The Orbital Divide[Demonreach&Xamphere]
By: Maximus Canis Date: September 14, 2015, 12:17 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Xamphere looked to the town from afar; refusing to enter it's
boundaries in fear he would want to stay. His heart ached with
the abandonment of the children, but, they had to be okay. If he
would not put faith in them there was no way they could have
faith for him. "Abandonment fosters self reliance, I
suppose...." He muttered to himself as he held his blade within
his hand. He had come to learn by now that this blade was the
key to his own power. Xamphere's body part of the blade as much
as the blade was part of him. No others able to weild it.
Though, he still had learned why this blade was the key. Only
knowing that it was of great importance.
He was calmly standing on a high tree branch in the middle of
the forest surrounding the village. He slowly closed his eyes
before the blade began to flow with the energy he had been
blessed with. A power that may counter the destruction. From
what he had understood this power was specifically designed to
counter certain breeds of the power he had been cursed with;
Ire. These abilities fighting each other into a weak balance
within his body. He was a time bomb... All this knowledge of the
weakness of his own existence, but, nothing that could fix it in
any way. Only one person could help him. Urdroxa. If he were to
master his own Ire capabilities he knew for a fact the Inversion
Energy fighting it would no longer need to fight.
As all these thoughts spiraled in his mind his eyes finally
opened in a melancholy glace; missing the quiet grace of the
village even more now. This quest was not going to be easy nor
fun. He would be risking his life and those around him... "If I
am to be a god I can not use this power for destruction..." He
looked down to his blade. "To take one soul with this power
would destroy the innocence I am here to protect..." He sighed
as he gave the village one last glance only to drop down from
the branch. Lightly jumping from branch to branch as if he was
weightless. Dead in the center of the jungle.
((Time of day: Dusk. Still day, but, will soon be night.))

For awhile, seemingly eternity within the darkness, Demonreach
watched his target: Xamphere, the boy who would be god of
Razor's Chimera's. His ears twitched at the voice, head cocking
to the side as he pondered the man's words before chuckling to
himself.
As the boy dropped to the ground, Demonreach made himself known;
however, he knew too that it would only be a matter of time
before Xamphere figured it out himself that he was being
stalked.
'What good is power is one cannot use it to protect those they
care about? Is that not why humans struggle for more power? Life
is not so black and white, only lighter and darker shades of
grey. Good and evil are relative; morality is nothing but a
man-made construct to prove themselves better and higher than
those they deem lesser and weaker.
'I've been sent to battle you as well, another test if you
would; but perhaps instead of arms, we could use words. Unless
you'd wish to be both, then I am more than happy to oblige.'
Demonreach bowed his head towards the boy. 'I am Demonreach.'
He revealed himself in all his glory to Xamphere.
Standing easily at eight-foot, Demonreach was a giant of a
creature; broad shoulders though lean with muscle, there was no
ounce of fat upon his body. The marble-like flesh was taut with
that hard muscle that was currently relaxed, at ease though it
was more like a coiled snake awaiting to strike. Red Celtic
tattoos swirled along his flesh in twisted and sharp angles that
almost hurt the eyes to follow.
He wore colorless pants that were made of a thin fabric that
allowed ease of movement despite being loose; Sapphire-azure
eyes watched with a morbid curiosity; the air grabbed his
silver-ebony hair, forcing the tendrils to dance with it. The
air the man gave was rather childlike, as if he knew nothing of
the world, though the grin seemed to mock everyone that looked
at him as if he knew more than they, laughing at some knowledge
they didn't have. Darkness swirled within his eyes, that would
unnerve most men that ran across him.
'Tell Xamphere, do you wish to have power? Do you wish to
protect those children back at that village? I shall help you,
though you may not like the questions or answers; you will have
doubts and you will be angry. You will suffer each day from here
onward. Everything comes at a price. I wonder what yours will
be...'

Xamphere slowly turned as he had heard the creature make his
presence known; as well as his opinions. A cock of his eyebrow
as he listened curiously. Nodding to the invitation to battle;
now completely facing the creature known as Demonreach. A sigh
escaping his lips. This one was far better looking from the last
on the outside, but, his words wounded him. This creature was
sure to have an ugly soul. Though, he did not draw his blade
quite yet. He was, at the very least, interested.
"Morality may be an illusion, but, it is far from irrelivent.
Even a merage(sp) can give you hope.... It is a philosophy even
the most mighty should abide by..." With that he heard the rest
of Demonreach's words; his eyes slowly drifting shut as he
contemplated. Though, once he was finished his eyes opened. He
slowly raised his blade up into the air before stabbing it into
the Earth. Slowly taking a couple steps backwards from the
blade; leaving it equal distance between the two. "You are not
one of Urdroxa's pets. So, tell me, friend. Do you have the
honor to fight with only your hands? Or do you betray those
morals as well? Let's find out."
With that he reached up and adjusted his gloves; pulling them
back tighter on his hands. This is how he would find out whether
friend or foe. His body immediately disappeared in a flash,
though, probably not out of the comprehension of Demonreach's
sences. His body halting in a spin behind Demonreach. His shin
headed straight for the massive creature's skull. He knew this
man probably had one thick skull for his size, but, his body was
no priceless china either. His bone structure would be able to
take the collision with ease.

'Honor? I am the wrong man for that word, but I shall humor
you.'
The man's speed was amazing, but the modified Kuros eyes that
allowed Demonreach to view the world even the darkness by using
air waves, he felt the man's disturbance of the air and reacted
as such.
He ducked ever so slightly that wind from the kick moved his
hair, passing inches from his head; as the leg was over his
head, Demonreach struck with two fingers towards the man's inner
thigh, aiming for the major artery that was located there,
aiming to cause severe bruising. Due to the force of his attack,
should it land, would cause Xamphere to fly up some.
Taking that into consideration, as his body turned upside down,
Demonreach struck with his own foot to strike the boy beneath
his chin. While whiplash was a major concern, also was a snapped
neck. However, to blow would send the boy to the ground with
such force that his body would scorpion. The foot would follow
his opponent to the ground, aiming to crush the man's head into
a bloody pulp.
'A mirage is an illusion, just as honor and morality are. You
are not that illusion, so you must become what your children
need. You must demand respect, instill fear, and require love.
You're power is great and vast any I have faced. You needn't
fear it; you must dominate it. Make it yours. If that sword is
the key, then perhaps you'd best use it for I will end you. As
you said, I am my own man.
'I am Demonreach; I will be your teacher. Fail me, and you die.'

((Since the rp with Urd is set before this one Xam will have
free access to his god form. Just to tell ya for later in the
spar. Didn't really expect him to get it this quick. Though, he
will still be missing a portion of his power. Elements being the
portion.))
Xamphere's own eyes grew wide as he had nearly completely dodged
his kicked as if it was just any blow. Unable to stop the
momentum as the fingers had come up to hit him in the thigh;
sending his body flying much further than intended. It had
seemed as his body was much more light weight when he traveled
so quickly. So, he was able to accidentally avoid the second
kick that surely would have sent him crashing to the earth.
Sending out his right arm as his single, strangely shaped, black
wing shot from his back: halting his momentum.
"Hm..." He looked down to his thigh as he had seen the bruise.
His body resilient enough to avoid any regrettable damage, but,
he still felt the pain. "Good to know..." He spoke plainly as
the matter that built up his body drastically changed; making
him massively heavy. Slamming into the dirt next to his blade;
his feet slamming holes into the dirt for each foot that landed.
"So be it, Demonreach. I could use the challenges..." He spoke
calmly as he nodded in return to his statement of teachings.
Reaching for his blade as he gripped the hilt; pulling it from
the dirt. "Well, then, I shall not disrespect one who claims to
be my teacher."
As he held the blade within his hand he launched forward again;
his feet heavy under the weight of his being as the energy
flowing from his left eye intensified. Appearing as if the eye,
made of Ire, had been slowly opening. His blade erupting in a
flame-like essence of Inverted Energy. This energy able to slice
through matter like butter. Reading himself as the blade shifted
in his hand into three long, free, shape that resembled a whip
formed of interlocking blades. Swinging the, still covered in
energy, whip blade down upon Demonreach.
((Sorry for the slow start. I'm having trouble for this one for
some reason.))

(I wouldn't worry about the slowness, it'll pick up. I'm having
much the same problem.)
His head tilted to the side as the man rushed him with the
whip-like sword, energy crackling around the interlocking
blades.
Due to his height, most thought to get within his reach as to
leave him at a disadvantage, but most didn't survive. Too, they
had to get much closer to him than he they. Still, he took into
account the whipsword and didn't necessarily move back as the
man got within striking distance. No, he stood still, watching
with a grin.
He twisted his hand slightly to create a small gust of wind that
would deflect the sword to the left of Demonreach. As the sword
was covered in Inversion energy, an energy that simply cut
through matter, it would bury itself into the ground and just
keep going. Demonreach had his own version of that energy, which
Razor had encountered not once, but twice; or at least, his two
different types of energy: Raizen and Demi.
While it was different from his own energy, he could feel it;
the malevolence of it, how it was just... hungry. And even
should Xamphere release that energy, the sword would still be
buried within the earth.
As such, the man would be over-extended to the point of tripping
over himself, or that was the hope in any case. His knee would
raise to take the man in the stomach, hard enough to knock the
air from his body if not make him vomit outright. With that
done, he would backhand Xamphere across the side of his head to
send to the earth, giving him a small headache.
