A ring of pink formed around Jasper's eyes, as Aoife took her
hair down.He averted his gaze elsewhere, knowing she knew well
what it meant. and didn't want to make things awkward for her.
When she went into the bathroom, he closed his eyes, and focused
on changing the ring from pink to yellow. It was a skill he had
been working on since leaving the house. It revolved around him
achieving mastery of his emotions, a skill that acting made
possible. Though if the emotion was too overwhelming, he still
lacked the capability to stop it from reflecting in his eyes.
When she returned with a Bop It, Jasper fell out laughing! "I'm
not even going to ask why you have one of these!" He said, He
glared at her before grinning and saying "Thank you sir!" taking
the toy and pressing the button to start the game! He had never
played before, but he would give it an attempt. His first try He
successfully kept the game going for 22 commands. On the twenty
third, his phone went off, distracting him just long enough to
render it a failed round. He sighed quietly, assessing the game.
The game was simple, What was difficult, was playing in front of
Aoife. For some reason, she made it difficult to concentrate.
Not only that, but he only wanted to look like so much of a geek
in front of her. He handed her the game and pulled out his
phone. A reply from Kaylee. He shook his head and texted back.
"Don't make it sound so luxurious. We're flying to New York
together for an audition. I'm not getting action like you!
       lol!!"

Aoife rolled her eyes, chuckling. "It's not that weird, is it?"
Brows furrowed in thought, cheeks prickling with embarrassment.
"If it helps, a fan gave it to me." She giggled nervously,
watching on as Jasper initiated his round. He did quite well
until his phone went off. A brow raised in question as she
grabbed the toy and began her turn, being sure to keep her eyes
off the phone screen. She didn't see a point in asking who it
was. Her mind immediately dove into thoughts of his various
girls; a different one on his arm every night. Jasper was very
much the playboy, but he seemed happy with it. Every girl dreams
of turning the bad boy good, Aoife just wasn't the one for him.
The first few commands were easy; her mind was on the game. On
the fifth command she fell into her thoughts, and the seventh
she missed. A blush was immediately on her cheeks, hands moving
to cover up the redness with the toy on her lap. "I swear I'm
not horrible at the game, I was just thinking." The words felt
heavy on her tongue, silently hoping he wouldn't ask what she
was thinking about. It was with a down trodden look did she hand
the Bop It over to him, brows furrowed. "I'll beat your record
next time, you can count on that."

"Just a little." Jasper teased. he listened to Aoife's
explanation and shook his head, laughing slightly. "Yeah, sure
they did." He didn' t know why he always gave her such a hard
time. He never wanted her to be unhappy. But it seemed she
understood that well. She never took his teasing to heart, and
was even sassy enough to tease him back!
Aoife's performance was a little embarrassing. But even Jasper
could tell that she was distracted by something. She attempted
to cover her blushing face, but Jasper knew it well. He took the
game from her, but instead of starting up another round, he sat
across Aoife's lap like a small child. "Thinkin' about what?" he
asked, naturally. It wasn't as if he couldn't tell when
something was bothering her, after all.

Aoife gracefully accepted his teasing with playful huff and roll
of her eyes. Despite her attempts to appear annoyed with him,
       she couldn't keep a smile off her face. It was easy with Jasper;
smiling, laughing. Being with him was comfortable, it felt
normal. But she felt the same way with Stefan - no, even more so
with Stefan; utmost love and affection. As brutal of a fact as
it is, Stefan was there for her when Jasper left, and Stefan
would be here for her when she and Jasper parted ways once more,
       she needed to remember that.
She settled back into the couch with a sigh, making no protest
as Jasper laid across her lap. Refusing to answer would get her
nowhere with him because he would just continue to pry. Instead,
Aoife refused to tell the truth, covering it up with something
as equally as believable. "I'm nervous about the flight.." She
mumbled, immediately throwing an arm over her eyes as if
       embarrassed for admitting it.

When Aoife said that she was nervous about the flight, Jasper
believed her. He had no reason to believe she would lie to him.
The playfuless faded from his face; replaced with a look of
protectiveness. The yellow in his eyes faded, a rich brown
taking it's place. "It'll be alright." he told her. "Remember
the first time we met on the rooftop? I told you I would fly
with you, and we would look out the window together. We're gonna
do it. And I'm gonna be right there with you." Jasper had always
meant to keep that promise. but with the way things ended after
the show, it seemed he would never have the chance. He checked
the time to see that they needed to get moving themselves.
"Guess we'd better call that cab." He said. "It's almost that
time." He placed his hand on top of her's gently, and offered a
smile. Even if he had lost his chance at her heart. He would be
there for her, as long as she would let him.

The more she thought about it the more she realized just how
nervous she was about the flight. Before she had time to sit
back and relax, Aoife hadn’t thought about what exactly was
happening. She got an offer from the Steven Spielberg. With
Jasper. And they both would be taking an early morning flight to
New York for their auditions. Surely they would be auditioning
for the main characters – after the nice she’s had accepting
awards, Aoife found it difficult to not think that, but the
matter of actually landing the part was debatable. Jasper, on
the other hand, was a shoe-in. He would get the part easily.
She removed her arm and looked down at him just in time to see
the color of his eyes shift to a chocolatey brown. Aoife smiled
in thanks, nodding her head. It was pretty late – or early,
depending on how you looked at it – and they needed to leave
soon if they wanted to make the flight. “You’re right. I’ll call
the cab.” After giving his hand a gentle squeeze, Aoife pushed
his head off her lap and got to her feet, dialing the number for
a cabbie the second she got her phone in her hands. It took only
a few minutes to give the man name and address, and for her to
find out he was only ten minutes away. “Are you all set then?
Don’t need any last minute things? Toothbrush? Toothpaste?
Underwear?” She’d grown accustomed to taking on a motherly role,
especially when travelling. Stefan always forgot something when
they traveled. On their anniversary trip to Hawaii, packing
boxers had completely slipped his mind. Although that was one of
the exceptions; Aoife didn’t mind. No, not at all.

Jasper chuckled after Aoife's barrage of questions. "I'd be in
pretty bad shape if I didn't have all those things at this
point, don't you think?" Jasper was a pro at this by now. Most
of the shooting for 'Monarch' was done in various parts of
Europe. Packing was like a ritual. He could do it an hour before
leaving and probably wouldn't forget a thing.
When the cab arrived, Jasper grabbed as much luggage as he could
All of his, and a bit of Aoife's as well. After packing it in
the trunk, and a bit of it that wouldn't fit into the back seat,
he opened the front door for Aoife. "After you, m'lady." he said
in a quite convincing English accent. Once she was safely
seated, he took his seat in the back and they were off to the
       airport.
It was a quiet trip through the airport. there were several
people flying, but most seemed half asleep, juicing up on coffee
etc. The plane to New York was only half full, and First Class
was reserved for just Aoife and Jasper. The day the two had met,
Aoife said she couldn't sit in the window seat. It made her
nervous. Jasper took the seat by the window, and smiled to
Aoife, taking her hand as the plane was taking off. He wouldn't
worry about the window for now. Might as well wait until the
view would be pretty enough to distract Aoife from the height.
Until then, he would keep the window closed.

Aoife rolled her eyes playfully, a smile on her face as she
chuckled at him. “You’d be surprised what Stefan forgets…” She
found herself trailing off, biting her lip to keep herself from
continuing on about the man she loved so dearly. It was awkward
for her to bring it up considering how close she and Jasper grew
during their time on the show. But that was a difference between
the two men. Jasper was prepared, and when he isn’t he’s always
quick to think of a solution. Stefan, on the other hand, was
scatter brained. He would always overthink and forget things. A
small smile appeared on her face at the thought of him.
Goodness. She missed him a lot.
The cab arrived soon. Before she could do anything, Jasper had
grabbed most of her bags. A flustered Aoife grabbed her
remaining bags and followed him out to the cab, allowing him the
freedom of packing their bags away as she got in. “You are too
kind. A fine gentleman, Sir Jasper.” She replied in an equally
as convincing English accent, earning a soft chuckle from the
driver. From the way his eyes kept looking at her and into the
rearview mirror, Aoife could tell he recognized them, thankful
for his calm reaction – it wasn’t every day a regular cabbie
driver gets to transport two well-known celebrities, fresh out
       of a successful award show.
The closer they got to the airport, the more nervous Aoife grew.
Her forehead glistened with sweat, making her nerves obvious
despite her efforts of appearing nonchalant about the whole
ordeal. And as they were boarding the plane she followed close
behind Jasper with wide eyes, her nerves finally getting the
best of her. For being a popular actress, Aoife didn’t fly as
frequently as others. The fear never had the chance to leave.
She settled in her seat, squeezing her eyes shut when the pilot
announced the five minutes before take off. Feeling a hand grab
her own, Aoife found herself staring at Jasper, eyes locked
firmly with his as her hand clenched his in a near bone-breaking
       grip.

There was minimal turbulence when the plane took off.
Nonetheless, Aoife kept a deathgrip on Jasper's hand. He showed
no signs of pain on his face, but he had a feeling he would need
some ice when they landed. A nonstop flight was 5 and a half
hours. That meant they were landing at about 6:30 am. It would
be a pain if Aoife was high strung the entire time. He thought
of their days in the house, when he used to put her to sleep by
massaging her scalp. He decided that may be the best course of
action. Once the flight had smoothed, Jasper spoke up. "Why
don't you try to get some rest?" Jasper asked. His voice was
calm and soothing, as his free hand stroked her scalp. He
wouldn't sleep. He would stay up and keep an eye on her.
Four hours had passed when Jasper opened the window shade and
looked out. It was a cloudless night, full of stars; A beautiful
sight. He looked toward Aoife, unsure if she was sleeping or
not. "Hey, Aoife. Are you sleeping?" If she was, he wouldn't
bother her. After all, he didn't want to work her nerves up if
she was relaxing. If she was awake, however, he would speak up.
"The stars look amazing. Want to have a look?" He'd take her
hand once more, and lean back in order to allow her to look past
       him.
It wasn't much longer before they landed. An attendant would be
waiting with signs with their names. When they arrived he would
greet them happily, handing each a copy of the script, before
ushering them to the vehicle that had been sent for them. Once
their things were packed into the car, they were off to the
hotel. Jasper's Suite was on the 43rd floor, and Aoife's on the
42nd. "Your Auditions will be tomorrow at noon." He explained.
"Please get some rest and take some time to look over your
scripts. Jasper was surprised they were given so much time. But
then, considering the time of their flight, it would have been
impossible for them to give their best auditions so soon. He
turned to Aoife and smiled with light yellow eyes. "How about we
meet up tonight and run some lines?" Theoretically speaking,
they would be co-stars. It only made sense that they rehearse
together. For now though, Jasper needed sleep. He could take a
       look at the script later.

Aoife let out a breath when they were safe in the air. Minimal
turbulence was something she was glad for. The grip she had on
his hand went slack, though her fingers remained curled around
his for comfort. Flying was a scary thing. She didn't have
control, anything could happen, and if it did, they were
thousands of miles up in the sky with no easy way out. Every
scary movie came to mind. Final Destination-esque scenarios
flashing through her head -- hell, she even thought of Snakes on
a Plane. "I don't think it'll be that easy," She murmured in
response, closing her eyes as Jasper began messaging her scalp.
It brought a smile to her face; he would always do that in the
house, it put her right to sleep most of the time, but the
chances of that happening were slim to none. Sleep wouldn't
come, but it did make her relax if even a little bit.
Hours passed and Aoife kept her eyes shut. It was obvious she
wasn't sleeping with the way her knee bounced with anxiety. At
Jasper's voice she peeked open her eyes, sitting up to look out
the window. "Uh, sure." What could hurt? The ride was relatively
smooth, it was early, early morning, so the stars had to be a
sight. She leaned over his body, resting a hand on his seat's
armrest to steady herself as she looked out the window. Despite
how much her heart was racing, it was very beautiful. "It's
amazing." Silence followed soon after, several minutes passed
before Aoife relaxed back into her own seat, flashing him a
smile before settling in for the rest of the ride.
She was on the brink of sleeping when the pilot announced their
landing in New York. Hazel eyes fluttered open as she sat up,
buckling just as instructed. The land was smooth, they were
ushered out by the flight attendants, and after find their bags
they found the attendant with a sign of their names. After being
briefed, Aoife and Jasper were sent on their ways. "Sounds like
a date." She chimed as she pressed the button to the elevator.
"Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks a hot shower and a long
nap sounds amazing." The words left her in a dreamy sigh, her
shoulder leaning lazily against Jasper's. "How about we meet in
your room and you supply the foods? Or we could go out, but that
sounds like too much of a hassle."
