Adema Testing Gabe: Trial by fire.
By: Adema Date: January 13, 2012, 6:36 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Adema watched how the man reacted to her visual effects that she
had cast upon him. He seemed to slow down on his speech, and
even seem a bit disoriented. Gabe, also talked a little less
when faced with this mental challenge. It wasn't that hard,
really, but it was a little distracting. She listened to him and
placed her finger to her chin in thought as the effects suddenly
stopped. Then, the man had the audacity to ask her the same
question. The red phoenix flared up, but she wouldn't allow this
to get to her. Adema had business to take care of and didn't
really feel like being here all day. Though, it could be fun to
fucck with this man and his cocckiness. "First of all, I'm not a
'Mrs'. Secondly, you shouldn't ask me anything. I'm here to test
YOU. Besides, you haven't even answered my question. I see you
was distracted. I'll ask you once more. Dislikes and fears? Any
family?" She asked before turning to walk toward a more suitable
location. "Come. Follow.." She told Gabe as she started along
the winding snake like path. As they walked, the sides of the
road began to crumble and drop off, falling into pits of
smoldering hot lava. Suddenly, a wave of Psycho energy blanketed
the man and their surroundings. This would cause Gabe's motor
skills to switch, making his left, right. And, right, let. Up is
down, down is up. "However, I would oblige. I enjoy the simple
things sometimes. I really like my fishnets and leather. I'm not
really a girl that's into many things others are; like walks
through the park and holding hands. I enjoy the sunrise, more so
than the sun set." She smirked, wondering if he would be
distracted, for as she spoke, fireballs rose from the pits of
lava and started to shoot toward Gabe in all directions. The
path was long and it would be over fifty fireballs thrown at the
man before they were finished; varying in speeds, angles,
directions, and size. Some pure fire, while some are molten rock
and metals. He needed to also remember that the sides of the
four foot wide road were non existent; he would need to be very
       careful.

Gabe chuckled lightly her anger he could feel it even if it was
a small bit it was there, his cloaked body began to follow hers
as his mind shot to the millions of different things this woman
could have power-wise but only two options remained by the time
he was done. Illusions or mental control. He followed her down
the snaking path about to answer her question before everything
changed again, like a bad dream the path began to crumble and
fall into a pit. His eyes closed and a small breath extended
from his lips and to the air around him, it’s just an illusion
his mind spoke to him, her words were still there he could hear
them yet his walking seemed off and he stumbled to the ground
before him and shot both his hands outward, he went to raise his
right hand to begin pushing off the ground and instead his left
rose, he took a deep breath and moved his hand once again. It
didn’t take long to figure out what was wrong before the
fireballs began shooting up, he raised his left arm which in
turn rose his right as the fireballs extended around him, and in
her head she would hear it for the power she held just as much
as he would. “Dreture” while still walking the fireballs seemed
to strike a thin barrier outlining Gabriels body, a few of the
fireballs slipping past to strike each other causing simple
sparks to fly off and strike his cloak burning it up a bit.
“Hmmm not the typical girl aye” Gabriel tapped his chin lightly
staying upon the middle of the road making sure not to move to
       close to either edge.

Adema Testing Gabe: Not what it seems.
By: Adema Date: January 21, 2012, 1:58 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
'Hmm..' The Phoenix spoke to herself as she witnessed Gabe's
adaptation to her test. It was fairly quick and he didn't seem
to break a sweat from it. Though, she was getting agitated that
the man wouldn't answer her questions. Her eyes narrowed as they
finished the winding and broken path, now finding themselves in
a clearing that was much different than what they had just got
out of. It was a grassy plain, almost knee high to be exact. If
Gave were to look behind him, he would notice that the path they
were on had vanished and he was in the center of a vast field
with no exit in sight. No mountains lined the area, no hills,
just flat grasslands. The winds remained a constant twenty to
twenty five MPH gust that swept the grass in many directions.
The temperature was warm and fitting. Could this area be
something of her own creation within Gabe's mind? Could they
still be on the winding path, or haven't even left the original
place yet? That was only for Gabe to find out as his testing
continues. She turned to the man and raised her arms to her
sides in a challenging way with a wink. "You bore me, Gabriel. I
wanted to see something interesting. Now, how about this. All
you have to do is hit me before I hit you. I'm sure you could
handle that simple task, huh?" She grinned and rose several
inches from the ground, about a yard and a half from the man.
Her aura, though very subtle, displaced the world around her
body. This test would be more tricky than the man would suspect
       from face value.

Gabes eyes shot up to the woman as she spoke, the words shot
through his ear and wracked around a bit before his mind fully
comprehended the task at hand. Hit me before I hit you the words
were quick and already planned which meant just like a game of
chess he had to out think his opponent yet she knew almost
everything about him and yet he knew so little about her besides
the fact she delves in something to do with the mind. His
sapphire eyes shifted to her burning ones and his voice rose
from beneath the hood, “And for future reference Miss Darkfire
this game is going to get a lot funner for both of us here soon
by the time your games are over and mine begin.” When his
statement ended a golden symbol rocked through his eyes for a
second and seemed to course through his eyes before fading out
of the edges. “I guess let’s play and end this test already,”
The area shift around him was the least of his worries so he
cared less for the fact that the path behind him was gone but he
did pay heed to the fact they were locked in a playing field
with no entrances or exits no way in or out which means there
was no way for him and her to leave like two gladiators ready to
battle to the death, no weapons, no armor just the abilities
that harbor the entirety of their bodies and the battle they
both knew, tactics, the field all of it was up for gain and
after this things wouldn’t look so bright.

Really? Was this all this man could do? Just talk. Blah blah
blah! He was boring her to death and she didn't know if he knew
that or not, but she could fail him on the account of him being
boring as hell. He seemed like he wanted to get to know her, but
this wasn't the reason the man had shown up here. Sighing to
herself, the right eye of Adema began to burn a bright yellow.
While her left eye remained the same burning embers as if
created by the surface of the sun, itself. Game? So this man
really thought that he could test Adema back? What the hell was
he thinking about? He would surely fail at this attempt and
Adema should fail him just on that account.Or was he just trying
to get some brownie points from Adema in some form of pleasant
flattery? Regardless, he was in for more than he could possibly
imagine. With the seriousness still etched upon the Red
Phoenix's face, Adema's body began to smolder and ripple as if
the heat from her body was distorting the air. Her body was
shadowed by two other versions of herself, looming like smoke
lifting from her body; hardly noticeable with the ripples. "Are
we going to sit here and chit chat all day? Because I seriously
don't have the time for this. And, my father doesn't like to be
kept waiting. Now, if your feeble mind could comprehend such an
easy task as to strike me, I would like to get this show on the
road. Now, Hurry.Before.I.Fail.You. Was that slow enough for
you, dear? I'm afraid I can't dumb it down much more than that..
Now come at me, Dog.." She pressed, wondering what effect this
would have on the man, hopefully, one that she would like, as
the corner of her lips curved into a wicked smirk..

Gabe sighed softly as the woman spoke, he was ready to end this
as well she was boring him as much as he was boring her and he
would prove her wrong for defying his intelligence. She used
illusion or was a master of the mind he had to figure out which
one she was quickly. Gabriel raised his arm up and gripped the
cloak right beneath the hood and pulled lightly on it ripping it
right from his body revealing what lay underneath it as the
cloak seemed to fade into nothingness. His long black hair was
the first thing to show as the cloak faded, each strand of hair
seemed to gleam within the bright light that was now there.
His sapphire eyes were now completely shown showing the
inscriptions that lay upon his body, dark blue inscriptions
drawn out in intricate designs covering the entirety of his face
and exposed chest. He was always called weird for his strange
attire as a mage, no shirt and simple battle pants, martial
artists would wear to fight or spar in the monastery, his eyes
stared forward at Adema as he finally began to decipher his
battle plans, his eyes were completely different now, seeming
more laid back and tactical ready to try this test, he noticed
the ripples in the air but that was it the two clones completely
oblivious to him for right now but now he had to move or she
       would hit him.
His right arm shot up in the air standing straight out in front
of him, his eyes shifted to a dark crimson red color his hand
beginning to rotate in the air seeming to draw a simple seal of
magic into the air, the seal crawled out of a very intricate
design, a circle with a serpent eating its tail on the inside.
“Sheaseram” the words glided through his lips almost as simply
and intricate as before, his eyes were slightly changed becoming
that of a dark crimson color as his spell began to take shape a
simple spell of sorts and she would understand how the spell
       worked.
Spears levitated around him, the spears made completely of
lightning, five of them levitating in front of the seal each
spear with a tip of ice among them, and they shot forth the
first one going towards the middle Adema while the other four
disappeared seeming to come from all sides of the phoenix, the
circle formation of the spears was the same as if she was
surrounded by spears that had been held by soldiers. He watched
observing how she did things to maybe find out what power she
       truly held.
(Sorry Momma I apologize for the length)

       TAG! You're it.
By: Adema Date: February 9, 2012, 4:08 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Adema watched as Gabe disrobed and began to actually get serious
now; all she could do was smirk in joy. Seems this man wasn't
treating her as if she was but a woman anymore, but someone who
he needed to take seriously or else he would fail, she liked
that sudden change in attitude. "Finally.." The daughter
Darkfire spoke as the place took a different tone than before.
The mockery was done, the testing was over, now it was time for
them to actually get down to business. Her eye glowed brighter,
as if scanning the man and their surroundings before dimming out
once more. Adema's hair began to cause the air to ripple even
more so, as the heat the strands produced magnified and began to
smolder and burn as if molten magma.
Adema watched carefully the hand gestures of the man as he
created some sort of seal; similar to the seals her father and
brother uses, but different in some strange way. Seems this dog
does have some tricks up his sleeve that could prove useful.
But, his feeble attempts would get him nowhere with Adema; her
master mind would see this through to the end and be guaranteed
a hit before the thought even registered in his head. She could
have attacked him now while he was summoning his artwork, but
she had another plan, she would wait and see exactly what it is
that he was going to do and show him exactly why she is the
daughter of a solider and a god. Her body levitated only
slightly more off the ground than before as the two 'clones' -
simple mirages- slowly rotated around a single point, which then
rotated with them; creating this 'shuffling of cards' type of
       movement.
The area around her began to heat up, the ground began to get
scorched by the very temperature of the air around her form.
Even blades of grass began to burn, blackening the land below
her five foot nine inch body, or in this case, bodies. Now, she
       sees it, what the man had worked to produce. Spears;
projectiles. She figured he wasn't going for the hand to hand
like she had expected; which was a good thing because he wasn't
as predictable as she had thought him out to be. This put a
smirk upon her red lips, her tongue slid out to seductively
gloss the aforementioned flaps of skin before her plan was put
into play. The rotation began to pick up speed, all done while
the spears were still forming, and pulling in the released heat.
As the spears were shot, five straight at the center, while the
rest circled her and darted toward her in some formation,
Adema's 'pull' of heat began to collide with the ice tipped
spears of lightning. The ice, helped cool down the intense heat
and create an updraft, which Adema then used to funnel the
       spears upward toward her.
The funnel followed Adema as she shot skyward as if she was
creating a vacuum. The quick movements were uncanny for just any
mental user, but the mind could deceive more so than one thinks.
The body of the Phoenix flew toward Gabe at incredible speeds,
especially considering they weren't even that far from each
other to begin with. The woman flew THROUGH Gabe, not hitting
him. But, what would be the danger was the spears following the
ghost like form of the woman. The other two specters joined in
on the future attack: The one that flew through him through a
mid-air kick at the man's head. One landed to the left of him,
ducking low and going for a sweep. The last one, though a very
strange tactic, stood a few feet behind the man, simply watching
and drawing in the air with her finger as if she was conducting
an orchestra. Surely, this man would be hit, if so, she would
either end the test here, or let him past to the next trial with
an A for effort and good graveling techniques. Or, he would find
a way to hit her and be pushed through the final round. Either
way, she had high hopes for him, maybe his skills could be put
to good use. Besides, after this, he's her father's
responsibility, not hers. And, he had better be happy.

       The True Colors Finally show
By: JD Draconian Date: February 9, 2012, 5:16 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Gabe was different than some simple combatant, being alive
longer than most he had seen it all but this, this was new, fire
seemed to come from her out of nowhere as if created by the
simple creation of the mind, he seemed to smirk in a sadistic
tone as the woman’s own seemingly flashy show began to take
effect, the tornado, the spears falling inward and creating an
updraft and her shooting into the air before coming towards him.
She shot straight through him like an arrow fired forth from a
bow and yet no pain seemed to come forth meaning it didn’t count
as a hit or she may have ended the test there. So he looked up
still a bit stunned by the way she did things but regaining
himself quickly, raising his left hand upward his defense began.
His outstretched left hand seemed to close to one of the spears
as it shot forth, “Shereath” the words slipped from his lips
elegantly and seemingly to be commanding as the spears seemed to
disappear the energy returning to the master that it came from
outlining his body in the electric type energy. His eyes began
shifting around the battlefield and the wind, the flow of it
disrupted behind him and to the left, there was movement and
Gabriel would have to be quick, his outstretched hand clenched
closed tightly and the energy that outlined his body shot
outward the ground itself being torn up from the exertion of the
access energy thrown off of his body throwing off the two
attacks aimed for his small body.
Gabriel’s eyes shifted to a different color once again becoming
a dark onyx color, the tattoos on his body gleaming with the
same black color as the new spell began to take its form its
course, expanding thoughts surrounded the area, as darkness
surrounded Gabriels body and then shot outward expanding along
the area before slowly beginning to be drawn back in towards
where Gabriel would have stood, the smell of blood radiating
around the area as the darkness began to fade, it disappeared
giving Gabe enough time to do what he needed a dagger lay
between his pale lips and across his arm lay a slit where just
enough blood leaked through. He shifted on his feet and turned
to face where Adema had sat and his eyes watched her.
His eyes had now changed from the pure onyx black color to the
now onyx black color with a swirling tint of red, the use of his
forbidden spell list was what made him useful in pure combat for
the spells were powerful yet only required a sacrifice of blood,
the sky began to darken as a giant seal began carving itself
upon the ground beneath all of them it would take a while since
every drop of the blood that reached the ground expanded the
seal and allowed it to draw forth. He was crafty but ready to
turn to the dark side if he needed to, to win at his match. For
now though he waited allowing his blood to drip to the ground.

       A test of will.
By: Adema Date: February 9, 2012, 2:59 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
"The mind.." Adema started as the man began his defense against
       her attacks toward him. The colors changing around them;
deepening and brightening once more. Even his eyes seemed to
take on a whole new personality. Adema wasn't startled by this,
she was hoping that, from all of his time spent alive, he would
be able to past this test with relative ease. Granted, Adema was
tough as nails and trained rigorously, she was still new to the
combat scene. However, she would not be taken lightly, even if
it was just to be touched once like a game of children's tag.
"It's such a confusing subject to most.." She continued as her
finger kept up the orchestral motions as if controlling
something from afar. "It's quite simple to understand, really.
Very easy to manipulate. Very easy to control and pick apart.."
Adema spoke with a smirk upon her lips, as her mind searched for
something, anything that could break this man down.
He didn't want to answer her questions for some reason, and she
intended on finding out. "You're along, aren't you, Gabe? Did
some people die? Was some people taken away from you? Is this
why you remain so closed lipped about your fears? Afraid that,
whatever tragedy befell you, would happen once more?" She asked,
now taking note of the falling blood, burning into the ground to
build something around him. The wind was still, which caused his
blood to drip perfectly onto one spot, but Adema was smarter
than to allow him to create whatever it was that he was about to
create. Her finger soon paused, lowered, then raised once more,
summoning the large fire boulders from before to rise behind the
man. "I am sorry, for your loss.." Adema smirked as the boulders
began to be launched toward the man. Five in total, varying in
size and speed. Her arms then spread apart as flaming logs began
to appear on each side, spiraling toward the man's direction. If
that wasn't enough, Adema's eye, that has been trained upon the
man for this amount of time, set in motion a lock of his motor
skills, rendering his limbs useless; this wasn't her most
powerful mental attack, far from it, but it surely would be a
tough thing to break. Will his will power be enough to break
free of Adema's hold and dodge the projectiles, while giving up
on his charging attack? Or will he be too broken to break free
from the light hold she had on him in time and succumb to his
       own nightmares.

       Freedom at Last
By: JD Draconian Date: February 10, 2012, 8:42 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Gabriel sighed lightly as the woman spoke ignoring each word
trying to keep it from hurting him he watched, yet his vision
was blurring over the battle around him everything was cold and
the last of her words finally hit home. I’m sorry for your loss
the last word the only word echoing through his mind and all
went dark, and like a movie everything played in his head, the
shifting of memories the words, those dreaded words slipping
through the cracks of the chains that had once held them in
place, and finally the last of the words driving him over the
edge into the confines of darkness the ultimate edge of what was
locked up. Gabriel I thought we were friends.
His knees bent and to them he fell everything else quiet around
him, like a book whose pages had been sealed the memories of his
life flashed before his eyes, the little dark elf boy playing
with an elf, two dreaded rivals playing like the best of
friends, when the scene changed everything was different the
little elf boy stood with a group of males he had grown to be
about teenagers age, his eyes were battle worn and a staff
rested on his back, a sage at the mere age of a teenager, but
that was the day the day everything changed. Lead an assault
against the dark elves the words stung deep but he still had to
oblige it was orders, orders he would obey.
The scene played out one more time the words slipping through
Gabriels lips, as he spoke to the dark elf before him both
armies behind their commanders and the words rising from both
their lips at the same time, CHARGE the battle raged on the
elves pulling out a victory but just barely Gabriel stood over
Zacharie’s half dead body before looking down at him hated looks
to each of these old friends. Zacharies word was small but
simple “Sheash” and then he fell silent everything ended for him
as Gabriel put the end of his staff through his old friends
chest a dark light erupting around the two before fading out.
The memories ended all at once as a whole and something about
       Gabriel changed.
A laughter erupted from the spot he had remained on his knees, a
sadistic laughter but one that was completely of a different
view point than Gabriel’s personality. The wound upon his wrist
seemed to draw the blood that was leaking down his arm back in
but still the wound remained, inside his eyes emotion finally
showed anger, hate and betrayal all shown in the eyes of the
boy. He rose to his feet the seemingly newfound boy different
from the first, he glanced at Adema as the attacks she had
placed up around him seemed to be drawn towards the ground, the
blood seal on the ground small but simple becoming a simple
catalyst for a small draw in or magnet for the simple earthen
       materials.
“Ahh its good to be free from that assholes mind, ever since he
talked to that stupid god woman he has had better control over
his mind.” His eyes seemed to swirl between three colors, a
violet purple color, a dark eerie black color, and a bright
crimson red color as he spoke, his voice was more cocky then
Gabe’s and body stature held more confidence “Oh where are my
manners, I am the one known as Zacharie a prisoner of this boys
mind of course of my own doing,” He gave another more sadistic
laugh, “now where am I and what is he doing here.” His eyes
watched the attacks drawn to the ground slamming into it and
sending him sliding to the side, “so hes fighting you I take
       it.”
