Should have seen that coming!
By: Sachiel Date: August 19, 2015, 6:41 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Recap: Sachiel and Rashel stayed together for the duration of
the show. Their relationship was strong, and affectionate.
Even after the show they remained and it was expected for the
two of them to marry. But then one day, seemingly at random,
they broke up! Sachiel moved away from LA, to New York, where he
began working behind the camera, instead of in front of it. It
was a year and a half before he incidentally ran into Kaylee,
and after spending the day together, she invited him to be her
date to an upcoming Awards show. Where things go from here, is
up in the air.

Obnoxious bright camera flashes blinded her as she stepped out
onto the carpet. Barely able to breathe in her designer gown,
she fought to keep her heartbeat static as she smiled toward the
flashes. The only thing she loved about events were the genuine
looks of surprise and happiness painted on celebs on the
receiving end of awards and the ending where she could go home.
After spending a night in three inch heels, she longed to return
home and soak her feet. There was no way to avoid such taxing
attire when contracts had her exclusive signature. Some days it
felt like she had sold her soul instead of her time.
Sachiel would be arriving soon. They had planned on going
together until her hairdresser arrived late and left no time to
spare. Fortunately, she had thought ahead to reserve Sachiel a
place beside her at the table inside.
Posing for different cameras all with voices shouting her names
and questions on her latest work or relationship, Kaylee never
talked, just smiled. She had not planned to speak to any
reporter or paparazzi tonight until she saw a girl get shot down
harshly by a celeb. The girl barely looked 17 and had probably
worked very hard to win a competition to get to come on the red
carpet.
"Hey, darlin'," Kaylee greeted, flashing a smile as she
approached the flabbergasted girl. "What company are you
shooting for?"
The girl looked at her camera then back down at her pen and
notepad.
"TMP," she replied followed by a storm of questions.
Kaylee answered all of them with ease.
"Yes, I'm excited for my new lingerie line. I moved to Tuscany
last spring and am visiting my condo here for the time being. My
new guy is a two foot tall chocolate lab named Ruffles. He was
prenamed."
The questions went on and on. Finally, she stopped the girl as
it was announced for the awards ceremony to begin. She waited
outside for a few more minutes to see if Sachiel would arrive
soon.

Sachiel had almost lost track of time, working on a sculpture on
his back patio. It had been so long since he last went on a
date, it would seem he had forgotten how to do it! Luckily,
he caught a glimpse at the time and quickly rushed to get ready.
An hour later, he was looking fresh, and on his way to the
show.
Sachiel hadn't played a role in almost two years. Since he
wasn't a nominee, he couldn't walk on the red carpet unless he
was accompanied by someone who was. Since he was meeting Kaylee
there, he had to use the other entrance. He arrived in time to
catch the tail end of Kaylee's interview, and smiled to her
when she was finished. He offered her his arm, and walked her
to their seats. There were so many people that it was
impossible to tell who all was there, but that was alright. He
was only there for one person, after all. So how many awards
are you walking out of here with tonight? Ten? Twenty?"
It was just a joke, but fifteen minutes in, Kaylee had already
won the award for Best TV Actress. Sachiel cheered happily. He
wad been keeping up with the show that won her the award and he
had to say she deserved it! He smiled to her add she returned
to her seat. One down. The rest to go, eh?"
A few moments later was the category for Best Overall Actress,
for which Kaylee was also nominated. The winner, however, was
Aoife Finch. If Kaylee didn't win, he was glad the winner was a
friend, who was also incredibly talented. He was surprised when
Aoife took the stage though. She had social anxiety, and, to
Sachiel's knowledge, had never attended an awards show. He
realized then that he never called to congratulate her in her
engagement! After her speech, Sachiel clapped, and watched her
return to her seat on the big screen to see that she was seated
with none other than Jasper McGill! "Check that out." He
whispered in her ear as he pointed to the screen discretely.
Sachiel had had many talks with Aoife About her "thing" with
Jasper. He didn't know what the deal was with them being there
together, but it seemed odd to him. Something to keep an eye
out for, at least...

When Sachiel had came up beside her, a weight was lifted off her
shoulders. She visibly relaxed as she took his offered arm.
Although she thrived in the spotlight, she loathed how it made
her so nervous. It was a love hate relationship. Thanks to it,
she was now rich with a promising future, but it came with its
drawbacks.
Like the instant she took his arm, the cameras went off around
them in a frenzy. By tomorrow their faces would be in a magazine
with lies of how they had been keeping their relationship a
secret for months and speculation that she was pregnant with his
brother's child who was an alien from the outskirts of Pluto.
Okay, maybe that was really exaggerated, but the lies spread
about her often were.
"Thirty," she corrected with a playful smile.
Kaylee had barely gotten comfortable before they called her
name. With feigned surprise, she rose from her seat and tried to
see where she was going as a blaring white spotlight trailed
behind her all the way to the stage.
A speech was not required so she opted out, but not before
thanking her fans for supporting her. When she returned to the
table, she poured herself a half a glass of water provided and
laughed at Sachiel's remark.
She sat, legs crossed and hands in her lap as she watched
various actors claim their awards. Every time, her smile
broadened as she watched their bewildered expressions turn to
joy as their name was called.
Before long, her name was announced once again, but this time it
was read off a list of nominees. Aoife was on it as well. She
was not surprised to hear her name called and when it was, she
clapped for her.
She really did deserve it.
Kaylee leaned over to Sachiel, following the direction to which
he was pointing.
"I thought she was engaged," she whispered, looking back and
forth between the two.
But she had learned not to judge such things after her own
engagement fell through. Also, she knew that Jasper would care
for her in the right manner if given the chance. Maybe, she
should try to text him sometime. Not to pry, but to be a good
friend.
The show soon came to an end after a few on stage performances.
Kaylee walked with Sachiel outside and stopped to smile a few
times foe the cameras before slipping away to say hi to Jasper.
She gave him and Aoife a hug and wished them well, then returned
to Sachiel.
"Hey, why don't you ride with me and we can go get some dinner,"
she suggested. "I just have to swing by my place to change out
of these damn heels."

"They are. " Sachiel answered. He watched the screen to see if
the two appeared to be on a date but the screen didnt remain on
them long enough to discern. Aoife want the type to do her
fiancee wrong. But despite her private nature, Sachiel knew
how she felt about Jasper. And EVERYONE who was in that house
knew how Jasper felt about her. If nothing else, they were
being the tabloids to pick then apart.
Kaylee won Top Female Hottie,to go with Jasper as the Top Male
Hottie, before the show ended. She definitely did well. After
the show they walked through the crowd. Sachiel managed to
exchange greetings with Jasper. But Aoife was a bit commodity
with her three awards. He couldn't get near her! As he and
Kaylee were getting into her car though, he caught sight of
Jasper moving bags from his limo to Aoife's,before hoping into
the back with her. He didn't say anything, instead turned his
attention to his own date. "Aw! And here i thought you loved
walking in heels all night! He laughed.

Sarcasm was ingrained into her nature, but the heels were so
horrible that she could not think up a witty comeback for his
comment. Instead, she emitted a sound that resembled laughter.
Once she was seated comfortably in the back of the limo and the
driver pulled away from the show, she took the shoes off only to
reveal swollen feet with blisters across the soles. The straps
of the heels had left behind white depressions on the top of her
feet.
"Definitely not," she said, tossing the shoes to the seats
across from them. "Are you thirsty?"
She opened a mini-fridge by her feet and pulled out a bottle of
white wine and two glasses.
"Thanks for coming tonight," she said. "It helps pass the time
if someone else is there."
"M'am where are we going?" asked her driver as the black window
separating the front of the limo from the back came down. An
older gentleman with a receeding hairline looked back at her
through the review mirror.
"Sorry, Blake. Take me back to my hotel please," she replied.
He nodded. "Right m'am."

Sach could practically feel Kaylee's relief as she removed her
shoes. Opting to get more comfortable as well, he removed his
jacket, exposing his white shirt and contrasting black and
silver tie. "No problem!" He answered quickly. "I'm glad you
invited me! I just hope I'm not a horrible date
He eyed her two awards as she declared to her driver that they
would be returning to her hotel, and suddenly he couldn't help
picturing himself as her groupie for the night! He couldn't help
but laugh add he imagined hey picking out one of her screaming
fanboys after a show to take back to her room.
The weird thing about riding in a limo is that you don't get to
pen the door for the lady. When they arrived at Kaylee's hotel,
the driver opened the door for them. The door closer to Sach,
he exited first, and reacheda hand inside to help the lady out
of the car.
It had been raining on that side of town, and the ground was
wet and muddy. " Come on. " Sachiel said, lifting the woman
into his arms and caring her toasts the building, conscious not
to allow her dress to fall into a revealing position. Once they
got to the lobby he placed her safely on her feet. "There you
go! " he said, secretly thinking of the night he had to carry
her away from the pool party. It seemed history could be giving
him another chance! He liked that idea...

"Never. You were exactly what I needed," she assured.
Kaylee eyed the shirt that remained before sipping on the glass
of wine she had poured for herself. The alcohol created a
blanket that cushioned her nervousness.
She sat the wineglass down on the fridge when they had stopped
along the curb at the hotel. Sachiel surprised her by scooping
her into his arms with ease and carried her into the dry lobby.
Her need for independence restricted her from being completely
'swept off her feet', as the pun would have it, but she enjoyed
it just the same.
Her feet hit the floor softly, mindful of the battle wounds from
the evening spent in heels, and she smiled at him.
"Thanks. My room is on the fifteenth floor," she said, making
her way to the elevators. There, she pressed the 'UP' arrow and
waited less than ten seconds before the doors peeled back.
A woman with a group of her friends started walking out of the
elevator, but they stopped when they realized that they
recognized Kaylee and Sachiel.
"Oh M' G'! squealed the blonde. "It is Sachiel!"
One of the brunettes grabbed the only man in the group and
pointed out Kaylee to him. He grinned.
"Can we take pictures with you two?" he asked, eyeing Kaylee
especially, but his pink, v-neck shirt told her that he was only
a fan.
Kaylee nodded and looped her arm under Sachiel's. The group
gathered around them and held out a phone on a selfie stick. As
they smiled, Kaylee glanced over at Sachiel and grinned.
When they had reached her room, she opened the door and invited
him in. Her TV was on in the living room with a few lamps around
the large sectional there. The TV was recording the last few
minutes of a Cowboy's football game. Packers were a touchdown
away from taking the win, causing Kaylee to groan as she passed
through the living room to get to her bedroom. She kept the door
open as she went through her belongings until she found a pair
of jeans, a hoodie, and sandles.
She disappeared from view long enough to change. When she
returned to the from room, she was in different clothes and her
hair was pulled back out of her face.
"Are you a betting man, Sachiel?" she asked, smirking a bit as
she worked on removing her jewelry.

Sachiel took a dip of his eine as well. It was sweet, but he
still preferred mixed drinks. He didn't complain though. He
placed his glad next to Kaylee's before they got out of the car.
Surely enough he'd have plenty of time to finish it when they
returned.
At the elevator, Sachiel smiled at the group of people, and
engaged in small talk with them. He confirmed that they were
going to a party that he had considered attending, before he
came up with a date.
He didn't mention it, but he recognized the guy in the pink
shirt. He had never met him before. But he remembered a post
he had made on the RWMOW fan wall. He said Kaylee and Danny
weren't a very cute couple and she would look better with
Sachiel. Sachiel had favorited they tweet and responded. With a
winking face. He cooked back the laughter when they pulled out
the selfie stick, but took the picture just the same. Tag me
on twitter so i can follow you guys!" He called out as the
elevator closed. Squeals could be hard from the other side.
Sachiel liked to be interactive with his fans, especially since
he quit acting. In a way it helped him feel in touch with the
community her had left behind to direct. "I think pink shirt
liked you! " he said with a wink.
When they arrived in her Suite, Sachiel took a seat on the
couch. As Kaylee went to get clothes, he took out his phone and
sent a quick text. When Kaylee arrived, she asked a question
that caught Jailers attention. "I'll try anything once..." he
responded, a challenging eyebrow raising toward the sky. Hey
eyes looked on as they awaited the bet; and the s r akes...

Kaylee smirked at his answer. It was the response she had been
hoping for. Pulling out a diamond earring, she made her way to
the small kitchenette and retrieved two lime green posted notes
and a pen. She jotted something down on one then folded it in
half and handing him the blank note and pen.
"Write down what you want if you win. Whoever wins will have to
read the other's note tonight when we watch the rest of the
game," she explained, putting her note in her front pocket.
"That way your mind can't be changed at the last minute. Now,"
she paused the TV. "Who do you think will when. Green Bay
Packers or Cowboys? And I'll take the other."
Packers were down, but close to making a touchdown at the 30
yard line and they only had one down with five minutes game time
left. However, Cowboys were in the lead.
Despite her meager attire, the curves of her hips and bossom
were obvious. It was clear that she took very good care of
herself by exercising and eating right. Of course, it was
expected in the industry she was in. Also, it proved helpful
when she was able to model for her own lingerie line.
Kaylee smiled mischievously as she waited to see if he would
comply.
"I must warn you though, I take bets very seriously," she
warned, taking a step forward and running a finger down his
chest.
They were interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Must be Blake," she murmured and went to open the door.
It was Blake, dressed in a rain jacket. "The car is ready, m'am
and I did what you asked," he told her.
She nodded. "Thanks."
Kaylee grabbed her purse, a small black handbag, and fished out
a wallet. The only reason she had a purse was to prevent her
from losing anything. Otherwise, she detested the accessory that
was more of a nuisance than anything to carry around.
"Ready?" she asked Sachiel with a polite smile.
Kaylee threw the purse on the couch and placed the wallet
beneath her arm. Before she could move, her phone sounded. She
pulled it out of her pocket and read a message then sighed.
"Umm, I forgot that I promised to stop by this party South of
town. I'm going to have to cancel our coffee date, but since
you're dressed, do you want to tag along as my plus one?" she
asked, her smile now smaller and more timid.
Kaylee felt bad for asking him for a favor again. She also felt
bad for changing their plans at the last minute. If it had not
been for business, then she would bail out.
