       Villa of Innocence
By: Maximus Canis Date: September 2, 2015, 2:55 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The children scattered around the town; each performing their
chores and tasks. These children were dirty: their clothes torn
up and damaged. These children obviously orphans, but, they
seemed oddly mature for their age. As if they were matured
adults stuck in a child's body. Their ages all varying, but,
never going above what appeared to be 14. All parents or adult
seemed to be gone from the village.
Though, there sat one grown male in the epicenter of the town.
Surrounded by shacks and destroyed, small, homes. This area was
obviously home to a dark past. Even the air had a strange,
tainted, scent to it. Home to a strange toxin that keeps the
body young. Harmless to those who visited, but, to those who
live there... Irreversable. Trapped in the bodies of orphaned
       children.
The man smiled down as a young blonde boy approached him. The
child only seemed to be six years of age. The child twiddling
her fingers as she patiently awaited recognition. Xamphere
letting out a slight chuckle as he eyed the girl. "What is
wrong, dear? Are you hungry?" He spoke with a kind tone. His
hand slipping into his pockets as he pulled out a wrapped
sandwhich. His eyes closing in a kind glance as he held it out.
"But, be sure to share with the younger ones, okay? They can't
       quite hunt yet, after all."
With that the girl smiled up to him and snatched the tasty
snack. Quickly running to a group of very young children while
yelling back to him. "Thank you, Xammy!" Breaking apart and
feeding the food around they all happily devoured the parcel.

The sound of small children filled her ears as her legs carried
her along an unfamiliar path. She had no idea where she was
going, where she was at or why she was going in the particular
direction. What was familiar was the pounding headache that she
had, her fingers moved to rub her temple but came in contact
with a liquid. Discovering the small injury she used the
thickness of her unruly hair to cover the mess for now. While
being unaware of her surroundings, she stumbled upon a small
town full of children except for what looked like one man in the
center. She stopped in her tracks, watching them all carefully
wondering whether or not to continue on or to turn around. With
no idea of what to expect, she stood there watching them, trying
to get a feel for the place before making herself known.

Xamphere had smirked as he had sensed the woman from a distance.
It was the smell of her injury that made her presence so
obvious, though, he did nothing. He knew one of the children
would address the problem before he would. A little boy walking
over to her and tugging upon her shirt. Speaking in a soft,
sweet, tone. "Um... Miss... Why are you hiding?" THe boy looked
up to her with a look of curiosity. "'Cuz if you are a bad guy
you should leave... Xammy doesn't like bad guys..." He said as
he pointed to Xamphere. "He protects us from the bad guys. WHy
don't you meet him?" Without even getting an answer the child
grabbed her wrist and started walking towards the center of
town. Xamphere finally looking over to see the woman; letting
       out a chuckle.

The little boy's voice brought her out of her gazing trance. She
hadn't even noticed him approach. A smile grazed her lips before
her soft voice was heard. "I am not a bad guy. I don't like bad
guys either." A small laugh barely audible leaked into the air
as her eyes wandered back to the man, the center of attention.
The sudden small jerk of her wrist made her stumble a small bit,
but she caught herself and began walking while the small child
held onto her. She doubted she was presentable enough to just be
meeting people, but then again they didn't know much about her
so there was no real reason to keep up appearances.

The Clouds above seem to clear almost immediately, the level of
sunshine and overall energy level of the wildlife around them
increase. Wonderful birds of all colors fly overhead and seem to
gather at one central point at one side of the city. A small
girl seemed to hop and skip out of the brush, a small rainbow
hued lily in her hand, clutched close to her chest, as if
cherishing it carefully as one would a beloved teddybear. Her
skin was as if made of porcelain and seemed just as delicate.
Her soft white gown with black trim flowed well past her knees
as it swayed when she skipped. She suddenly stopped as she
noticed a city in front of her, her eyes awestruck and what
followed was a series of genuine ooo's and ah's as she slowly
began to walk inward. Taking very small and unsure steps as she
looked everywhere, noting the lack of life and luster. "I wonder
what happened here..." Her quiet and incredibly timid voice
whispers. She holds the flower tighter and begins to tear up
until she looks almost shocked as if she heard something and
then looked around. "Yeah... I guess it DOES look vacant..." She
smiles and nods confidently. "You're right! I can't be scared
forever..." She looks flustered and slams her right foot down as
if throwing a tantrum. "I am NOT a baby!" She grunts and swings
her leg out as if to kick but picks up too much momentum for her
to handle and she sweeps her own legs out from under her and
lands on her butt. Her eyes looked jumped once more and she once
more begins to tear up. Just then a small puff of black smoke
flashes in front of her face and her eyes light up and she
swings her hands up and cups them beneath the smoke, a small
individually wrapped candy falls from the cloud into her hands.
With a light squee she quickly unwraps a small pink taffy-like
piece and plops it in. Her eyes close and she lets out a loud
"Mmm!" As she savors it she picks her self up. "Alright... Thank
you Papa!" She smiles as she begins to skip more, merrily
clutching the lily and continuing further into the city.

Xamphere remained seated calmly until a strong presence invaded
his senses. An overpowering presence that caused his vision to
shake and his mind to pound with pain. The sun high in the sky
seeming to intensify with every passing moment; making it all
the worse. He quickly clenched his fists as he attempted to
fight off the pain. His own power turning against him and
wanting to claw out from his body. Needing to escape in order to
follow the source of the intense power. Barely able to hold it
back he quickly stood up from his chair; his red cloak flowing
behind him as he ran his fingers through his red hair. Letting
out a slight groan as his body began to adapt to the pain:
forcing it to subside within him.
His appearance was that of luxury. His body flawlessly clean and
maintained along with his clothes. Everything down to his
earrings were glimmering with a sense of pride and dignity. His
long red cloak, open in the front, hung down to the back of his
ankles. Two large boots hugging up his legs as his eyes
glistened a scarlet; outline by a gold ring around the pupil.
Though, his face seemed to have a tint of youth; almost a bit
effeminate. Under his cloak was just a simple black uniform,
though, this was rarely seen. His body mostly covered by the
       jacket like cloak.
With the pain now gone he looks back to the new woman and the
little boy; faking a smile. He slowly walked over to them as he
knelt down onto one knee in front of the boy. Running his hand
through the boys hair with ease before speaking in a calm, but,
still slightly pained tone. "Now, Lucia. What did I tell you
about talking to strangers? Just because she's pretty doesn't
mean you can trust her." With that he looked up to the woman
with a kind smile: slowly standing up in front of her. His eyes
drifting towards the gash on her head that she attempted to
hide. A slight chuckle escaping his lips. "Sorry. Nothing
personal. Just can't trust everybody you just meet." He took a
step closer; not caring if he invader her comfort zone. His
gloved hand reaching up and moving her hair: revealing the gash.
"You know, I am sure I can fix that if you are okay with that."
With that his hand dropped and pulled back a bit; not wanting to
       scare the woman away.
Though, he attempted to be civil the strong presence still
stacked against him; pulling on his own power. It was clear it
was not this woman who was pulling on him so. There was a wild
card somewhere in the deck and he needed to know what it was. It
was strange: almost familiar. As if him and this new presence
were one in the same. Kin of the same power or origin. He could
only assuming this energy had the same pull. So, he saw no point
in checking it out. If he would not find them; they would surely
find him. One way or the other his questions would be answered.

Her eyes watched the man approach, every movement made her eyes
seen. She learned the hard way to always be aware of her
surroundings no matter how things may seem. Her small 5 foot 6
frame went rigid as the man approached not knowing what to
expect, although the boy said he was there protector. Absent
mindedly she stepped back as his hand reached towards her, more
so to the injury that was hidden beneath the brunette curly
locks. "I completely understand, but im not here to cause any
harm.." Her voice was soft and timid. Her body trembled ever so
slightly as he brushed away the hair revealing the gash that
she'd been hiding. Nothing was to her knowledge, she didnt know
how bad the injury was or how it even got there. Small amount
of memory loss was probably due to the unexplained injury. "I..
i guess that would be alright." She despised feeling small and
scared but she was too clueless to do much of anything right
now. The place seemed safe enough anyway, at least with all the
       children around.
Her eyes momentarily left the man to gaze around the landscape
once more before finally resting back on the red headed man. It
seemed as if someone else has joined in but she didnt see
anyone. Not right now at least.

The little girl's eyes, whose small stature barely broke 4 feet,
began to glow golden as her face snaps to the location of all
the life, her eyes wide as she holds out the flower, talking to
it quietly. "I think I've found some friends, Papa!" She squeels
with joy, her pace picking up as she skips faster. She finds
herself hiding behind a corner of a building, her eyes setting
on the two before her. She studies the two, one seemed to be
female, the other, male. The flower in her hands begins to shine
lightly, it produced a shimmering white light, gentle yet
apparent. It's purpose was to shine in the presence of those who
were related to a certain dynasty. She nods before slowly taking
steps back. "Papa... He's scary..." She says looking at the
flower's shimmer. She sighs and sits down. When she looks up she
sees the shadows dance and move, before a solid black figure
darts from it and appears in the tallest building closest to the
other two. It's height stood a solid 6 feet. His entire body
completely swathed in darkness. His face covered by a black
bandage, the only thing showing of his skin was his lower face.
His porcelain lips held together in an unsatisfied look. His
gaze was tight to Xamphere, never leaving once to look at the
woman. Yet that was different from Sophie, whose glances at the
woman were of intrigue. She looked nice, and maybe she would be
a good playmate when Kade was too stuffy to play.
She felt jittery, every fiber in her being wanted to go say
hello, but Kade was very scary when he was studying people, so
she knew better... For only five minutes. She slowly takes a
step inward, her pure white gown glittering in the sunlight. His
long black hair gently dangling down her pretty pale face. Her
body seemed incredibly fragile. The being upon the tall
building's arms shot out, his right one swirling shadows around
his hand until the sheath of a large katana appears in it. The
blade inside it's resting spot, ready to be pulled. Yet seeing
Sophie he suddenly stopped, he growls to himself at her
impatience and he halts all movement. Instead just watching to
see how everything plays out. His body's energies have been
hidden completely as he would feel as though a normal bird to
those sensitive enough to detect that well. Sophie smiled and
waved. "Hello! My name is Sophie!" She said with a bright smile,
the flower clutched in her off hand.

Xamphere smiled as she pulled away; attempting to comfort her
just a little bit. Leaning down as he grabbed a strange plant
that grew within only this strange town. A type of stiff,
golden, flower that stood up from the ground. Gently grabbing it
from the earth and snapping the step in half; a strange liquid
slipping onto the thumb of his glove. Standing back up he gave
her another smile. "Don't worry. This is how we get rid of
wounds around here. It's actually pretty interesting. The plant
only grows here." With that he uses his other hand to move her
hair from the wound. "Now, this may tingle a bit, but, I promise
       it won't hurt."
       He slowly wiped the strange liquid onto the bloodied wound;
numbing it immediately. It would send a strange tingle through
her skull as the wound itself began to evaporate into nothing.
It was not healing, but, create a time paradox. It would force
the skin cells into the past; thus making it as if the wound had
never existed in the first place. The very liquid itself
evaporating along with the wound. "We call them Time Tulips. Not
very original, but, the children named them." He let out a
chuckle as he pulled back from her. "How do you feel now?"
Though, as he spoke his eyes shot wide open. The gold circle
that surrounded his pupil pulsing to grow larger; only to
       retract and repeat. His wide eyes shot over to the young girl;
his body instantly being forced onto one knee in a bowing like
motion. This motion was not of his choice, but, some other force
making him bow to the girl. His own power itself forcing his
body to treat this girl with such... Worship. He spoke in a
shocked tone as she grew closer; his other knee forced upon the
ground. "S-Sophie...? You are... Part of him..."
He was knocked completely onto his hands and knees as she was
finally beside them; his eyes shining a near complete gold as he
looked to the girl. Some of the red strands of hair's color
desolving into a pure white. Attempting to speak once more.
"Where... Where is he?" His tone was nearly a beg rather than a
demand as he looked up to her. "I need to find him... Do you
have the answers I need...?" He spoke before even his head was
sent down to bow to her. Just her very presence hijacking his
power. This power controlling his every muscle. "Please... Tell
me..." He clenched his eyes shut as the Inversion Energy
protecting his body worked harder and harder to keep his true
power at bay within him. There was a battle being fought in his
       body and mind.

She eyed the flower suspiciously knowing that anything could
happen, but if small children could trust him perhaps so could
she, at least momentarily while she regained some strength. A
slight nod was all she did before his fingers touch the thing
that was causing her so much pain. Immediately it went numb and
everything felt tingly, it was almost dizzying. She stood her
ground and blinked a few times after the process was over. One
of her limbs moved and her fingers swiftly ran over the place
where the injury was but now was no longer there. "I feel much
better, thanks." Her voice was no longer shaky and the pounding
headache she was constantly living with was no longer there.
There conversation was interrupted by another small child but
this one was different. She couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Not knowing anything about the girl or her power she treated her
as she would any small child. She bent down to one knee and
smiled at the girl. "Hey little one. How are you Sophie?"
