hands lightly before quieting down immediately
as she realized she'd quite possibly intruded on something. Not
one for social habits and knowledge upon the customs, she simply
held her clasped hands below her chin, kicking one leg over the
other as she perched on the barside, her crimson eyes glimmering
as if they had a flame constantly lit behind them. "Oh, who's
this? You're very pleasant to look at!"

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Urdroxa seemed to stare lazily into the floorboards when the
cold chill flooded the area, his own body temperature had been
fiercely heightened due to the intoxication. His own energies
fighting for control over his being. Creating an invisible orb
around him that repelled the chill, in fact no frost gripped the
ground or his clothing. The contact of heat and cold made him
shiver, not because he felt cold, but the familiar feel to it.
His body endured a similar chill a long time ago, and since his
freedom from the void, he craved any sensations. His mind was
suddenly pierced by flashbacks; war, fights that usually ended
in stalemate and eventually ruptured whole worlds, yet started
as a fight between two people. He clenched his teeth and barely
held back screaming as the flood of information shocked his body
and for brief moments lost control of his energy, the dim light
bulbs reaching peak brightness then shattering. Demonreach's
body would be buffeted by tremendous invisible energy, not an
attack, but a sudden release of energy one would expect to come
from cracking open a long held seal.
His head began to roll and his eyes rolled back into his head,
dark whispers invading his mind. Time seemed to distort to him,
everything slowed down. Then he heard the excited squeels from
someone who so far helped him piece everything back together.
Then she appeared before him, a flurry of questions and
astonishments. He nodded slowly trying to keep up, then she
mentioned the sweets and his eyes snapped back forward in
delight. His mouth gaping open and his tongue gently sticking
out. "Mmm... Her sweet rolls are amazing! Well the rocks-" His
speech not capable of keeping up with her questions. "Well, I'm
glad you find this place as wonderful as I do. You should see
the fireworks, they will show up in a few hours. Imagine
man-made stars that dazzle just a few hundred feet from your
face and then sparkle away into nothing. Truly ephemeral
wonders..." His voice begin to trail off as the man behind him
grew closer and sat down next to them. His eyes closing and his
right canine pierces his lower lip. Without turning away he
smirks and remarks. "He truly is beautiful, isn't he? If I had
not made him my kin, he'd be quite a different experience..." He
mutters chuckling lightly as he looks to his brother.
"Brother... D-... Demonreach..." He seems to struggle with the
words, his mind still just barely coming down from the
informational overload from before. Something within him was
worked up, almost to the point of breaking the host body. Within
him burned two souls, not one. Demonreach's sensitivities would
easily pick up on this. They seemed to be in constant conflict,
yet their signatures were perfectly bonded, capable of things
unimaginable, yet another new surprise about him. His voice
seemed haunted, yet deeply in thought. "I..." He then threw
himself on Demonreach, his arms wrapped tightly around him.
Tears burned his face as he buried his face into Demonreach's
neck. Not capable of mustering any more than that before he
pauses then pushes away from Demon in a huff. "Don't... That
didn't happen..." He said wiping his face with his sleeve, his
eyes watered up pretty badly. His memory having reminded him of
Demonreach's typically serious demeanor. "Sorry, couldn't help
myself... I've missed you..." He then looks back to Fumi and
smiles weakly. "This is Demonreach, someone whom I call a
brother, and of a select few that I truly care about." He smiles
and looks back to Demonreach. "Demon, that's Fumi, she kept me
sane since I awoke... Or rather, we kept each other sane. Quite
an odd individual that one..." He says forcing himself to smile.
Still, his mind haunted him, yet he didn't know why he felt this
way. He just knew he had to be near this man. Yet something
within him wanted nothing more than to tear him apart.

All things taken into consideration, Demonreach chuckled softly
at the presence of the woman; boundless energy it seemed. He
cast an admiring eye towards the woman at her question of who he
       was, growling hungrily within his throat as his eyes wandered;
the predatory gaze feeding off the grace and beauty of the
fairer sex, drinking in everything the woman had to offer. 'As
Urdroxa stated, I am Demonreach; though, while I am appreciative
of the implied offer, brother, my mind is not so inclined.'
That hungry gaze that had affixed the woman's body found her
eyes, as if he was making a point with the fact he had found her
worthy and then some. After a brief few seconds, he looked away,
the impish delight lingering once more within his hues.
While he found it odd the man would embrace him, even shed a
tear, though given the trial he had seen Urdroxa go through with
Razor, Demonreach was not necessarily surprised, 'Fret not,
Urdroxa, for I am ever the rock.'
Demonreach didn't frown so much as his senses picked up the
warring souls within Urdroxa, though his demeanor shifted
slightly in that direction; a few emotions passed though his
eyes, though so fast they weren't easily read. His head bowed
towards the woman, 'Thank you, Fumi, for helping him. He has
always been slightly troubled and it pains me to see him like
this. I am in your debt.'
Feeling Urdroxa's own hunger, the beast that warred within
wanting to escape, Demonreach couldn't help but feel his own
rear up in greeting. He looked askance towards the woman,
pondering where she fit into this scenario.

"It's splendid here!" Fumi exclaimed in delight for the moment
before even she could pick up the changes in atmosphere. True to
her nature, she was heavily immune to knowing how interactions
with others worked on a deeper level considering Urdroxa was the
only being she could remember being close with. Imagine the
surprise of the socially fresh woman when she watched Urdroxa
throw himself into the man beside him, her gaze obviously
widening while she silenced herself and instead tilted her head
in confusion....Even as Urdroxa pulled back and regained his
shaky composure to explain his actions, Fumi understood that she
couldn't exactly understand the depths to these feelings he was
dealing with. So instead, the clueless girl smiled and
dissipated into smoke, the mass of jewels and chains falling
through the smoky tendrils as she reappeared back behind
Urdroxa, lightly wrapping her arms around his neck while
nestling her chin against the top of his head. "A brother,
someone related to you yes?" Gently humming out a breath, she
attempted to comfort him in the only way she really knew how. "I
can see that his presence makes you feel differently than usual,
I will help you with this in any way I can."
Bringing a hand up to gently pet the top of his head, Fumi
leaned her weight into his back as she turned her attention back
to the man who filled her with both delight upon meeting, and a
strange bit of discomfort. Upon entering this realm in the first
place, she could tell when something felt...stronger than its
appearance and this man already looked frightfully strong. "It
is delightful to meet you, you're the...perhaps second being
with whom I've been able to speak to! The people here are not
very talkative...Ah." Feeling herself getting slightly
sidetracked, she giggled quietly and pressed her cheek into the
top of Urdroxa's hair, her gaze locked with interest towards the
statuesque giant. "It was certainly no problem spending this
time with him, ever since I entered this realm, he's been a
great help to me! If it weren't for him...well, I doubt we'd
even be speaking right now at all."
Then, with a light look of curiosity crossing over her
expression, she spoke with a playful suspicion in her words.
"How is it you managed to find each other like this anyways, is
it that sibling bond you people share?"

Urdroxa's shaky calmness reaffirmed he sighed and chuckled
before shrugging. Not being used to feeling fawned over brought
redness to his cheeks. He himself getting used to his own body
was peculiar. His eyes began to sharpen, even though he had
easily consumed enough alcohol to numb him he purged his body of
it's effect and then the determination grew in his eyes, the red
portions of the swirling vortexes within his eyes grew brighter,
while the blue side grew dimmer. His body grew in temperature
not because of intoxication but because of being worked up, his
muscles tensing slightly as she wondered about their connection.
He then chuckled, this time a sinister smirk playing his lips,
his eyes widening slightly. "When two unstoppable forces
collide, times bends, reality tears and paradoxes spread. Time
itself bears witness, and when both refuse to bend, they part
yet are forever ingrained with the other's presence. As if
stained by it's contact..." He begins to speak almost in
riddles, his insanity pulling him over once again into madness.
He then paused, closing his eyes he shivers, releasing another
small pulse of energy outwards from him in all directions,
another seal broken. As his eyes reopen the color of both red
and blue are equally bright now. Heat seems to plume off him for
a few brief moments as his body cools down and his demeanor
slowly creeps from borderline lunacy to perfect serene grace.
"Fumi, you remember how I said that all my life has been
dedicated to slaughter and the pursuit of a worthy foe." He
chuckles and leans his head towards the man sitting next to him.
"He's one of the very few that I could never fully overcome,
every fight we've had ended with worlds collapsing and whole
civilizations down the drain." He says as he holds out his right
hand and turns his thumb downwards. "Yet through it all we've
bonded through each near death experience. Now, to the point
where even the darkest of people grow emotions." He said once
more laughing at his own words. His hands creep up and holds
onto her own. Though the entities within him have settled their
dispute there was still a fierceness to his tone. His smile
broadened as he looked down into his cup. "So... Demon, what has
kept you busy, hm? I could go on for hours about what has
happened to me, but I believe you already caught the jist of
that with Razor. Now, I want to hear your story." He said as his
mind went back to the fights they had and how large they would
       get. Reveling in every moment.

Demonreach looked into the hues of the woman as she spoke,
giving her his attention before speaking, 'We are brothers of
blood shed, of power bled and shared. We are bonded by more than
just birth, as are few others. There is no place I cannot find
this man or those others, or even you now. I have a knack for
finding people; especially those I've met. Everyone has a sort
of signature they give off throughout their lives, one merely
has to know what to look for.'
Breaking off lest he begin rambling, as he was wont to do,
Demonreach bowed his head in acknowledgement of Urdroxa's claims
of their awesome and most primal fights throughout their years
of friendship. 'It is something I would enjoy repeating, given
       the chance.'
Rolling his broad shoulders in a shrug, the giant of a man
seemed to dismiss the questions of his doings though he answered
shortly afterward, the small smile broadening slightly, 'I
cannot say I've been too busy of late, though I've found myself
within the ranks of the Draconian's, and find myself wiling away
my days with the wife. She's perhaps one of the few women I've
met that can sate my near endless appetites.' He glanced at Fumi
for a second or two, as if hinting at something, before staring
off into nothing, chuckling at stray thoughts that crossed his
       mind.

"Your relationships are so very strange." Her tone was
thoughtful and she meant no offense; Fumi hadn't even witnessed
other relationships so her understanding of them was slim as it
was. "You are very strange as well!" Despite the blunt execution
of her words, her tone was casual and pleased while she gave
Urdroxa's head one more nuzzle of boundless affection that ended
as she slid past his neck in her hazy form to reappear, perched
on the tabletop once more with a soft flick of her wrist to
shove away drifting strands of her hair.
Their talks of battle and familiarity brought a soft and
whimsical smile across her lips, her bare understanding of
Urdroxa allowing her to know how much he loved his blood letting
combat. To each their own enjoyments, she supposed. It was
entertaining to see these two together, almost envious in her
nature as she wondered what a bond such as this would feel
like...but to her, she didn't really need it anyways. Urdroxa
was enough for her and then some. That didn't stop the soft and
       subtle longing though...
Fumi's self indulgent ignorance allowed her to pass off
       Demonreach's lingering glances as nothing more than observation;
She'd done similar things when she'd first met Urdroxa, this was
nothing terribly odd and strange for her. Though it was a bit
off-putting... "You two must have known each other for a very
long time then, yes? That must be splendid..."

He shuddered lightly, the soft whispers only heard by him began
to grow louder, the colors in his eyes brightened until his
whole eyes blazed with red and blue swirling colors. Urdroxa
finally stood and chuckled softly as he looked to Demonreach,
those once defeated eyes now burned with a bright determination.
His body suddenly shook with the combined power of three whole
entities. The fierce, swift and potent host. The shell that
carried such powerful defenses it was the host soul. Then there
were two more powerful forces, latched firmly onto the primary
soul and seemed to feed off it. Yet this drain was not parasitic
but instead bounced the energy of the host soul through their
own and then sent it back to the host, which in turned fueled
and bounced back. The cataclysmic levels contained in this never
ending reaction slowly cranked into life. He had one goal, it
was time to resume where they had begun. The other two secondary
souls were larger, one was energetic and fueled by raw anger,
hate, and pure and total anarchy, the other seemed to have grim
resolve, the passion and severity light and absolution. Law and
Chaos finally reached an equilibrium in him. "Fumi... I think
your gonna see why we are so stronger bound..." His breathing
began to deepen as his smile turned into a determined grin.
He then looked to Demonreach. "The people here are souls bound
to me, their husks may shatter but they will be rebuilt. Feel
free to be indiscriminent, but I'm sure they'd appreciate the
consideration..." His voice now boomed. His hands came up to his
chest, he tears open his shirt revealing the 7 orbs embedded
into his chest, each one serving a very specific and powerful
purpose. His fingertips graze over each one as they spring to
life, each one of a different color and seemed to change colors
with time. With their combination to the ever growing aura of
Urdroxa his power skyrocketed. Huge pulses of energy erupted
from him, buffeting the two with overwhelming force, not an
attack, but merely a glimpse of what was contained within. And
with that simple show of force he swiped his right hand away in
front of him, pushing the unnecessary force within and
controlling it. "Let's show her what true fighting is." He then
looks over to Fumi, his eyes alight with passion unseen ever
before to her. His anticipation nearly burning his skin. He then
slowly turned around and began to walk out the door, before he
left he turned his head and said "Well, let's go outside, the
nights about to burst to life with fireworks and I think it'd
tie it all together wonderfully with a nice bow, eh Demon?" He
laughed as he left, looking up into the sky as the smaller
fireworks began to fire off into beautiful shapes and colors,
some even coming to life and dancing in the sky before exploding
into several more colors. Urdroxa finally stood in the center of
the island several dozens of feet away from the bar as he held
out his hands and closing his eyes. His body beginning to start
that same generation of power, black and white lightning
sparking around him. "This is already intoxicating..." He
muttered to himself as he drifted in and out of pure ecstasy.
