Re: A Tactical Move?

Eri could sense that she'd said something that was easily
misconstrued and she sighed lightly at the fact. Rather than let
it pass her by, as she'd let so many unspoken words in her past
be, Eri spoke up. "Do not misunderstand me...Xamphere, I hadn't
even known of your existence until a very long time ago." To
which she gave a pointed look towards Razor, the meanest a face
like hers could muster before continuing. "When we met...a lot
of things had happened before and after. You have to understand;
for me...hundreds of years have passed since we last met. My
memories, my past...everything is lost in my realm over time.
Hundreds of years have gone by for me, while maybe only a few
for you." She lamented as she struggled to form her words
despite not knowing how to explain them herself. "I have no
doubt in my mind that you are my son, nor do I doubt your
relation to me." Eri sighed as if the entire explanation took
too much from her, the only thing really bringing her back being
the pointed tone Razor took with the kids along with the foul
smell of his nicotine stick. "That's a disgusting habit."
It was saddening to hear of the poor children and their
circumstances, her empathy well deserved as she'd experienced
the same timelessness of immortality...but at least she'd gotten
older first. "It's very sweet of you to do that..." Eri could
hardly stand Razor even being in the same room as her; despite
how his appearance had changed and quite possibly even his
attitude, she still felt a foul distaste for him after all the
things they'd been through together. Even she wasn't perfect.
"No need to talk to her like that."
