The dark was both frightening and comforting. If a blow were to
fly her way, Kat wouldn't see it coming. But it also stopped
her from seeing his shadow whenever she turned a corner! As long
as she kept the front door locked, she should be safe. Wait,
did she lock the front door? She rose from her seated position
on her bed and trekked through the pitch black house to check.
She turned the knob, and surely enough, it was locked. Bare
feet padded back to the bedroom, carrying the beautiful, yet
disturbed woman back to the safety of her bed. Clad in black
sweatpants, and a grey tank top, she was far from dolled up.
No chance of going out that night.
She turned on the tv just before the season finale of the first
season of Real World: MOW came on. It was a rerun. The last
episode of the first season, followed by the reunion show, in
celebration of the second season starting. Kat always thought
that Sachiel seemed nice... He was sweet and always put others
first. She heard Season two was being shot in Denver! The idea
that he would be in her hometown was exciting! She wouldn't risk
meeting him in real life, even if she had the chance, but it
       was still a cool thought.
This was Kat's life for the past two years since she returned
home; sit in the dark and watch mind-numbing television. She
only let the house to work or to buy essentials needed to
survive. She didn't go clubbing or meeting people. She hadn't
even contacted her friends to let them know she was back in
town! She didn't have Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. He had
made her delete them, and would be mad if he found out she got
new ones... She was alone. It may not have been ideal, but at
least it was safe. She could sit in the house and enjoy watching
Sachiel. But first, she needed to check and make sure the door
       was locked....
